(A/N): Hey Guys! So, sorry for not updating recently, but I've been busy with school and therapy, plus I've recently been taking part in SeptNoWriMo. I wrote a few chapters today at school, including the major plot twist one. Woo!

Leo

Shari was smart enough to be the one to pick me up from the train station, and I was glad that since we had decided to take the Knight Bus ahead of time, we didn't have to apparate home.

However, as we reached the grounds of the Ellwood estate, I was subject to something akin to it.

Two baby vamps hugging me.

"We missed you!" Jo exclaimed in my ear, and I rolled my eyes.

"Impossible." I said simply. "How could you ever get sick of these guys?" I gestured to my father and Lisbet as they appeared in front of me.

"Son." Was all my father said, tone stiff, before grabbing the twins and fleeing.

"Welcome back Leo!" Lisbet cried, pulling me into an embrace before I had time to chew her out.

"He still hates me?" I asked in a whisper, and Shari's eyes grew pained as her hand dropped onto my shoulder.

"He doesn't hate you Leo. He's just worried about you, we all are." My head drooped, and Lisbet draped her arm over my shoulder.

"Don't think I've forgotten about your betrayals Lisbet." I said, only half-serious at this point, and her smile dropped into a pout.

"Leo-" I cut her off with a wave of my hand and started towards the house.

"Leo..." Shari said, easily having caught up to me, and I shook my head. "Leo!" She hissed, spinning me around and pinning me to the wall.

"...I'm listening." I muttered, but she didn't laugh.

"There's a war coming, Leo. Sooner than you think. We need to stick together." She released me. "You need to put your quarrel with Lisbet aside, and help us." Reluctantly I nodded.

"Yeah. I have to look after my family."

This chapter had had small edits made to it on 31/12/22 - I changed it so I say that Shari and Leo planned to take the Knight Bus ahead of time, instead of just saying that they didn't have to apparate, because I originally said that because of my confusing back and forth about whether or not Shari has magic (which she does).
