I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here a follow-up plot to the current story arc is about to take place…where Hope's Peak Superhero Academy is facing a situation due to the events of the previous chapters…and where would this lead to now that Sonia Nevermind is in PROTECTIVE CUSTODY…

Ch. 58: Hihan no arashi

Inside the Main Course building of Hope's Peak Superhero Academy…

Classes were suddenly cancelled and the students were immediately are immediately sent back to the dormitories as police, soldiers and paramedics arrived and scrambled within and around the academy to search any more of the attackers, as many have been arrested after being defeated by Naegi, Kibo and some students from Class 78 and Class 80.

But this was just the start as reporters were there and via live streaming the public found out that several students were killed and seriously injured, all of them from the Reserve Course, and this caused parents to flock the scene and many screamed and wailed as several body bags are being loaded inside several ambulances.

"WWWWWAAAAHHHH!"

"MY SON!"

"MY DAUGHTER!"

"NNNNOOOOO!"

"WHY? WHY DID THIS HAPPENED?"

"WHY DIDN'T THIS ACADEMY PROTECT MY CHILDREN?"

"WHO'S RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS?"

"DAMN YOU, HOPE'S PEAK!"

Naegi was there as he is surveying the area in case there are still any of the armed attackers, and one reporter professionally asked how come only the Reserve Course students were attacked and that how come there were none from the Reserve Course manage to fight back, in which Naegi reluctantly told the reporter that upon entering the Reserve Course building there were no guards there and that from what he deduced, the teachers probably didn't paid attention to what is happening outside and had classes continue as usual.

Naegi also said that the attackers were searching for Sonia at whatever establishment they could find, and also said that based on his observation the attackers appeared to be PROGRAMMED and that they were programmed to eliminate any eyewitnesses regardless of age, hence when they couldn't find their target they AUTOMATICALLY kill any who saw them.

The reporters heard of this and began to question what kind of mindset Hope's Peak has and how come only the Main Course department has tight security whilst there are none for the Reserve Course department, which Naegi appeared to be conflicted as he just realized that this has been what he observed before being scooted and transferred to the Main Course.

"Hold on…why did this happened?"

"The students killed and injured are from the Reserve Course department…but there are ZERO CASUALTIES on the Main Course department…?"

"So there's a security flaw in this academy?"

"Then this means there's some sort of favoritism here?"

"What's going on here?"

"Please tell us!"

"Are you aware of this?"

"Come on! Out with it!"

By then Kizakura came and whispered to Naegi to head back to the Main Course building as per Jin Kirigiri's instructions and Naegi reluctantly obliges as he left while Kizakura confronted the reporters as they demanded an explanation as to why only reserve course students are the fatal victims, and the scout of the academy had to come up with a convincing alibi as he realized that this is one PR nightmare the academy is facing at the moment.

"Okay, please answer us…why did this happened?"

"From what new saw…the students killed and injured are from the Reserve Course department…and yet there are ZERO CASUALTIES on the Main Course department…? Could you explain this…?"

"So there's a security flaw in this academy? We heard that the Main Course department is super-tight, yet there are no guards for the Reserve Course department…?"

"Then this means there's some sort of favoritism here?"

"What's going on here?"

"Please tell us!"

"Are you aware of this?"

"Come on! Out with it!"

As Naegi heads for the main course building he is greeted by Kibo, and there the teen cyborg told him that more and more parents are coming as news of the attack is spreading all over and that he has a feeling that the parents are sure to lay the blame on the academy for what happened, which Naegi reluctantly agreed as he knew that there would be an investigation as to why this incident took place.

"It seems that the mastermind is hoping for this to happen, Naegi-sensei…"

"Maybe…if not coincidentally…"

"It seems that the assassins seemed to know…if not anticipate where Princess Sonia is heading…as if they know her every move…"

"…"

"Perhaps there's more to this than meets the eye."

"Could be…"

"We better be vigilant."

"Agreed."

At the headmaster's office, Sonia repeatedly apologized to Jin for what happened as she made it clear that she is the cause of the tragic incident that happened here but Jin reiterated that she has no liability here since she is a victim as well and that the attackers are the ones to be blamed, for they are the ones who committed the massacre.

Moreover, Jin said that he will take the criticism since it was his decision to have Sonia brought here because based on the intel he received the police and even the fire department and medics appeared to have been infiltrated which explains why the assassins were able to disguise themselves as policemen and paramedics and stole police and emergency vehicles with ease

"…and that's what I believe, Princess Sonia…"

"But…"

"What happened here today…it's on me, hence you are not liable for anything."

"Are…are you sure…?"

"Yes, so please don't blame yourself."

"…"

"We will find the mastermind and make him pay for what he did."

"…"

Suddenly, Kyoko Kirigiri came and she did an impromptu body search and there she found what appeared to be a damaged tracking device and there she showed it to her dad and said that someone placed the tracer on Sonia and this would explain why the assassins were able to find out that Sonia is coming here and this resulted in the assassins coming here and did a brazen assault on Hope's Peak Superhero Academy.

Jin glanced at it and is surprised by this revelation and wondered how this happened and Kyoko said that there appeared to be both a traitor and a mole and that someone may have placed the tracer on Sonia in a way that the Novoselic princess is unaware of this fact, and it is fortunate that the tracer got damaged along the way, which explains why the assassins narrowly missed her while searching for her.

"So then…"

"Yes…someone secretly placed a tracer device onto Princess Sonia's dress without her knowing and that's how her would-be killers were able to track her down…"

"This can't be…"

"Fortunately the tracer was damaged…presumably after colliding with something which caused the device to malfunction, and there the assassins were forced to rely on their wits and resorted to a search and kill routine…"

"I can't believe this…"

"That's what my deduction tells me."

"I never thought something like this would happen…"

"…"

By then Naegi came in and overheard what Kirigiri said, and there he wondered who would slip a tracer onto Sonia since he, Saihara, Maizono and Akamatsu were with Sonia the whole time, but Kyoko said to Naegi that there was apparently a mole who got close to them and managed to slip it onto the Novoselic princess' dress in a stealthy way.

Suddenly Maizono came in and she was distressed, as she got word that someone is making it appear that Naegi is the reason why many Reserve Course students were massacred, surprising Jin, Naegi and Sonia as they find the accusations entirely baseless, untrue and unfair.

"Huh?"

"What?"

"Seriously?"

"Yes, it's true! Someone is spreading false news about Naegi-kun!"

"This is outrageous!"

"No way…"

"Why would they do that to Naegi?"

"I don't know! I just heard it!"

Suddenly the members of the Steering Committee came and began to point their fingers onto Naegi,.and blamed him for the state Hope's Peak Superhero Academy is in and said that they got word that Naegi himself came up with the idea of bringing Sonia to Hope's Peak and deliberately misled the assassins to head for the Reserve Course building to have the gunmen shoot the students and there Naegi conveniently show up so as to make himself look good.

There the Steering Committee members accuses Naegi of being an opportunist and willingly sacrifice his fellow Reserve Course students just to maintain his position within the Main Course department, much to Naegi's exasperation.

"You Makoto Naegi! You're the reason why Hope's Peak is in such a mess! You think you're all high and mighty just because you cheated your way to the Main Course department! You're more than a fraud! Am I correct?"

"Indeed!"

Suddenly some students within the Main Course department came and began to protest, as they said that they heard from A RELIABLE SOURCE that Naegi deliberately led the assassins here and made it appear that the Main Course department is responsible for what happened to the Reserve Course students and there they branded Naegi an opportunist and became DRUNK since he was FALSELY transferred to the Main Course department.

"You! You're the reason why we're having a crisis! You're the reason why Hope's Peak Superhero Academy is facing such an incident! You're a ticking time bomb! You don't belong here in the Main Course department!"

"Yeah!"

Maizono became worried that Naegi is being lynch-mobbed, and there the Steering Committee members took advantage of the situation and began to try persuading Jin to have Naegi expelled from the Main Course department and to have him expelled from Hope's Peak Superhero Academy.

"We demand that you have that brat expelled immediately! If you insist on keeping him in the Main Course department the academy will further delve into chaos!"

"Expel him! Expel Makoto Naegi!"

"Expel him!"

Likewise, the protesting Main Course students joined in and began to shout and urge Jin to have Naegi expelled as they deem him unfit to be in the Main Course department and that he is the reason why Hope's Peak Superhero Academy is currently in a bad light and in a potential scandal due to what happened several minutes ago.

"Expel him!"

Naegi clenched his fists as he is getting irritated seeing that the Steering Committee members are picking on him again because of the fact that he started as a Reserve Course student and that they still refuse to accept the fact that he was legitimately scouted and transferred to the Main Course department with no issues yet the Steering Committee members still sees him as a Reserve Course student.

And now they goaded the Main Course students to urge the headmaster to have him expelled for a charge he did not commit as he has no hand on what befell the Reserve Course students.

"Expel him!"

Hope you liked this chapter, as things are getting frantic here as Hope's Peak Superhero Academy is facing a possible backlash over what happened…and the Steering Committee members are taking advantage by using this as an excuse to have Naegi expelled even though he did not do anything to them…
