CH 47
When it was lunch time Mike and Maxine went to a restaurant not far from NAVCOM. Maxine got her self a glass of wine while mike order an orange juice. Then they look at the menus.
"How Ryan and Patrick"
"good, Ryan final year at high school, I can't believe he almost seventeen and Patrick almost fourteen"
"they don't stay small for long"
"No they don't" Mike saw some one walk into the restaurant and over to them
"Stewart" mike said.
He stood up and gave him a hug "Mike, how are you"
"I'm good, care to join us" Stewart look at Maxine then to mike
"no, but I'm glad I spotted you. Can we talk"
"When"
"soon"
"Why not now, Maxine" he turn to Maxine
"sure"
"i don't want to interrupt"
"come on mate, we haven't seen each other in what, five years" they sat down
"so how are you" Mike asked
"i got cancer mike"
"I'm sorry to hear that" then the waitress walk over to them
"Orange juice thanks" Stewart said then she turn and walk away to get the order.
"How bad" Mike asked
"i needed a bone marrow"
"Ryan, Patrick" mike asked Stewart look at Maxine
"I said no for them to be tested"
"what" mike was shock when he look at Maxine
"Maxine, they are his father, they will want to be tested and find out if they are a match"
"I said no, Stewart knows that"
"He dose have a right Maxine" then he turn to Stewart
"do they know"
"Yes and they want to be tested." Mike turn to Maxine
"Why don't you let them be tested"
"Cause I said no and that is final, I'll leave you two to talk" Maxine stood up and grab her purse and hat then she walk out of the restaurant
"sorry mike"
"don't be, look I'll go and talk to the doctor she got my DNA on file from tests done few weeks ago"
"No need Mike I found a match"
"Ryan and Patrick been tested haven't they"
"Yes, Maxine doesn't know that, don't tell her"
"Sure so who is it"
"it neither Ryan or Patrick"
"what" mike was shock

"I'm sorry Stewart"
"I spoke to the doctor last week about it. She told me that Ryan and Patrick aren't my biological sons. She said there only a one percent change that they are" Mike thought about it
"I'm sorry, you said there is a match"
"Yeah there is. You know her"

"flipper" mike said in shock
"Yeah. There more" the waitress walk over and pass Stewart his drink
"thanks"
"Ready to order"
"Can you give us five minutes please" Mike asked
"sure" she turn and walk away.
Mike turn to Stewart. "I've met Mac few times, we talk. I found out that her grand father... is my father" Mike look at Stewart is shock
"She your niece"
"Yeah surprise"
"I'll say" They talk for over an hour while having lunch.
When mike return back to NAVCOM he went to see Maxine in her office. "Mike"
"Why didn't you tell me Stewart got cancer"
"I thought you already knew"
"no I didn't. But the good news there is a match."
"Match" Maxine said in shock
"yes in fact it a lieutenant on one of the patrol ships. Stewart met her few times and she offered to be the donor"
"that is great news"
"Question is why won't you let Ryan and Patrick be tested"
"they to young"
"no they not, what are you hiding Maxine"
"Nothing" mike look at her. He knew she hiding the truth from him
"Yes you are, your hiding some thing and it to do with Ryan and Patrick" Maxine was out of her chair giving mike an angry look
"you keep out of my family affairs"
"you are hiding some thing, some thing that to do with Patrick and Ryan. They way you acted just now proves that" then he turn and walk to the door then stop and turn to Maxine
"I know you been following me after work Maxine. Stop following me or I'll will make a complaint against you stalking me after work" then he turn and walk out of Maxine office and back to his where he return back to work.
That night he drove to Heidi place, he look in the rear vision mirror to see if Maxine was following him or not. When he didn't see her car he relax a bit till he pulled up in the drive way. The kids rain over and got into the car talking all at once which he starting to get use to. Then he drove back down the drive way and drove home.
That night mike send a e-mail to Kate about what happen and about flipper. When he sent it he shut down then got his cell phone out and send a text message to her before going to check on the kids since they were doing there home work.
It wasn't till the next day when Kate received the next message from Mike so she went to check her e-mail message from Mike. When she read what Mike said. Kate sat there in shock with what mike was telling her. She heard flipper so she got up and walk to the door
"flipper"
"Yes X" Flipper walk into the room
"Close the door" flipper close the door.
"what wrong"
"Please sit down" Flipper sat down
"Mike sent me an e-mail... he told me that your Stewart White niece and you giving him some of your bone marrow"
"Yes, we waiting for a date for the operation, commander white knows that I'll be needing some leave. She doesn't know that the bone marrow that I'm donating to is her ex husband"
"Have you got a copy of the letter of request"
"Yes"
"Send copy to Mike just in case she finds out"
"sure but why"
"commander white doesn't want her sons to have the DNA test"
"I know about that"

"Stewart told me, when I last saw him on Friday night. He told me that Ryan and Patrick isn't his sons"
"Mike told me that to in his e-mail"
"I've meet Ryan and Patrick"
"Have you"
"Yeah, I can tell they they don't look like Steward at all" she look down at her hands
"Flipper" Kate asked. Flipper look up at Kate.
"They look like... commander Flynn, sorry X"
"don't be. Mike told me about his past with knocker" flipper giggle
"that a good one. So you know"
"Mike told me in his e-mail that he thinks he is there father, He going to find out if he is"
"From what I saw of the boys, they are his. How would you feel if they are his"
"Shock but it not only going to affect Mike, Stewart, Ryan and Patrick it going to affect the whole family. My god when Mike sisters find out all hell will brake lose if they all show up at NAVCOM at the same time. Mike wouldn't able to stop them"
"If they are any thing like Mike I wish I was a fly on the wall when they confront commander white"
"True, but I think it would affect connor the most"
"Your son"
"no, Mike grand father" Kate said as she let out her breath.
"what ever happens you got Dylan and my support"
"Dutchy knows" Kate said in shock
"Yes, just like you and commander Flynn we don't keep any secrets"
"Ok" they talk for a few more minutes till they both were called to the bridge.
The next day Stewart met Mike out side the hospital. "are you ok Mike" Stewart asked
"Yeah I spoke to Kate this morning. She and flipper talk about us Maxine, the boys. They send out best to to let them know the results"
"Ok, let do this" they walk into the hospital and down to where the labs are.
Doctor Taylor saw them so she pick up a file and walk over to them "doctor Taylor"
"mike, Stewart I did what you both ask for, here are the results" she past Stewart a file. He open it and showed Mike it. Then he move sheet of paper over so they could read the second sheet. They both were shock with the results. Stewart close the file and past it back to the doctor
"thank you" Stewart said then he walk out side.
"He will be ok, just shock"
"and you"
"Same, thank you" then he walk out out side and over to where Stewart is.
"Come back to my place Stewart"
"What about work" Mike got his phone out and made a call
"this is commander Flynn, is commander White in... ok when did she leave" Mike look around the car park then stop when he saw her
"ok thanks" then he hung up.
"Stewart" Stewart turn to mike then look where he was looking.
Then he walk over to her car just as she got out. Mike follow Stewart to where Maxine is
"Maxine why are you following me" Mike asked
"I got suspicious when you said you got a doctors appointment so I check out your files you not due for a check up for another three months"
"so you follow me here or came here and saw my wagon"
"I wanted to know if you were telling the truth, then I saw you walk out of the hospital after Stewart"
"Maxine he did come to see a doctor, he saw doctor Taylor" Stewart said
"Who doctor Taylor"
"doctor Taylor works in the labs, she was doing some tests... DNA tests" Stewart said
"Your a match Mike" Maxine said
"Not for me he not" Stewart was starting to get angry
"Why are you get angry for Stewart"
"The DNA tests was for Ryan and Patrick"
"what I told you no" Maxine said yelling at Stewart
"Yeah now we know why, Mike is there father, that is why mike and I were in there for. Ninety six percent match. You bitch, you plan it. I've known for years you were in love with Mike and you seduce him, not once, but twice with two bottles of wine and look what happen nine months later. You let me think that I was there father. You sure live up your navy nick name alright. And I'm going to go and tell the boys every thing. I hope your happy now you got what you wants" Stewart said yelling at Maxine before he walk away.
"I'll be calling my family about this. If any of my sisters come after you, I won't stop them. And I'm taking the rest of the day off" Mike then turn and walk away from Maxine.
He walk quickly to where Stewart is. "Stewart" he turn to mike
"Come on, I told Maxine that I'm taking the rest of the day off"
"Are you sure"
"Yeah I am" they walk over and got into Mike wagon then Mike drove them to his and Kate place.
When Mike turn down the drive way "wow this place it huge"
"Wait till you see round back"
"how can you afford this place"
"Kate dad"
"Really"
When mike park the wagon out side the garage they both got out. Stewart look around as he follow Mike to the back door
"Kids play area"
"Yep, kids love it" They walk in side and into the kitchen after mike turn the alarm off.
He went and put the jug on for a drink. "wow this kitchen is huge" Stewart said
"Yes it is. I'll go and get change then I'll make us a drink then we can talk"
"sure"
Mike walk out of the kitchen and up to his and Kate bedroom where he got change and been to the loo before returning back down stairs and into the kitchen.
"This place must be big"
"It is, good place to hold parties"
"It sure is" mike made them a drink then they sit down at the table where they talk for two hours.
Then Mike showed Stewart around the house. When steward saw the photo of the kids he turn to mike "Patrick and Ryan look like connor and Mary"
"Yes they do" Mike show Stewart up stair in the kids bedrooms
"Wow there rooms are huge, bigger than my bedroom" Mike smile
"they all the same size"
"Really"
"Yes" mike show steward his and Kate bedroom last
"Wow now this is what a call a bedroom"
"Kate design this house" Mike said
"Kate did" Stewart said in shock
"Yes"
"wow I'm impress"
they walk out of the bedroom and back down stairs again where they talk some more before mike took Stewart to high school where the boys are. Then he went to do some shopping before going to pick up the kids and taking them home.
That night Mike sent an e-mail to Kate and to his sisters. Then he called his parents to tell them about Patrick and Ryan and Stewart called Mike to let him know that Patrick and Ryan now know the truth.
"How did they take the news" mike asked
"Shock. They blame you for it till I told them what Maxine did to you. They angry Mike and I don't blame them"
"I'll feel the same way also if that happen to me"
"True, have you called your parents yet?"
"Yes I just finish talking to them when you called. I told them every thing. They shock and discussed with Maxine, with what she did though years ago. They thought that she only wanted to sleep with me. But to get her self pregnant, not once but twice. Dad said she must of plan it and mum agree. She said if Maxine can't have me as her boy friend of husband then there only one way she get to have me"
"Patrick and Ryan" Stewart said
"Yes. She got what she wanted"
"Yes she has, a piece of you. But I got a feeling she wants all of you"
"Same here but she can't"
"True" they talk for a few more minutes before hanging up.
