"… And in entertainment news, we can finally confirm that we have the cast for First Burn. For those who have been living under a rock as of late, the Burn Trilogy came out about two years ago and was an instant hit for readers. Rumors that the books were going to be made into movies started circulating after Crash & Burn, the second book, came out. Yet, they only confirmed it six months ago when Burn With You, the last book, finally came out and fans are going nuts with the news of the actors they've chosen to jump into the roles of Liz and Anthony."

Jake the anchor turned to his blonde co-host Amber, as she was bouncing with excitement almost out of her seat with a smile. "Steve, you do not know how amazing this is going to be. Not only is this one of the quickest books to be made into a movie, but they also have Oscar-winning director Carrick Grey signing on for all three movies. Joining along with his father as Anthony is LA's Bad Boy, Christian Grey. From his big public break up with model Elena Green to his late-night partying lately, Grey has been having a hard time turning things around." A few pictures of the former couple flashed across the screen. A video of Christian followed of him walking out of a club around 4 am. The blonde reporter smiled as the focus was back on her. "This seems like the best spot for him to make a comeback. Especially seeing as Anastasia Steele is about to make her big movie debut with him. Anastasia is best known for her time in New York where she played characters such as Anna, Eliza Hamilton, and others on broadway. She has a few credits under the belt in TV with a guest role on Law and Order SVU as D.A Ashley Bell last season."

Jake shrugged before looking at Amber. "Have you heard anything from either camp about the movie's release date or scheduling?"

Amber shook her head before facing the camera. "It looks like everyone is tight-lipped. A few reporters asked Ana when she got off the plane at LAX when the news broke, but she just pushed through them with her best friend Kate Kavanagh and bodyguard Ethan Kavanagh making room for her." Amber shifts a bit before turning to Jake. "From what I hear it'll probably be out the end of this year, but I'm sure we'll hear about it soon.:

Ana just shook her head as a picture flashed of her, Kate, and Ethan trying to get in the car. The last thing she thought would happen when she got a part in the Burn Trilogy would be for her popularity to skyrocket. It seemed to turn her into this important person overnight. "We have to work on your style Ana, if you're going to be in the public eye a bit more we have to fix this." Kate moved her hand all over Ana before settling on the couch. "I mean, you heard it on the news yourself, this is a big deal. Working with Carrick Grey, someone who works with the big names, this could really launch your career."

"Kate, I love you and I'm so lucky to have you as my publicist and agent, but please don't worry too much; this is already really stressful. I know how much this could change my life, but I want to enjoy everything about this chapter in my life." Ana rested her head on Kate's shoulder as Kate let out a breath. "I know, I'm a pain. How do you put up with me?"

Kate just laughed, grabbing her phone. She remembered she needed to schedule a few things for Ana this upcoming week. After all the excitement, she almost forgot the meeting Carrick wanted Ana to do with Christian. "Speaking of putting up with you, I almost forgot that we have a meeting with Carrick, his wife Grace, the publicist for the movie, and Christian at the studio in two days. It was going to be tomorrow, but Carrick knew you were going to be moving into your apartment this weekend and wanted to give you some time to settle before you dove into work. I also want you to at least try to be more active in the social media world." Ana groaned before rubbing her face in frustration. Kate knew she hated the whole social media thing, especially with all the anxiety she dealt with. "Look, I know what you are thinking, but this is Hollywood; this is how people push movies and their brand. Just try it. I also want you to do it rather than me or attempting to have Ethan try it. Remember the incident when you were in New York?"

This caused Ana to let out a fit of laughter. She had just wrapped a scene with Ice-T and Ethan used her account to take a selfie with Ice-T. But accidentally posted a picture of a celeb guest star on SVU that was supposed to be a secret till the week of promos. Well, after that they insisted no more phones on set. "He was very apologetic, Kate. You need to stop bringing that up with your brother. No harm came from the mistake. I still had a job and even Ice-T thought it was funny, you should too."

"I am just saying… BUT enough of that, I'm just looking out for you." Kate nervously smiled at her best friend and client. "Okay, let's just take this one day at a time, fair?"

Two Days Later: January 8th

"Ana!" Kate's voice was very loud and Ana wasn't ready for it at all this early; the actress was truly regretting giving her best friend a key house she was renting. Pulling the covers over her head, she attempted to shield herself from her crazy-ass friend. "You would think Hollywood's new IT girl would be up and excited for her first movie meeting, but no, she's pretending this blanket is going to protect her."

Groaning, Ana peaked her head out of the blanket. She could hear the annoyance in her friend's voice and it slightly made her guilty. "I thought you said this was an afternoon meeting, not an eight am one. So I still have time to sleep." She watched as Kate opened the blinds wider. "Seriously, Kate…"

"Yup, and you need to get ready. It's an hour's drive to the Grey House Studio, and I want to be ready to leave about ten-thirty. I've already picked out your outfit and such, plus you have an interview tonight with Jimmy Kimmel about the news of your role coming up. I also picked out the outfit for that and before you ask no heels for either outfit, I promise."

Ana tried to contain her own smirk as she slid out of her bed without a fight. She didn't want to test how quickly Kate could change her mind. Stripping herself quickly, Ana turned on the warm water, hoping to wake her up a bit more. "Anything I should know about the Grey family?" She wasn't used to the gossiping side of fame, so she wasn't too knowledgeable about the family. Honestly, she still didn't know how she might have got the role she did. "I mean the other day when we were watching the news they seem to be a really popular family."

Kate just shrugged as she laid out Ana's haircare items on the bathroom sink. "I mean Carrick is a huge director, he's won like five different Oscars for his directing and a Golden Globe for some war movie his wife wrote; it was so amazing, Annie." Ana stepped into the water before shutting the curtain a bit. "But then you have Mia, model/influencer who is so talented. She does a lot of charity work in other countries. Rumor was that they linked her to Prince Harry at some point. Carrick is old friends with Prince Charles; I have seen Harry and William with the Grey boys and Mia when they're overseas."

Ana just rolled her eyes. How did people survive in a world where everyone seems to know their business as much as Kate does about the Grey brothers? "Wow, you seem to know a lot about their lives." She suggested as the water wiped all the soap off her body. Ana used to think this was the next big step in her career, but maybe she should've stayed on the stage that kept her calm. How was she about to compete with the woman out here?

"Ana?" Ana peaked out of the side of the curtain to see Kate's concern looking face staring back at her. "Don't… I can hear it in your voice already. It's part of this life, but you don't have to worry about any of that because you know I'll protect you. Never pushing you farther than you want to be. You are going to have Hollywood at your feet. Now please finish up and get out here. I need to beautify you." Taking a deep breath, Ana let a soft sigh out her lips as the water sprayed and wiped away the rest of the soap and doubt she was currently having. Getting out, she wrapped her body in the towel and headed to see Kate texting rapidly on her phone with one hand and laying out Ana's clothes in another. She had a bit more pep in her step, knowing that Kate had picked out her favorite white high-waisted wide-leg pants and a soft peach shirt that tied slightly above where her pants came up to. "As promised…" Kate placed the shoes in front of Ana with a smirk. "Well, I know I said flats, but these are small and dainty heels. Plus, you don't want those pants to get all messed up." Ana just shook her head with a smile before drying herself off and dressing in her outfit. "I'm so excited to meet these people, you are going to dazzle them, Ana."

Ana sat down in front of Kate she was thankful every day for her best friend. She was an only child growing up, and finding Kate in her life was exactly what she needed. An older sister to be there to help her through the anxiety and stress of life. "I just want to get through this with all my sanity and not make a fool of myself, Kate. It's a little nerve-racking."

Kates blue eyes rolled as she did Ana's hair. "Ana, you've sung in front of strangers for years. Not just that, but you sang in front of Beyonce; this is just a simple meeting. Honestly, it's just chatting about the schedule and mingling. Simple." Kate explained as she began loosely braiding her hair to one side. She wanted Ana to shine through as her natural self, which was why she was barely doing any makeup or hair stuff. Kate wanted the world to see Ana the way she did. The natural, loving, and caring human that deserved the world.

When they finally got to the meeting place, Ana looked around for the studio they were meeting at. It surprised her to see they were at a restaurant. "Kate, I thought we were going to go to the studio? I thought we were having lunch after the meeting? Olive Garden Kate!"

Trying to hide her smirk, Kate pulled up to the restaurant UOVO. She didn't mean to trick Ana, but she needed her to get used to the public eye part of being in this movie. "Okay, so we were going to go to the studio, but Carrick and Grace thought this would be more relaxing and such. It's fine, I promise it's just a simple lunch for you to meet the Greys and a few other cast members. From what Carrick's assistant said, he's into making people feel like family and doesn't like stuffy meetings. Her words, not mine." Kate could see the nerves hitting Ana pretty hard so she grabbed her hand smiling. "home-made pasta, Ana."

Ana playfully squinted her eyes at Kate. She hated that her best friend knew her weakness. "I hate you." Grabbing her peach purse and sunglasses, surprise caught Ana when she saw so many people flashing cameras as people were walking in. She was slightly panicking at the number of people that were lining the street. Ana placed her sunglasses over her eyes as she walked towards the door and remembered everything Ethan had told her about staying calm. "Over here, Anastasia!" She heard the sound but became overwhelmed by the intensity of the flashing lights; it didn't help that Kate had gotten past them.

"Breathe…" The soft voice behind her caused her to relax almost instantly. Ana looked to where the voice was coming from. Turning, she noticed his eyes were also covered, but there was something that just eased her a bit. "They can smell fear. That's when they get the worst pictures of you. Just pretend that you are in your happy place and it gets you through it." Ana nodded softly before walking in front of him. She was hyperaware of the man behind her, but it didn't cause her to lose focus on where she was heading.

Once they reached inside, Ana removed her glasses to see Kate clicking away on her phone. Ana was almost positive that Kate was texting and walking, which is why she didn't see the world around her and just kept walking. "Thank you." She smiled as the stranger turned around to expose a smirk. "I'm not used to that many people knowing my name and such."

Before he could speak, Kate and an older man walked towards the two of them. Ana was pretty sure that the man was Carrick because of the few pictures Kate had shown her on the way to their meeting. "Anastasia, it's such a pleasure to meet you. I'm Carrick Grey the director of the Burn trilogy movies. I'm so happy to be working with you, I've seen your work on Broadway and clearly, you are beyond perfect for Liz in the movie."

Ana couldn't handle the attention on her; it sent her cheeks into a dark rose color. Her blush took a little longer than usual to calm down, any doubt she was having evaporated as Carrick beamed up at her. "Thank you, Mr. Grey. I'm really excited about the next few years and working with you. I know I'm new to this, but I promise you won't regret it at all."

"First Mr. Grey is my father, and he even hates being called that." Carrick smiled as a giggle came from her lips. She quickly recovered before nodding at her new director. "Second, my wife and I saw you take on Eliza Hamilton and that is no easy role to fill. Then you brought genuine passion to SVU when you were playing the lawyer. I just couldn't pass up on having you here. I've told both my wife and son that this would probably be the movie to beat. I just have a good feeling about it. Isn't that right, Christian?"

Carrick turned to the stranger behind Ana, who seems to find the director amusing. Ana felt her cheeks flush again. This was the man Kate was talking about, it was like the world stood still as he removed his sunglasses revealing the softest Gray eyes she'd ever seen. "One could only hope, huh?" The smoothness of his voice caused Ana to bite her lip nervously. "We should probably get to lunch Dad before Mom attempts to skin you for making her late for tea with her friends later. It would be a shame to upset her again."

Carrick shook his head, "You're just trying to rush to get back to the bar Felix dragged you out of this morning." Smirking, Carrick took Ana's hand and led her over to the table lined with people who had something to do with the movie. Ana only recognized Mrs. Grey because of the pictures Kate had shown her, other than that she was clueless. "Everyone our Liz has arrived. Ana this is my wife Grace Grey, she wrote the script, Andrea is our production assistant for the Burn trilogy." Ana couldn't help but admire the beauty Andrea was. Again she felt slightly out of place. "You have Sam and Jane, who are going to be handling all PR for the movie. Both will work with Kate a lot more than you because of her request that most decisions about the movie PR going through her. Josh Harper is mine and Grace's assistant, he's just here cause he likes free food." Ana giggled, tucking a loose strand behind her ear, Carrick was defiantly not what she had expected. Carrick pulled out the chair for her before allowing her to sit next to Kate and across from Christian.

Once everyone finished ordering, Carrick quickly put his serious director hat on. He sat at the head of the table with his wife to the left of him and Sam to his right. "So as everyone here knows, we're sitting down to discuss the scheduling, preproduction, and postproduction." Sam and Jane started sending down papers for each person. "The reason Carrick wanted to have this meeting with just the two of you is that we film in two weeks and until those two weeks we will throw the two of you into all the interviews we can and you guys will walk the red carpet at the Golden Globes together next week. Christian you are presenting, but I want Ana to walk it so we circulate buzz about Ana being in the movie."

Ana's eyes continued to scan the itinerary for just the next two weeks. They were scarily detailed, something she was curiously wondering how bad it would be for the three months they were going to be filming. "I just have one note to add." Everyone's eyes fell on Ana, except the ones that she seemed to be more worried about. "I know we are filming a few weeks in April, I need a certain day off of filming. My parent's anniversary is that day."

Christian's eyes rolled before staring at his dad. He seemed extremely annoyed with Ana's simple request. "We can't just hold up production because your parents have an anniversary. My parents have spent most of them on the road, some during production." Christian had been quiet for most of the meeting, but truly where did she get off telling his dad she couldn't be around for a week because of her parents? He wanted to get this first movie done as fast as he could so that he could move to Australia for a few months with his friends and lots of models.

Ana tried her hardest not to bite his head off as soon as she spoke. "As I was saying CARRICK," Grace tried to sniffle her giggle, but couldn't hold it back too long knowing that was the first time she's ever seen someone snip back to her son. "My parents died last year and I would like April 2-4th to go home and be with my family. I can take a day off and fly out after filming, but it would mean a lot if I could take off." She didn't hesitate to stare at a guilty-looking Christian Grey. She attempted to not have a smug look on her face. Her father taught her better.

"Of course, dear." Grace gave her a sad smile before shooting a glare at her son. "Honestly, by that point, the movie should be in post-production, anyway. We just added the extra dates to be safe. Sometimes movies need reshoots. Please take a week, Ana. Carrick and I both know the loss of a parent and I wouldn't wish losing both on anyone. We want you to take a week to spend with family and come back when you are ready." Ana smiled sadly at Grace, her kindness was showing so brightly and caused Ana to relax. Carrick took his wife's hand and squeezed it tightly. "Please Jane, Sam, continue and take note the first through the seventh Ana will be out of town."

Sam and Jane nodded before turning back to the group. "Something we also thought that since the soundtrack to First Burn is being projected to be an amazing one by the fans, we've contacted a few of well-known artists and have locked in Sia, Brandy and Julia Michaels have signed on as our headliners." Jane paused as the servers brought over their lunches and drinks. Before anyone began eating their food, everyone turned to Jane. "As I was saying, everyone thinks we would have a significant increase in sales if we had Ana sing a song on the CD. Your work on Broadway was amazing, and your following is huge with that voice of yours." Jane smiled as she handed down a paper with the things she wanted from the song and where it would be in the movie and the contract with the song.

Kate took a second to scan the papers Jane had given her. She honestly couldn't agree more that it would be perfect for Ana to sing on the record. Her best friend had an amazing voice and it would do wonders for her career. "I think the only thing I want to add is Ana should have creative control. She would get rights to the song, especially since she will write it herself; also I think it would be beneficial if we use the song as the end credit song." Jane stared down at Kate, about to object when Kate held up her fingers. "She's read the script and I think it's only fair that if you want the emotional song, the singer should be able to write it and get credit for it. Carrick, just think you want to hit all the awards next year, think of adding Grammy onto that profile of yours."

Ana shook her head, unable to contain her own laughter. Kate was a shark and few could get past her at all. Every day, she was thankful to have Kate in her corner; even though Ana was strong, Kate pushed her to be stronger.

"Now this is my kind of girl… I truly cannot wait to work with you, Kate." Kate's determination impressed Carrick, but Ana knew Kate could sell ice to an ice maker. Ana knew what kind of person Kate could be when she wanted something, and she didn't care what anyone thought about it. "Anastasia, I might have to steal your friend. You have a deal, Kathrine. Jane will make sure the revision is made and sent over to you by tonight."

Ana could almost feel the annoyance flowing out of Jane, but Kate was a shark getting her point across. "Of course Mr. Grey, I will make the changes before we film."

Lunch continued with light conversation while Ana was hyper-aware of Christian staring at her, Ana was trying her hardest to not let him see the effect he was having on her. His stares were intense and all she could do was try to listen to Grace and Kate's conversation the best she could. It seemed Grace was the one who truly wanted Ana in the movie because she fell in love with her acting from SVU. Grace's kindness enchanted Ana; it made her think of her mom in some ways.

The longer they talked, the more Ana lost time. "Kate, what time do we have to get ready for the interview tonight?"

Kate checked her phone and nearly jumped out of her seat. "See, this is the reason she's the yin to my yang. Thinking ahead for me always. It was amazing to meet you all and I really am looking forward to this movie, I'll fax over Ana's contract after Sam and Jane send it my way." Kate already didn't like the twin pains, but she knew how to act when she needed to.

Ana smiled at the table before nodding to Carrick. "Thank you for this. I cannot wait to start this project. Please let me know the schedule for the Golden Globes, I'm pretty sure I'm free after this talk show." Ana turned to Christian with a soft smile, "It was nice meeting you, Christian. I look forward to working with you." Ana bit her lip before leaving with Kate.

Christian's eyes bore into her before nodding his head towards her. It wasn't until his mother jab his side that Christian sat up. "I'll see you at the globes, Anastasia."

Once Ana and her friend left, Grace turned to her son. She was annoyed with his actions; she waited until everyone else was finishing up their conversation to approach her frustrating son. "You will apologize to her for the rudeness. I raised you better than that, and at this point son I'm getting truly annoyed with the person you're becoming and it needs to end." Grace had seriously hated that every time she opened a magazine it had her son acting a fool on the cover. She was tired of the rumors and wanted him to get serious about his life and stop acting like a child. "She will work with you extremely close and I want her around. YOU will behave Christian Grey."

Christian was about to retort, but Carrick stared him down into submission. He had learned a long time ago not to press his dad after he gave that stare. He wouldn't challenge his mother, instead, he nodded in her direction before putting some cash down for his meal and leaving.

SOOOOOOo what did you think? A little taste of both Ana and Christian. Let me know what you think!
