Chapter Two: Utah

Bella Cullen
We'd passed the leaving Forks sign only seconds ago and now the real work was truly about to start. I once again adjusted the blanket around me legs tucking it under my legs to ensure the heat wouldn't escape.

"We're okay." I assured them both.

I returned both hands to the steering wheel and behind me I listened as Angela rebuckled her seatbelt.

"You've got it right?" I asked her

Angela told me her dad had kept an old baby car mirror in the basement and that it could be some use to us on route to Utah.

"I've got it." Angela said and began to mount the baby car to the back of Leah's headrest so that she could keep an eye on our rear view.

Leah had done the same and stolen a rear view mirror from one of the old trucks down at La Push, she was working hard beside me at duck taping it to the passenger side mirror so that she could see the road behind us. I watched on as Angela helped her; this was exactly what we needed to keep ourselves safe. It was going to be a long ride; I was ready for that.

"It's going to heat up soon right?" Angela asked through chittering teeth.

"It will I promise." I responded.

"Okay, I've got the directions." Leah said beside me after retrieving a stack of papers from a bag she had stored at her feet.

She took one set of papers and handed them to Angela.

Before we met Edward at the meadow tonight we had ensured we had everything covered to ensure we had a safe journey to Utah. Our plans included printing two sets of directions for the front and backseat as we were going to drive in shifts, each of us having a mirror not just the driver to ensure we were doing everything possible to stop us from possibly being followed out of Forks, we had the largest gas cansisters we could find stored in the trunk and that would stop us from having to stop at any gas stations and therefore reduce the chances of someone spotting us and phoning the wolves back home. We had each packed a bag, not too much so that the car wouldn't be too heavy but enough to get us through the next few days.

"Okay so, remind me of my route." I said to Leah who was opening the first page of the directions on her lap.

"We are going to take the 101 to Olympia then onto the 10 and we'll stop for a break at the Montana border for the night." Leah read aloud.

I nodded my head listening to Leah speak.

"I'm going to take the lead for a while okay?" Leah asked.

I felt Leah's hand cover mine that was gripping the steering wheel tightly.

I looked up at her briefly before nodding my head in agreement.

"Yeah of course, we're in this together okay?" I answered.

Leah squeezed my hand softly before releasing it and removing her hand.

"Don't worry Bella I am going to keep us all safe." Leah said to me.

"And I'm going to keep an eye out the back." Angela called out from the backseat.

I smiled looking into my rear view mirror seeing Angela there with her back straight, ready to watch our backs, literally.

We drove for several hours, each of us taking turns at leading the journey as we headed out of Washington. Leah, Angela and I swapped driving every hour; we made sure to keep close to the speed limit as we wanted to do everything to ensure that we were keeping ourselves safe and that no one would pick up on us. So far, our luck had been good. I had been driving for the past hour, with Angela keeping a close eye on the backseat of the car making sure we weren't followed. Leah slept for the most part; Angela and I were taking it in turns to wake her up when it was time to swap. I kept the heating on at the highest temperature; I wanted everyone to be warm and comfortable.

"We're coming up to the Montana border now." Leah announced beside me.

I glanced over at Leah as she finished unfolding the directions for our first break.

I glanced up at the clock in the car and saw that it was only three in the morning.

"So um, if you guys feel up to it, we should discuss the...schedule." I said though it pained my heart.

"That's what we're calling it the schedule?" Leah asked

What else could we call it? This schedule had to be discussed and put into place to ensure Edward spent equal time with each of us so we didn't risk the spell weakening. The schedule was for all of us, it would ensure we knew which house Edward would be each night.

"Yes the schedule." I answered.

"Um, I guess we could talk about it now." Angela said behind us.

"We're going to have to eventually." Leah sighed.

I cleared my throat "Okay so, I had a thought that we keep the first week really simple. I think he should spend the night with us in the order that he married us."

"But you're..." Leah stopped herself almost cringing at the words "First wife."

"Yes Leah I'm Edward's first wife, but I want us to be equals. I don't want there to be favorites because trust me I don't feel like I'm the favorite right now. I love

Edward, I don't want to be his favorite or be treated differently to either of you because I know that will cause issues between all of us in the future." I explained.

I took my eyes off the road for a brief moment looking over at Leah.

"I want us all to be friends, we can do this together, I don't want to be enemies." I said to Leah.

"Okay, so he spends the first night with you, then what with me?" Leah asked.

"Then Angela, and so on." I answered.

Leah nodded her head.

"Sounds fair to me." Angela said from the backseat.

"But wait, that would still leave Sunday open each week." Leah pointed out.

"I considered that, I thought..." I paused to clear my throat "Um, I thought that every week we would alternate and each week one us would have two nights in a row with him."

"Like how?" Leah asked me.

"So, this week Angela gets two nights then it goes onto you then me." I answered.

I was doing my best to remain calm; I knew that each of us was trying to find some kind of peace with the situation we were all in. I had thought long and hard about this schedule; I had tried to make it as fair as possible for all of us.

"Okay, but then the following week one of us is missing out."

"No cause we'll just keep up with the pattern and we'll alternate each month. So like, let's say I had the first double with him at the start of the month, then I would just wait two weeks until my next double and not three or four." I explained.

Leah was quiet for a moment.

"I like it. I mean it's fair and it works, so we just keep rotating the double each month."

I glanced over at Leah briefly to see she was smiling at me.

I returned the smile before focusing on the road ahead.

"Angela?" I asked.

"Yeah it sounds fair to me, it makes sense." Angela answered.

"Good, we're all in agreement then. I think we should all write it down"

"Well, I think the schedule should be part of our...for lack of a better word wife's meetings."

We'd discussed meeting each other daily especially on the first week so that we could get everything in motion, like buying everything we'd need for each of the houses, making lists for Edward to take care of for each house, food shopping as we planned to buy in bulk to reduce the amount of time we were seen in town together.

"You really think that's something we should do?" I asked Angela

"I do, we don't want anyone getting suspicious Bella, and well, wives meet each other for coffee all the time." Angela answered.

She was right; we needed to be smart about this. We also wanted to keep up with the laws that we'd agreed upon for Edward and us; we needed to keep things on the down low as much as we could.

"That's true, but I don't think we should be seen together too often."

"Which means one of the first things Edward will have to arrange is putting fencing around the back of all three properties and tall gates between each house to make sure no one can look in on us and especially him when he's going between each of our houses." Angela said.

"He has money I guess." Leah said.

"No. He should do it himself."

I glanced at them then "He'll need a distraction, the first week is going to be intense and plus it's not only the fences we'll need, we'll need sod for each front and backyard, we'll be building our furniature up, painting, wallpapering and decorating the houses to our own tastes, we'll need groceries, clothes, furniture, you name it, we'll need it. That's a lot of time Edward is going to be spending in town." I explained.

"He's going need a distraction from what we've just done. Just like us." Angela said then.

I sighed and nodded in agreement "Plus we give him the over all say, like we said, the schedule is ours to control but every major decision we pass along to him."

"That way he feels like he has some kind of power." Leah said.

"Exactly, we discuss all these decisions, we come up with a list and we pass it all on to Edward." I said.

I listened as both Leah and Angela wrote down the schedule I had suggested; they both agreed it was fair to all of us. They seemed happy with it. It was then that I turned the heating down slightly, feeling like it was too hot in the car now.

I rolled down the window open slightly, just enough to breathe in the cold night air and it smelt delicious.

"Oh my god," Leah said beside me.

She too rolled down the window beside her inhaling deeply.

"This smells so good." Leah said.

"I know." I said agreeing with her.

"It's so fresh." Angela said.

The night air felt so good against my face. The wind blew my hair back gently as I drove. I could smell the rain, the wet grass and the dirt; it smelt so clean.

"How are you holding up back there?" Leah asked Angela.

"You guys won't cringe to my response?" Angela asked.

"Try us." I answered.

"At first, I was terrified, don't hate me but I almost didn't show up." Angela admitted.

"Same." Leah said then.

"Me too." I added.

"I was so nervous, I felt sick, I was shaking uncontrollably, but then I realised, I had to do this for me. I'm doing this for me, and for my mom, she would be so proud of me for standing up for myself and for not letting any man take advantage of me. So I decided to be brave and I showed up." Angela explained.

"I'm glad you did, I really am."

"Bella you know I really need to ask this again, do you really think we can be polygamists? You and Edward were each other's end game afterall." Angela asked

"Yeah she's not the only one thinking that." Leah added as she rolled up her window.

I rolled up mine before answering the question I knew was coming.

"I had to do this Angela; I couldn't stand by and watch Edward slip away from me. I love Edward so much and yes Leah I know you both know that and I'm not sorry that I love him more than anything, but I can do this. I am willing to put my heart on the line and I am willing to be open to this lifestyle because it's the only way I can ensure we all live."

Angela leaned forward in her seat "I'm going to say it, besides the danger of running away and um, Volturi guys, I honestly don't care what anyone thinks of the way we live when we get there," she covered her mouth "I'm sorry if that's so cringeworthy but I feel so..."

"Free?" I asked

She nodded.

"I know it's crazy, I feel like it's my last day of school and I've just told everyone what I thought of them and left town knowing I'll never see them all again." I shared.

"Exactly!" Angela said.

"I feel it too." Leah said.

"I know this lifestyle is unconventional but it's what we all want and Edward and us are going to make it work. I just know it." I said.

I could feel Leah's eyes on me, I glanced over at her to see she was smiling.

"We're going to make it work." Leah said.

"And we'll be happy." I added.

"I'm ready to do this."

We arrived in the state of Utah on a stunningly bright Monday morning and had even gone so far as to hold hands as we crossed the state line. We'd been stuck in the car for almost eighteen hours and there was no way we were showing up at our new houses looking like we did right now. My hair was sticking up and frizzy and my body was aching to stretch my legs. Leah had her hair tied up in a messy pony tail and Angela was desperate for a shower. We each agreed to pull into the first fancy hotel we came across and sneak in to there spa facility changing area where we could shower, brush our teeth and finally change our clothes. I pulled up outside a cafe in the city and got directions to a hotel which thankfully had a huge car park where we could go through our luggage in search of our clothes without too many eyes on us. I parked the car behind some industerial trash cans out of sight before we all got out.

"I can't believe we're nearly there." Angela said

"Yeah just another hour and half to go." I replied.

I unlocked the trunk and we each took out our own cases in search of something to wear on our first day in Utah.

I found myself rather curious as to what they had chosen to bring them with in the way of clothes. I personally had debated about a few of my clothes, I wanted Edward to know I wasn't the same girl he broke up with and that my styles were slowly changing. I looked over to Angela first and watched as she retrieved from her luggage case a pair of high waisted black jeans, a white shirt and a jacket. Leah opened her case and reached inside pulling out a pair of skinny jeans and a sweater. I noticed then that both Leah and Angela had packed light but the clothes they had packed were freshly pressed. Angela collected a toiletries bag from her luggage while I opted for some the basics from my case but when I looked over towards Leah I was shocked to find she was also collecting a toiletries bag. They'd packed more than just their toothbrush and toothpaste?

We made our way towards the hotel with our clothes stuffed inside our shoulder bags, luckily the reception staff inside didn't pay us any attention as we made our way across the large lobby towards the signs posted for 'SPA' and 'SHOWERS'. I pushed open the door and was pleased to find that the room was empty. There was a large cubicle style shower and opposite that was a row of sinks with mirrors and chairs. Angela walked over to the shower turning on the taps before Leah and I followed suit and began to rummage through our things. I disappeared into my own shower cubicle first and gently closed the door behind me wanting some time to myself to shower and reset.

"Let's try and be out of here in twenty minutes." I called out to them.

"Okay." Angela replied.

I stood under the spray of water for several minutes trying to wake myself up; I hadn't realised just how tired I was from driving for so long. I washed my hair and used the expensive body wash and shampoo provided in the shower before finishing up. I wrapped myself in a towel and stepped out to find Leah and Angela already dressed and brushing their hair. I made my way over to the sink furthest from them and placed my things down beside it before using the hotel's hairdryer. While I blew dry my hair I looked down at the two of them and watched them unloading all of their cosmetics and makeup onto the counter in front of them.
I finished blow drying my hair and brushed my teeth before changing into my fresh clothes. I waited for Angela to finish applying her makeup before taking my turn in front of the mirror. I brushed my teeth and used my fingers to comb out my now dry hair.

We each tossed the clothes we'd worn on the road into the trash can in the corner of the room not wanting to see them ever again now that we were here. When we arrived outside we made our way back towards the car.

"Okay let's get everything out of the front of the car, let's shake out the mats, bin the rubbish and let's leave the doors open as we clean out so the car is probably aired." I said.

"And put the blankets and pillows into the trunk we won't be needing them now. It's warm here. It's-" Leah paused.

"It's home now." Angela finished.

I nodded in agreement and opened the drivers side door throwing out all of the rubbish I'd collected over the past eighteen hours. We cleaned out the car and shook out the mats before loading up the trunk with all of our belongings. I then went around to each door opening them and leaving them open to air out the car while the three of us shook out the blankets and pillows folding them back up and putting them away safely.

"Does anyone want to talk about what happens now?" I asked as we worked together.

"You mean today? The first day?"

"Or anything you wanna talk about." I clarified.

"I guess we just...get settled and Edward meets us each at our houses tonight."

"Yeah but what else? Like what are we going to do when we arrive?" I asked.

"Get groceries, sort out utilities and well, get to know each other better." Leah answered.

Angela sighed "I have to admit I'm really nervous about tonight."

I paused mid fold "What about?"

"You and Edward being forced to sleep under the same roof so quickly. Can you just promise us that you're okay?" Angela asked me.

I folded the blanket placing it into the trunk beside the others.

"I'm fine with it, I promise I am." I answered.

"Can I ask why?" Leah asked then.

I looked at them both for a moment contemplating my answer. I had to be honest with them, I needed them to understand.

"Edward broke my heart; I'm not going to deny it. But I still love him and I want to be with him, and okay I don't have all the answers but I'm sure I can do this."

"You're sure you can be a polygamist? Watch him go from your house, to my house and to Angela's house?" Leah asked

"I'm here aren't I?" I asked.

Leah and Angela exchanged glances for a moment before returning their gazes to me.

"That's true." Angela answered.

"Look I don't know how I'm going to react but I guess we'll find out tonight." I said.

"Just promise us, no let's all promise each other that no matter if the problem is big or small that we don't keep it from each other. We don't have to be open about everything but at the very least, if one of us is struggling, we have to as women make this promise that, we're here for each other that we are...sister wives." Angela said.

I smiled at Angela "I like that."

Leah smiled "So do I."

"Sister wives. We all have to promise that we're here for each other no matter what." Angela said.

"I promise." Leah said then.

"I promise too." I answered.

"Good, now let's get in the car and start our journey to our new homes." Angela said.

I turned to face them "So I'll tell Edward about the schedule and how this week it's me first, then you and then you."

"And remind him that will change each week." Leah replied.

"Got it." I said.

We all climbed into the car then, Angela returned to the backseat while I took the driver's seat and Leah remained by my side.

"Just let the engine run for a second." Leah said and closed her eyes.

"Yeah let's just take a minute." Angela said.

I did as they'd said and ran the engine allowing it to warm up and air out the car, I leaned back in my chair and looked up at the roof of the car.

"Ready?" I asked after a few moments.

"No." Leah answered.

I turned to look at her "Me neither."

"Let's do it anyway." Angela said.

I turned to face her and smiled "You're right."

I released the handbrake and eased the car out of the parking space and out of the car park heading towards our new lives.
The drive to the houses was beautiful. We passed miles and miles of fields, cows and horses until we reached the outskirts of the city. The three of us were quiet as I drove; we didn't speak at all, we were too busy taking it all in. After an hour or so of driving we turned onto our street. Angela and Leah both sat up in their seats leaning forward as we drove slowly down the street towards our houses.

"The street, it's just how I pictured it." I said.

The neighbourhood was new, there were only lawns on two of the many beautiful houses we past, the others were still up for sale and probably five hundered to seven hundred thosand each.

"It's empty, no one is going to see us each move in on the same day." Leah noted.

"Which works out perfectly for us." Angela added.

"Wait," I gasped "There they are, there are the houses!" I almost squeled.

I slowed down and stopped the car in the middle of the road allowing Leah and Angela to see their houses for the very first time.

"They're perfect." Angela whispered.

My house was first as we approached on the left, with Angela's right in the middle and Leah's at the end.

"There's a car in your driveway" Angela noticed then.

I brought my attention to my new driveway where sure enough there was a black BMW parked.

"He's already here." Leah said.

I felt butterflies in my stomach then, Edward was already here and we were on our way.

"I can't wait to see inside." Angela said.

I pulled the car closer to the pavement and watched the driver's side door to the SUV open, the car was perfect, polished, probably fresh off the lot, the wheels were shiny and new and the windows were tinted black. A tall figure stepped out from the car closing the door behind him.

I felt my heart skip a beat.

"Is that Edward?" Angela asked.

"It has to be." Leah answered.

"He looks taller." I whispered.

Edward looked better than the last time we'd seen him, he wasn't wearing the ripped shirt and heavy coat. He had gotten a haircut, he'd shaved, his hair was styled neatly and he looked toned, muscular and strong. As Edward moved from the car he made eye contact with me through the windscreen of the car and smiled. He was wearing dark blue jeans with a black leather belt and black shirt with the sleeves rolled up around his elbows revealling a watch on his right wrist. He looked, hot.
Edward slid off the sunglasses he was wearing then and crocked a brow at me.

"Oh my god, he's not sparkling. The spell, it doesn't just stop him from reading your guys mind and mine but, it must stop him from sparkling too."

"What do you mean sparkling?" Angela asked.

"His skin sparkles in the sunlight." I explained.

Leah and Angela both turned to face me.

"Like diamonds?" Leah asked.

"Yeah."

"How do you know this?" Angela asked.

I couldn't help but smile.

"He's gonna be able to be a regular guy out here." I said.

Edward raised his hand indicating for me to pull into the driveway which I did, I pulled the station wagon up by his SUV as Edward walked around the front of the cars and towards the front of my house out of sight.

"Should we get out now?" Angela asked

"What do you think?" Leah asked as she unbuckled her seatbelt.

"Let's do it." I answered.

I unbuckled my seatbelt and climbed out of the car followed by Leah and Angela. I shut the door behind me and stepped out into the bright sunlight. I looked up into the sky and breathed in the warm air; we were in Utah and it was a perfect day. I turned to face my new house and smiled. It was even more beautiful than I'd imagined. There was a large wooden porch and the garden was ready to be worked on.

We made our way around the front of the cars to join Edward who stood in the centre of what was now my, I mean his and my future front lawn. He was staring across at each of the houses as we approached with me just a few steps ahead of Leah and Angela. He turned to face us catching me off guard when he immediately leaned in and kissed me on the cheek before his gaze and attention shifted to Leah who almost stepped back as he also leaned in and placed a quick kiss upon her cheek, then finally he did the same with Angela who blushed as he did so.

"I didn't think you'd be here, I mean, I knew you'd be here but I thought we'd arrive here first." I stuttered feeling flustered.

"Did I surprise you?" Edward asked me rather cockily.

I raised my brows at him and smirked.

"I missed you." Edward said then.

I tried my hardest to hide my shock and instead smiled politely.

Edward returned to the same spot as before and the three of us remained together across from him as we looked around at our houses and across at the street.

"Has anyone come by?" Leah asked Edward

"No." Edward replied sternly, not fazed by Leah's gaze shifting to him in result of his lack of manners.

Angela smiled shyly while Leah continued to stare at Edward waiting for him to crack and show some kind of emotion towards us.

"Was there any trouble buying the houses?" I asked him.

"I told you everything was in hand," He said before looking my way "No problems." Edward replied.

I nodded unsure of how to respond.

"So uh, when do we sign for them?" Angela asked then.

"You don't sign anything, the houses are going to remain in my name only." Edward revealed.

Leah, Angela and I exchanged glances.

"Then how-" I started to say but Edward cut me off.

"Some decisions had to be made that none of you considered. I've put a plan in place, a story of sorts." Edward replied

"I'm lost." Angela admitted.

"It's simple, I have documents that state, Bella is my legal wife and has been since she turned eighteen."

"We didn't agree to that." I snapped

"I also have documents that state I inheritted my late grandfather's business which was sold and therefore gives me the luxury and billions of dollars I have at my disposal now," Edward then continued "I own all three houses, the story is I live with Bella in our house, I rent out two of my neighbouring properties to both of you."

"That's...genius" Angela whispered.

"It had to be done." Edward responded.

Why were neither of them acknowledging that we were supposed to be living a new polygamist life together and yet Edward had paperwork to say I was his legal wife?

"Where do the sister wives come into play?" Leah asked.

Edward glanced over at her.

"There are no sister wives, there's never been and never will be." Edward answered.

I turned to look at Leah and Angela feeling the colour drain from my face.

"But-" Angela started to say but Edward interupted her.

"I don't care if you want to call yourselves that amongst each other, but that word is never to be spoken in public."

"Let's just relax." I said softly.

Edward looked my way then.

"What else did you decide without us?"

"There are a few things to be discussed but nothing pressing."

Angela then cleared her throat before giving me a nudge.

"Right, um, we talked together in the car. About the schedule."

Edward hated the word as much as we did it was written all over his face at the mere mention of it.

"The schedule?" Edward asked.

"Yeah so uh, this week, we decided that tonight," I paused before continuing "You'd be with me in our house."

Edward's eyes met mine then.

"Then tomorrow night you'll spend the night with Leah at her, I mean at your guy's house and then Angela the next." I attempted to explain with great difficulty on my part.

"And we'll alternate." Angela explained further.

Edward stared at Angela for a moment before returning his gaze to me.

"We have to stay under the same roof, it's the only way this is going to work." Leah added.

"I'm aware of that." Edward answered.

"Well okay then." I said.

Edward then crossed the lawn to approach us as he reached into his pocket. He took out a set of three seperate keys, each of them contained their own colour tab on each key, he handed me the maroon one, Leah the blue one and Angela the green one.

"It goes without saying I have my own set of keys to each property." Edward muffered.

"So we're neighbours now." Angela said then.

"In a sense." Edward replied.

Leah stepped forward then "I'm going to go inside, check it out and make a list of what I need."

I nodded watching Leah walk away and up the pathway to her house.

"She's still pissed." Angela whispered.

"We'll talk tonight."

"No we'll talk in twenty minutes." Edward told Angela "Be sure to tell Leah."

Angela nodded before walking away leaving me alone with Edward. I turned to face my house, our house, and smiled. Edward then joined me at my side standing beside me.

"It's bigger than I expected." I admitted.

"Come with me, I'll show you around." Edward said.

I turned to face him and nodded.

I followed Edward up the pathway to the house, he reached into his other pocket and took out a second set of keys before unlocking the front door and allowing me to enter first. I stepped inside and looked around. Edward closed the door behind me before joining me in the hallway. It was beautiful, there was hardwood flooring throughout, the walls were painted cream and the staircase was wide with dark wood stairs that led upstairs to the second floor.

"Wow." I whispered.

I made my way to the right and towards the sitting room which led into the dining room and finally into the kitchen where I finally stopped and kicked off my shoes walking on my barefeet over the tile.

"Edward this is incredible." I said turning to face him.

He stood in the doorway of the sitting room watching me.

"There's so much to do, it's like a blank canvas." I commented.

"Look around and I'll be back." Edward said before walking over to the sliding door that opened up onto the backyard.

"Wait, where are you going?" I asked

Edward stopped before taking a step outside not turning to look at me as he said "You wanted me to make the effort, remember?"

Did that mean what I thought it did? He walked out then crossing the empty backyards and towards Leah's house which had the same sliding door as mine, I mean ours. I watched him reach into his pocket and retrieve his keys again before unlocking Leah's back door and stepping inside. I could have sworn however I saw him lock the door behind him before he disappeared from sight. I remained by the kitchen window for what felt like the longest time before Edward reappeared at the back door of Leah's house and unlocked it. I was about to walk outside to meet him when he caught me off guard by letting himself into Angela's house then through yet another sliding door.

Why didn't he tell me he planned to go over there? Was he really making an effort with Leah and Angela as I'd asked or was he just checking out the houses to make sure they were secure.

I made my way back through the sitting room and towards the front door where I slipped on my shoes and waited for Edward to return.

After several minutes Edward did return, he came inside locking the backdoor behind him before joining me in the sitting room.

"Are you satisfied?" I asked him.

"Excuse me?" Edward asked.

"With the houses, are you happy they're secure?"

Edward crocked a brow at me.

"I was just being polite." I said

He crossed his arms in response.

"So why did you want to speak to us all together?" I asked him

"I've got your new identifications in the car, plus there is the financial side to go over."

"Yeah I think we each know how to pay bills."

"No I mean the financial support to each of you every month, money to cover bills, household expenses and then you'll have personal accounts which I planned to fund each month also."

"Even if we get jobs?" I asked him

"Even then, and I won't be moved on the subject either."

"How...much exactly were you thinking?"

Edward uncrossed his arms then placing his hands in his pockets as he said "Five thousand a month to each of you, in your personal accounts."

I felt my jaw drop.

"I'm sorry, what?" I asked.

Edward didn't answer me.

"Are you serious?" I asked him.

Edward nodded.

"I don't need that much, I can't accept that much."

"It's already arranged." Edward said before taking a step closer to me. "And that's just your personal accounts, there will be more."

"But what if we don't want it?"

"Then put it into savings. Either way it's done now."

"Edward," I sighed "You can't just throw money at us, it's not normal."

"I'm aware of that."

"I just, I don't know how I feel about it."

Edward then reached out taking my hand in his before he leaned in to whisper in my ear "Now you know how I felt when you ruined us." he hissed before placing a kiss on my cheek.

He turned and walked out.
