Ch. 8: Ryokan no naka no himitsu no dokkingu part 4
Later that evening the scene shifts at a room where Koshi is sharing with Mineru and Frey, and there the latter is proposing that they share GHOST STORIES, which made Koshi feel slightly uncomfortable and urged her to drop the idea, worried that if Kiriya overheard it she might freak out again like what happened earlier.
Frey teasingly asked if Koshi is scared and said that he has nothing to be afraid of since she and Mineru are here, and suggested that they come up with a scary story which Mineru somewhat agree to the proposal.
"So how about it? Let's have a ghost story! Something on the level of popular series…like Another or Corpse Party! It'll be a horror sleepover!"
"Hmm…sounds like fun…"
"Frey-san…Mineru-san…I don't think that's a good idea…"
"Oh…? Why not…?"
"There's nothing wrong with a little horror story…"
"Still it's not the right time for this…"
"Hmmm~m…are you getting scared, Koshi…?"
"As the dorm mother, you should be brave and tough…"
"Uh…"
Suddenly, Atena, Kiriya and Sutea barges in, carrying their futons and are terrified after overhearing Frey suggesting about making ghost stories and there Atena told Frey to knock it off as she pointed out that Kiriya is shivering from fright, though Frey pointed out that Atena herself is shaking in fear though the latter tried to deny it as she doesn't want to show her LAME SIDE to anyone.
"My, Atena-chan…are you scared…?"
"N-no…I'm…"
"Then let's have a horror story…"
"A-anything but that…!"
"Oh…? Why not? It'll be okay as it would help you get over your fear of men…"
"No horror stories! Not tonight!"
"Okay…let's talk about Corpse Party…and the plot is about…"
"F-Frey-senpai…!"
Suddenly, a rather howling sound can be heard outside the room, causing everyone, save for Mineru and Frey, to shiver in fright as they believe that the hotel they are staying is haunted, which Kiriya shrieked aloud due to her phobia on ghosts, which even a frightened Koshi and Atena tried to calm her down.
"KKKKKKKYYYYYYAAAAAHHHH!"
"Kiriya-senpai!"
"Kiriya-san!"
"KKKKKKKYYYYYYAAAAAHHHH!"
"C-calm down…!"
"Relax, Kiriya-san!"
"KKKKKKKYYYYYYAAAAAHHHH!"
"There are no ghosts here! I swear!"
"Atena-san is right!"
By then the door slides open where someone entered, which turns out to be Serene, and there the howling sound is heard, which revealed to be her stomach, where Serene tells everyone that she is hungry, causing Atena, Kiriya, and Sutea to berate Serene for scaring the heck out of them as they thought it was a ghost but turns out to be Serene's stomach howling like a ghost.
"Geez, Serene-senpai!"
"You scared the heck out of me!"
"What the heck's wrong with you?"
"…"
"Are you a glutton or something!"
"Didn't you have supper earlier?"
"Geez!"
"…"
Sighing, Mineru grabbed her suitcase and tells Serene that she will give her a vial which contains a drug that would SATISFY her stomach as the contents is worth tonight's dinner, which Serene seemingly accept, and is ready to consume the drug without question and hesitation.
This, however, did not sit well with Atena and tried to grapple with Mineru and told her not to give Serene any WEIRD CONCOCTION as she said that SOMETHING UNEXPECTED might happen if Serene were to take whatever Mineru is giving to Serene, even though Mineru insisted that her formulas are HARMLESS.
"Mineru-senpai!"
"Huh?"
"No drugs! Don't give anything questionable to Serene-senpai!"
"But it only contain…"
"No means no!"
"But…"
"Get rid of it!"
"But…"

Much later, the time now is 23:30, and Koshi suddenly woke up and noticed that while the rest are already asleep, he noticed that Kiriya is gone and so is Mineru, which Koshi sensed that Kiriya might get lost and freak out if she encountered something and decided to go look for her.
As Koshi walked within the hallway he slowly finds himself getting a bit nervous as he finds the place quite silent and eerie, and wondered if he did the right thing in walking the hallway all by himself and as the minutes passed he started to get nervous as the eerie feeling got a bit more…eerie…and scarier, and he wondered if Kiriya made her way back to the room.
By then Kiriya showed up as she is heading back to the room but turns out that in her nervousness she accidentally got lost and finds Koshi which somewhat gave her a sense of relief as she found someone who could escort her back to the room and Koshi asked if she is okay now after noticing how nervous Kiriya looked and can tell that she is nearly scared out of her wits.
"Kiriya-san…?"
"…"
"Are you okay…?"
"Well…not really…"
"I can tell…"
"…"
"Well…let's head back to the room and…"
"Yes, please…"
Suddenly both Koshi and Kiriya sensed something and turned around where they saw an eerie object lurking towards them which scared Koshi and Kiriya as it moved towards the two, and both Koshi and Kiriya screamed as they ran away, terrified as they believe that they just saw a poltergeist in this hotel.
"WWWWWAAAAHHHHHH!"
"KKKKKKKYYYYYAAAAAHHHH!"
"WWWWWAAAAHHHHHH!"

After a minute both Koshi and Kiriya hid themselves inside a storage room where it housed several futons and towels, and Koshi sat while slanting against the wall, panting as he was nervous from what happened, and subconsciously removed his robe to get a breather, leaving him only in his loose brief.
Kiriya followed suit as she removed her robe and sat in front of Koshi, leaving her only in her panties, and both sighed in relief as they tried to hide themselves against the assumed poltergeist, but the 12-year old boy blushed upon seeing Kiriya's naked chest is nearing his, yet he noticed that Kiriya looked ashamed as she asked if she looked pathetic, as martial artist like her gets easily scared by ghosts and poltergeists.
"Kiriya-san…?"
"…"
"Are you okay…?"
"I…looked kind of lame…am I…?"

Koshi noted that despite her tomboyish look, he finds her cute and told her that she is not pathetic and has nothing to be ashamed of, saying that it is natural for her to get scared and assured to her that once morning comes they will leave this place and enjoy the rest of the summer vacation.
Moreover, he tells her to have more confidence in herself as she is the Goddess Dormitory resident martial artist and said she is cute, so there are guys that might notice her, which somewhat raised her spirits and her nervousness slowly subsided which made her feel quite better.
"Feeling better now, Kiriya-san?"
"Yeah…"
"Then there's nothing to be afraid of…"

"So try to get over your fear of ghosts, okay?"

As Kiriya glanced at Koshi, she wondered if she could really get over her fear of ghosts, as she felt that it would be really lame to show this side to him since she is a martial artist and that she should be tough against anything, and yet Koshi is raising her spirits and now she had to muster the courage to face any adversity coming her way.
There she took a deep breath as she glanced at Koshi, finding him cute despite having the height and build of a 12-year old boy, and there she tells him that she will protect him no matter what happens tonight and tomorrow.
"Koshi…?"
"Yes…?"
"I'll…protect you…"
"Huh?"
"I'll keep you safe…no matter what…"
"Kiriya-san…?"
"I mean it…"

Koshi blinked his eyes as Kiriya's face went closer to his, and he blushed as he is unsure what is happening, but seeing her cute face made him gradually lose whatever doubts he is having, and he subconsciously had his face move towards Kiriya's and the two subconsciously kissed on the lips, moving their lips as the kiss commences.
