(Julia & Margaret)

It had been 3 weeks since Julia and Susannah had returned from England, and she couldn't be happier.

Since returning, her and William, have been like love birds. You would have thought they were newly married with no children.

As she was at her desk, catching up on new patient's information, she touched a love bite on her neck, from passionate love making, last night. As she traced the love bite, Margaret knocked on the door, "Julia, may I come in?"

She looked up, "oh, Margaret. Yes come in"

"Just heading out, but want to inform you that Mrs. Abbey, just had woken up."

"Ok, thank you. I'll check on her before I leave thank you."

Margaret nodded, "good night, Julia"

"Good night, Margaret"

As Margaret was about to leave, she turned, "Julia?"

"Yes?"

"If I'm correct…is it not you and the detectives wedding anniversary, on Tuesday?"

She nodded, "yes it's our 10th. I don't know what to plan, though?"

"What did you do, last year?"

"We just had dinner, at home. We were going to eat at a restaurant, but I couldn't leave Susannah"

"With what you all went through, I don't blame you"

Julia nodded as she put her face in her hands.

"What did you do the year, before?"

"Well, on our actual anniversary, William and I's work schedule were messy. So, we celebrated a couple of days after with Susannah, and had a picnic."

Margaret smiled, "you celebrated your 8th with your child, that's so sweet"

"Yes, Elsie was going to take her for the day, but we wanted to have a picnic as a family. But it was cut short, because we found a dead body."

"Wait, was it that motorcycle case? Didn't Susannah see the body?"

Julia nodded, "yes, she was only 4 months. But she's a true Murdoch…didn't even cry"

"Well, you need to come up with an exceptional idea to celebrate 10 years" Margaret said as she went to the chalkboard, "Margaret, what are you doing?" Julia asked as she began writing down ideas, "what did you do, for your 1st?"

Julia laughed, "I was so busy at the asylum, I forgot the day, but William remembered and recreated our first date."

"Ooh, how romantic. What did you do on your first date?"

"We had a picnic in the park. William made us peanut butter sandwiches." As Julia blushed and rubbed her neck, "what else did you do?"

"We were working on a case and wanted to do a science experiment, of looking for the green fairy."

"What…the detective drank?"

"Yes" she laughed, "we got quite drunk, and one thing led to another and we kissed"

"And…"

"Okay we kissed a lot, and i felt William getting aroused. I knew if I didn't say something, well…"

"Did you?"

"No, I asked if he had precautions, but he didn't so we just kissed a little more, and went home. The next morning, I was worried he would be relieved, that we didn't make love…but he admitted to me, the morning after our wedding, he was quite disappointed"

Margaret breathed out and grabbed a folder, "is it hot in here?"

Julia laughed, "come on, Margaret ideas"

"Ok" as she writes a word on the board, "baby"

"Baby?"

"Have another baby?"

"Not happening. I can't have more children"

"Oh, I'm sorry."

"It's ok. Go on, another idea"

"Horseback riding?"

"Did it for our 5th"

"Camping trip?"

"Our 3rd"

"Ok, let's think, what is 10 years of marriage like?"

Julia thought, "well, many highs and lows, resilience, commitment, trust, love and communication."

"You two, have been through a lot, and you gave up a job in England for him."

"I did not give it up for him. Like, I said to William and Effie, I did not care for it. I was lost without him. Susannah was as well. Some nights cried herself to sleep calling out for her father."

Margaret nodded, "ok, fair enough. Once you got back, to Toronto, what were you hoping for in your marriage?"

"A new beginning to 10 years of marriage"

"That's it a new beginning. That's your theme."

Julia smiled, "yes, ok, we have a theme. Now, how do you celebrate to a new beginning?"

"Renewing your vows" Margaret said

"What?"

"It's perfect. When you want a new beginning, especially to a marriage, renew your wedding vows"

Julia thought, "that is an amazing idea, but I would want to see if William is up for it, and maybe another proposal"

"How did he propose?"

"We were at my father's cabin, he had just passed. I found out my father had a secret love from years ago and I was shocked of how much I was like my father. Anyway, I was standing by the lake shore, complementing on what I had just learned, and William came over to see how I was and I told him how I felt. But being William, he said something, that he didn't want just few months of love, and happiness, he wanted a lifetime. I asked him to ask me again, which he did, and I looked at him and I asked him to be my husband."

Margaret with tears in her eyes, "and"

"We both said, I will, and kissed"

"That's so beautiful, but you don't want to be proposed the same way"

Julia shook her head, "no, but we'll figure it out. Thank you, Margaret"

"You're welcome. If you do, decide to renew your vows, could I get a 2nd chance at being the wedding planner?" She asked excitedly

"Yes" Julia laughed, "good night, Margaret. Thank you again"

"Anytime" she said and left the room

"This will be perfect idea. I hope William agrees" she said to herself with a smile

(William & Thomas)

William was at his desk, looking at his chalkboard, of all the suspects alibis of the recent case. But he was lost in thought, thinking of Julia and Susannah.

He was so happy, they were home, even though he was disappointed, Julia gave up her dream job for him.

His thought was interrupted, when he heard a knock on the door, and turned, "sir"

"Ah Murdoch, still figuring out everyone's alibi's?"

"Yes, but Mr. Sullivan's hasn't been confirmed, yet"

"Ah, well I'm off, and maybe you should be too"

"Sir?"

"Murdoch, you have a wife and daughter at home, who just returned, from England. It was a long 3 months and I know you missed them terribly"

"I did and your'e right." William said as he grabbed his hat as they walked out of the station together,

"Murdoch, isn't your anniversary, on Tuesday?"

"It is, sir and it's our 10th"

"My gosh 10 years, me old mucker, eh?"

William smiled, "it's been an adventure."

"Have you planned on anything?"

"I have. I am going to ask Julia if she wants to renew our wedding vows"

"Renewing your vows, wow that is something."

"Yes, I am just waiting for Father Harris to get back to me."

"Is it just going to be the 2 of you, or?"

"If she says yes, I am inviting you, Mrs Brackenreid, George, Effie, Henry, Ruth and Watts."

"That's it, no Susannah?"

"Susannah of course, but also Ruby Ogden"

"Dr Ogden's sister?"

"Yes, Julia hasn't seen Ruby in so long, so that's my gift to her. Plus, Ruby will finally meet Susannah"

Brackenreid smacks him on the shoulder, "good job, me old mucker. She will love it."

"Thank you, sir, good night"

"Good night, Murdoch" Brackenreid said

When, William got home, Susannah was still awake, so he decided to read her, favorite story, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, which he had missed reading to her.

Once she was finally asleep, he decided to do the proposal tonight, and set up the living room.

As he finally finished setting up, the door open and close, "William, I'm ho…"

As she turned the corner and saw the room, was lit up with candles, wine and chocolates on the table, and a fireplace lit, "William?"

He got up from his chair, "Susannah is down for the night, so it's just us" as he kissed her

"William, this is beautiful."

"I am glad. I wanted to show how much I love you."

"I love you, too, William" as they kissed again

"Julia, these past years, have been quite an adventure. It hasn't been always easy, but these last 10 years have been the best of my life."

Tears filled her eyes, "William"

"So" as he bent down on one knee, "Julia Ogden, will you marry me again?"
