In the caverns, Rider worked commonly as a guard for the servant class miners of the Decepticon crew. He sometimes wasn't proud of his job given he was often asked to help when the drills they used broke down or there were Energon crystals too high for the smaller mechs to reach. It was often restless, every minute there was something, and he was getting tired. In a way, he was one of them and wondered how they tolerated such belittlement and a dead-end job. But he realized quickly that they technically had no choice in the matter. No one knew what they felt and so he wasn't able to whine when they arguably had the worst job of all with no praise or breaks whatsoever. Unlike him, they had no ability to voice their opinions without immediate termination. Suddenly, his job wasn't just for himself but to help those around him, and he did so even when it hurt despite not liking it still. The sacrifices were necessary.

Over the course of several operations within the year, he found himself protective of the miners from not just his own higher-ranking peers but the officers as well. He didn't want to take their voices, but he knew he stood between them and the possible torment some like Starscream and Soundwave could and would give out to those below them. Rider made sure to do it in a subtle manner though so he wouldn't be punished either. The only officer he remotely trusted and took some notes on was Breakdown.

Breakdown was a kind mech for a bruiser; Rider expected some sort of arrogant juggernaut. While he was brash on the field against the Autobots, the imposing grounder was a sweetheart to the troops, especially the miners. Rider would have lied if he thought that wasn't noble and, dare he admit, precious. It wasn't a crush or anything...it was just mutual understanding. Of course, he didn't expect to meet Breakdown up close.

Several times, he encountered the bruiser, and each ended with him flustered. His superior cared far more than he let on and seeing him comforting stressed out miners made Rider's spark skip a few beats. Then Breakdown would look his way and he would bashfully walk off. He knew Breakdown saw him do the same, helping the miners every time they asked regardless of how he felt about it. He shivered each time he caught Breakdown watching him. There were times he went off just to relieve some unwanted tension from it too. What Breakdown didn't know wouldn't hurt him or anyone else.

That all changed though when Starscream finally came into the picture. This was the final straw. When hearing Starscream bitch a fit over the miners not being able to bring much Energon, he wanted to push the commander away. Breakdown and Knockout watched behind Starscream as he yelled, and Rider could see Breakdown wasn't happy about it. What he knew the Seeker knew as well was there was a cave-in two hours before which led to progress being lost. It was no one's fault; the rock was just unstable in the area as several surveyors noticed but were ordered to approve the mining location regardless. Typical Starscream couldn't admit when he was wrong.

"I should have known this would happen. You idiots couldn't watch where you were drilling and set us back a whole day! Do you know what Lord Megatron would think if he hears of this?!"

Rider saw the miners try to stay neutral, but some were making the smallest of gestures among the disappointment that made him tense. He found he couldn't keep silent any longer. "They were doing the best they could, Commander Starscream. They recovered more than half the Energon obstructed already."

Starscream scowled and approached him aggressively, "Half? If they were competent, they could have recovered all of it!"

"If you were competent, you would know when you made a bad call, Starscream," he suddenly hissed.

The look on Starscream's face was of complete surprise. He assumed the Seeker never was told off before by a subordinate but as everyone else stared like he had a death wish, Breakdown seemed...proud. He swelled slightly in pride himself until Starscream's expression twisted in rage.

"Why you impudent, little-!"

"Starscream," Breakdown interrupted, "they are my charge. I'll consider punishment for him."

The Seeker growled but said nothing other than, "Fine, you deal with him. I expect him to learn his place and you will oversee that, understood?"

"Yes, sir," the blue mech said.

Rider watched the conversation slightly scared. He had heard of Breakdown's more brutal tactics but never for punishments. Would he be beaten? Broken? Killed? He shrunk naturally in place upon realizing he may have made a grave error but the looks the miners gave him along with their silent signals let him know that they looked up to him. So, taking the punishment fearlessly would inspire them more hopefully. Breakdown sneered as Starscream walked off before gesturing for Rider to follow. Helpless, he obeyed.

They both went to a barren part of the mines with Breakdown seemingly neutral above all, not the normal smile he started getting accustomed to. He feared he had crossed a line. But instead, Breakdown suddenly did something unexpected, like a 360 of his entire demeanor.

"I can't believe you stood up to Screamer like that!" Breakdown laughed. Rider was frozen as he continued, "I mean I've heard Megatron take some shots but that...that was good. I can see why the miners have nothing but good things to say about you."

That caught Rider's attention. "They've...been talking about me to...you?"

"Yeah, when I saw you helping them that last few weeks, they always mentioned you once I double-checked to make sure they were okay. You're like a superstar down here. Of course, they also claimed you have a crush on me-"

Oh, he was going to kill whoever said that regardless of how he swore to protect all of them.

"-but if that is the case, I would rather hear it from you. That is if you wish to or really do like me at all. If you don't, I don't mind. Meeting you alone is awesome."

Rider was quick to say, "I like you too! I mean I like you, but you probably don't like me aside from being similar in personality. W-well, maybe in, uh, more, uh, respectful way. No, what I meant was that I-I..."

Regretting that, he tensed as he expected to be ridiculed but Breakdown only seemed to grow sultry in his expression before abruptly moving towards him. "So, you do have a crush on me? Was it because I'm good-looking or brave or is it because of my actions with the troops? Seeing me display more than just a superiority complex than the rest of the commanders?"

"I...I...well, I...think you're more level-headed certainly. Charming, definitely," he said, muttering that last sentence to himself.

Rider was backed against a wall as Breakdown put one arm up against it to trap him. Breakdown then purred, "We would make quite a team, wouldn't we? Protecting them is something we could do together, and I think they would agree. You want to know what else they told me? They said you've been sneaking off and having some fun on your own. If you wanted someone to play with, all you had to do was ask."

Rider was overheating by the time Breakdown got on his knees, trailing his servo down the Vehicon's waist to his interface panel. With a wicked smirk, the larger mech began rubbing right where both the spike and valve were covered. Rider tried not to make any noise as the mines could echo, and he wasn't sure if he wanted the miners to hear them. His thought process was muted quite fast when Breakdown grew aggressive in his teasing.

"Open up for me."

He did as he was told and wasn't prepared for Breakdown suddenly taking in his spike into his mouth. The larger mech's digits teased his entrance as Rider pressed against the mine walls resisting a moan. A few pumps had him quaking already. His valve quivered as it was stroked at the same time he was being sucked off. Breakdown smirked at his hesitance to touch the back of his head to encourage the movements more. He flinched as it released fast into the wet mouth of Breakdown's, muttering an immediate apology for his lack of control.

"I-I'm sorry..."

Breakdown certainly caught off-guard by it, but he swallowed without any complications, merely laughing, "Honestly, I've never tasted it directly before. It's not bad."

Rider kind of wished he could return the favor but without a mouth, that proved difficult. So, he did the only thing he could do. Perching himself on a protruding rock, he spread his legs for Breakdown. But to his surprise, the mech turned him down.

"You want to get back at Starscream a little? Make him really regret messing with the miners?"

Rider was curious as he put away his equipment and glanced at Breakdown. "What do you have in mind?"

All Breakdown gave him was a witty grin.

Starscream was looking over a few data files for the operation's status while Knockout looked over the edge of rock he was standing on to observe the operation directly.

"How long has Breakdown been gone to punish that unruly Vehicon you detested? Did he kill him? How long does it take to beat the scrap out of a mere soldier?" Knockout scoffed.

The Seeker rolled his optics, "Knowing him, he's too soft on them."

Knockout frowned as he heard a faint noise growing slowly and peered down to notice there wasn't a lot of productivity. "Hey, Screamer, is it just me or are half our workers gone?"

"Why must you pester me with such ques-wait, what do you mean?"

They paused and listened as a weird clanging noise grew in tempo. As more workers left, they looked at each other before running to see if something had gone wrong. For a second, they heard someone scream and feared one of the soldiers or miners might be in terrible danger. When they turned to see an audience of horny miners, they got more than they bargained for when they looked in the same direction as the miners were. While Starscream grew horrified, Knockout merely snickered to himself.

Breakdown was banging Rider with his arms pushing the latter's legs nearly over his head as his servos were planted right beside the wheeled shoulders. He showed the smaller mech no mercy as he fucked him right in the public eye of the whole mining crew shamelessly. Rider could only hold onto the crate he forced on top of by its edge above his helm, claws scraping the light metal as he was pounded into. Breakdown stuck his glossa out like a dog as his momentum never ceased. Like Rider who was fixated on their rut, the bruiser could only smirk at his spike stretching him wide with each vigorous thrust.

Rider moaned with the echoes of the mine illuminating his voice. A few miners, some of whom he recognized by scars or dents, moved around him with their comforting hushes before one grabbed his spike and helped him by moving his servo in time with Breakdown's vigorous assault.

Knockout laughed, "And you thought he was just soft on them. I think that's punishment enough...mainly because I don't think that trooper is going to be able to walk for some time afterwards."

Starscream twitched at the corner of his mouth at the display before growling in disgust, stomping off and pushing a few miners out of his way. Rider wanted to laugh but was preoccupied as he overloaded, transfluid stained his chest. Breakdown panted and sneered at the sight.

"Done already? I'm just getting started," the brute said.

All the Vehicon could do was blush as Breakdown pulled himself out with a hiss before realigning. He wanted the girth back in him so bad, he almost forcefully grabbed it in retaliation. Breakdown merely clicked his glossa in disappointment.

"Disrespecting an officer, well, that's double the punishment," he grinned.

Rider made a hoarse grunt before saying playfully, "Fuck you."

Breakdown chuckled, "I am."

The Decepticon bruiser sent Knockout a gesture of approval which the medic could only shake his head with a smirk at before he sank his spike back into the Vehicon.

Rider bucked at the rough pace as some of the miners masturbated to his image, not that he cared anymore. They deserved a break anyways. After all, he owed them that the same as he had put his life on the line for them many times before. This was his gift to them for all their hard work.

The mines echoed as far as the ship above. Breakdown forced Rider to perch himself on his chest on a rock with his aft presented perfectly and his valve leaking Breakdown's fluids. The larger mech grinned entered him like a bull in breeding mode.

Rider was limp from all the pleasure, now only able to let Breakdown ram him repeatedly. It was the best day or his life, but it might also be the worst now that Starscream knew his dirty secret. There was a chance Megatron would be hearing about it. He feared what the warlord would do. But for now, he was in infinite bliss as Breakdown's hips pressed flush against his aft before making gyrations to keep the spike embedded in him and make him remember who was superior.

"Now, you'll always come to me," Breakdown hissed playfully, "always be open and ready for me to take, won't you?"

Rider gave a drawn-out moan and nodded, "Yes...sir..."

The miners were very attentive, and he didn't mind their company. Breakdown had a lot of stamina...and Starscream could wait a little while longer. All in all, he was just happy to know Breakdown had his back if not his valve and possibly his spark.

AN: Normally, I don't include interwoven POVs in these types of fics...but I wrote Starscream's bit as a joke and found I liked it. Here's big, bad Breakdown for you!
