The next morning Uraraka woke up with the biggest headache of her life. Feeling the light hit her eyes she groaned in irritation as she rolled over to the other side which caused her stomach to protest at the sudden movement.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!
"No…" Pulling the covers over her face she tried to ignore whoever it was that decided to interrupt her sleep.
"Ochaco?"
"Tsu?" Slowly sitting up she rubbed her dry eyes as she looked around her room wondering how she even managed to get into her bed in the first place, but that thought was quickly overshadowed by the ongoing pain in her head, making her wince.
"Come in." She croaked, feeling her throat in desperate need of water. Giving a tired smile as her eyes landed on her nightstand where there sat a cup of water along with some aspirin.
"Ochaco are you alright?" Tsu grinned, letting herself in and sitting down next to her.
Shaking her head and regretting it, Uraraka slowly sat up. "I'm never doing that again."
"Uh-huh." Rubbing her back soothingly Tsu smile. "At least someone brought you something." She said pointing towards the nightstand.
"Did you have a headache?"
"Just a little. Probably not as much as the rest of you."
Pouting Uraraka frowned for a moment before speaking again. "Hey Tsu, did you bring me to my room?"
"No, Momo and I were busy getting Jirou and Hagakure to their rooms which wasn't easy."
"I bet." Uraraka giggled. "Well then who did?"
Lifting a finger to her cheek Tsu tilted her head. "Well, I know Mina, Kirishima and Bakugo told the others that they were going to help you since you were on the same floor anyways. Ribbit. So maybe one of them made sure to give you that." She gestures to the water.
"Maybe…" Uraraka thought for a minute hoping that Kirishima and especially Bakugo didn't see her like that. "That's just embarrassing." She groaned laying back down.
Laughing Tsu shook her head. "Trust me, you're not the only one that's having a hard time this morning. Midoriya and I have been making the rounds this morning to make sure everyone's up to avoid any suspicions from last night."
"Really?" She asked which Tsu nodded in reply.
"We should hurry. Momo and Sato are making breakfast for everyo-" unable to finish her sentence once she saw Uraraka quickly run to the bathroom. With a deep sigh Tsu made her way towards the bathroom. "There goes another one…"
X
Once she was finally able to get ready for the day and still exhausted, she and Tsu headed down the elevator to meet everyone for breakfast.
"Seems like almost everyone's here." Tsu said to her as they walked towards the kitchen.
You could smell the wonderful food all around but to Uraraka it made her stomach turn and all she really wanted was something to wake her up instead of feeling like a walking zombie like a few of her friends who were already slouched on the table.
"Hey Sato, Momo." She greeted while the two did the same.
"Hey Ochaco, I hope you're hungry. We made quite the spread this morning." Yaoyorozu smiled.
"Great." She smiled headed straight for the coffee machine. "First I'll have a nice hot-oh man…" Pouting once she realized it was all already gone.
"Sleep well?"
"Eh?" Wincing at the loud noise someone had made in the kitchen, she slowly looked to her left.
Smirking Bakugo purposely lowered his voice lifting his eyebrows. "You feeling alright there cheeks? Need me to talk quitter for you?"
Unamused, she gave him a quick glare before returning to making her coffee.
"Still not a morning person huh?" Snickering, he leaned against the sink next to her drinking his coffee while pushing another mug towards her. "Here. Thought your ass would sleep in late again."
Blinking down at the mug she gave him a puzzled look. "Uhm…thank you."
"Whatever." Turning away to look at the others, he continued to quietly drink his coffee while she started another batch for the others. "Did the aspirin help?"
"Huh?"
"Aspirin." he said slowly. "Geez round-face are you still half asleep?"
Feeling her face turn warm in humiliation realizing that it was probably Bakugo who had helped her last night. 'Great Ochaco, just great. Out all the people in the dorm that could've seen you like that it would be him, right?' Inwardly scolding herself she quickly looked away.
Tiling his head sideways he watched her reaction. "Tch, you don't remember anything from last night, do you?"
Snapping her head in his direction she gaped at him. "I do too…for the most part…" she mumbled the last part.
"Oh yeah? Which part?"
"W-well there are small bits and pieces where I don't, but I do remember most of it. But I don't remember how we got home or anything after." She said looking sideways.
She did remember most of what happened at the club and some parts she rather forget like the embarrassing stuff, and she definitely remembered dancing with him and that she almost kissed him and the rejection that came after.
"Round-face?"
"Huh?" Unaware that he had asked her something she continued to blink at him.
"I said is that all you remember?"
"Y-yeah." She said frowning when she saw something like disappointment flicker in his eyes before he looked away. "Why, is there something I should?"
"No." He quietly said after some time.
Giving him a suspicious look, she tried hard to think about last night after coming home. "Ok Ochaco think…you left the club with everyone…you walked to the car…you went back in for your phone and then…Oh!'
Widening her eyes, she quickly pulled her phone out not having checked it yet.
"What?" Bakugo said watching as she scrolled through her phone.
"I…uhm…" Re-reading the last message she got she felt her cheeks redden.
Frowning Bakugo only saw an unknown number but didn't dare read it knowing that it would probably piss him off even more.
Without another word he saw her quickly walking towards the table where the others were slowly eating breakfast or at least trying to.
Leaning her forehead against her palm, Mina sat at the table nursing the biggest headache she's ever had. Receiving a curious look from Iida as he looked between her and the others.
"Seems like a lot of our classmates are still recovering from being ill last night." Iida said taking a bite of his food.
"Sure are." Mina groaned.
Clearing his throat Iida looked apprehensively before slowly leaning. "I uhm…hear you girls weren't feeling well either, but I do have to ask…why the sunglasses?"
"It's a girl thing." Lowering her shades, she just shrugged. "And it's helping."
"Really?" Lifting an interested eyebrow, he nodded. "I see, so this actually helps you girls?"
"It does right now." She gave a weak smile hoping that he wouldn't ask anymore questions since she really wasn't in the mood of having to explain how the female body works or make him suspicious about last night.
"Mina!" Uraraka shrieked pushing her phone up to the pink girls' face.
"Ochaco, honey please not so loud." Mina groaned rubbing her temple.
"Well, this is important!" Uraraka said trying to keep her voice down.
Removing her sunglasses Mina squinted her eyes trying to get used to the lighting while picking up Urarakas phone.
Riku: Hey cat girl, let me know if you guys made it home safe.
"Riku? Oh, that's right he's that hot guy." Mina said looking back at Uraraka. "Well, that's nice of him."
"Mina!"
Walking over to the sink after eating Kirishima eyed Bakugo for a minute following his line of sight over to the two girls who were looking at Urarakas phone now before cleaning his plate. "Hey man, thanks again for last night."
"Don't fuckin mention it." He grumbled.
Placing his plate on the drying rack, Kirishima turned around leaning against the sink. "So did you at least have fun?"
Grunting Bakugo turned to wash his cup. "For the most part. Doesn't mean I'll do that shit again."
Chuckling Kirishima waved his hand already knowing that it would be hard to get Bakugo to go again. "Nah I get it. So, what do you want to do today?"
Turning Bakugo made his way towards the elevators. "We're training."
"What? Nooo!" Kirishima ran up to him. "My head still hurts bro."
"Tch, not my problem. Maybe next time you losers should think about what you're doing."
"Well yeah I'll give you that." Kirishima grinned stepping into the elevator. "But I still had fun. But I did promise some of the others we'd go to the arcade later."
"Fuckin hell…" Bakugo groaned steeping out of the elevator and heading for his room to change.
"So, I'll take that as a yes."
X
"Ok, so tell me again why this is a bad thing?" Mina said laying on her bed still trying to regain her energy from last night. "And I swear I've never danced so much in my life. I love it!"
"Mina focus." Uraraka giggled from beneath the purple heart pillow Mina had on her bed.
"I know I know, but we're definitely going back!" Mina laughed already thinking about it. "Ooh and maybe dance on that stage too!"
"Yeah, that's something I definitely won't do."
"Oh, cheer up will ya. This isn't the end of the world." Pulling the pillow from Urarakas face who simply pouted back sitting up. "So, what if a guy texted you…and a hot guy at that."
"Mina…not helping."
Giggling Mina winked. "Hey, I said what I said. But seriously Ochaco, what's the problem?"
Letting out an exasperated sigh Uraraka leaned her head against the headboard not knowing where to even begin.
"Is it because of our explosive boy?"
"Yeah." she quietly said picking the pillow back up.
"Well, you guys aren't together, right?"
"Right…" Feeling a bang in her chest everytime she thought about that Uraraka started playing with the pillow.
"Babe tell me what's wrong then, because I need a little more than one word answers." Mina asked, now giving her a worried look.
"It's just that…I was looking forward to him coming home so that maybe if he still felt the same way we could picked up where we left off you know, but then he misunderstood things with Todoroki and I, then the whole think with the…"
"Condom yeah." Mina laughed at Urarakas red face. "Which by the way- have you returned it yet?"
"W-well I gave it to Kirishima to put it back for me."
"Nice, ok so now we just have to wait for our plan." Mina simply said.
"Yeah, but then Kirishima told me that if Bakugo was or did do something he would've told him like he did before."
Lifting her hand Mina gawked at her. "Wait. What do you mean before?"
"Exactly." Uraraka said. "I don't think Kirishima meant to say that, so it was a slip up."
"Ok, but are we sure that's what he meant?"
"To be honest I'm not sure, but that would make sense with the box, wouldn't it?"
"Hmm…"
"And then when we were at the club the first thing I see is him talking to Camie."
"Yeah, but then she also said that her and other girls were trying to get his attention, but he wasn't interested." Mina pointed out.
"True, but then as embarrassing as it is to say, I might have tried to…kiss him." She mumbled the last part hoping Mina wouldn't hear.
"What when?!"
But of course, she did.
"Last night, when we were dancing."
"So how was it?!" Mina jumped in her seat. "Does that mean you guys are together or-"
"No. He actually moved away from me." She said looking down.
"What?! Why?!"
"Now do you see why all of this seems pretty obvious to me. If you put all of the things together…"
Opening her eyes wider Mina slowly nodded in understanding. "Ok I get it now…"
"And now I feel so stupid because I put myself out there like that." Uraraka said "I just don't know anymore."
"Well, what do you know?"
"I know that I still feel the same way for him, and I know the way my heart feels whenever I even hear his name." she smiled before letting out a frustrated sight. "But now I'm thinking that it might just be one sided."
"So now you're not sure whether you should text Riku back because it might give him the wrong idea."
"Well yeah that and the fact that now I feel guilty about giving my number to Riku when I know I shouldn't be." Placing her head on Mina's shoulder she quietly continued. "I'm still not over Bakugo and I'm not sure if I ever will be..."
"That's understandable babe. And I agree that it's not right to lead someone on so maybe you need to make it clear with Riku. And as for Bakugo…I really think you two should still talk because I don't know Ochaco, I still think there's some misunderstandings going on but if it is true that he's moved on…then maybe you should too."
Silently nodding Uraraka just enjoyed the silence with her friend for another minute.
"But I do have a question. Are you still going to give him his birthday present?"
"I want to." She frowned. "I really want him to have it, so does that make me dumb?"
"Heck no!" Mina waved. "We put our tears, blood and sweat into it; he better get it! Besides even if you two aren't together you can still be friends, right?"
"Right."
X
"Woah dude that's a lot to take in." Kirishima said rubbing his head while the three of them stepped into the elevator. "But I figured something was going on yesterday."
"Hey, I have a question." Kaminari said lifting his hand. "Why didn't you kiss her?!"
"I already fuckin told you idiot, she was drunk, and I wasn't going to do that! Plus, I still don't know what's going on between her and Icy hot."
"I still can't believe it though. Her and Todoroki?" Kaminari said rubbing his chin.
"We don't know that." Kirishima said stepping out of the elevator.
"Ok so let's just say that if it is true…what would that mean between you two?"
Keeping his eyes on the floor Bakugo contemplated his next words. "If it is true, then at least I'd know she's with someone good."
"Huh?" Widening his eyes Kaminari looked over at Kirishima. "Wait so you're saying that you'd throw in the towel?"
"Kaminari-"
"What I'm saying is, that I rather her be happy and with someone that I know for a fact will treat her right if she doesn't want to be with me. And I can't make her."
"True."
"But it doesn't really matter too much at this point since she apparently gave her number to that fuckin bartender last night too."
"What?"
"No!"
"She didn't!"
Rolling his eyes Bakugo stared at them. "What the hell is this?"
"Sorry." Kirishima grinned. "But are you sure she did?"
"Yup."
"That reminds me, what was up with Camie giving you her number in the car?"
"What?!" Kaminari franticly looked between them.
"Oh, that shit? When we were at the airport and my parents surprised me with the car, her and Deku were in the backseat while I was on my way here and she gave her number to us-"
"Hold it! Her and Deku were in the backseat?!"
"Cool it Kaminari, I'm sure that's not really what happened there right?" Kirishima looked back at Bakugo.
"They were seating in the backseat if that's what you mean."
"Uhm ok. So, you have her number then?"
"No, I burned that shit and tossed it out."
"What?!"
Groaning Bakugo stopped in front of his door letting his eyes scan the box on the floor before picking it up. "What the hell's this?" he said while entering his room.
"That's strange. Maybe a birthday present." Kirishima said walking in.
"Does it say from who?" Kaminari asked curiously looking over his shoulder.
"Doesn't look like it."
Seeing that both boys were too busy looking over the box, Kirishima quickly opened the drawer to Bakugos nightstand and hurriedly placed the small black box inside.
"Oi!"
Startled Kirishima jerked his head so fast to the side that his neck cracked. "Yes?"
"Hand me those scissors over there." Bakugo said pointing to his desk.
Letting out a relived sight Kirishima walked back over to them with the scissors.
"By the way what were you doing going through my nightstand?"
'Crap!' Quickly trying to come up with an answer while Bakugo just stared blankly at him Kirishima shrugged. "hehehe I erm…was looking for a pencil…"
"Well, isn't there some on the desk?" Kaminari said receiving a glare from the red head. "Or not."
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Kirishima grinned as Bakugo continued to stare at him with an unreadable expression. Unable to stop his curiosity Kirishima knew he had to ask. "Hey Bakubro…?"
"What?"
Rubbing his neck Kirishima looked back at the nightstand. "While looking for…a pencil, I happen to see a box of condoms…"
Grimacing Bakugo went back to what he was doing. "Tch, so what's your question."
Dropping his mouth open along with a surprised Kaminari, Kirishima rapidly blinked a few times. "Wait, are you doing what I think you're doing. Is that why you have it?!"
"Dude! Are you holding out on us?! Why didn't you tell us?!"
"Oh, shut the hell up! And that shit's none of your damn business, but to answer your stupid question anyways no I'm not."
"Then why do you have it?"
Already passed annoyed at this point Bakugo rubbed his face. "You remember when round-face and I-"
"AHA! There it is!" Kaminari grinned. "Why didn't you just tell us you guys were together?"
"We're not sparky." Bakugo said with a hint of disappointment in his voice. "When Mr. Aizawa saw her in my room that time and spoke with my parents about it." Reliving that horrible memory of talking to his parents for hours to the point where his mother made sure to drill it in his head on how to be responsible, he franticly shook his head hoping it would shake those memories away too. "Anyways my dad ended up taking me the store to talk some more while buying that just to be safe…even though I told him I didn't need it."
"Oh man…"
"Sorry I asked…"
"Yeah, that night was pretty fucked up." Bakugo said before turning back to Kirishima. "Why'd you ask?"
"Oh, you know I'm just curious."
"Uh-huh."
"Well, I'm surprised you haven't used them." Kaminari said stretching his arms over his head. "I mean you're single and there's plenty of hot babes that I'm sure you've met."
"I haven't and no there's not. And why would I waste my time on those fuckin extras." He said, turning his attention back to the gift. "It's not worth it."
Sharing a look both boys shrugged.
Widening his eyes Bakugo carefully pulled out a set of black drumsticks with his name engraved on it with orange lettering. "What…?"
Whistling Kaminari went to grab one before getting his hand smacked away. "Hey!"
"Wonder who go these. They look really nice man." Kirishima said surprised to see Bakugos giant smirk.
"Don't know. It didn't say." He said still admiring them.
"Hmm…maybe it's from a secret admire." Kaminari mused while sitting in front of the tv.
"You think?" Kirishima asked lifting his eyebrows.
"Why not? Did you see those girls staring on the first day of school?"
"Maybe it was because you and fuckin raccoon eyes were locked in a girl fight?" Bakugo snorted.
"Maybe…"
"Yeah whatever. Let's play the game already." Bakugo said walking over to his desk and placing the box down and letting his eyes look over it again.
X
Mina: So you just left it on the floor?!"
Uraraka: Yeah
Mina: Why? I wanted my credit!
Uraraka: I knocked a few times, and he wasn't there.
Mina: Ok that makes sense. But then why not give it to him directly?
Uraraka: …
Mina: You're not going to tell him it's from you, are you?
Uraraka: No
Mina: Girl you're so smitten
Groaning Uraraka laid her head on the desk watching one of Present Mics videos in class.
Mina: That reminds me 'cat girl' have you written Riku back yet?
Letting her eyes drift over to the pink girl who looked really focused on the video, but Uraraka knew better, letting out a quiet giggle.
Slowly turning his head Bakugo saw Deku franticly writing down notes mumbling to himself again while he let his red eyes scan the back of the classroom and hearing Uraraka giggle while checking her phone. With a scowl he quickly turned back around placing his cheek on his palms.
Uraraka: No, I haven't.
Mina: Meanie
Uraraka: I will, at least to let him know we all made it safe.
Turning back to the screen Uraraka bit her lip contemplating on what she should say when the last bell rang signaling the end of the day.
"Hey Uraraka, are you joining us for our study session later?" Deku walked up with Shinso and Todoroki.
"You bet." She smiled walking along with them towards her locker. "Same place?"
"Same place for what?" Tsu and Mina said joining them.
"To study." Shinso said. "Are you guys going?"
"I will. Ribbit."
"Yeah, I'll have to pass." Mina said grinning. "I'm supposed to meet Kirishima for- oh are you freaking kidding me!" she cried out.
"Huh?" Curiously, following Minas' gaze they saw a few girls scattered around the lockers where some of the other guys were.
She wasn't surprised that it happened. Heck, she saw a bunch of girls staring at a lot of her classmates even since the first day of school so there was no surprise there. But she definitely knew where Mina was coming from and certainly didn't like it.
Taking a small peek over she saw Sero, Kaminari and Sato chatting away with some of the girls while Kirishima was looking flustered, and Bakugo had his usual scowl on while digging through his locker.
"I swear these girls are like freaking vultures!" Mina said, placing her hand on her hip. "Can't leave the guys alone for a minute and here they come."
"Well, most of them don't seem to mind. Besides we are in the hero course, so it's bound to attract some attention."
"I know Tsu but doesn't mean I have to like it." Mina said. "Does anyone have a spray bottle?"
"For what?" Todoroki asked.
"You don't want to know." Both Uraraka and Tsu said.
"How do you guys deal with the constant girl fawning?" Mina asked them, lifting a curious brow.
Exchanging looks Deku, Todoroki and Shinso all shook their heads. "It's exhausting."
Snickering Mina grinned. "Yeah, I bet."
"No, we're being serious." Deku gave her a sincere look. "Usually when that happens, I tend to go the other way to avoid them, I try not to but sometimes it's necessary."
"It gets rather annoying." Todoroki said frowning.
"Well don't you guys deal with the same thing?" Shinso asked.
"You mean other than Mineta?" Mina asked. "Yeah, I guess you could say that we do, but we're usually around some of our classmates and let's face it, most of you are boys so it tends to drive others away."
"Oh…we're sorry." Deku quietly said.
"No, it's alright." Uraraka said smiling with the girls. "We don't really care about that."
X
"…and this over here is Bakugo." Sero said draping an arm around his shoulder making him turn around growling in irritation.
"Oh yes we've heard of you!" Some of the girls squealed. "Is it true that you just came from overseas?"
"That sounds so great!"
Opening his mouth, getting ready to tell them off he saw Uraraka, and the others pass by still involved in deep conversation making their way outside.
"Ok. Move it! Shoo shoo!" Mina said pushing her way through the crowd of girls.
"Hey!" Kirishima grinned once he saw her.
"Come on." Mina said grabbing Kirishima by the hand and walking off. "We're late for our thing."
"Wait, we had a schedule?" Kirishima scratched his head following his girlfriend out.
Rolling his eyes and slamming his locker shut, Bakugo starting making his way out of the building.
"Hey man where you going?" Kaminari said while Bakugo walked away.
"I've got better things to do."
X
Once she got to her room and changed out of her uniform, she picked up her phone debating on whether or not she should write Riku back. It had already been a couple days, so she did feel bad about not letting him know that they had made it home safe.
Looking out the window she could see a few students idly walking around campus or just enjoying the afternoon sun outside.
"Hmm doesn't sound like a bad idea.' She thought, looking down at her watch and realizing she still had a little time before their study session, so she grabbed one of her books in search of a nice quiet spot under one of the trees outside.
Leaning back against the beautiful pink cherry blossom tree, she closed her eyes enjoying the cool breeze as it danced along her hair making her hum in satisfaction. This is exactly what she needed, some time to relax and get her thoughts in order.
So much has happened throughout their time here at UA that sometimes she needed some time for herself.
After a few minutes she heard some giggling and opened her eyes to see some girls a little ways off staring and pointing at something or rather someone. 'Of course.' She thought while she saw Bakugo jogging towards their dorm already sweaty from what she could guess was a nice run.
As her eyes shamelessly trailed along his muscular body that was exposed, she felt her face heat up thinking that it should be a crime for someone like that to be running around. She was pretty sure there wasn't an inch of him that wasn't mouthwatering to look at. 'What am I doing?!' Stopping at his face, she forced herself to look away and down towards her book. 'Now's not the time Ochaco.'
She was still embarrassed about her behavior at the club. Not to say she didn't have fun because she really did, but the feeling of rejection still clawed its way into her chest every so often. She remembered that's the reason when Riku had asked for her number when they were leaving that night, she didn't mind giving it to him as a friend and thinking nothing of it until the girls told her why he probably asked for it.
Hearing more chatter, she looked up to see Bakugo had stopped for a minute to catch his breath leaning against his knees.
It's not like she was blind to the fact that Bakugo always managed to draw attention whether it was because of his loudmouth, brash behavior, talent or by looks alone. But it did stir up that familiar feeling in her stomach that she now knew was jealousy but of course she wouldn't admit it out loud and give him the satisfaction that something like that would bother her. Especially since she felt that he wasn't interested in her anymore.
Frowning she pulled out her phone, sending a quick message before putting it down and continued reading. Trying to concentrate on the page in front of her while hearing the girls giggle was a hard task in itself, but she was determined to fight the sudden urge to get up and leave.
"What are you reading?"
"Huh?" Looking up she had to squint her eyes from the sun to see him standing in front of her with his usual scowl. Gesturing towards her open book in her lap she could still see him breathing hard from his workout.
"Oh uhm…it's just a book." She said trying to hide the small blush on her cheeks and hoping he wouldn't see it or the title of the book while she looked back down pretending to read. "H-how was training?"
Looking off towards the setting sun he shrugged before sitting down against the tree next to her but still making sure to keep some distance. "It was training, so not bad."
Nodding she remained quiet for a minute unable to come up with anything else to say since she could feel him watching her intently making her nervous. 'How does he keep doing that!' she thought, feeling her heart racing. "What?" she said closing her book lifting her head up in annoyance.
Looking away he lifted his knees up resting his elbows on them. "Was just wondering what you were doing out here."
"Well, it's a nice weather today so I figured it couldn't hurt to do some reading." she said lifting her book up without thinking.
Seeing the slow smirk appear on his face as his red eyes flickered from her to the book he simply nodded.
"W-what?" she asked quickly, pressing the book against her chest, and covering it with her hands.
"Nothing. What, can't I just sit here and enjoy the view?" he said rubbing his mouth.
"Hmm." Giving him a doubtful look, she looked towards the other students in front of her who looked to be whispering amongst each other. "Sitting here with me might give people the wrong idea." she said, nodding towards them.
"Yeah? And who says I give a shit." He said looking back at her.
Shrugging her shoulders, she looked down and started playing with her finger pads. "I-I don't know. Maybe your fan club might not necessarily like it."
"Fan club? The fuck is that?" he said squinting his eyes in annoyance.
Regretting what she said she quickly tried to change the subject. "So, are you ready for the math test in a couple days?"
Scoffing he looked back to where some of the other students were. "Of course I am. I'm always ready. Besides, that shit's easy if you just pay attention." He smirked. "Which of course I know you don't."
"Hey! Yes I do!" she said, turning sideways to glare at him.
"If you say so round-face." He chuckled. "I know those morons asked for my help to study after this."
"Oh?" she smiled. "Well, that's nice of you. And here I thought Bakugo didn't do nice."
"Tch." Feeling his cheeks warm he tried to hide it by glaring at her. "I can be fuckin nice when I want to."
Looking away she tried to keep her laughter in. "Of course."
"But if…you need any help…" he mumbled looking down at his shoes.
"Huh?" Surprised, she tilted her head. "Wait, are you offering?"
Snapping his head in her direction he frowned. "Don't fuckin act so surprised! Or did you forget we studied together before?" he argued.
"Uhm…y-yeah but I didn't know that the offer still stood." She said feeling happy about it.
"Why wouldn't it? Unless your ass doesn't want my help then I don't care." He said getting up.
"Wait." Grabbing the sleeve of his shirt she accidentally yanked him down too hard causing him to stumble back down next to her and nearly headbutting her.
"The hell round-face!" he said moving his head away just in time as his eyes grew and felt his breathing stop at how closer her face was to his.
"Sorry." She sheepishly grinned immediately releasing her grip and watching him lean away. "I-I appreciate the offer and if I need any help, I'll let you know, it's just I already have plans today to study with the others."
"It's fine." He said, still staring at her until his phone started ringing. "What now?" Looking at the caller id he lifted his finger to tell her to hang on. "Hello…yeah…no it's fine that's what it's for…yeah I'll be there so just let him know…"
Puzzle Uraraka tried not to be rude and listen in on his conversation, but he made it hard when every once in a while, he would steal a glance at her.
"Yeah, she is. Hah? fine."
Handing her the phone Uraraka stared at it for a minute not sure what to do. "For me?!"
"Obviously." he said rolling his eyes and placing it in her open palm.
Slowly lifting the device to her ear, Uraraka gave him a suspicious look before clearing her throat. "H-hello?"
"Ochaco sweetheart!"
Widening her eyes, she gawked back at a smirking Bakugo. "MOM?!"
"It's good to hear you!"
"Y-yeah I mean we just talked this morning but…w-why-why are you…"
"Why am I what sweety?"
She quickly looked back at the blond who lifted a curious brow waiting for her to continue.
"Why are you calling Bakugos phone?!"
"Oh that? Remember when he and Kirishima helped your father and I out last year. Well, we always like to keep contact information for the people working with us."
"Yeah, no I get that but-"
"Ok I have to go now sweety but let him know everything will be ready for him."
"Huh?"
"Ok Ochaco I'll talk to you later sweetheart. I love you."
"yeah, I love you too. Bye." she said, handing the phone back to him. "She said to tell you everything will be ready for you…"
Nodding he looked through his phone.
"Bakugo?"
"Yeah?"
"Why is my mom calling you?"
Putting his phone away he clicked his tongue looking to the front. "She was just making sure that Kirishima and I were coming down there this weekend."
"Coming down for what?"
"To help out with some of the new people that your mom and Ichiro hired."
"What do you mean?" she asked, still confused, but it did remind her of something her and Jiro found on his computer.
"Round-face-"
"Wait you're still helping out?" She said furrowing her brows as he kept his eyes forward.
"It's no big deal. So just leave it."
"Bakugo you really don't have to-"
"Oi I was the one that offered remember, so I don't mind."
"Yeah, but it'll take a lot of your time and-"
"So what? It's fine. Why do you not want me to?' he said giving her a sideways look. "Because I promised them I would. So just drop it already."
At a loss for words Uraraka shook her head. She had been helping out as much as she could during the last few months with school and then training with Hawks, and even she found it difficult at times so she felt bad about the fact that he was still helping when he didn't need to and instead needed to focus on his goal since this was their last year and she didn't want her personal life to interfere with it.
"You need to get out of that head of yours."
"Huh?" Snapping her head in his direction she saw him watching her with a knowing look.
"Every time you start overthinking things too much you tend to get lost in in your own head space cadet." He said flicking her on the forehead. "Stop it."
"I do not." she mumbled rubbing her forehead.
"Anyways so what fan club are you talking about?" he asked, receiving a scowl from her. "Or would you rather me ask about what kind of dirty book you're reading now?"
"It's not-" Opening her mouth, she quickly covered her face. "A-a fan club is basically the girls you're seeing over there." she motioned towards a group letting his eyes follow.
"Oh." He said frowning. "Well, that's stupid."
"Why?" she said dropping her hands.
"Because it is. They should be doing something more productive with their time."
"Well, I guess some people don't mind." She said while Bakugo watched her from the corner of his eyes. "You know you haven't told me how Mr. Aizawa was alright with you going out for your birthday." She smiled. "Unless that was a lie."
Proudly grinning he shook his head. "Not it was true. And like I said before…he owed me a favor."
"Why?"
"Well…I can't go into detail, but I heard him on the phone the other day with someone and I'm pretty sure it was Ms. Joke."
"What?!" she accidentally said too loud covering her mouth and making him chuckle.
"Yeah. But don't say anything. I still like messing with the guy about it."
"I won't. It's just-" Feeling her phone vibrate she quickly picked it up.
Riku: Hey cat girl! Glad you guys made it back and looking forward to seeing you again sometime. ?
Smiling at the fact that she was relieved that he didn't sound pushy but just friendly, she immediately stiffened when she saw Bakugo abruptly getting to his feet.
"Alright I'll see ya later cheeks." He said over his shoulder while he continued on his run.
"See ya." she quietly said, staring after him.
