(A/N): Hey Guys! I know this chapters been written for a pretty long time, before the last anniversary (so, prior to June 2014) and probably a while before that. Certain chapters preceding this one have been written since though, which is why I haven't uploaded it until now. It is rather short though, so... sorry about that.

Disclaimer: I own nothing you recognize.

Elaine

After Leo didn't come out of the bathroom for five minutes, we decided it would be better if we went down to the common room to give them some privacy. Which was probably a good thing, considering it was over an hour before they came down, and the common room had almost emptied.

Brooke immediately rushed up to the girls dormitory, paying us no mind, and Leo flopped into the armchair by the fire, away from us. The others (and some of the random stragglers in the common room) shot me pointed looks until I plucked up the courage to disrupt the perfect silence that had fallen.

"Leo...? You okay?" He nodded, but it seemed a little bit off, so I stood and made my way over to him.

As I rounded the chair, I could finally see his face. I noticed the tears running down it and I crawled into the chair with him, wrapping my arms around his neck.

"What happened?" I whispered into his ear as he returned my embrace, and I shivered lightly as his wet cheek brushed against my shoulder.

"We broke up." I froze for a second, then sighed quietly, pressing a kiss to his temple before squeezing him tighter.

"That's okay, you could do much better than her anyway." He barked out a weak chuckle, and I could feel his smile against the side of my neck.

"How about you tell me how you really feel?" He joked, and I contemplated it for a second before deciding that now wasn't the right time.

"You already know how I feel." Was all I said, cradling his head in one hand as the other found his. "You'll be fine, Leo, don't worry." He was silent for a second, then buried his face in my neck.

"I'm just sick of losing people." I paused for a second, then pulled back slightly, cupping his face in my hands.

"Leo, you need to tell me what's going on." He went to move his head but I pulled him back, forcing him to look at me. "I'm worried about you." I emphasized, and he moved his head away again so I let him go. When I went to stand up though, I must have lent against him wrong, because he let out a yelp. "What?" I questioned quickly, before yanking his hand away from his stomach and pulling his shirt up.

I was expecting some sort of wound, but found only scars, and I was about to palm it off as muscle pain or something before I noticed that, what I had thought were more scars from his bouts with Remus, were actually thinner than those made by werewolf claws... and fresher.

"What... are these?" I asked quietly, tearing my eyes away from his belly as he tugged his shirt back down.

"It's nothing, don't worry about it." He murmured, and I furrowed my eyebrows at him.

"I would, but whenever you say that, it's usually cause to worry." I half snapped, and he pursed his lips slightly, not in a pout but still rather indignantly.

"...I'm really lucky to have you." Was the last thing I expected to come out of his mouth, and I was thus frozen completely stiff as he pulled me into a hug.

"Er... What?" I stammered out, but he simply pressed a kiss to me cheek, left me alone in the armchair, and made his way back up to the boys dormitory.

"So?" Sirius asked, loud enough for me to hear.

"I... Honestly have no fucking clue what just happened."

(A/N): So, what did you think?

Elaine is very, very confused.
