'This isn't an easy choice like the crucible knight weapons.'
Looking at the pair of options since Misko does some mental gymnastics but in the end, he comes to a decision.
His mind follows a simple process to evaluate for the pair of talismans that can be summed up as 'how useful the talisman will be in this new world', now he knows most of his time in this new world will be filled with combat and said combat will be full of elemental damage since he also knows the monsters love to use elemental damage to mess with Link by either stunning him with lighting, freezing him in place with ice or causing continuous damage with fire, For Misko it's not a question that the Pearldrake talisman will have a use in the future but its not the same for the Rot Talisman, the Rot talisman requires a more work but for a greater pay off.
Turning away from the prompt he goes to open the System shop to look at poison equipment to find out there isn't a lot of poison weapons with there only being a count of 3 and one of them is a bow, for the scarlet rot weapons he doesn't even look since he's not going to touch that stuff till he's got a method to counter it, He doesn't want a second Caelid in any world.
Though these hoops he comes to a realization there's no real concept of poison in the Zelda world, each of the other element types seem to have a correlation but poison doesn't have a counter part like scarlet rot with malice, If there isn't any poison in this world that means nothing has any natural poison resistance, everything is susceptible to poison and there aren't cures for poison outside of magic but in this era non elemental magic is at an all-time low.
Hoping in that this decision isn't the wrong one he focuses his thoughts 'system I'll take the Rot gods exaltation talisman.'
[Notice: the Host has chosen [Kindred of Rot's Exultation], Due to the Choice being a [Talisman], activating the [Talisman pouch] sub system]]
[Notice: By paying 10 resources from any individual Resource type the host may purchase a [Talisman pouch], a [Talisman pouch] allows the Host to equip an additional [Talisman] per pouch, there is no limit to the number of [Talisman pouches] the host may have but note, some [Talisman's] have counteracting effects and cannot be equipped at the same time]
[Notice: Host Stats with access to one Talisman pouch do you equip [Kindred of Rot's Exultation] to the talisman pouch?]
'why not, just equip it.' As he thinks this, he finally exits the thicket of trees and sees the fort on the hill close by, its not an impressive fort going off the rotting wooden walls but Misko will admit the spikes surrounding the fort makes it look intimidating otherwise.
He could see the rudimentary trap at the entrance of the fort with a massive steel ball being held back from rolling down the path, which is the only entrance to the fort, he also sees a Blue Bokoblin standing Infront of the trap ready to set it off if it sees any hostile.
Misko could easily tell the Bokoblin must think it's the height of strategy to have the trap ready but misko could tell its just an idiot since its standing right in the path of the ball if it would destroy the wooden barrier kenning the ball.
Repressing the memory of the stupidity of monsters in this world he sighs before starting to formulate his own plan.
While he forms a plan, he just keeps watch over the keep and can see some movement within the fort, he also sees there seems there to be an balcony over the wall on the east side of the fort, there he sees a Bokoblin wielding a bow while having on its back a basket of orange fruit.
'An archer with something on its back, since the fruit on its pack is orange instead of yellow or blue I would assume it'll use Fire arrows, I will not be a fan of that if it becomes a fight, maybe if I could get up there somehow without being seen. . .'
At that thought his mind stops for a second before he mentally asks the system, 'System do I have the same properties as if I was playing as link?'
[Answer: in most ways yes but there are certain properties which you cannot replicate and certain properties which he can't replicate, the properties which can't be used by the other are those related Zonai technology, Sheik technology or the [Elden ring Roulette System].
Due to the [Elden ring Roulette system] bonding to the host when you woke up on the beach you become designated as a Notable entity within the world, the world itself essentially compared you to the closest equivalent at the time and decided to use your appearance and knowledge as a way to improve the hero before the battle with Ganondorf, It did this since it has classified Ganondorf as a Kill on sight class entity, due to this connection happening just as Link was encountering Gandorf the cascade of new information made link pause for a moment so he was given little time to react against Ganondorf's malice strike, leading to the start of the Tears of the kingdom Era's process of events.
Due to this Mistake, the world is having what can be described as a panic attack as monsters regain strength with stronger evolutions appearing as well as more organised monster forces being poised to strike at the rebuilding remnants of the Calamity era, Due to this The World is technically giving you a benefit in the hope that you somehow become a Kill Ganondorf with Link.
The Benefit in question is the same for you but instead of mental proficiency, you gained Physical proficiency where you gained the physical properties of Link: all weapon proficiency, Climbing skill, enhanced Stamina regeneration, Greater pain tolerance, less required sleep, an Iron Stomach and cooking proficiency.]
Hearing how his appearance essentially caused the start of the era he's both shocked and a bit frazzled.
"Fuck," 'I only wanted to know if I could climb like link or something, but you essentially tell me the world wants to groom me to be the plan B, wait if I got his physical parts and he got my mental skills what did he gain in the process.'
[Answer: Link has your full understanding and memories related to the Zelda Game series and won't be tricked by simple gambits of Ganondorf such as the existence of phantom Ganon, while starting with the knowledge that Zelda is currently the light Dragon with an improved master sword in her forehead.
Link has learned of the hidden Boss class entities who could and would join Ganondorf on his grand crusade in this world as well as their Weaknesses if they have them (a.k.a Shoot the glowing big eye).
Link has Learned of Allies and of the legends behind allies who might be able to assist him multiple ways, an example of a possible ally would be Fi who would have perfect Geographical knowledge of Hyrule from experiencing the land from both upon it and above it for millennia.
Link has Learned of the location of the Tree of Life which produces fruit that can cure any illness or disease, this includes being transformed into a dragon due to consuming a secret stone!]
'Ok! I now Know why the World thought it should improve link when I appeared, I feel it's a fair fucking trade, I mean he's probably still going to have to fix all the region problems around hyrule but at least he won't have to act like Simp the entire time.'
Focusing on the fort after that bombshell he sighs, 'well if I have links climbing ability I should be able to climb over that wall onto the balcony to take out the archers before the rest of the fort, the spike wall around the fort means I can't climb the rock face but I could get around it at the entrance of the fort but it's very likely I would be seen trying to stealth this, luckily I have an idea for that.'
[Blue archer Bokoblin Pov]
'Being an archer on a balcony is not interesting job especially when one of the boss's Lieutenant says you have to be extra alert because the flimsy watch tower of the other team in the forest fell over, the lieutenant in charge of the mountain camp called that tower a death trap and he was kinda right, I could never feel safe on that thing, the fort balcony is way better maybe because its closer to the ground'
The bokoblin's though process is Cut short as the sound of breaking wood is heard, at first, he's not interested in it since that sound is usually associated with making better clubs out of thick branches by bashing them against each other, but the cry like a squealing pig is heard coming from the fort entrance, Turning to the entrance the iron ball has been released onto the path.
Knowing this is the sign of an attack the Bokoblin readies his bow and places a fire fruit on his notched arrow, he keeps his eyes locked on the entrance but doesn't see any Hylian at the entrance.
Most of the Monsters within the fort share a look of confusion before the pair of Lieutenants who run this fort for the boss walk towards the entrance to try and find any enemies.
Once their far away the archer hears a slight popping sound near him, he doesn't turn around since the enemy should be coming from the fort entrance and Archers should stay focused on where enemies should be.
This though process is his last as a Bouquet of antlers pierces though his chest from behind, the Bokoblin pops to reveal an entity wearing a silver chest plate but with a ghost like cloak covering it head to its knees masking its presence even in the light.
[Misko's Pov]
'My plan worked perfectly, I start by sneaked up towards the fort guard from the side so it wouldn't see me, then summon a light dagger and sent it into the wooden barrier to make the metal ball roll over the guard and cause enough confusion to slip behind the spike wall and get to under the balcony quietly.
From there climb the wall and take out the archer who would be focused on the entrance due to the trap, first hiccup to the plan would be that the archer wasn't alone, there turned out to be two archers, luckily the second one didn't hear him take out the first one, now I'm in the Fort and the archers and a guard are already taken care off and all of this is made possible due to my decision to use my War Remnant and two any to get the Black knife assassin armour torso.'
Misko choose this armour due to two things, First at some point he knows he can't always rely on stealth to get kills so he knew he needed armour if he was going to enter a fight meaning it's an immediate requirement necessitating the usage of the limited free resources, Secondly upon thinking about his current tactic of stealth kills he feels he needed a buff to improve his stealth overall if he wanted to fulfil his current plan.
Funnily enough the perfect option for this crossroad was within his grasp with the option of the Black knife set's Chest armour piece which muffles all sound the wearer makes while also covering the wearer in a Transparent cloak, once he wore it he noticed how the cloak actually seam ethereal to his eyes but when he saw how the outside layer of the cloak on his arm made it actually look blurry when it moved, He smiled when he saw this as its way better than he hoped.
'Now there seems to be only two left, A black Bokoblin and a Black Moblin, this won't be as easy sneaking in.'
