First things first, I apologize for taking so long to put together a chapter for any of my stories. I have no excuse that won't sound like just that, an excuse. I'm finally in an environment to where I feel I have the energy and creativity to start up again, and I hope to be posting more often.

Chapter 6: Waves Part 4

Naruto and Shinigami sat and waited for the rest of his team to awaken. In the meantime, Naruto had a wonderful conversation about what happened since the last time they both spoke, which was only a few months ago, just a little before he graduated from the academy. He learned that Kidd had a mission to the tomb of Anubis, that Maka-chan and Soul, Maka's weapon partner and one of Naruto's best friends, had captured a cat's soul instead of a witch's, which made him chuckle. He had also learned somewhat troubling news. The barrier around the pocket dimension in the Bermuda Triangle is starting to weaken and the three corners were slowly coming together. One instance of this, to which Naruto at the time thought was just a coincidence, was his dream of the silver-eyed little girl from when he was a kid.

That was when Kakashi, being a jonin, first awoke.

"What do you mean by that exactly, Shinigami-sama?" He asked.

"When Naruto was younger, his soul was the catalyst for something that caused minor tears, that are normally monitored and repaired as soon as they are discovered, to enlarge. This caused a slow merging of the three corners," Shinigami explained, "It was a phenomenon that had an effect on his connections, both in and outside the barrier. The connections that you made through your dreams, in your corner of the dimension, and the friendships you made on this side caused the tears to be irreparable, not that its a bad thing. The residual energy was slowly infiltrating and mutating to cause a more, lets say relaxed, fusion of the pocket dimension's borders. When it breaks, the energy contained won't have a negative effect, at least I hope that's the case."

\"But that happening will open a whole 'nother can of worms," Naruto said, with his hand cupping his chin in thought.

"Wh-what happened," came a groggy voice, "I had a weird dream that I met the god of death in a wind...ow"

"Hello, hello! How are ya'. How'd ya sleep, Haruno-chan?" Shinigami exclaimed at the waking girl.

"H-hello, Shini-Shinigami-sama. It was a n-nice nap, I suppose," Sakura, nervous and fearful, answered.

"Well, then Naruto-chan, I gotta let you go do your job," Shinigami waved. After they said their goodbyes, Shinigami then disappeared from the window, promising to give more information in the Hokage's tower office when they returned to the village. Learning this also gave Naruto and Kakashi food-for-thought on what Shinigami said.

What none of them, except Kakashi, noticed was another figure, one who had awoken from the battle earlier in the day, clenching his fist. Naruto wasn't special. He was just a clanless idiot. A moron. So why did he have a connection to a god?! He should be the only one who has that power! Not that useless brat, Naruto. Nor should anyone else!

Sasuke then scoffed, and entered, playing dumb to what he just witnessed. Naruto was weak, and he would prove it with this mission.

A few hours later, Naruto and the rest of his team, were patrolling around Tazuna's house. Naruto was on the dock, watching the waters. Sakura was stationed closer to the house. And Sasuke was in the forest, training. Kakashi had suggested that they could do some small amount of training while on patrol, as a way of teaching his students to split their focus when it was needed, and to also teach how to refocus on one thing as he would some times throw blunted kunai at thirty minute intervals.

Naruto was also taking advantage of the Kage Bunshin technique he learned from the forbidden scroll, having a few helping with patrol. He had also thought that the serene waters would be a perfect scene to meditate to. Shinigami had asked him to try to find a relaxing calm place to do so in order to not only contact his prisoner, but see if he could connect to Tsubaki in order to unseal herself from her current state. He would save that for later though. He had a fox to talk to.

With his clones doing some of the patrol, and his own senses on alert, he sat at the end of the dock, tuned out Sasuke's little rampage in the forest he called "training", and crossed his legs, putting his hands in what he thought would be a good position to meditate in. Then he closed his eyes.

When he opened them again, Naruto stood in an underground sewer. He looked around, wondering why his mind was so weird. Murky water on the ground, several pipes going in different directions, and a sound that was a mixture of snoring and snarling. Something told Naruto that was where the nine-tails was sleeping, and so turned to walk in that direction. He wasn't worried, Shinigami-sama told him that the Kyubi couldn't hurt him, no matter how the chakra being would try. He kept walking for several minutes before stopping in front of a bronze cage, with a paper seal on the locks of the gates. Getting closer, Naruto peered inside. He saw alot of burnt orange and blacks. This was when a giant red eye opened, and stared at their jailor.

While Naruto was in his head, so to speak, Sakura was watching out around the house. As she was patrolling around, her senses alerted her to someone. She turned and rushed to to where she felt the disturbance, spotting a woman on the open road next to the house. The woman had a black or dark brown hair, what seemed to be heterochromia, and was rather short. What drew Sakura's eye, however, was a long metallic tube with small green box-like attachments, handles and a rather large blade at one end.

"You can stop spying on me now. Staring is rude," the woman suddenly spoke, "Your good at hiding yourself, but not that good, little girl."

Hiding her surprise at being caught, Sakura instead jumped in front of the woman, tensed up to respond should the woman try attacking. "Who are you, and why are you here?" she asked.

"Names Lady, demon hunter, and I'm here because I was on a job, when suddenly I walked through a forest and ended up on this road. I had originally thought that this was the demon realm, but I saw humans roaming around on the road," the woman responded, with an added explanation on the why.

Sakura's eyes widened, and then she just sighed. "Shinigami-sama told Naruto-kun stuff like this could happen. C'mon, I'll take you to our clients house and help explain a few things. Sakura Haruno, by the way," she said, exasperated at the situation. The two then headed towards the house, while Sakura explained what the deal was.

Back to Naruto, he stood in the gate staring blankly at the fox, as they boasted about their power, and how they hated humans, and how he would devour all Naruto held dear, and blah, blah, blah. When the Kyubi stopped their little rant, he noticed Naruto's stare. "Well, whelp, say something!" they roared, before charging towards the gate with their claws extended through the bars, ready to stab Naruto through the torso.

Naruto just stood there, still with a blank stare. "Something," He responded, with a lack of any emotion as the claw rocketed his direction, before stopping short. A barrier stopped the bijuu's paw from reaching its target as it stretched like rubber before the Kyuubi shot back into his cell.

"This seal is stronger than the last one I was in, something's not right here," the tailed beast realized, "What did you do, you worthless human brat?! How is this possible?!"

"Triangle," was all Naruto said. And that was all the beast needed to understand, "So you have powerful friends on the other side of the barrier. Cursed Shinigami, making it harder for me to kill you. However, I can wait for you to die, won't be that long anyway."

"Yeah, about that, Shinigami-sama strengthened the seal's connection between us. If I go, your coming with me. And by that I mean permanently," Naruto said, nonchalantly.

"Huh?!" was his response, "How? Why?! When?!"

The Kyuubi then thrashed around, ranting about how the god had no right to interfere. That he was better than to be tied to a human brat barely out of his diapers.

That was when Naruto just turned and walked away from the ranting bijuu, calling out, "Talk to you later, then Kurama."

The Kyuubi, at that point stopped his tantrum, and turned towards the boy, eyes wide, and jaw dropped, "How did he know my name?"

And that was Chapter 6. Again to everyone who wanted me to post a bunch of stuff earlier, I apologize for the long wait, I hope you all can forgive me for taking so long. I do want to point out that I will definitely try harder to put out chapters faster. I appreciate all the kudos, likes, and positive comments on both sites and hope to receive more constructive criticism.
