Mal's Prov
I was in Ben's bathroom, hands shaking, I couldn't be pregnant, I just couldn't be… I mean Ben and I have only been together one time, a month after his coronation. Ben knocked softly on the door. "Mal?" He called through the door. "One second!" I called back, as I picked up the test and did my business on it, before coming out to his bedroom. Ben looked at the test in my hands before saying "Mal?" I sat on the bed, waiting for him to sit beside me. As he sat beside me, he looked at me and said "Mal no matter the outcome of this test, I will stay by you." I nodded once as my head laid on top of his shoulder. The two minutes were up.
Shaking, I picked up the test hoping it would be negative, but when I looked at the screen, it read "pregnant." I looked up to Ben about to apologize, when Ben said "don't apologize Mal, I am also responsible for this." I nodded and sighed. "What should we do?" "Let's take a couple of days to decide." He suggested which I nodded to.
-A few days later-
I sat on my bed in my dorm, trying to focus on the homework I was given. "Mal? Evie?" Lonnie said, as she entered. "Yes Lonnie?" I asked, looking up from the notebook. "I was wondering… if you could possibly do my hair again?" I nodded pulling out my spell book and said "Beware Fore swear replace the old with super new and Cool hair." I swished my fingers, as Lonnie's hair changed.
Ben knocked on the door and entered. "hey Mal got a sec? Cool hair, Lonnie. Hey Evie!" I nodded gathering the few belongings I would need before saying that I may spend the night at the castle, as Ben and I had a lot to discuss. When we arrived, we sat on the couch in the living room. "I want to keep the baby, Ben. I really do." Ben smiled at me, placing a kiss on my forehead before saying "of course we can keep the baby, Mal. So what are we going to do as far as school and telling people?" I thought for a moment before saying "I want to wait to tell the kingdom until I'm 3 months. But I want to tell your parents, Evie, Jay Carlos and Fairy Godmother too. As far as school… I want to stay in as long as I can."
Ben nodded in agreement before saying "I think that's smart! Let's go!" We went to the library where Adam (Ben's father) and Belle were. Ben said "mom, dad, we need to tell you something… and you will be mad… Mal?" I took Ben's hand in mine as I said "I am… I am… I am… I'm Pregnant…" my hand must've been shaking, as Ben gave my hand a comforting squeeze, as he said "And we're keeping it."
I stood shaking at Ben's side as he dad said "BENJAMIN FLORIAN! HOW COULD YOU BE SO IRRESPONSIBLE?!" Belle came over to us and said "while I'm disappointed, I support you both, whatever you want to do." My voice shook as I said "really Belle?" Ben and his dad stepped out for a moment, as Belle said "Of course! I know how hard it is to go through this alone, and granted I'm not your mother, but I do hope you will come to me with any questions or concerns." I hugged her tightly as I whispered a thank you. Ben and his father returned, and Ben said "Mal, let's go talk privately." We returned to his room, where I sat on the bed. "Your mom's disappointed but supportive…" Ben sat beside me and said "dad is pissed off. We- dad and I- are going to stay away from each other for now, give him some time to cool down." I nodded and said "I think that's best…" I laid down on the bed yawning. He chuckled and said "Somebody's sleepy. Go ahead and sleep. It's okay." He said, laying beside me where we both fell asleep.
In the morning I awoke to Ben gently kissing my forehead. I opened my eyes and said "mmmm. I'm up…can you see if breakfast is ready?" he nodded as I ran to the bathroom and threw up. I quickly brushed my teeth and got ready, before I ate breakfast with Ben before we went to the school. The morning passed in a haze.
At lunch, Ben and I sat with Evie, which is when I said "E, we gotta tell you something." Ben said "Mal's…" "pregnant." Evie finished.
