AN: Hey guys hope you've been enjoying this so far. This chapter was a little interesting to write but it had to be done. You'll see why later.

Sitting outside on one of the benches outside the stadium, Uraraka pulled her knees up to her chin having left shortly after the final match and before anyone else. Leaning her chin on her knees Uraraka continued to watch the flock of people slowly leaving the grounds, trying to savor the time alone she still had.
She still kept playing the last few hours over and over again in her head. But it didn't matter how many times she thought about it…nothing seemed to make sense.
She guessed that a part of her was still in denial about what happened.
Three hours earlier…
Slouching down on her seat next to Deku and Tsu, she couldn't help but feel miserable at what had happened only a an hour ago. She desperately tried to find out who could've been there, but it didn't matter how much she searched she couldn't find anyone. Once she went back to the stairs Todoroki was also gone. 'Great. Maybe I should just go and rest like Recovery Girl said, because I'm obviously hallucinating because there's no way Todoroki did what he did…right?'
Looking around at some of the vacant seats still available she kept her eyes on anyone who started walking in to watch the next match, until Kaminari, Jirou and Kirishima came to take their seats, with the latter keeping his gaze forward.
"Kirishima-" she quietly began.
"Hey where were you guys?" Sero furrowed his brows. "Oh, sorry Uraraka I didn't mean to interrupt."
Giving him a forced smile, she shook her head. "It's ok."
"Well Jirou and I went to grab more snacks. Here want some?"
"Hey Ochaco, are you alright?" Tsu asked watching her curiously. "Did Recovery girl give you the ok?"
"I guess I'm still feeling some side effects, but she said I should start to feel better soon." She tried to give a reassuring smile, but she knew she wouldn't be able to keep it.
"Let us know if you need anything ok." Deku smiled before looking around. "Hey, has anyone seen Todoroki?"
"I believe last I saw him he was on his way to check on Uraraka." Iida said giving her a quick glance. "But he's match with Bakugo is coming up so he should be getting ready as we speak."
"By the way has anyone seen Bakubro? I haven't' seen him in a while." Sero asked.
"He should be getting ready too." Kirishima said with a blank look and concern in his voice that made Urarakas stomach drop.
"I wonder how that will go." Mineta said leaning forward in his chair as both boys started making their way up the stairs now. "Bakugo didn't seem like he was in a very good mood when I saw him earlier."
"Yeah, but that's what you would call normal for him." Hagakure pointed out.
"Yeah, let's just hope they leave this place in one piece." Kaminari said next to Kirishima who continued to see his hot-tempered friend now standing in front of Todoroki with an unreadable expression.
By looking at him Uraraka could tell that Bakugo wasn't his usual self, simply staring back at Todoroki with smoke already coming from his clenched and shaking hands.
"Is everything alright?" Mina whispered to him.
"Not sure." Kirishima said his eyes flickering to Uraraka a few seats in front of him as she stared back, eyes widening and covering her mouth.
"No…"
"Like Kaminari said, let's hope everyone comes out of this unharmed."
"AND NOW FOR THE 2ND TO LAST MATCH, TWO OF THE HERO COURSE STUDENTS SHOTO TODOROKI VS OUR SUPRISNGLY CALM KATSUKI BAKUGO!"
Unable to remove her eyes from the current fight going on, Uraraka felt her nerves picking up every second that went by. The moment Present Mic gave them the go-ahead Bakugo didn't waste time launching himself into the air and targeting Todoroki relentlessly while the other boy continued to dodge his attacks by using both sides of his quirks to defend and attack.
You could tell just by watching this fight how much both have improved as well, but at this moment it seemed like neither of them cared about that and just wanted to take the other out.
"Shouldn't they stop this?!" Mineta covered his face after a while and another blow shook the whole arena. "They look like they want to kill each other out there!"
"I must agree. This has gone too far." Iida said folding his arms. "At this rate they'll burn down the arena!"
"Kacchan…Todoroki…" Deku quietly said watching the two boys continuing to fight without taking a moments breath.
'WHOA LOOKS LIKE NO ONE'S WILLING TO SURRENDER! THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FROM THE HERO COURSE!" Swiftly covering the microphone Present Mic turn to glance at a silent Eraserhead. "What do you think? Should we stop this?"
"No." shaking his head Mr. Aizawa continued to stare down at his students with a deep frown. "Those two have been at each other's throats, let them work it out. If it gets any worse, then we'll step in."
"You sure?" Present Mic asked just as another large explosion was heard.
Panting Todoroki narrowed his eyes at the sight of an equally tired Bakugo.
"Come on… you Icy hot bastard…is that…all you've got?" Bakugo snarled wiping blood from his cheek. There was no way in hell he was going to let this bastard win. He felt his blood boiling just at the sight of one of his supposed friends. One of the few people he knew would have his back no matter what, and he knew that he had no right to be this angry but right now he felt like that was all he had left.
Taking a shaky step sideways Bakugo saw Todoroki build up his ice and fire while he prepared himself, palms ready. He wasn't going to lose, not this time. Feeling himself shake with all the rage that was building with every second, he felt like a volcano about ready to explode until he saw Todoroki take a quick glimpse towards the stands where Uraraka was still sitting watching with her hands over her mouth. And that was the moment he felt himself burst with fury. "WHAT THE HELL YOU'RE LOOKING AT?! HUH?! KEEP YOUR EYES ON ME YOU HALF AND HALF BASTARD!"
Jolting his head in Bakugo's direction Todoroki's eyes widened as he saw the blond shoot towards him.
"HOWITZER IMPACT!"
"FLASHFIRE-FIST PHOSPHOR!"
BOOM!
"Aaaah!" Covering their faces from the impact, everyone squinted their eyes with some standing to see what happened through all the dust.
"WHAT'S GOING ON? I CAN'T SEE!" Present Mic shouted.
Slowly blinking his eyes open, Bakugo slowly lifted himself up gritting his teeth at the pain in his arm surprised that he could even still stand. "Oi…you half and half bastard…I'm not finished with you…yet…" he winced clutching his arm seeing the dust settle as Todoroki slowly tried to get to his feet stumbling at first before his eyes closed and he feel to the ground unmoving.
"No…I'm not done, you hear me!" Bakugo shouted desperately trying to take a few more steps before his legs finally gave out. "I'm not-" he cut himself off barely able to muster anything else from exhaustion and the pain in his arm and chest. "I can't…"
"SO THAT'S IT FOLKS! KATSUKI BAKUGO WILL BE MOVING ON TO THE FINAL ROUND!"
"Man, that was brutal. I'd hate to be the one facing Bakubro next." Kaminari said letting go of a breath he didn't know he was holding as he sat back down. "Good luck on the final match Midoriya."
Gulping down hard Deku nervously chuckled as Jirou smacked Kaminari with her earphone jacks. "Erm…thanks Kaminari. I guess…? I'll just go check on Todoroki and Bakugo before the next match."
Now…
After the last match she tried to look for him, thinking that maybe he was with Recovery Girl but found out that he refused any help from her, but eventually after some scolding from Mr. Aizawa he allowed Recovery Girl to help him just enough to stand before leaving. Which left her unable to find him at the moment.
By the time she had left the infirmary Todoroki was still unconscious but was reassured by Recovery girl that he should be in tip top shape before the end of the day.
She remembered Present Mics booming voice through the speakers as he announced the winner.
"AND THIS CONCLUDES THIS YEARS SPORTS FESTIVAL! THE WINNER OF THE THIRD YEAR SPORTS FESTIVAL IS FROM CLASS-A IZUKO MIDORIYA!"
Smiling at the fond memory of one of her best friends winning first place and the look on his flustered face as both Principal Nezu and All Might congratulated him awarding him his 1st place medal along with 2nd place for Bakugo who quietly accepted it this time much to everyone's surprise and 3rd place being received by Todoroki, who couldn't be there at the time.
"Uraraka?"
Turning her head halfway she could see a worried Shinso approaching. "Hey Shinso."
"What are you doing out here?"
Giving a weak smile she gestured to the people passing by. "Was just thinking about how nice and quiet it's out here despite so many people leaving."
"Oh." Nodding Shinso took a seat next to her. "Everything ok?"
Looking down at her hands she gave a dry laugh. "To tell you the truth I'm not sure. Where is everyone?"
Noticing the change of subject Shinso didn't press her knowing that if she wanted to talk about something that's bothering her then she would, but he wouldn't force her. "They are on their way back to the dorms and are thinking about doing something later tonight to celebrate before our week-long break tomorrow."
"Oh."
Pressing his lips together Shinso swiftly got to his feet facing her. "Uraraka, remember what you told me before that we're friends, so if something's ever bothering you or you need someone to talk to, I'm here. I've got your back."
Grateful, she smiled at him getting to her feet too. "Thanks Shinso."
"Now come on if you rather not be around everyone right now, let's head back before the place gets too loud."
X
"Yo! Bakubro!" Kirishima grinned lifting up his arms as the blond stepped out of his bathroom drying his wet hair with a towel around his waist.
Not bothering to acknowledge his presence Bakugo quickly went to grab a pair of workout shorts, black tank top and boxers before slamming his bathroom door shut again.
"Ok that didn't go so well…" Kirishima mumbled to himself and waited until his friend came back out watching closely as he shuffled around his room digging through his drawers and throwing random clothes in his bag for the break. He knew his buddy wasn't doing great especially after almost running into him as Bakugo stomped out of the building supposedly intending to check on Uraraka. He remembered asking him what was wrong with Bakugos only reply being that 'she's with him.' So, it didn't take Kirishima long to figure it out.
"Oh, come on man! You're not even gonna yell at me for being in your room?" Crossing his arms Kirishima continued to patiently stare at him before letting out an annoyed huff. "Dude come on talk to me!"
"Leave."
Lifting his eyebrows Kirishima watched him grab his gym bag next heading for the door. "You're training now? Aren't you tired? and we were all going to go out to celebrate." He jogged to catch up to him down the hall. "Alright fine, then let me come with."
"No."
Grinning Kirishima saw Bakugo lifting his palm up to his hair and with a small explosion his hair dried up bouncing up to its usual spikes. "Never get tired of that and so not fair!"
"JUST LEAVE!" Bakugo snapped making Kirishima halt. "I don't need anyone, and I definitely don't need anyone slowing me down!"
Frowning Kirishima stared back at him determined to make him talk so he could try and help. "Is this about losing to Midoriya? Or is this about-"
"Don't! And no this has nothing to do with that nerd! This has to do with me wanting some fuckin time away from shitheads like you who didn't even make it to the finals!"
"Baku-"
"NO! JUST LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE KIRISHIMA!" Pushing past him, Bakugo continued stomping down the hall opting to slam the stairway door open instead of waiting for the elevator leaving a deflated Kirishima behind.
Kirishima tried not to let those words get to him he really tried not to, but he wouldn't lie and say that sometimes he still thought about the difference between him and some of his other classmates.
Having heard some of the commotion Uraraka quietly cracked her door open seeing a saddened Kirishima standing there alone. "Kirishima?"
Startled out of his thoughts the red head turned his head with a forced smile. "H-hey! Sorry we didn't mean to be so loud."
"Are you ok?"
"Yeah…" Rubbing his neck she could see the saddened look reappearing even though he tried to hide it. Out of the whole class she could honestly say that both her and Kirishima wore their emotions on their sleeves and always found it difficult to hide it. "…I know he didn't mean it, it's just..." clearing his throat the red head turned back to her. "Don't worry, I'll be fine."
Watching him get into the elevator she simply nodded.
X
"Damn it!" Hissing from the pain in his hands Bakugo continued to punch the bag feeling his lungs burning from all the exhaustion but refusing to stop afraid that if he so much as slow down he would show weakness and he still had so much left-over rage he desperately wanted to get out.
He felt like screaming or blowing everything up to try and get rid of the unpleasant feeling that continued to run marathons all the way from his chest down to his stomach.
Everytime he closed his eyes he couldn't stop picturing it. The moment he saw them by the stairs felt like he was being kicked in the gut and stabbed in the heart nonstop at the same time. Gritting his teeth, he felt his breathing pick up punching the bag harder and harder until finally it hit the wall with a loud THUD exploding into pieces unaware that he used his quirk.
Lifting his eyes to the ceiling he wiped away some of his sweat moving over to the next one and starting again.
"How many is that already?"
Grabbing the bag with both hands to stop it from moving, he stilled at the familiar voice keeping his eyes on the punching bag.
"You know what Mr. Aizawa will say once he sees all this." She quietly said closing the gym doors behind her.
"Get out."
Flinching at his dangerous and cold tone, Uraraka took a deep breath lifting her chin up. "No. Bakugo we need to talk."
Choosing to ignore her he continued to hit the bag even harder as she approached.
"Can you just stop for a second? I've been looking for you."
Swiftly turning on his heels when she got closer, he stomped towards his gym bag.
"Wait could you-" Grabbing his arm by instinct she was startled when he yanked his arm free the minute her hands touched him as if she burned him.
"Don't fuckin touch me." He gave her the coldest look she's seen directed at her making her take a small step back to give him some space.
"We need to talk."
"Fuck off."
"Bakugo!"
"There's nothing for us to fuckin talk about!" he lifted his hands on either side of him.
"Yes there is!"
"Dude!" Kaminari whisper shouted before his mouth was covered by both Kirishima and Mina who were also listening in from outside the gym doors. Having been on their way to get ready for the dinner celebration and in one last ditch effort to try and convince some of their friends to join them, they 'accidently' happened to stumble upon all the yelling coming from behind this very door.
"I don't think we should be listening to this."
"Hush Kiri!" Mina whispered standing on her tip toes to try and get a better look. "We're doing this for them!"
"How?"
"Because that way we can still help them even if they don't know that we know."
"Exactly!" Mina patted Kaminari shoulder approvingly.
"What?" Kirishima frowned.
"Shh." Mina placed her hand over his mouth. "I can't hear!"
Smirking in anger he turned his gaze down towards his bag and lifting his hand up to stop her knowing it was best for him to leave before he let his anger get the better of him and say something he'll regret, and she was the last person he needed to see at the moment. "Look I really just need to get out of here right now."
"Could you stop being so stubborn right now and listen to me!"
"Oh, I'm being stubborn?!"
"Yes!"
He stared at her incredulously like she had just grown a second head. "You're the one that's been keeping me at bay! You're the one that…" he clenched his jaw.
"Look I came here to talk about what happened."
"ALRIGHT FINE! Tell me then! Tell me how it was being with him huh?!" he said, raising his voice staring at her with such anger and pain in his eyes that she felt something inside her shatter. "Tell me what it was like…kissing him?"
"It's not like that." She said feeling her voice crack.
"It's not?! Then fuckin tell me what it's like! Because- and correct me if I'm fuckin wrong here…" he said with a bitter chuckle. "You were the one who said that there was nothing fuckin going on between the two of you at the beginning of this damn day! And I believed you Uraraka! Come to find out that's not even true!" Running his hands through his hair and pulling at his roots he saw her stay quiet. "What? You're suddenly quite now. Come on you said you wanted to talk about it so let's fuckin talk!"
Feeling the anger rise to her cheeks Uraraka narrowed her eyes. "And I do! There's nothing going on between him and I. I didn't lie about that!- besides we aren't together Bakugo remember! There's no reason for-" The moment those words left her mouth she immediately regretted it and wished she could quickly take them back. "Wait that's not what I-"
Smirking he looked away feeling like he just got slapped in the face. "No, you know what you're right. You're absolutely right. I have no fuckin right to know what it is you do. I have no right whatsoever! It's not your fault that you're all I thought about when I was gone, not your fault that I did everything everything I fuckin could to get back to you just to even have you smiling at me the way you do!"
Tears started to gather in his eyes as he stared at her with so much pain she wished she could just reach out to him.
"And as fucked up as that sounds… I would stare at your picture every damn night before I fell asleep and every single morning when I woke up because I knew it would help me through the day. And I raced my sorry ass all the way back here just to watch you…"
Feeling a tear streaming down her face she looked down not wanting to see the crestfallen look in his red eyes.
"You say that there's nothing -then tell me…why didn't you stop it?" he said stepping in front of her pleadingly. "Tell me."
"I…" Closing her eyes she thought about telling him the truth but what could she say? That she was surprised?
Nodding his head at her silence he took a few steps away. "Like I said it's not your fault, it's mine."
"What?"
"I shouldn't have left, maybe then-"
"No! Look I don't know what else I can do to make you understand that I don't feel that way about him! It was just…"
"A kiss? Why is it so hard to say huh?! You kissed Todoroki!" he spat, a hard edge to his voice.
"WHAAAA…!" Felling his jaw hit the ground Kaminari suddenly got shushed by Mina and Kirishima both with the same expression.
Trying to take a calm breath which got stuck in her throat at the distraught look on his face she hesitated a moment. What was she supposed to say? That he caught her off guard? That he was the one that kissed her? And that second of hesitation was a moment too long for him.
"You know what, I think we're done here." Bakugo said walking over and lifting his gym bag.
"Wait, what?"
"I'm done!" Keeping his back to her he took a shaky breath already hating himself for it but knew that at the moment this was better, especially for her. "I'm done Uraraka." He heard himself saying the words pausing to stare at her teary eyes. "Maybe it was my fault for thinking that once I got back everything would stay the same and we could pick up where we left off. Now I get why people say that shit like this doesn't happen for people like us."
"So what? All of your 'supposed feelings for me' from before suddenly changed from one moment to the next because of a kiss?" she asked, feeling her anger once again and right now preferring that over self-pity.
"Oi, don't even for a second doubt anything I feel for you!"
"Well if you're so quick to throw it away without barely starting, over something like that!"
"Alright. How the hell would you feel if I kissed someone else?" he asked, trying to catch her wandering gaze as she started to walk off.
"How would I know?! Maybe you have!" she blurted remembering what she found in his room.
"No, I haven't!" he furrowed his brows in anger. "I've never laid a fuckin finger on another girl! Why the hell would I when…" 'I have you.' He thought but stopped himself, he took a calm breath. "Look, I just need some time-"
"Time huh…you keep saying that."
"Yes! Do you think it was easy for me to see you with him?"
"Alright, Fine I'll give you all the time in the world Bakugo." She said making a bee line for the door while he was hot on her trail. "But just leave Kirishima and the others out of this, they don't deserve any of your dumb attitude!
"What?"
"You heard me! I don't know why you feel the need to suddenly lash out on your friends who are only trying to help you!"
"This has nothing to do with those shitheads!"
"Ouch."
"Hey!" Kaminari and Kirishima both frowned feeling completely targeted.
"You know I came here wanting to explain things to you and make you understand that he's just a friend! But I can't do that with someone who clearly doesn't even want to listen."
"Didn't look like just a friend to me." His voice hardened as he spoke.
"I was going to talk to him about what happened, but I can't because you knocked him unconscious!"
"What the hell did you expect me to do!"
"Todoroki's one of your closest friends!"
"He's not my damn friend anymore. He fuckin kissed you Uraraka! And what's worse you kissed him back!"
"No I-"
"I can't even look at you without seeing him!" Feeling his lips tremble he saw the tears fall down her cheeks. He wanted so so badly to just make this pain go away and hold her, but he didn't know how at the moment when all he felt was betrayal.
"I thought…"
"You thought what?" he asked, feeling his heart clench.
Shaking her head, she quickly wiped her face. "Doesn't matter… you already made up your mind."
"I just…look maybe you were right before I don't know…" He said running a frustrated hand through his hair already knowing that the last thing he truly wanted just came out as he exhaled loudly. "Maybe this wasn't meant to be…maybe we should just stay friends like you said."
"Is that what you want?" she asked as he averted his gaze, now feeling all the pieces shatter in her chest and drop to her stomach. Trying her best to keep her voice steady and not wanting to give him the satisfaction of knowing how hurt she was at his words; she knew she had to get out of there before her tears took over, knowing he didn't care. "You know what, I should've known this was a mistake from the beginning..." Speed walking to the door she could feel his silence as she pushed the door open unaware of Mina, Kirishima and Kaminari barely dodging getting hit in the process.
Covering her mouth Mina continued to quietly sob at what they heard as Kirishima wrapped her in a hug. "Ochaco…"
"Guys…" Kaminari wiped a tear from his eye as he peeked through the glass.
Keeping his eyes down shadowed by his bangs, Bakugo barely managed two steps before collapsing to the floor slumped to his knees. He had never felt this much pain. How was this ok? How was it possible to feel this much pain? Finally feeling all the exhaustion catch up to him as well as possibly having lost the girl he wanted most in the world, he didn't care anymore and just let tears drop down to his knees.
X
"Bakugo!" Kirishima shouted over his shoulder leaning with his back against the door slouched on the ground for half an hour already. "Come on man let me in."
After what happened at the gym earlier, they made sure they weren't seen when Bakugo finally decided to quietly head to his room and has been cooped up there ever since. Kirishima knew that he was already pushing his limits with the blond today but wouldn't feel right to not at least try to help his best friend. Even if he wasn't wanted at the moment. "Ba…ku…go. -Bakugo!
"Man, I'm not leaving until you let me in."
Taking a giant leap, he pulled out a bobby pin Kaminari gave him and tried his skills at unlocking the door hoping that what Kaminari thought him would work. Barley sticking it into the doorknob when it immediately swung open. "Well, what the ya know… the door was already unlocked." He sheepishly chucked to himself.
Squinting his eyes at the darkened room, he tried to make out anything from what little light came through the opened door. "Ok…" Quietly closing the door after himself, Kirishima saw him sitting against the far wall with his knees up and head down looking at something in his hand. "Not digging the light huh?" He tried to lighten the mood which apparently didn't work as he took a seat on the left of him on the floor. "Redecorating?" he asked, even in the dark he could see the usual organized and spotless room a complete mess now.
Never having seen this sight of him Kirishima didn't know if he could even help now. Deciding to give him a few minutes until he heard him sniffling.
"Look I know you don't want to talk to me, and I know you don't want to tell me what happened-"
"Stop with the bullshit, you already know." He quietly mumbled.
"Eh?" Squinting his eyes closed Kirishima gave him an apologetic grin. "You knew."
"You fuckers are the worst at hiding."
Exhaling loudly Kirishima didn't ignore the raspy tone in Bakugos voice. "So wanna talk about it?"
Watching Bakugo shaking his head in the dark, the red head just continued to wait patiently allowing him as much time as he needed while watching the sadness that clouded his features.
"I lost her Kirishima…"
"Hey don't say that man, this could just be a bump in the road." Kirishima said, watching Bakugo running his thumb on the dog tag with a crestfallen look and tears lining the edges of his eyes. "Do you honestly see yourself just being friends? Are you even ok with it?"
"Course I'm fuckin not. I could never just be friends with her, not with her…. But I'm not stupid. I know what I saw, and I know that I don't want to be the asshole to stand in the way of her happiness."
"But she already told you she didn't feel that way for him, right?"
Scoffing Bakugo continued to silently stare at the necklace in his hand for a few minutes before placing his head in his hands. "Why does this shit fuckin hurt so much? After everything I just want to be fuckin selfish and be with her! But this damn pain in my chest won't go away Kirishima and it doesn't matter what the hell I do, I can't get that damn picture out of my god damn head! I can't. and part of me knows that I'm being unreasonable… she was right we're not together but…"
"Why Todoroki?" Kirishima finished seeing Bakugo slowly nod.
"I've had my suspicions for a while, but thinking that and seeing it…"
Feeling his own heart break at the desperate and defeated look on his face Kirishima tilted his head back staring at the ceiling. "No, I get it man. We've all been there." Exhaling loudly, he kept his gaze upwards knowing Bakugo was watching him carefully. "Never really told anyone this, but back in grade school when my quirk first manifested, I had this huge crush on this girl at school who apparently liked me back. But once this other kid's quirk manifested which turned out to be to generate lava and turn his body into volcanic rock, she left me and didn't turn back once."
Hearing Bakugo grunt Kirishima sheepishly grinned. "Yeah, I guess she had a type. Kids can be pretty mean when they're that age. But not gonna lie that crap hurt like hell. So on my way home…of course here I am balling my eyes out, I saw a group of girls playing when one of them noticed that I wasn't doing well and ran up to me." Smiling Kirishima remembered that fond day easily. "The little girl came up to me and asked me why I was crying. I was so mean to her telling her to mind her business and that all girls were stupid, but she didn't care knowing I was just upset. She just smiled and told me that sometimes we have to fall down because maybe there is something down there that you're supposed to find."
Frowning Bakugo continued to watch the goofy smile on Kirishima's face grow until he turned back to look at him. "I don't think that she even remembers this, since this was way before we were in middle school together, but what Mina said to me that day stuck with me. And I'm here to tell you the same."
"Take all the time in the world dude, there's no rush. I'm honestly rutting for the two of you. Uraraka is like a sister to me and if she were to ask, I would tell her the same thing. Maybe things will work out or maybe they won't. and if they don't then maybe you'll find someone else down the road."
"That's the thing… I don't want someone else."
Grinning Kirishima tried to hide the small smile threatening to creep out knowing his suspicions from last year to be correct. "Have you ever figured out the answer to the question I asked before you left last school year? About why you think that is?"
"Doesn't matter anymore." With a sideways look Bakugo placed his forehead down on his arms. "You know back then when I…got hurt." Bakugo said remembering when he just about died fighting Shigaraki. "I feel like so many things came rushing through my mind and the one thing that I regrated was never having the chance to open up to her and tell her how she made me feel…even if it scared me to admit it to myself."
"Don't worry, even the best relationships aren't always perfect. Even mina and I have our days, but if that person means a lot, then you will put in the effort and make it work and learn together." Puffing out a loud breath of air Kirishima slapped his hand on Bakugos shoulders. "Though day for you huh, you got kicked in the balls- which sorry by the way, and then this happened..."
"I honestly thought she'd try and do that again back there…"
Hearing Bakugo chuckle Kirishima felt a little better. "What did you do by the way for sweet Uraraka to do that?"
Feeling himself smirking at the look on her face Bakugo slowly lifted his head up. "Don't worry about it. But that shit hurt like hell. Thought I had to go look for new ones."
Laughing Kirishima shook his head. "Hey, you feel like coming out with us tonight?"
"Nah, I'm staying, leaving early tomorrow." Bakugo said quickly putting the necklace back on and turning to his friend. "By the way, she was right… I shouldn't have said that to you earlier… and thanks for..."
Smiling Kirishima went to stand up. "Don't worry about it man that's what best bros are for."
X
Opting to remain in her room the rest of the night knowing that everyone was out celebrating when all she wanted to do was just stay curled up in bed. As the tears started to dry and eyelids felt heavy, she finally let the exhaustion of the day's events drag her off to sleep.
"Ochaco Uraraka…"
"Isn't she gorgeous?" a male voice said letting his eyes roam her face and body. "You should let me just take her."
"I couldn't care less what you do. But Toga told you to wait…didn't she Kage?" another voice giggled. "As for me…I'm counting down the days."
"For what?"
"For everyone to die…" The voice said moving some of Uraraka's hair out of her face. "Especially them..."
Gasping and jolting out of bed Uraraka frantically let her eyes scan her room, panting heavily and sweat clinging onto her as she continued to whimper. She could've sworn she felt someone watching here again but realized it must've all been in her head since no one was there.
Covering her face with her hands she felt the familiar burning in her eyes as the tears started to pick up again. Dragging her eyes to her alarm she saw that it was 1:45 and forced herself to try and go back to bed but it didn't matter what she did she couldn't. Throwing the covers aside she quickly changed into a pair of workout shorts and top hoping that a little run would help, even though she knew in her chest that the heaviness within wouldn't be lifted.
