A System's Reaction

The mistakes wrought from an old dragon's greed has been pulling unwilling victims from their world. Observing this mistake, the Universe sends a man destined to die to right this ancient wrong in exchange for a second chance at life. However, that's easier said than done when you're a human in a world full of the inhuman. (Takes place before the main events of the New World)

55. Apology

Hey guys, so a lot's happened for me lately, both with work and personal life. I know I promised a few in the PM's that I'd post a new chapter 'shortly', but as we can tell that was a lie. I've had family members take a trip to the 'Butterfly Farm', sixty hour work weeks, and less than stellar living conditions. Nonetheless, I'm still standing and I'll be damned if I give up doing something I love doing so much. Sadly, a cherry topper for this is that I lost all the story related documents pertaining to 'A System's Reaction' while doing some spring cleaning on my google account that I got a little zealous with, stuff ranging from backgrounds, character webs, and ideas for things like spells, monsters, and so on so forth. Not that I can't remake everything, but with how much there was, it would take far too much effort to accomplish that within a reasonable time frame, especially taking my current situation into account. A System's Reaction Isn't abandoned just yet, but it's definitely not going to be touched any time soon.

As for 'Stacked Deck', if I can level with you guys? I was super sick and hopped up on Benadryl when I posted that, and the only reason I didn't remove it was at first out of embarrassment that made me want to ignore it and then a combination of stubborn refusal and a sliver of pride that it was received as it was. That said, it's certainly getting a rewrite, the quality of it was sub-par and I took a little too much creative freedom.

In other news, now that I'm in a position to actually kinda breathe again, I'm going to be writing a new story to dust the cobwebs off this ol' Tamagatchi strapped to a potato I call a brain. I'll be reusing Nolan from 'A System's Reaction' and rehash a few other things to try and get a feel for the character again, and will be posting a story hopefully shortly. Or not. We all know how that went last time. As I've said, I'll try not to make any promises, life can step in the way a lot. Could be a week, could be months. Or in this case, years. So yeah, sorry if my apology wasn't the best, I've been chewing my nails trying to find a way to explain my absence but I figured it would be best to lay it to you guys straight. I'll see y'all when I see y'all.
