Chapter 1: Ruby's POV
Yang and I sat across from each other, a spin-the-wheel game between us. Of the board's eight sections, there were only two possibilities: "truth" or "dare". It was, unfortunately for me, my turn. I wasn't sure how Yang managed to drag me into playing this game but I took a deep breath to prepare for whatever the drunken blonde had in store for me. I flicked the needle, waiting nervously for it to stop spinning. I groaned in annoyance as it landed. "It landed on a dare, Yang."
Yang finished the drink in her hand. "Hmmm." She tapped her chin in thought. "I dare you to…" A lightbulb seemed to light up in her mind and a mischievous grin spread across her face. "Lose your virginity. Go get laid. You're the last one on the team. It's a rite of passage."
My eyes widened and my face turned red with embarrassment. "Yang! You know I'm not great at socializing, let alone flirting, especially not enough to seduce anyone! Besides, I don't have time-"
Yang cut her off. "You do have time for a social life, Ruby. You just use your books and your missions as excuses to not have one. I will be taking Crescent Rose as collateral until it happens."
"Yang! Not my scythe! My precious baby!" I whined.
"I'm doing this for your own good. You can't just bury yourself in books, training, and missions. You've got to come out of your shell."
Yang does have a point, I guess. She didn't have to be so mean about it though. I threw my head back and groaned again. I looked over to my partner, who was lounging on the couch in their living room, for salvation. "Weiss, help me out here, please?"
Weiss glanced up from her scroll. "She has a point, Ruby. I think that taking your scythe as collateral is a little extreme, but I think you'd benefit in the end."
"Weiss! You're supposed to be my best friend!" I gave Weiss puppy dog eyes, hoping she would help me.
Weiss shrugged. "Best friends are honest with each other."
I huffed in annoyance. "Blake?"
Blake looked up from her book. "Sorry, I wasn't listening. What's wrong?"
I grumbled. "Nevermind. You guys are so difficult! I don't know of any men I'd do that with. Jaune is nice but definitely not attractive. Oscar seems way too innocent and shy."
Yang tapped her chin again. "There's team SSSN. They've been hanging around Vale a lot lately."
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, right. Like I could trust Sun or Neptune to keep their mouths shut and not tell everyone. Scarlet is gay. Sage barely speaks. Besides, I doubt anyone we hang out with knows the female body well enough to do it right."
"Hmm. You do have some valid arguments there, Rubes." Yang shrugged. "Figure it out." She paused for a moment, then her face lit up. "I have an idea! Blake and I are going clubbing at Junior's tomorrow, wanna come? It'll be the perfect opportunity to mingle and maybe meet a cute guy." Yang grinned and wiggled her eyebrows. "I'll even buy an outfit for you, and buy you a drink to help your social anxiety. How does that sound?"
I rolled my eyes and grumbled again, crossing my arms over my chest. "Fine."
Yang threw her arms around me and gave me a way too-tight hug. "Yay! I'm so excited! My baby sister is going clubbing with me! Blakey! I have the best news!"
I made a gasp for air. "Yang."
Blake looked up from her book again and smiled at her girlfriend. "Yes, my love?"
"Ruby's coming with us tomorrow!" Her grin widened and she shrieked in excitement.
I gasped for air again, turning blue. "Yang. You're crushing me."
"That's great news, Yang, but I don't think she'll be attending if you break her ribs." Blake giggled quietly.
Yang quickly released me. "Oh, sorry, Ruby."
Weiss clapped her hands together. "I'm so excited for you, Ruby! Getting out and doing things! I'll help you with your makeup."
"You should come, too Weiss! It'll be great fun!" Yang suggested.
"Sure, I'll go, for moral support for the poor baby." Weiss smiled sympathetically. "But, Ruby, you can't use me as a social anxiety crutch. You have to do this on your own."
I sighed. "Okay, fine, I guess. Baby steps, though. Don't expect me to meet a guy and fuck him on the same night."
Yang snorted with laughter. "Of course not, Rubes. Hell, I'll make it easier on you. If you happen to find a romantic partner, I might give you an extension. But, I will require some form of proof that you completed the mission."
The blush on my face darkened and my silver eyes widened. "Wha-What kind of proof, Yang?"
Yang busted out into full-blown drunken laughter. She gasped for breath, wiping a tear from her eye. "Sorry, the thought of this is hilarious. I don't know, anything suggesting that sex happened. A pair of their underwear, maybe even pictures." Yang's grin turned evil.
Weiss interrupted. "Come on Yang, I doubt the poor thing could survive pictures, taking them or being in them. She might have a panic attack." Weiss snickered.
I grabbed my pillow and threw it at Weiss. "Fine! I'll show you guys that I can grow up." I rolled my eyes. My teammates were annoying sometimes. "If pictures are taken, it's 20 Lien from each of you, per picture. They don't leave this dorm."
Blake smirked. "This sounds interesting. I'm in." She rested her chin on her hand. "I think it'll be fun."
Weiss and Yang nodded in agreement. "Deal." They said in unison.
