Chapter one: Prologue

There was great relief but also great sadness as Ron looked around the great hall and saw people he knew dead or people that he had seen around class or in the hallways.

He always thought that winning a war would feel great; that they wouldn't have to worry over their shoulders if a death eater is in the way. Or no more having to watch themselves not saying Voldemort. But instead he was felt by a lot of grief for his brother Fred who had died to let the next generation have a safer time than they did. Or Lavender Brown who while some people would believe that they aren't still friends because of what happened during six years. But they did make up after he went to apologize for how he acted towards her. He did truly care for her; it's just that he didn't have strong feelings for her like he does for Hermione.

Speaking of Hermione he looks towards her watching as she speaks with Dean and Seamus with a smile as He finally is glad that they laid out all of their feelings towards each other. Obviously, there is still a lot of talk about where they stand. As if she felt someone staring at her; she turns towards Ron, raising an eyebrow at him wondering why he's staring at her like that.

He smiled at her tilting his head towards the door for some privacy; Hermione smiled and nodded while turning back towards Dean and Seamus who apparently had seen the whole thing nodded towards them saying that it was okay.

Ron and Hermione smiled at them in thanks as they got up and started to walk to Gryffinndor.

Nodding towards people who gave them a smile; they headed towards Mrs. Weasley and told her that they were going up to Gryffinndor

tower to talk.

Molly nodded. "Okay dearies, I'm just going to help Madame Pomfrey out with the injured kids."

Both nodded in agreement as they waved goodbye to Harry, Ginny and the others and went up to the tower. As they got to the Portrait they instantly remember that they don't have the password.

" Oh go on, you deserve it." The fat lady stated as she swung open the portrait.

They smiled at her and went in so that they could talk not knowing just how much it would change the courts of their relationship….
