After waiting for a half hour, the Brawlers' bated breath was drawn when Fabia re-entered the room. "Well?", Shun asked. "What did your sister say?"

"It wasn't that difficult to convince Serena to send out a party to investigate.", Fabia said in response. "Her only conditions were that only three of the Brawlers were allowed to leave on the mission."

"So I think our first two choices should be obvious.", Marucho spoke up. "Dan is our strongest battler, and Ren knows the most about those Gundalians."

"And I'm the one who the greatest knowledge of the territory.", Fabia concluded. "Right, Aranaut?"

"Indeed.", Aranaut nodded. "Back when our partnership first began, Fabia and I used to train outside the citadel to increase our compatibility."

Drago then popped out of his own ball. "Looks like we're agreed on who's going on this mission. But can the others hold the fort in our absence?"

"Don't worry a thing, dudes.", Jake assured him. "With the skills Dan the Man and you taught me and Coredem, we've got this place fully protected."

Everyone seemed nervous at Jake being the one to say this. "Try not to be gone too long.", Marucho urged.

"Don't worry.", Ren assured him. "We'll be back as soon as Vladimir is no longer a threat."

And so a short while later, the three Brawlers teleported out to the wilderness, where they saw the Gundalian party in the middle of digging for something. Dan's first instinct was to drag everyone behind a rock. "What's the point in spying on them?", Fabia asked. "We already know they're up to something."

"But we don't know what.", Drago whispered to her. "If we can spy on them, we can find out what's under that dirt that's so important."

"Why wait, Brawlers?", a voice from behind them said. The trio turned around to see three ball form Bakugan, an Aquos Fangoid, a Haos Longfly and a Ventus Splight, were looking down at them. "We'll just tell you everything you want to know.", the Fangoid continued.

Knowing that there was no point to subterfuge, the three Brawlers allowed the three Bakugan - and the guards who had turned around in response to their voice - to escort them to the Professor. "You really didn't think I'd have a security detail on guard in case you Castle Knights got suspicious?", he said to the three.

"Indeed, I held no delusions that the Brawlers wouldn't try to stop me from getting the ultiamte prize.", Vladimir continued. "I was expecting all of the Battle Brawlers, but you three will suffice."

Drago then emerged from his ball. "I don't suppose you'll tell us what all this is about?"

"I'm glad you asked, Dragonoid.", Vladimir smirked. "Beneath this ground lays a crystal of immense power, a sister to one that fell onto Gundalia. When the two are brought together, they will open the gateway to a new world." He then took out two Bakugan, one Pyrus, one Sub Terra. "One I won't allow you Brawlers to become a part of."

If it's a fight you want," Dan began, "then you've got it."

Drago and Aranaut both retracted into their spherical form, and leapt into their partners hands. "Bakugan brawl! Bakugan stand!"

"Pyrus Lumino Dragonoid"

"Haos Aranaut"

Vladimir simply smiled, throwing out his own Bakugan. "Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan, stand! Pyrus Olifus and Sub Terra Quakix!" The two Bakugan soon emerged at giant sized, with Olifus being a giant red moth-like creature, with yellow dragonfly wings, and Quakix reminding Dan and Drago of a primitive, evil, nasty version of their old ally Gorem. He lacked arms having 4 arms extending from his torso, with a claw that resembled the hammer Gorem had wielded upon his evolution. He also had hedge like trimmings surrounding his main body. "Young Kuso, you may have encountered another Bakugan from Quakix's family tree in your universe."

"He may look like Gorem, but that doesn't mean he's our ally.", Drago announced. "Let's go, Dan."

"Right.", Dan nodded before bringing out his Ability Card. "Ability, activate! Cross Barnum!" Drago proceeded to launch his attack.

But Vladimir proved just as quick to counter. "Double Ability, activate! Thorn Shield, plus King Thunder!" Quakix stamped the ground, generating a flurry of thorns that took the Cross Fire, incinerating. "Thorn Shield nullifies your Ability in its tracks, allowing me to move onto this."

Olifus then fired a beam of energy from his maw. "Say goodnight."

But Fabia was quick to counter. "Ability, activate! Jumpy Mirage!" Aranaut leapt in to counter Olifus by lowering his power level.

"In the name of the Castle Knights, I will put an end to your evil!", Aranaut declared, blocking Olifus's beam.

"So this is the famous Aranaut.", Vladimir commented. "I'm not impressed. Ability, activate! Taro Crusher!"

"Crush. Destroy. Aranaut.", Quakix growled as his claws glowed with energy, before clamping down on Aranaut.

"Hold on, Aranaut!", Dan called out as he fought back. "Ability, activate! Lumino Reflector!" Drago glowed with energy before crashing into Quakix, sending him flying backwards.

"Thank you, Drago.", Aranaut nodded.

"Think nothing of it.", Drago said in response. "I'll always stop to help a friend in need."

"And that's why you're going to fall before us.", Olifus bragged. "Shall we do it, Master?"

"As you wish." Vladimir then took out another card. "Ability, activate! Gaia Ryugu!"

A large castle made of dirt and rock emerged from the ground, trapping the three battlers and their Bakugan within. "Dan, Fabia!", Ren cried out, he tried running to the structure before it formed, but was too late. And the resulting fortress had no windows or doors to enter through.

"Now that both our allies are trapped within Gaia Ryugu, neither of us can interfere with their battle.", the Professor gloated. "And I think my friends here will keep you busy long enough for me to finish digging."

Sure enough, the rest of the Gundalian troops threw out their Bakugan, creating a veritable army. "Ren, let's go.", Linehalt called out as he folded himself up.

"Okay.", Ren nodded, before grabbing his partner. "Bakugan Brawl! Bakugan, stand! Rise, Darkus Linehalt!"

Linehalt now stood before the army of Gundalian Bakugan. "It feels strange to be facing so many of my former allies. But fate had pitted us against each other."

Inside the structure, the two Brawlers were looking around confused. "What is this place?", Dan asked.

"Gaia Ryugu is a sub-space that gives my Pyrus and Sub Terra Bakugan a power level boost when they're out together.", Vladimir explained. "And to ensure Olifus and Quakix have an even greater chance of victory." Vladimir then summoned a piece of Battle Gear from the palm of his hand, throwing it at Olifus. "Battle Gear, Boost!"

With his new Battle Gear, Olifus now had a prominent propeller mounted on his back. "Let's see what you can do against my power, now that I'm equipped with the Terrix Gear.", he gloated.

"We'll see about that.", Fabia declared. "Dan, let's go."

"Right.", Dan nodded, with the pair of them pulling out their Ability Cards.

"Double Ability, activate!", the pair called out.

"Cross Fire, plus…"

"Mirage Fist!"

The two Bakugan then launched their attacks at Olifus, creating smoke that obscured their foes. "Did we get him?", Aranaut asked.

"I sure hope so.", Drago said in response. Then the smoke cleared to reveal that Olifus was completely unharmed. "What?"

"How did he not take any damage?", Dan asked. "I know we hit him."

"Battle Gear Ability Terrix Gear Cyclone.", was Vladimir's answer . "By rotating its three blades at a precise velocity, I can block any attack aimed at my two Bakugan."

"Enough talk, master.", Olifus growled. "Let's finish them now."

"Very well." Vladimir held up two cards. "Double Ability, activate! Grand Smack Down…" Quakix Gorem punched the ground, causing large rocks to fly into the air and rain down on Aranaut, forcing him back into ball form. "… plus Battle Gear Ability, Terrix Gear Slicer!" Olifus' tri-bladed contraption span around at a great speed and launched at Drago, taking him out of the battle.

"No, Aranaut.", Fabia cried out.

"I'm sorry, princess.", Aranaut said in a resigned tone. He'd said this a lot lately. With the battle over, the Gaia Ryugu fortress crumbled apart around everyone.

Outside, Ren had Linehalt launch an attack against the enemy army. "Ability, activate! Razen Breaker!" Linehalt unleashed a wave of energy that knocked all of the enemy Bakugan back into ball form and sent their partners flying. Then they saw the castle falling apart, with Dan and Fabia staggering out. "Dan! Fabia!", Ren called out as he ran over to the two.

Dan managed to pull himself up, despite the pain. "What do you want, General?", Dan demanded.

Before he could get an answer, one of the soldiers ran forward with a large glowing chunk of crystal. "General Vladimir, we have located it."

"Excellent.", the General said, before turning back to his opponents. "With this lump of crystal, I can make a deal that will end in the conquest of two worlds." He then picked up the Crystal from his underling and had another one bring out the larger crystal, slotting the two together to make a complete ore. He then began reciting an incantation. "Interlunium argenteus crepusculum crystallium potestas!" Lightning emitted from the crystal, hitting General Vladimir and his troops, causing them to disappear.

"What happened?", Aranaut asked. "Where'd did they go?"

Linehalt answered him. "Wherever they went, it wasn't anywhere on Neathia. I can't sense them anymore."

"Well wherever they are, we have to follow them.", Fabia stated. "Right, Dan?"

"Right, Fabia.", Dan nodded. "Wherever those Gundalians went, we're not gonna sit by and let them cause chaos. We won't back down!"

Meanwhile, in another universe, 4 of the 5 Sailor Scouts were engaged in battle with a new Daimon, known as Gekisha. Eugeal, thanks to the brief appearances of Sailors Uranus and Neptune, had already confirmed that her target for the day, a teenage girl named Katie Sandler, wasn't the pure heart everyone was looking for, and gone home. "It's time to get you girls out of focus!"

As if on cue, Mercury made her appearance. "Shine Aqua Illusion!" The aquatic attack collided with the Daimon, causing the lenses in her hand to fog over. "Sailor Moon, do it now."

"Right." Sailor Moon declared readying her Spiral Moon Heart Sceptre to attack. But before she could say a word, her Silver Imperium Crystal began glowing, before letting out a large flash, that blinded everyone present. When it cleared, everything was just the same as it was before. Ignoring it for now, Sailor Moon unleashed her attack. "Moon Spiral Heart Attack!"

Gekisha proceeded to take the attack head on. "Now that's a photo finish!", she cried out as she was reduced to a regular digital camera, with the Daimon pod emerging and cracking in two, releasing an eerie spirit.

With the danger over, the girls reverted to their human identities - Serena Tsukino, Raye Hino, Lita Kino, Mina Aino and Amy. "Sorry I'm late, girls.", Amy said, bowing her head profusely. "I just discovered something really amazing back at home."

"Something amazing?", Raye repeated.

"What? What? What is it?", Mina practically blurted out.

Thankfully for Amy's lungs, Lita interjected. "Whoa, hey there girls. Give her some room to breathe." She then turned around and became just as incessant in her nagging. "What did you discover?"

"I think it would be easier to show you all.", Amy said, now that she had room to actually talk. "It's on my Mercury Computer at my apartment."

And as the Sailors all set off to observe this new discovery, Vladimir and his party observed them from nearby. "So it seems that the legends were true.", Vladimir stated. "The crystal brought us to its home universe, just as the legend said it would."

"Now we merely need to find the greatest evil in this universe.", the Professor stated. "And then we can forge an alliance. Offer them what they want, so we can conquer both our targeted planets."

"Finding them shouldn't be too hard.", one of the soldiers pointed out, as he pulled out a scanner. "We need merely locate the greatest source of chaos energy in this area. And then follow it to its source."
