Blade stepped out of the Lotus Shanna behind her. The sun was so bright in the afternoon sky that never-ending blue spread wide. There were so many questions unanswered, but they were all blown away as her eyes wandered and locked on to Fane. This day wasn't over yet. And she be damned to give up now. She still had to show off her Shadion properly. She knew its potential. 'The best you can do is give it your all and stand up time and time again.' She remembered Shanna's words. Her teeth clenched. Fane was the fastest person Blade had seen in action so far, definitely faster than Iolas at least - or Avalon. A dragon and bird projection she had shown. Powerful winged beings, a sharp mind and a temper. In short, a monster, a beast. A Marksman from the Black Magic Hunter Division right below Nerrocean in rank. 'Hopeless… Yet what wasn't?' Blade's eyes narrowed. "I'm not afraid of Black magic nor you." Her fighting spirit flickered in her eyes.

"What are you talking about?" Mercury rushed right to her side.

Tasu grimaced as she ordered her light blue hair, "Wonderful…we fight the Vampire…"

"HA! FINALLY!" Kitty smashed her fist into her hand. A manic grin on her face. "Let's pound her into the sand." She was very eager to vent her frustration. A fight was exactly what she needed.

Lion had a bad feeling about this, "Don't overestimate yourself…"

"TS!" Volcano snorted. "Where's the pride of the Specialists when you need it…"

"HEY!" Max and Damon protested vehemently.

Nebula puffed, "So, since you are a Marksman, everything is allowed?" She wanted to know the rules. Every one of the kids was tense but also eager.

"Sure, all BUT dragging other people into it. This is your fight, not theirs. If you kill me you get an A plus, by the way," Fane smirked challengingly. There was no way, of course, she could kill anyone of them in an instant though. Fane just loved to rile up aspirants in the Order tests there was no difference here staying cool was important for battle. One too easily riled up was a problem for any team. She could feel the swaying emotions of the students, that lingering frustration burned like a fire that morphed into a battle cry. 'Now, time for my first teaching lesson.' Her fangs flashed as she felt the rapid built-up of magic.

"Willow's Grasp!"; "Stun Spores!"; "Magnetic Force!"; "Entangle!"; "Shadow Bind!"; "Chains!", "Static Field!"; "Ice Cage!"; "Grapple!" A barrage of stun spells got set off before any other word could be uttered. The Sorceresses were first and the Fairies followed up on it.

Fane snorted so hard as with ease she simply backed off in a slight zig-zag and watched the spells, which had different speeds and ranges clash into each other and hinder themselves. Furthermore, Light ones collided with Dark ones and exploded. EVERYTHING missed her graciously as she simply had moved backwards. "AHAHAHAHA!" She laughed her ass off. 'So green…'

"Hit it!" Misery glared at Breeze and pointed to her spores trickling down.

"Urgh, stop commanding me around!" She protested while Sienna shot a Note Blast. "ROARING WIND!" Breeze in haste drew her arms back her wind magic flicked her grey coat up her orange inlay flashed through.

"Too slow!" Fane in a white-purple flash simply pushed through the two, Misery and Breeze, apart as she darted through them and evaded Kai's sabre slash and Max's hammer in the same breath.

"What the!?" Tessa barely turned her head as she cancelled her Static Field that had missed its target. Only to have to dodge a stray spell from Rise that shouldn't have gotten anyway NEAR her.

Kitty spat as a Fane's fist burrowed into her stomach and lifted her off her feet. 'Too… slo….' She didn't even have the time for her summon runes to appear or start reciting the call before all went black.

"KITTY!" Some students shouted in disbelief that Fane had disregarded everyone and simply dashed into the backline.

The teachers and Order members had dashed to the sides as the stun spells had been fired like a tsunami wave. "NO killing or breaking bones on your part!" Votzaak reminded Fane as he breathed in between his teeth as Kitty's body hit the ground, "Ouch…the girl truly sucks at evading."

While Hagen was set down by Aithlin who had pulled him away.

Just as everyone else was saved by the Council Guard when they were a little too slow because the battle started earlier than expected. The Elf guards made sure that no one got hit.

"I swear I'll throw you to the dragons, Votzaak, if any student gets severely hurt. The Council can have you for lunch." Aithlin growled at the leprechaun.

"Council? Don't forget the Kings and Queens…" Faragonda shook her head, but her initial fear subsided quickly as the shock ebbed down.

"Boo-hoo," Itzcali nagged, "They knew what would be trained and taught in this track. Their mistake." Her black-tipped tail twitched around in excitement, she would love to do this herself. But since she rather used deadly weapons her volunteering had been shut down in the prior meetings by all the school staff.

Fane smirked as she evaded some axe swings from Mercury as she held on with one hand to Kitty's unconscious body. "Ohhh, cute." She boosted her body with magic jumped up high and Julius's katana swung into nothingness. Julius had rushed to hit her in her blind spot. As Fane began to fall she hit Julius's shoulder hard to use him like a springboard and evaded a bunch of magic orbs from the Fairies and Sorceresses.

Julius crashed into Tyson and Alex and they got hammered into the arena sands and out of the way of all the explosions as Dark and Light magic collided once again above his head. As they rose their faces from the sand they had a weapon salat to sort out first.

"Sooo easy!" Fane smack-talked the kids to rile them up. "CATCH!" She made a spin mid-air.

"Slicing Fea- WOAH!" Birdy cancelled her spell as the unconscious body of Kitty knocked her back in the air. Birdy dropped a few meters in height as her pink wings hummed like crazy to counter the additional weight.

Marble had to hastily dodge right into Steela's spell and got knocked down by her steel pillars.

"Too Inattentive!" Fane resounded from behind Birdy and her fingers like a dart hit the back between her wings.

Birdy flinched and gasped with a squeak in her natural defence response her Fairy form deactivated as the Dark magic shock was so precise to her magical wing muscles.

Fane redirected a Fox Flames from Amber with ease and let it clash with Aylssa's growing vines. Fane was unimpressed, 'They jumped the gun… their formation wasn't even ready for a surprise attack. The idea to take initiative was great but the execution… Not. At. All.' There had been too many of the kids deep in thought or struck with worry and confusion. A rather intricate pre-planned plan had fallen to pieces in the first second. Fane knew at least that much by just one glance at the battlefield. The kids were running around like panicked chickens and not enough attacks followed to make even a scratch and keep her at her toes. Her eyes fell on Birdy flailing around with Kitty in her arms in a free fall and dashed towards her.

"Water sphere!" Tasu's voice resounded from the side as with a hastened aim she shot off her glistening sphere and even got pushed back by her own spell as she had put so much force into it. Yet Polarissa wanted to catch up and crashed right into her. "Watch it!"

"You watch it!" The Sorceress hissed back.

Tasu pushed Polarissa out of her way as she balled her hands collecting more magic. 'We're too slow! If we don't do something-' She could hear Gilliana raving somewhere. She had not waited for the Sorceress to apply the plan…

Fane grabbed Birdy by the arm and flung her into the water spell. She watched the Crown Princess go pale. Fane gave a quick peek to Kitty but that giant specialist, Dean, was already on it. So, she dashed forward and caught the pink-haired princess in her rapid descent once more as she avoided a lot more shots from other students, Sorceresses and Fairies alike. Pure chaos ensued in the midst of the air and everyone opened fire.

"Gotcha," Dean slid through the sand. He made it in time to save Kitty. "Hey wake up…Kitty. Kitty?" She was still out cold. "Damn it… we need you…" One glance above and he noticed the spell bombardment didn't do a scratch to Fane or Birdy in her claws.

Not even when Dusk misfired on purpose as she tried to box in Fane for the other Sorceresses to not hit Birdy. Sadly, because Keith shot his arrow, since he had seen his chance to get a headshot, Dusk's spell and his arrow exploded both prematurely next to Fane but still out of range for the lightning arrow and not far enough to box her in.

Fane chuckled, 'They have no sense for an army formation…'

"Water sphere! Water sphere! Wat- PARTING WATERS!" Tasu swapped her spell and pulled the spells out of the way as Fane used Birdy as a body shield to hide behind as Fane closed in.

Fane zig-zagged as orbs, bolts and beams from the Fairies, Sorceresses and Specialists tried to hit her in the back, but just like in the start a bit of spiralling and the spells hindered each other more than did any harm. They were a nice warm gust of explosions on her skin, while she raced at Tasu.

Tasu's heart pounded so strongly in her chest as the Vampire got to hold right in front of her. Tasu's water spheres were still way out, she had overshot! Or better said Fane too fast and she had miscalculated. 'Shit-' Tasu's breath got stuck. That presence, that overwhelming presence… and all that in just one heartbeat.

"RUN!" A sound wave boomed over Tasu's and Fane's heads as Sienna destroyed all water spells, Gilliana's and Tasu's alike, before they would hit Tasu, she was frozen on the spot. Fane surely would tank it, unlike Tasu.

"Too desperate!" Fane pressed off the sand as she let Birdy fall to the ground.

Snow's ice spell on the other hand froze the splashing water to icicles yet all of them missed Fane while Alyssa's vines got shredded to pieces once again.

Fane in the blink of an eye grew a Dark magic tail lashed behind her to shield Birdy from harm and it evaporated again. At the same time, she made a flip grabbed Tasu by the shoulders flung her out of the icicle rain. Team A was rushing in but too far away still to make any use of this vulnerable move set. So, she dashed again.

Volcano's and Dahlia's spells impacted the sand where Fane just a moment ago had stood. "Oh, come one!?" Oblivious to that they stopped the Specialist charge.

Fane had circumvented the comets and gave Tasu no chance to recover. Her axe kick battered into the Water Fairy.

Seth, with Team A, didn't give up to connect the attacks but made a hard break and blinked so irritated, "Fane didn't hit Tasu. Why is she out cold?!" He asked Lion who was sprinting just like the rest of Team A as suddenly a second wave of comet rain soared over their heads cutting them off. "The fuck!?"

Kai stopped in his charge he was too slow and that lava orb nearly burned his hair off, "Hey watch it! We're in formation Beta!" He raised his fist at the girls.

"You wish, we are Delta!" Dahlia and Volcano hissed.

Sienna scratched her head, "But this looks like Eta…"

"What the!?" Michael froze he was running away to get more distance but he had looked over his shoulders here and there. "They didn't hit ones!?" The redhead drew his massive crossbow and searched for a good advantage point. Michael had to hurry. "Polarissa!" He pointed to the ranks and got a nod from the small Sorceress who in all the rearranging was close by.

Mercury ground his teeth. He had run to get closer to Amber who was unsure what to do next exactly and too scared to draw attention after that axe kick. Mercury loaded his axes as Michael got flung up high onto the ranks. "FORMATION SIGMA!" Mercury called out to everyone in the arena grounds to get some order back. They already had lost plans A, B and C and people kinda were unsure which formation they were supposed to use in this mess.

All while Julius and Lion still signed to each other. With that giant mess, their teams were rather hit by friendly fire than Fane and they had to counter their own allies. There simply were too many people to keep track of all the different kinds of preparations for combo attacks. "Girls you can't just- Remember the plan!" They pleaded.

Mercury angled his axes ready to give it a go as he rushed to the frontline. "AMBER!" They had to buy more time!

"Only through air pressure of the axe kick?! … If that had been contact…Tasu's shoulder be in shambles," Keith stood there in shock he had found his tag partner, Tessa, and Gilliana still on her way. From his angle, he had seen it. The axe kick had never connected the wind pressure Fane generated alone was enough to knock the Fairy out. "How are we suppose…How…?" His lightning glaive in his hand trembled as did his arm.

"Stop, freezing up will ya!" Tessa hissed at Keith as she nearly darted past him, there was no time for this shit now. "Static energy…" She started to load up her hands with crackling lightning.

"Dude get a grip already!" Steela was buying time with her next attack for the others even if that wasn't the intent per se.

Gilliana growled as she out of breath reached the two, "That stupid Crown Princess. I'm not fast enough with solely my water… That damn Vampire is way too quick to hit with a simple sickle!" She vented.

"OVERCONFIDENT!" Fane snarled as she shattered the steel pillar that sprouted from the ground to impale her with her fist and evaded a Piercing Spear that Blade had shot for a pincer attack. A little steel forest grew within seconds in its place, shattered the spear in its way and reached to impale her. Yet Fane was unphased by it, like a frog she squatted down on an angled one before she catapulted herself forward. 'And there goes puff some precious Light magic.'

"PAH! You WISH! SPIKE!" Steela hollered as she reached out with her hand and flooded an overwhelming amount of magic into the pillars. She had enough of those stupid formations that did nothing.

Fane like an ape simply used the spikes that grew like branches to swing forward. Through their sizes and angles, it was easy for a seasoned warrior like her to find a safe route through this metal forest and the best thing was that those metal beams even if sharp and pointy as needles held off so many attacks and spells from the others.

Lava hit and melted the metal, Dhalia's stones broke on collision.

Team A was unable to follow her at all and had to surround the area with all of Team E which was free.

Fane practically used the pillars as armour. 'Too bad the lightning squad is too stuck in their plan. Not that that be a challenge…but, oh well…' Her last swing before she was out of that needlestack.

Steela took a step back as that white Division hunter tunic raved in the gust of Fane's movement like a hawk that Vampire with a steel pike at hand darted from above straight at the Sorceress. Steela had wasted so much magic for that stunt and her legs wobbled she'd never escape, so she raised her hands for a last desperate attack. "Metal O-"

Fane's hand engulfed the desertian Sorceress's face like a muzzle and drove her into the sand as she used Steela for a break in her landing. Yet Fane also used some magic to engulf the Sorceress's head in a huge claw to make sure she wouldn't split Steela's open like a coconut but still smack her unconscious.

The steel forest vibrated heavily and shattered to pieces as Sienna's resonance hit it. It was simply too big and Fane possibly could hide inside it once again so it was a safer bet to destroy it now.

"Good night," Fane already looked up from Steela. 'Ah… such a good idea. Impressive.' She thought to herself as the whole construction rang like a tuning fork. That noise was ringing and screeching in everyone's ears. Fane was used to unexpected things she countered and simply flooding her White Jade tattoos with magic to protect herself from the magic soundwaves countered the phenomenon.

However, the kids halted in their movements or got dizzy if too close.

So, Fane searched untroubled for her next target as she released the neon-green-haired girl from her grasp. 'Ha there!' Her eyes looked onto Serina.

Serina flinched as her purple eyes met with the black ones of the Vampire Lady. "Oh, fuck me! Shrouded eyes!" She hastily cast as she held eye contact.

Fane moved her head an inch to avoid a Poison Orb and snorted as that Sorceress vanished from her eyesight. She picked up one of those metal pieces. 'Aaaaah, should have taken Blade's spear…'

Seth swung his two-hander and a sand wave rose from behind him and even took some arena sand to reinforce it and hide behind.

Fane boosted her nose with magic first and already smelled Serina again. Not to mention that with her empath abilities, she could sense her frantic emotions. She glanced back at the sand wave that drew its shadow over her. 'Serina didn't even move… smart and yet…' Fane let the torrent swap over her and blocked the heavy sword with the priorly picked-up metal bar as Seth came down on her, The boy disengaged before activating that sand two-hander again. 'Heh,' Fane already saw Lion's chain sickle flying in the corner of her eyes, shining so bright it was blinding to everyone as it tainted her and anything around her in a radiant light piercing like the sun.

Seth covered his eyes, 'Shit, that's bright, damn!' He skidded back on the sand his eyes burned and stung.

Lion felt the jolt as his sickle locked around Fane tightly. It withstood even to a pull. "NOW!" Lion shouted and gave the order with no doubts in his mind. 'We got her!' He felt the chain shift. He struggled but held against it. No way he would let Fane escape now, that he had landed a hit and obscured all her senses and taken her by surprise! 'YES!' He flooded his chain with magic to keep it safe from damage and the light so bright to make one go blind. There was no holding back here or they would lose.

Mercury roared as he swung that fire axe wide and pulled his wind axe upwards creating a raging storm of fire that immersed the arena into a red flaming inferno. He had waited for such a chance. Blinding Fane alone was not enough after all!

Amber shouted with all her might, "Fire Tongues!" as she moved her arms around with some resistance as she guided the flames into a spiral, a tornado of flames, reminiscent of the Jinn's eye spell from Griselda.

"Pierce!" Blade fired. 'Nice one!' She felt the ecstasy like any other.

"Note Blast!"; "Energy Bolt!"; "Granit!";

"Consuming Fire!" Volcano shot her magma orbs into the fray. All those spells darted through the flame curtains in a raging onslaught. They had trained and planned for this test and finally one of their formations hit its target.

"Plasma Sphere!"; "Explosive Light!"; "Stone Volley!" Nebula, Rise and Dahlia joined the fray with a second barrage. They had carefully tested which spells could pass this inferno without cancelling it or simply evaporating in its flames.

The heat could be felt even on the ranks. Awe and wonder from all who watched the spectacle. Tense grips around the railings. Some victorious and applauding shouts from the gawkers. What a display of power! And now with no dummies around there were no casualties, instead a massive counterattack from the students' side.

Amber held out as long as she could. Sweat dripped down her forehead. Her pale yellow skirt flew in the heated winds that kept raging on. Her breath was shallow as her magic rapidly decreased. "FINISH HER!"

"Wind cutter!"; "Sound scythe!" Breeze and Sienna shot their spells shortly after each other but timed well not to collide. Like an X they hit into the inferno cutting through as the flames puffed out of existence as Amber could not keep them alive. The girl sank to the ground as her Winx vanished.

Silence in the arena all eyes on the spot that Vampire had been pinned down.

Nothing…but melting metal from that piece Fane had used to block Seth's two-hander. Alex froze in disbelief. Alyssa stumbled surprised. Rise stuttered flabbergasted.

No one was left standing there. Just scorched earth. Everyone was in disbelief. Could they truly have… did they…KILL her?!

"Lazy," Fane commented with a disapproving glared down at Serina. A tight grip around her neck. The mind-spell of the Sorceress might have let her vanish from her eyes but not all other of her sense.

Serina stared at the Vampire speechlessly. Not that she could say a word with such a tide grip as the air ran out, she was pinned against the arena wall. 'This is hopeless…why did we even think for one second we could possibly beat her with numbers!?' Serina closed her eyes unwilling even to try to escape the inevitable. This day had shown how utterly unprepared and shitty they were, there was no point to this. And surely, she wouldn't struggle to amuse that damned Vampire.

"Just LAZY…" Fane loosened her grip on the throat as the girl slumped together. 'At the very least she should have tried to warn her friends that they failed,' Fane only shook her head as she turned around. She had ignored the inferno behind her of course.

Tunnel vision. The students had been too sure of themselves.

A deep sigh escaped Fane's lips as she let her magic pulsate around her forming the projection of a Kangourmet and not the small kind. No, she went for the rampaging form of those little sweet Fairy animals. A furry back spine huge claws, strong hind legs and a tail longer than its main body. In the blink of an eye, she had the projection established and with one giant leap, she jumped right back to where the melting metal puddle was.

Shocked. They all had felt that surge of magic and watched the lilac blur of doom vanish at the arena walls, where Serina sank to the ground.

Lion couldn't believe it. "What? But-" The ground tremored and knocked him off his feet as Fane landed right on top of him. "What!?" Quickly he rolled out beneath the monster's legs to get back up.

"GULLIBLE!" Fane declared over Lion as she smashed the projective tail into his side and tossed him right back into the arena sand and his body overturned before it halted.

"Piercing Spear!" A roar from above. Blade's dreadlocks raved in her movement. "Run!" She shouted to Amber out of her reach.

Fane caught the Light magic spear with her giant claw and crushed it like a twig as she floated in her projection, which crawled up on Amber, who was too weak to even get up. "Complacent!" She snatched Amber off the ground and made another jump. "DIS-TRAC-TED!" She grabbed Julius from where he stood and raised him into the air. Now she had two students in her claws. One to reprimand, Julius had called orders even less than Mercury, his second in command, not to mention Julius as the backline leader had completely missed that she had escaped their trap. Tons of magic was wasted because of his oversight.

That frightening monster's head of translucent purple magic drilled fear into Julius. The tail flicked and the air pressure smacked Dean, Kai, Max, Damon, Alex and Mercury to the ground before they even were in range. Julius wasn't sure what to do here, his focus switching between Fane and Amber in her other claw. 'SHIT! What do I...!?' A shock of Dark magic through his body before his world turned black. His katana clanked to the ground as it bounced off the projection.

Fane jumped high. Shadow Binds and Willow's Grasp couldn't ensnare her fast enough. She let Amber and Julius slide from her grasp to the ground. 'Just exhausted… stupid Fairy using all her magic in a one-shot…seriously…' She was relieved that it wasn't something worse. Fane had made sure to check it and now in the outer backlines, it was safer to drop Amber and Julius off. Fane's head snapped around as she heard it.

"Don't let up!" Tessa cast hastened, "Lightning Chain!" Those three had taken forever to ready their three-man attack in the backline. Tessa timed with Keith who twirled his Paladin glaive as it loaded up with lightning as well.

The lightning hit the projection hard. Sparks flew everywhere zapping and crackling.

"Water ridge!" Gilliana descended from above and shot her Dark magic water sickle. Much to her dislike it splashed at contact of projection and didn't even cut through. Yet even with the combined lightning attack and the Light-Dark magic explosions, there was barely a scratch on the surface of that projected Kangourmet.

The three went pale. "By the Dragon…"

Fane after shielding Amber and Julius from that combo left them behind and with a great jump, she landed right in front of these three. Gilliana and Tessa retreated with a dash.

"KEITH!" Tessa shouted to him, shocked that he didn't retreat at all.

"Forget him!" Gilliana fired at Fane a barrage of water sickles in hopes of making a dent.

Nebula and Snow took each other's hand and raised them high, "FREEZING FOG!" They simply powered the spell with massive amounts of magic rather than syncing up correctly. They had no time for this.

Fane ignored the splashing water that somewhat froze under the icy fog. It splinted off her like scales not really stopping her at all. 'What a waste of a convergence…'

"NOTE BLAST!"; "Poison Orb!"; "Magnetic Scythe!"; "Consuming Fire!"; "Stone Cannon!"

They were cast in such haste they didn't make a dent. Yet smartly enough they were only well-aimed spells, since no one was keen on hitting their own, unlike Gilliana. 'At least some have brains…'

Fane trapped Keith beneath her claw to shield and restrain him at the same time, while she side glanced to see who fired upon her and who didn't. There was a lot of movement in those student ranks. 'Regrouping again…oh boy…so many tactics and none will work on me. Tragic, they truly lack the power if they can't even get a scratch on a half-baked projection…' Her eyes wandered back to Keith. Yet the boy frozen like a statue lay beneath her. "PASSIVE..." Fane simply shocked him with a bit of Dark magic to knock him out as well. Her eyes met the two girls as water and lightning joined once more to shatter her projection.

Tessa finally joined in with lightning spells again. She and Gilliana let them clash in hopes that the unstable magic as they couldn't layer or converge them properly would at least do something if repeated at the same spot. "It's not working!"

"HESITANT!" Fane snapped at the lightning Fairy who didn't put her heart into these attacks. 'Either do it or don't…waste of time and magic.' Fane closed the gap in a heartbeat and hammered Tessa into the sand with her claw as she swung the tail around and smacked Gilliana against the arena wall. "Impulsive!" She growled at the Sorceress who groaned as she dropped to the ground.

Tessa bared her teeth and tried to claw into that projection, "Oh yeah!?" Her eyes flashed up in blue lightning. "STATIC FIELD!" She let her magic soar. 'Come on, at least a stun, just a few seconds!'

Fane smirked, "A bit too late though." She simply countered her Fairy magic with her Dark magic in a blink of an eye. And there she saw it fast, so incredibly fast, in the corner of her eye, quickly she swiped her claw to the side as she pumped more magic into that projected claw. A sharp crack as a burst of ice exploded within the projection.

"NO WAY!?" Michael couldn't believe this his shot had been perfect! There was no spell or weapon faster than his ice crossbow in the entire arsenal of the Joined Track.

Blade stared at the impact zone. 'How is it so condensed!? It should have cut at least the claw off!' Only now it truly sank in how strong Fane was. She wasn't just skilled in combat. The way she used magic was so precise not one drop too much. Nothing wasted. She had not used anything else besides projection and magical body enhancement. 'Doesn't she need to or is that all she ca-' Blade was instantly ripped from her thoughts. Fane had vanished from the spot.

Fane straight out charged towards Michael as one white-lilac blur, but some specialists swiftly raced to block her way. Yet in that short amount of time, they were like a horde of loose soldiers with no plan for what exactly to do, purely reactionary. Their Paladin weapons not loading fast enough. "DISORGANZISED!" Fane jumped right in the middle and made a quick spin her tail whacked them into the side and they hit the sand hard. Proudly she stared at her work and dashed on.

"Fuck…" Seth pulled up yet his arms gave in. His side simply hurt too much and he still felt sick.

Dean was buried under Tyson, Max and Kai, who all were out cold as well, "Just give me a second…" He had underestimated that tail lash. Everything went dark.

'Well you missed your one shot, Michael, you're red-flagged now,' She grinned. That shot, or rather that weapon was one killer machine, yet the boy had failed and announced that he was the most dangerous of the bunch at the same time. No enemy would ignore him after that display. So, like a hound, she stormed at him.

Every student that had stood around Michael or at least close by deserted him in an instant. Some had been too curious to check out that masterpiece of a crossbow, But now he was standing out like egg yolk in the fleeing egg white. 'What a pity... His peers scramble by just a whiff of danger...' and not even in a good retreat no less. There was more than one who stumbled and flat-out kissed the floor in an attempt to flee. It was pointless anyways Fane already dispersed her lilac Kangorement at the bottom of the wall when she made a flip while enhancing her muscles and with precision landed on the railing and crouched down. Face to face.

Michael gulped his freckles the only thing not utterly pale in his face his heart pounding in his ears arms trembling the weight of the crossbow so heavy in his hands and unsure if he should even try to lift it up or not. The anticipation of his immanent defeat he froze.

Fane saw the spells racing towards her from the remaining Fairies and Sorceresses however at this distance they were wasted. The shaking redhead before her. "Booh!"

Michael flinched and cursed as his grip on the crossbow slipped. He reached down to catch it yet was pulled in by his shoulder plate.

"Maybe," a leisurely clap on his cheek, "next," Fane sensed the magic spells closing in behind her, "Time." She jumped up high in an upside-down pirouette and landed her legs on Michael's shoulders, his head between her legs a fat grin on her face as she locked her legs behind his neck and flung him and her both sideways.

A plasma sphere and darts as well as a poison orb smashed into the stances where they just had stood.

Fane opened her leg grip on the Specialist at the right moment and crashed Michael against one of the spectator entrance walls. "Indecisive!" She commented as she watched him struggle before he succumbed. She on the other hand ducked away under a light beam rolled in the cover of the railing towards the crossbow and snatched it as her violet magic oozed from her forming two sets of large dragonfly-like wings and covering her body in a thin layer for protection. With her chosen projection Fane darted upwards under fire manoeuvring with ease in mid-air.

The grown-ups had watched the fight since the start. more often than not one could see the Light magic users flinch or grimace, while most Dark magic users shook their heads and hid a giggle. Yet all had a keen eye out. There always was a chance that someone needed saving from themself.

Griffin turned her head slightly to Votzaak, "Truly amazing..." She sounded unimpressed yet also rather amused even if she played it down. Her new two-horned hairstyle gave it even some deviant strokes. "An overgrown child punishing children..."

"We said that the Joined Track is for toddlers. So, of course, I brought mine. My kid needs some socialisation. She rarely plays with her own age group." He snorted chuckling.

Alex and Mercury were the only guys left and as Fane soared up high to get to her nice little Fairy snacks they stood below.

"Crap…" Alex piercing purple eyes followed the Vampire. The battlefield showed a devastating outlook. They were down to around a third and this had been what? A few minutes?

"Dude, use your hook swords! You got sound weapons you should easily reach her!" Mercury panted heavily they had run from one corner to the other this was like sports class. So much stamina was wasted for nothing they were too slow. Not to mention he was nearly emptied out on magic his firestorm with Amber had cost him the charges in the weapons on top of most of his own.

"Yeah, great idea," Alex bickered his stubby purple ponytail loosed, "the girls ignore us the chance is higher for me to hit them than her…"

"THEN AIM," Mercury shook his head, they got nothing done. Either out of reach, too slow or too uncoordinated. They had trained for this test. They had worked on so many combos and formations still everything had fallen apart in like the first minute.

"Dude, these hook swords are new to me. My aim is shit in crowds..." Alex made his point clear as the clash in the sky took a turn.

"Thorns!" Alyssa shouted under duress trying to keep Fane away from her. Yet that damned Vampire lady flew some weird zig-zag shit, so quickly, it felt like she was teleporting. One second, she was to the right then below suddenly left. Alyssa had shot so many of her thorn attacks and not one had landed a hit.

"INFELXIBLE!" Fane suddenly was behind her.

Alyssa's head snapped around, "IRON BA-!"

Fane was faster and held her in a one-armed choke hold the girl was so surprised by the close combat move that she panicked, 'Now she switches? Way too late…' Fane had a tight grip on that crossbow in the other hand.

"Magma Sphere!" Volcano full-speed raced at Fane from behind. Her long ponytail was like a dragon's tail flicking in the wind, "DIE YOU STUPID BITCH!" She already built up the next sphere.

Fane deadpanned stared for a millisecond and simply covered Alyssa in some of her magic and hurled her into the orb. 'Idiot, you don't scream if you are in your enemy's blind spot.'

Alyssa hit the magma orb exactly where Fane had enwrapped her in her magic. Her eyes wide as the sphere smashed into her stomach and her eyes rolled back.

"Out of the way!" Volcano simply let her fall passed her as she dashed onwards. 'As if I would fall for that stupid trick like Birdy!'

'Seriously,' Fane ground her teeth. Now she was pissed.

"Alyssa!" Shocked Snow and Sienna dived down. "Are you crazy?!" Unsure if they could even make it in time.

Volcano ignored the upset outburst from the Fairies behind her. "Magma Hands!" She roared as her hands glowed up in brimming heat. She was not afraid of close combat with that spell in her arsenal. And Fane just hovered there in mid-air, while the other incompetent students wore frozen icicles.

Fane's eyebrows drew in her face so grim. The two girls would never make the safe.

A lilac blur across the sky. An abrupt turn of direction, where Volcano once raced she was no more. Instead a massive explosion of ice at the arena wall.

The ice in shimmering blue and white crept up even above the railings of the stances. "You, stupid bitch! Are you Crazy!" Volcano hissed still shaking in her boots she looked above herself. Most of the Ice had missed her. Only her Hands and upper arms were utterly covered in ice and felt as if they were deep-frozen.

Fane grabbed her by the cheeks so hard that Volcano truly got scared. "LET YOUR COMRADES DIE AGAIN AND I THROW YOU INTO PRISON FOR LIFE!" She wasn't amused or joking the Vampire was dead serious.

Volcano squirmed but as her head was pulled to face what had everyone breathless she could only watch, regret in her eyes.

Shouting and screaming. Pure panic. Alyssa in a deadly free fall. Snow's ice had clashed with Marble's stone magic and both shattered as Light and Dark smashed together, both saves failed. Alyssa vanished in a giant cloud of smoke. Sienna and Rise in a straight dive but the massive clash forced them to break hard and dash away to save their precious wings. Polarissa with all her might tried to get Alyssa in the big smoke cloud, but only ended up with debris the chaos was too great for her. Dusk's Shadow binds reached inside the black cloud yet was ripped apart to pieces by Breeze's gale, which sent the arena sand, ice and rock boulders ricocheting in all kinds of directions, she only wanted to clear the smoke. To the side, Dahlia raised an earth wall to shield Alex and Mercury from the ricochet as she dodged to the ground. Alex bleeding from his cheek. Nebula's clones puffed out of existence as they were riddled with pebbles.

"RECKLESS." Fane bared her teeth at Volcano. Her eyes filled with fury. "POWER is WORTHLESS without REGARD FOR LIFE!" Her other hand balled as she let Volcano's face go and smashed the ice to pieces in which the young Sorceress was trapped. Fane seized her by the dress and hurled her literally across the arena before she refocused on the remaining students while she picked up the crossbow next to her feet again.

Everything was a yellow blur and suddenly everything was wet. Volcano twirled around in a water bubble as if it were a washing machine. Once her momentum subsided Nerrocean stomped his war scythe on the ground and the bubble burst. A bit rough Volcano smacked into the sand, which stuck to her like clue.

"Alyssa!" Shocked Volcano whispered as she coughed her eyes trying to find her on the battlefield. Volcano's arms tingled from pain and her sight was still spinning. Yet quick enough her vision cleared up and the towering shadows around her became clearer. Thousand piercing eyes upon her.

"… Dear child…" Parcival sighed and took the lead before the girl would get an earful from a bunch of people. "Tests are tests, yet mirror reality. You just killed your classmate in a battle of survival for no good reason." He reached out with his hand and pulled Volcano to her feet. "Gladly this was a test and not life." He pointed behind him.

Virion held Alyssa afloat with magic as he scanned her body for injuries and gently set her down. His eyes darted to the magma Sorceress. "Hands." He demanded of Volcano.

"What?" Volcano mumbled as she stared at Alyssa.

"Alyssa's fine, Votzaak teleported her out," Virion kneeled down drew some runes and took Volcano's hands. "I thought we agreed on NOT hurting students." His eyes glared to Votzaak and Nerrocean. She had a bit of a magical frostbite there.

"No, I said no killing or breaking bones on Fane's part," Votzaak was already focused back on the battle.

Alex landed hard on the sand his two hook swords clattered with a thud. Fane easily swiped his feet away. Ducked away under a poison orb from Misery. She stood right in front of him Michael's crossbow at hand.

"Alex, DISSONACE!" Sienna bellowed up in the air behind Fane it was the perfect moment to use it now, she and him with a sound attack.

It was like time was holding. Alex's eyes yet again wandered to the grown-ups where he had spotted Alyssa…and Volcano.

"Acoustic Beam!" Sienna shot her spell.

"Unfocused." Fane simply hopped to the side and evaded.

"ERATH BURROW!"

"STONE WALL!"

Alex blinked again and all that time was gone. The stone shields from Dahlia and Marble just in the making were way too small. His arm reached to find his sound hook sword yet Sienna's sound wave spell hit his chest. Breathless before the stone walls like a grave engulfed him and his body slumped.

"NICE AIM!" Fane laughed her ass off. Her Anger had vanished the moment Volcano was out of the game. There never had been real danger, to begin with for Alyssa, still stuff like that sadly was not only the foolishness of a student but a typical sight on battlefields. One reason why many turned to Black Magic; left behind, revenge or as a sacrifice for the greater good. Just to become a victim of their own actions.

"SHUT UP!" Polarissa drew her hands back reaching with her magic for the debris.

'They're all still in shock…' Fane recognised the change in the air directly, their moves becoming even more uncoordinated and desperate of all things. Swept up by their emotions. 'Time to get this done, before someone truly hurts themselves…' Within a second, she was up in the air avoiding some sad excuse of an attack from Polarissa who was already emptied out again just like in the First Aid test.

Mercury pulled Polarissa back, "Stop! You don't have enough magic-" Only to be hit by a death glare from the small pale Sorceress.

"SHIT!" Sienna saw the hunter's eyes. Her Ponytail flicked in her shudder. Fane was coming for her.

"Retreat!" Blade ordered as she reached out with her ancient hilt. Hovering just below Sienna with Dusk next to her.

"Roaring Wind!" Breeze fired from the flank yet the gust barely moved Fane to the side. "Seriously!? What is that woman eating? Lead?!" She was breathing heavily herself.

Dusk looked to Blade, "You better do something! SHADOW GRASP!" She summoned a shadow hand, a ghostly thing that mirrored her own hand.

Indeed, Blade couldn't hold back any longer. It had been so hard to define when to use her magic and when not. Most spells had been such a waste and Fane was too quick to catch up. Blade had stood by too long! She had watched and watched. She couldn't follow Fane's moves only her general direction, that lilac blur. Fane besides her greater capabilities didn't go beyond certain speeds unless it was for protecting them. This was simply a thing of timing. "Piercing Spear!" The Fairy magic spear formed out.

Dusk's shadow hand got smashed through by Fane. She hadn't even managed to slow her down, "Crap! RUN!" The Queen turned heels.

Blade loaded the spear tip, "And Regroup!" Fane like an arrow dared still straight for Sienna. Blade between them. 'Not this time!' Blade swished the spear to the side and sent her magic sickle out, of course, Fane would avoided that, yet Blade read the blur that Fane was. 'LEFT!' She twirled the staff and quickly tensed her muscles, "PIERCE!"

Fane saw Blade's locked eyes on her, the eyes of a sure shot. 'Ohhhh….' She grinned and made a left spin around the sickle yet she did it so close to the sickle like a razor blade the magic sickle cut past her. The Fairy magic tickled on her skin and not a second later the spear shot past her a good meter. 'Obvious. Let's get this over with…' She gave herself another boost.

"Fog Image!" Nebula hurried already saw the trouble Blade was in and darted upwards away from Mercury and Polarissa.

Blade gulped, "MAGIC DART!" she tried to form her projectile, eyes on the blur. 'Faster!' Suddenly a sharp pain in the lower back.

"Thanks for the stepping stone," Fane snickered as she pressed off from Blade's back.

Blade felt Fane's magic cloak her it protected her spine and bones still she tumbled at high speed towards the arena sand.

"Mirror Space!" Nebula flared up so much magic. 'Not again!' The spell connected and Blade drew groves as her feet buried into the sand as she came to a save hold. "We can't lose more people! By the Dragon, we need a plan, a good one. NOW."

Snow and Misery just reached them as well, "You okay?!"

"We don't have time for niceties we need a plan!" Misery trembled furiously agreeing with Nebula. Nothing they did had any impact. And nothing they had trained had been actually successful. Fane was either too fast or they too uncoordinated. "I refuse to give up. Not like this. Come on, Blade. Think!"

"Hello," Fane smiled as she overtook the girls up in the air as they retreated to new heights. "Hold that," She pressed a startled Rise the crossbow into the hands and pushed her away from the rest.

"Bould-" Dahlia's breath got stuck as she felt the fist in her stomach. Her dark hair with pink tips fell to the front. And her purple wings faded with her transformation.

Fane grabbed her, "Cumbersome", from her arm first magic pooled up in masses and rapidly grew to form a four-armed minotaur. It was just a projection, yet, the Fairies knew it from History class, one of the monsters the Winx had once fought, the Whip.

"Resonance!" Sienna dashed down, 'We got to shatter that thing now!'

'Ha, bold one…' Fane grinned wide. "Frantic," as the little neon turquoise Fairy got into range two of Fane's Whip projected hands rapidly clapped together to smash the Fairy like a fly or so the rest had thought. Yet the hands halted and the air pressure alone took Sienna out and she got grabbed quickly as well.

"Oh, fuck this!" Marble had it and simply wanted to get the shit out of there.

"MARBLE!" Dusk looked shocked as she was utterly abandoned and she forgot to cast her spell, while the lilac blur rushed past her and sent her and Breeze into a tumble.

"Evasive!" Fane seized Marble's leg a squeak escaped the girl. No way in the shadowlands she would let her escape. She flung her right into Dusk, "Scatterbrained!" And snatched both of them from the air.

"TWISTER!" Breeze point blank created with all that was left of her magic. The tornado let her grey coat bash against her legs as she sent that massive thing off she even got drawn in a bit herself.

Rise panicked as she escaped with that damn crossbow to higher skies, "Are you CRAZY!?" She squeaked. That damn weapon slowed her down so much and her hands were blocked. 'I can't let it just smash into the ground… can I!? It'll break!'

"Shadow Orb!" Dusk raised her hands as she somehow squeezed it out from Fane's minotaur grapple. Marble was truly stuck not one inch left and Dahlia was out cold.

Fane with one glance made sure that she had the other three secured and centred herself in her projection and then straight darted into the tornado. "So easy," She cackled and spun her projection around herself, while staying still herself, counterwise to the tornado inside its eye.

Dusk and Marble felt so sick and hurled as they fainted in the minotaur's hands.

And with a dissipating shockwave, the twister collapsed. "Unbridled!" Fane smirked at the wind Sorceress.

Breeze looked behind herself, where the voice had come from, but there was nothing. Suddenly towering shadow from above. "DAMN IT! SHOOOT!" Her last words to Rise before a magic shock knocked her out.

Rise clawed into the heavy crossbow. She could barely hold it. "You shoot it then!" She snarled trying to lift it in her grasp. Yet she went utterly pale as Fane in all her might, four captured, stared at her. Propping up the Whip in all its might before her. It was brimming with Dark Magic.

"Hmmmm," Fane smirked and gave a short glance below it was a change of pace that the always uncoordinated ground assault had seized. Apparently, the others were busy in a white fog cloud. Her gaze went back to Rise. "Gonna try it or not?" She leered. "So sad. Abandoning, your crew? Ah, Solaria…nothing but pretty faces." She taunted her.

"Oh, yeah?!" Rise in her anger tried to raise the damn thing but she couldn't hold it steady or even high enough to hit Fane. "You'll… I'll! You'll…"

"Overwhelmed," Fane stated her assessment. And charged at her horns first with the Whip projection. The startled Fairy froze on the spot before she got hit and fell unconscious from the ram. Fane moved her projection to catch the crossbow while the Fairy dangled from her minotaur's horn like a wet towel. "Ahhh… and I hoped for some more creative chaos or surprises… this is all so predictable…." She in her Projection made a free fall towards the ground, 'Ready or not…' There were only six students left to deal with.

Blade felt the ground shake as the minotaur dead-dropped into the arena sand. She even heard the gravity dampeners work to hold the school straight. "Shit out of time."

"This better work…" Misery glared at her. What a stupid plan they had come up with. She dashed out of the cloud. "TOXIC VAPOR! Dark Smoke!" She roared as she went straight in for an attack with the last of her magic she made her smoke screen as big as possible.

Fane engulfed her five victims with her magic quickly and hurled them to the side so they wouldn't be able to counter the poison directly. 'hm, smarter, the poison can be cured and isn't an instant death. Should have used that rather than all those pointless poison orbs.' She thought to herself inside the dark fog.

"Charmix!" Nebula shouted to go for her last resort, "Mirror space! Semblance Phantasms!"

Yet of course that poisoned fog wouldn't even get near Fane as her projection kept it away from her. She used the four arms to clap together and the pressure broke the smokescreen.

"Mirror space!"

"Catapult!" Polarissa waited for the exact moment the pressure wave faded and fired Snow's ice orbs at Fane.

'Hmm?' Fane squinted her eyes as she evaded the barrage. 'Hollow orbs with poison? Finally, something more useful. But how is she…?' She ignored the others so far.

Snow was building up magic all she could muster after all her wasted spells. Her white hair waved in the focusing storm.

"Mirror space!" Nebula swapped once again from one spot to another close to the next fallen Specialists. Mercury and Blade were also running around in the outskirts to fallen teammates.

"Magnetic force!" Polarissa pulled her hand back her hand shaking so hard from exhaustion as she fell to her knees and then to her hands but they gave way.

"Profligate!", Fane commented as she felt how those poison orbs behind her came back like boomerangs, "Gotta do better than that!" She used one arm to shatter them all. To her surprise, she felt that something sharp tried to pierce her projection as the ice shattered. Yet the simple Phanto-daggers hidden inside the poison of the hollow ice orbs simply had their energy blades crumble as they weren't strong enough to get through. 'Pff….' Fane chuckled inwardly at least it was a bit more creative.

"Mirror space!" Nebula, Mercury and Blade were still running around.

Misery rushed in from the flank, "DIE!" She screamed.

'Buying time, ey?' Fane didn't need to check those kids they were all out cold and wouldn't get up any time soon. Well besides Serina, who pretended for a long time to be unconscious. But Fane also sensed with her empath abilities that she wasn't interested in joining the fight again, she had given up. "DESPERATE!" Fane answered the combat challenge from Misery.

"Dark Smoke!" Misery made another huge cloud to obscure herself and Fane's view.

"You already tried that," Fane noted amused. She felt Misery's magic presence and darted at her through the fog and seized her, no problem. "Time's up!" She smacked her to the ground and shocked her shortly. Her black eyes focused in on Snow.

"Mirror space! Hurry!" Nebula looked around Mercury and Blade were still away from each other, "Fuck…Semblance Phantasms! BLADE!" She built a straight line of fog clones drawing a line towards Mercury but Blade was not close enough to be swapped and neither was Mercury.

Blade picked up Julius's water Katana, 'Shit…' They hadn't managed to get them all. "SHADION!" her neon green wings spread and she raced towards the first clone. She was too focused to notice the gawkers who were drawn completely in by her, despite Fane's flashy moves that so far had everyone in awe and fear.

Mercury collected Keith's lightning bow, "We can do this…we have to." He ground his teeth and rushed towards the fog image closest to him.

Fane charged at Snow who was still amassing ice magic and was a sitting duck as she for that spell apparently couldn't move. 'hm, not the best choice…' Fane had a pretty good idea what she would try as an ice-magic user.

'THIS IS A BAD IDEA!' Snow screamed in her head in protest of this mania plan as she unleashed her magic in a giant explosion. In a wide cone the ice grew uncontrolled, "SUMMNUS NULLUS CONDICIO!" And she instantly made a hasty retreat. The last time she had used that spell…

"Are they serious!?" Palladium cursed as a flame sword instinctively appeared next to him. "We forbade-" Like back when they had trained in class to subdue magic, ice spikes grew all over the frozen ground, sharp, deadly and powerful.

"…Pandemonium class…" Avalon sighed equally upset yet held Palladium back. Fane would be faster than Palladium anyways. Still, he had to admit that Snow's control was better than last time.

"She can use that spel- Oh." Riven could only stare like anyone else of the grown-ups in slight disbelief that she actually made it work, yet also aghast by her nearly becoming kebab on an ice skewer.

"BLADE, YOU OWE ME!" Snow dropped her transformation as she was unable to escape her own spell as her foot got trapped in the ice as a consequence she smashed to the ground and used the rest of her ice magic to bend the ice around her as much as possible.

Fane's charge was hindered. 'Uhhh!' The ice spikes scratched at her projection causing some damage. Yet Fane also saw the potential danger if Snow would lose focus. Fane made an air roll and hammered all four minotaur arms into the ice underneath her, the force crushed the ice to pieces. The ripples even so strong that the whole ice field became sparkling dust.

Snow exhaled utterly relieved. 'I gonna get an ear full-' Her thoughts paused as the projection in a blink of an eye was above her. She gulped.

"Timid," Fane commented. 'She could have made that work if she'd believe more in herself…' And her Whip's finger touched the girl's forehead and a magic shock hit her. "And then it was only three…" She watched as the kids had managed to regroup. 'Better be worth all those sacrifices….' She stretched her neck to the left and right.
