Nikki's pov

I reported the person who posted the photos but Instagram and YouTube still didn't do anything about it. I am really worried. My parents still don't know. I suspect someone for this, and I will confront her tonight.

Brandon's pov

As I was watching YouTube, I saw a video of Nikki's face with an ugly filter.. it said: 'This is me ! Any opinions?' That wasn't her for sure! Who posted those was a coward. I can't believe someone would do that.

At school

"Nikki, I hope you are alright." I said.

"I am don't worry. I am more mad than sad."

Nikki left and I just remained there confused. She seemed ready to slap someone. Nikki found Mackenzie at her locker doing her makeup.

"Were you looking for me?" Asked Mackenzie.

"I actually were this time! Why did you post those pictures of me?!" Asked Nikki, mad.

"What pictures?" Asked Mackenzie, pretending she doesn't know.

"You know what I am talking about!"

Only their voices were heard on the hall, everyone else remained silent.

"I think that's enough Nikki!" said André.

Nikki gets so mad she slaps Mackenzie. That's nothing like her! What's even going on?!

That's when I started to follow Nikki more. She was acting weird and I had to find out the truth. I decided ti ask Chloe and Zoey about it. I found them in the library.

"Don't you think Nikki is acting weird?"

"I think so too. She isn't so mad and violent. Last time she was here she got mad and threw the books on the ground." Said Zoey.

"We can ask her about it!" Said Chloe, cheerful.

"I suppose we can try."

We all get out of the library only to find Mackenzie dragging us back in.

"What are you even doing?!" Asked Zoey confused and furious.

"Right! We are-" said Chloe, unable to finish her sentence.

"Stop talking so much and let me ask you all something!" Said Mackenzie, calmer yhan usual.

"OK we're listening.." I said.

"Isn't Nikki weird all of a sudden? She always is but this time something is different…." Says Mackenzie, a little concerned.

"If even Mackenzie noticed it's not good!" I say.

Then, suddenly Nikki enters the library and is shocked to see all of us gathered together. I decided to finally ask but Mackenzie was a step ahead of me.

"We know you're not Nikki!" s

"What are you talking about?!" We all say in unison.

Zoey pinned her to the wall and started pulling her hair until….. it fell off?! It was a wig..

"WHAT?!" I said.

"I knew it!"

Zoey and Chloe were too stunned to speak. Nothing makes sense!

Zoey's pov

I took the blonde hair in my hand and Mackenzie immediately recognised who she was!

"My ex bff Stephanie?! Why are you pretending to be Nikki?! She's a loser anyway." Sais Mackenzie.

"How did you find out so easily?"

''It was obvious! You weren't acting like Nikki at all!''

''Where is Nikki?!'' asked Zoey.

''And why did you do this?!''

''I wanted to get closer to Mackenzie and ruin her life! But my plan didn't succeed because of you!''

''I am asking again. Where did you take Nikki?!''

''None of your business.'' Says Stephanie, mad.

Nikki's pov

I heard some yelling in the library so I decided to go check. I saw Mackenzie, Brandon, Chloe and Zoey arguing with a girl I didn't know. Why did she have the same clothes as me?!

''What's happening here and who are you!?'' I say, pointing at the yellow haired girl.

''You aren't supposed to be here!'' says the girl.

My friends and Mackenzie jumped and hugged me for no reason. I am surprised Mackenzie was happy to see me.

''Tell me what happened!"

''Where were you?'' asked Brandon worriedly.

''I was in a camp for a few days! I thought you knew!''

''She pretended to be you while you were at camp!'' says Mackenzie.

I was in shock. Why did that girl pretend to be me? What had happened while I was in camp? I had too many questions.

After they told me the story

''I don't know what to say..'' I said.

''You don't have to say anything to anyone!'' said Stephanie embarrassed.

''Are you afraid I will snitch on you?'' I asked.

''N-no..''

We all started laughing and got out of the library right when the last bell rang. I told them how was camp and they were relieved to see me, but of course Mackenzie snapped out of it quick when she saw Brandon kissed me on the cheek. I know she is still jealous of me so I shouldn't trust her completely. Everything was slowly back to normal. I had to find out why that girl pretended to be me. I knew the reason my friends told to me, but something didn't seem right.

Mackenzie's pov

As me and Nikki were talking, I realised she wasn't that bad after all, but I wanted to punch her when Brandon kissed her on the cheek. I have to get over him. He doesn't love me and that's it! Literally every boy is after me at school but I choose Brandon who has a girlfriend!

After one class

As I was getting out of the class, I suddenly bumped into a very handsome boy and dropped my books on the floor.

''I am so sorry! I didn't mean to harm you!" said the boy.

''It's ok. You don't have to pretend you like me. I know I am a gossip girl anyway.'' I say, carelessly.

''I actually know you! You are Nikki's number one rival right? And don't be so harsh on yourself. Nikki isn't a saint either!''

''Yeah, that's right! But you liked her, didn't you?'' I asked.

''How did you know?!"

''Well, boys talk about the girl they like with everyone, even with her number one rival.'' I said, laughing.

''I liked her, but now that I met a goddess like you I am not so sure about that anymore..''

Right when thinks were getting a little awkward, the bell rang for the last class and I had the time to leave.

''Thank you, bye!" I say running for my life.

I find myself blushing. Maybe being nice can make people be nice to me too? I hope it's true. I don't have anyone to talk to about this. I entered the class and sat down. Brandon kissed Nikki again but this time it was different…. I found myself not caring anymore. I smiled when I saw them being so happy to see each other.. That doesn't sound like me at all! Why am I being so nice all of a sudden? I remember I didn't ask the boy for his name so I don't think I can find him now!
''Do you happen to know a boy with black hair and blue eyes our age?'' I asked nervously.

Nikki and Brandon looked at me confused but answered the question.

''It's probably André. Do you know him?'' said Nikki.

''I do.''

But when I was about to say more the teacher entered the class. Thank you!

Nikki's pov

I decided to go to the school at night to find out who told Stephanie to pretend to be me. I knew someone paid her or something so first I wanted to check the school footage. My parents knew about it and talked to the principal to let me in. I didn't tell anything to my friends. I entered the room, embarrassed to see the principal after the incident with the destroyed office.

''Take a seat and we will find out if they made the deal in the school. If not, I can't help you.

''Okay sir…''

I sat down and waited for the answer. I saw Mackenzie and Stephanie talking. She wasn't pretending to be me at that time.

''300 dollars per day. If someone unmasks you, what do you say…..''

''I say you are my ex best friend and I came to ruin your life! Not Nikki's..''

''Deal!"

They shook hands and Mackenzie gave her some money. I couldn't stand looking anymore. I started sobbing and got out of the office. What if their plan actually worked?! I was too stunned to say something at home. Even Brianna noticed something is up with me. I had to do something.

Mackenzie's pov

When I got out of the school I kept asking people if they knew a boy named André and if they could tell me where he was. I finally found his best friend who was constantly laughing because a girl was searching for his best bud. He told me André stays at the library until late at night, so I went there only to find him lying on the floor reading a book. My favourite book!

''I read that book 7 times!" I say, laughing.

''Really? You didn't beat me though. I read it 10 times!"

I sat on the floor beside him.

''I see you didn't wait too much to find me.''

''No one has even been this nice to me before.''

We talk for hours and I felt the chemistry between us. I was already over Brandon, he had a girlfriend and hated me.

When our lips almost touched, I got to shy and left immediately. I hope André doesn't think I am not interested in him. I am just too shy to have my first kiss yet! I know, shocking! The most popular girl in school didn't have her first kiss! Embarrassing as well! I will find my courage until we meet again. I have to get his number. We had a lot in common. I didn't feel so happy in a while.
