"You had a cuddle session with someone else?" I asked, amused, and Leo rolled his eyes, though he put no power behind it.

"Yes. And the person gave me some great advice." He paused for a second, staring at me rather pointedly, and I stared back. "Come on Brooke, you're smarter than this." It took me a second, then my eyes widened as it dawned on me.

"Greygorry... has a kid?" I asked incredulously, and Leo grinned, like he knew something I didn't.

"Not only that. Think about it Brooke... Greygorry's a full-" He cut himself off, glancing at the others before gesturing to himself. "Yeah, which means, his kid would be half-" He repeated the movement, cocking an eyebrow at me. "How many half... are out there that you know of?" I shrugged weakly, hating how stupid this littler guessing game was making me feel.

"Just you... and, well, Dahrya-" I cut myself off, freezing , and Leo pumped his fist in the air.

"And she finally gets it." He leaned down, cupping my face and kissing me passionately. "My beauty and brains." He murmured, wearing a bright smile, though I could tell something was troubling him.

"So... You had a cuddle session with Dahrya's dad? How does she feel about that?" Leo winced, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.

"Well, I may not have told her yet..." He sucked in a quiet breath. "Plus... She doesn't exactly know he's her father." My eyebrows shot up.

"What, and Greygorry just blabbed to you that the girl you're bonding with is his daughter?" Leo winced again.

"Well... Greygorry may or may not also be completely clueless on the subject." My eyebrows furrowed.

"So, what, you put this together from them looking alike?" Leo shook his head instantly, and I felt relieved.

"I put it together from the fact they both share familiar scent markers with each other." He jabbed himself in the chest with his thumb. "Better than a redneck matchmaker, I am." Aria snorted in amusement.

"You're a pureblood. Aren't you guys just as bad for that sort of thing?" Farryse asked gently, and Leo shrugged.

"Most pureblood families occasionally arrange for two distant- or not so distant- relatives to marry in order to purify the blood line. But since my mother kicked me out and I'm practically living muggleborn now, I don't have to worry about my mother shipping me off to marry some lonely, old, mysteriously single aunt." He shuddered at the thought, slipping an arm around my waist.

"Are we just going to ignore the fact that your boyfriend apparently snuggled with a guy old enough to be his father?" Ezra questioned, and I glanced to Leo, deciding to let him field this one.

"Technically, he's actually old enough to be my... fifteen times great grandfather... or something like that." He shrugged, and I couldn't help but laugh as the others gaped at him.

"My boyfriend has a thing for older men." I teased, and he smirked down at me.

"And women." He reminded me, and I rolled my eyes.

"Don't worry about the whole 'he's old enough to be my great grandfather' thing, Ezra..." I glanced at Leo. "How did you put it again?" I watched him take over.

"I was recovering from the symptoms of mind control, and I was highly suggestible. And angry. Greygorry needed to calm me down because I tried to strangle him, and apparently the best way to calm down a raging..." He glanced in my direction. "Me, is to squish them. Me. So, yeah. I had very little control over my actions, and Greygorry was just trying to help." Aria nodded slowly.

"So... What you're basically telling me is... We're about to go see a very, very, very old- like, ancient- man get his butt kicked by his daughter?" Leo grinned.

"I don't think Greygorry's going to go down as easily as you think."
