I do not own Harry Potter or the Characters created by Rowling, if I did then they would actually listen to Ron

So...when I first wrote this...I don't even know how long ago, it was low *cough* highkey crappily written and the chapters were much shorter. This was originally 1,556 words. Now it is 2,250 words. That means I made this 994 words longer.

Anyways, this is also posted onto my Tumblr account imnotobsessedwfictionalchracters and my Wattpad somekindofmagic1 so you can check it out on there too!

But anywho, hope you enjoy!

Chapter 9. You Can Feel it on The Way Home

The group of 1st years walked out of the written portion of their Defense Against the Dark Arts test. Scorpius, Albus, Rohyn, and Chris were all grumbling about how annoying that test was. While Anne, Holly, Robyn, and Charlotte were rolling their eyes and making fun of them.

"My siblings always said that the end of the year exams were hard, but I haven't really struggled with any of them...yet."

Holly nodded, "I agree. Olive and Oli always said that they were difficult. But Anne's right, they were really easy." Charlotte and Robyn nodded along.

Albus scoffed, "Easy for you four to say! We felt like we were dying in there!"

Scorpius sighed, "We still have the physical test."

Albus scoffed, "That's so much better Scorpius, wow, I think I feel so much better." He tried to keep a straight face, but ended up laughing. Everyone else quickly joined him. "How do you people keep a straight face while being sarcastic?"

Anne shrugged, "I won't lie, I sometimes can't. But most of the time, it's pretty easy."

"Have you met my mother, Albus? She's so goddamn sarcastic all of the bloody time."

"No, I have not and I would like to keep it that way for a bit. I'm never taking Arithmancy."

"Well, I'm hungry and would like some food."

Albus, Scorpius, and Rohyn agreed with Chris's statement. As Robyn rolled her eyes and muttered, "Boys."

Anne just shook her head, "You guys are always hungry."

"I'm part Weasley so that's my excuse."

"I'm a growing boy, I need to eat."

"You're a growing idiot Scorpius."

Scorpius and Albus watched as Anne walked out of the room. "How was it? What do we have to do?"

She rolled her eyes, "You'd die without me."

Scorpius shrugged, "Yes, but that's not the point."

And just like Holly and Robyn, she crossed her arms and said, "1.) I'm not going to say what you have to do because 2.) it's easy."

Albus ran a hand through his hair, "C'mon Anne, you want us to pass, right?"

"Yeah," She sat down next to them, "On your own."

"You're no fun."

She rolled her eyes again, "Whatever you guys." And grabbed her Potions textbook from her bag and started studying with the other girls as they all waited for the rest of their classmates to finish.

The first years watched as the 5th and 7th year Slytherins continued to study as they still had the rest of the O.W.L.S. and N.E.W.T.S. to finish.

Charlotte shook her head, "I honestly feel sorry for the 5th and 7th years, they have two more days of this."

Albus nodded, "Yeah, I don't wanna be them like...ever."

Rohyn nodded his head, "Same Al."

"Children!" They looked over to Lorene Zabini as she jumped over the railing of the stairs that led up to the girls' dorms.

"You're gonna hurt yourself one day."

She scoffed, "Tiny Avery, please, I've been doing this for 13 years, I'll be fine, but, that's not what I want to talk about."

Robyn raised her eyebrow, "Then what is it?"

Lorene smirked, "How're you guys gonna deal with the summer?"

"What do you mean?"

"The Quidditch World Cup is this year! Are you guys gonna go to the game, wherever it ends up being?"

Scorpius shrugged, "Depends on what my parents want."

"If Scorpius and his family go, I'll join them, even if my family," Rohyn nudged his twins' ribs, "Doesn't wanna go."

"Same here, even though I'm not the biggest Quidditch fan, it's always fun seeing my siblings get all riled up for them."

Albus was the first to give a definitive answer, "Yeah, my mum is doing a report on it again...or she's editing one. Not sure which, but either way, it will probably be mandatory for me and my family to go."

Lorene nodded, "Well what about you miss 'I don't understand Quidditch'?"

Anne laughed, "I do understand Quidditch! I just don't enjoy it as my family does." She sighed as she brushed some hair from her face, "But, I'll probably go. Will it most likely be because I will be dragged to it by my brothers?" She nodded, "Yes."

"Why do you even care, Lor?"

Lorene shrugged, "Was just curious cause mum sent a letter saying we have to go since my Uncle Reece may play."

Rohyn piqued the next question, "What team?"

"Welsh, they made it to the Quarterfinals last week. Then the week we get out, aka in 1 week, we will know if they make it to the Semifinals and if they make it to those then we'll find out if they make it to the finals. And besides, it's being held by Britain this year so most of the ministry workers get cheaper tickets."

Scorpius nodded, "That makes sense, but I can try to convince my parents to take me."

Charlotte snorted, "Doesn't take much for you to convince your parents of really much, Scor."

He rolled his eyes, "Not like you can take Lottie, Uncle Graham is wrapped around your finger."

"My dad is wrapped around all of us girls' fingers. We can do no wrong according to him."

"That's how it should be. One of your parents wrapped around your finger so you can do no wrong in their book. Works wonders, I won't lie."

Did he even have his mum or dad wrapped around his finger? Albus thought about it, he was sure he didn't. None of them had their mum, but Lily had their dad. They all, including their mum, knew that she could kill someone and their dad would let her go. All she had to do was give him a simple, "daddy" and he would fold.

Anne laid her head on Albus's shoulder as Scorpius and Rohyn sat across from them. "Weird to think we're going home for more than 2-3 weeks."

"Yeah, and after what happened over Christmas, I'm scared."

Rohyn raised an eyebrow, "What happened over Christmas?"

Albus sighed, "I just overheard something that I probably shouldn't have and I've been letting it get to me more than I should've."

Rohyn nodded, "Family being assholes over your house?" Albus looked at him surprised, "Charlotte, my older sister Charlotte, overheard some things a few older kids were saying a few weeks around them. Didn't think it was about you until just now."

"Huh, I didn't know you knew how to use your brain, Ro."

He shrugged, "I don't often so I can surprise you guys with it. And also, Rob is smarter so I let her do the thinking for me."

Anne rolled her eyes, "This is why you and Al are such great friends, Ro. This is why."

But when it came to what happened over break. None of them really spoke of it. Mostly because none of them really found it to be relevant. And they didn't want Albus to relive what happened. And he didn't want to either.

Anne sighed, "Do you think that your parents would care much if Scor and I just appeared at your house, Al?"

"Oh wow, you acknowledged that I exist for once. Who knew you could do it."

She rolled her eyes and kicked his shin from across the compartment. "Asshole."

He let out a string of curses as Albus shrugged. "My parents like you both so I doubt they'll care much. You may just want to bring the subject to them. Especially since it'll be the summer, someone may not be home."

Rohyn looked at him confused, "Why wouldn't someone be home? Someone is always home at my house."

"Because we spend time with our other family members...not excited for that coming up. So if you would like to show up at my house too, that would be alright as well."

"Anne, Scor, let me know whenever you two will be heading his way, and I shall join you."

They both gave an 'got it' motion and Anne slid her head down and laid it on Albus's lap. "How's Lily, Al?"

He shrugged, "She was doing good last I had heard. But I can't exactly see the exact thing she is feeling through her letters."

"That's good."

Albus nodded, "Yeah, I guess."

As the compartment door opened, the kids looked over to see Colin Creevy II, Ivy Thomas, and Maily Jordan menacingly staring back at them.

Ivy smirked, "Looks like we did find a compartment. All that we have to do is to rid it of its...stink."

The four 1st becoming 2nd years glared at them. Maily crossed her arms, "I agree, Ivy. We need to get rid of the snakes."

Albus stood up, "Why don't you guys bother someone else! Or are you too busy trying to be James, Oliver, and Frank 2.0 to know how to make your own decision?"

"How dare you say our names you filthy little snake!"

Albus glared at them, "Yeah? And what're you gonna do Colin? Hit some poor and defenseless kids?" He crossed his arms, "I mean, your brother did beat one up already.

Colin shrugged, "She deserved it. Her father was a death eater. Just a matter of time before she, and they," He pointed at the rest of the compartment, "Turn out just like their parents!"

Scorpius was quick to stand and be next to Albus. But before anything could happen they all heard the voice of Prefect Jerimiah Ecerson, "What's going on here?!"

Maily turned around sharply, "Nothing!"

He raised an eyebrow, "Nothing?" He crossed his arms, "Well, from what I saw and heard, you three were threatening a group of kids that just finished their first year." He laughed sarcastically, "That's pretty low. Now go find another compartment to be in or I'll give you all a detention for next year!"

"You wouldn't dare!"

He raised an eyebrow, "Try me."

Maily's smaller frame pushed out of Jerimiah's way, "C'mon, let's just go. We'll find someone else."

Colin and Ivy followed after her as Jerimiah looked at the four kids, "You kids alright?"

They nodded and he walked away, closing the compartment door. Albus sat back down next to Anne. And for the next few moments, no one spoke. That was until Scorpius spoke in a whisper, "My mum wasn't."

"What?"

Scorpius looked at Albus, they all could see the tears pricking in his own eyes. "My mum...she was never a death eater. And by technicality, neither was my grandmother. My father didn't even want to become one."

No one really knew what to say in response to that. Albus didn't even register Anne laying her head back on his lap. Nor did he register her whispering how neither of her parents were death eaters either.

The four kids had become five as Rohyn's twin, Robyn joined them a little bit before they reached Kings Cross. They all stood on the platform, trying to locate their family's.

"I think I see Felix over there."

"Guess we know where to go."

Robyn and Rohyn turned to the other three, Robyn gave them a small salute. "Anne, Scor, I shall see you at Aidan's wedding. And Albus...hopefully I'll see you at some point during the summer."

As she walked away, Rohyn smirked, "Give Potter hell for us, eh?"

Albus nodded, "Will do."

Anne looked at Albus, "I see my siblings running over here." She pointed to where two little blonde girls, who Albus assumed were her little sisters, were running over here. "Anne-lease! Anne-lease!" The two yelled as they ran over to her.

She smiled and kneeled down, "Eden, Elena, I missed you!"

"We missed you!"

She kissed both of their heads, "Hey, I want you to meet my friend, Albus." She stood up and pointed to Albus, "Eden, Elina, this is Albus. Albus, this is Elina and Eden."

"Hi Albus!"

"Hi A-Al-Al. Hi Al!"

Albus smiled, "Hello!"

Eden turned to Scorpius, smile wide on her face, "Hi Scory!"

Scorpius smiled back at her, "Hey Eden! What're you and your sister doing over here?"

"Our mama sent us!"

"Yeah, like Eda said, mama sent us!"

Anne hummed, "Well, if mum sent you two, I better go with you." She turned back to Albus and wrapped her arms around Albus, "Promise you'll write?"

"Everyday, you'll get annoyed by how much I'll write."

She laughed, "I highly doubt that." She brushed some hair out of her face, "I'll let you know if I end up going to the World Cup. Bye Al," She turned to Scorpius, "Bye Scorp." She then took hold of her sister's hands and ran off with them.

Albus looked over at Scorpius, "Those had to be her youngest sisters, right?"

Scorpius nodded, "They are. The one who talked to me was Eden and the other was Elina. I believe that Elina is at least 5 and I think Eden is a year younger at 4, but I may be wrong. Her siblings' ages really is something that you'd have to ask her about. I do, however, know her younger brother is 2." He pointed over to her family, "See that little kid she's holding?"

Albus looked and saw her a couple yards away holding a boy with black hair. "Yeah."

"Okay, so that's Nicholas, he's the youngest of her siblings."

"He looks like a miniature version of Anne, just with black hair."

Scorpius nodded, "Yeah, that's what we all say. Especially us who knew her when she was that age.."

Albus nodded and turned to Scorpius, "Well, before my mum sends Lily, I better get going." He smiled at him, "I'll see you later!"

"Yeah, I better get going too." They gave a small hug. "I'll probably see you at the World Cup."

"Yeah," The two boys went their separate ways and as Albus neared his family he saw his mother glance over and smile, "Hey mum."

She put a hand on her hip, obviously getting ready to tease him. "Look who finally decided to join us." He laughed, "I thought we would have to send Lily off to get you." She then moved her arm and wrapped her arms around him, "I missed you Albus."

He hugged her back, "I missed you too mum."

His dad gave him a small smile, "Ready to go?"

He nodded, "Yeah, I guess."

"Then let's go."

They said goodbye to their family or that they would see them at the Burrow next week. Lily wrapped her arm around her brother's side and he wrapped his around her shoulders protectively. She looked up at him, "Welcome home Albie."

He smiled down at his sister, "I'm glad to be back, Lils."

He turned back to stare at his parents and James's backs and question. Was he really happy to be back? He couldn't avoid James as easily as before. But he did always have ways to get out. He always could just help his grandmother out at The Burrow or hang with Dominique at Shell Cottage or hang with Scorpius and Anneliese someday. Or ask Robyn and Rohyn to hang out. Or maybe some other members of his house that he had become friends with in the past year. He sighed, he would figure it out as time went on.
