2183, Edem Prime

A hooded fellow walked (whistling a happy tune) through the kitchen of his house to the futuristic looking refrigerator and opened it... what he saw caused him to stop whistling almost on the spot because of what he saw.

"I'm out of ramen..."

From his tone of voice, he seemed saddened at this event to the point that a depressive aura surrounded him from head to toe because that was his favorite food since... Always!

"No way... you'll have to go shopping, Naruto."

The man (18) known as 'Naruto" has a semi tanned complexion and his height is 6'5''; his build is large and muscular. He has spiky black hair with a striking gray sheen along with two locks framing his face and dark charcoal eyes. Another interesting thing about his face is the three pairs of black marks on his cheeks, which he painted himself with a permanent marker. His clothing consists of a full body black spandex and on top of this he wears a cape (covering his entire body) along with a hood (covering part of his face) also all black. Lastly, he wears a pair of grey colored gloves along with navy blue combat boots with orange laces.

Our beloved protagonist reluctantly left his hut which was in the middle of a thick forest, and then set off for the nearest town. It didn't take him long to get there.

"Lately those agencies have increased their attempts to capture me..." muttered Naruto with amusement as he noticed some individuals standing near the police station. "They'll never catch the master of pranks and hide-and-seek!" he thought with a wide grin, even though he was hundreds of years old he still retained his childlike heart.

The mercenary group consisting of an Asari, a Turian and a Salarian watched every movement of the people in the small town, especially the humans.

"Anyway, my ramen is waiting for me-"

Not a second later something sounded that made everyone present (both humans and aliens) shudder.

{ Uhhhhhh!}

The loud alarm made Naruto's body hair stand on end because he knew a bad omen was coming and he wasn't the only one who had such a reaction.

We're under attack! ... Are they pirates? ... I don't think they're pirates, look! ... Black ships?

The man with spiky black hair turned his gaze to the sky where he saw a large number of ships of different sizes and shapes, you didn't have to be a genius to realize that it was not a drill.

In 2148, explorers on Mars found the remains of an ancient space-faring civilization. In the decades that followed, those mysterious artifacts revealed amazing technologies that allowed travel to distant stars. The basis of this incredible technology was a force that controlled the fabric of space-time.

That force is considered to be the greatest discovery in the history of mankind.

But the civilizations of the galaxy called it the... Mass Effect.

Naruto frowned when he didn't feel the energy of any living thing on those ships, which made him somewhat confused.

"This isn't a pirate attack..."

Without a second thought he levitated a meter above the ground for a few seconds and then flew off at high speed to the group of invading alien ships with the intention of confronting them.

Wh-what...? That's our guardian! He's back...? Yes, he's back!

Everyone watched with different reactions from surprise/shock to joy as their lonely and mysterious neighbor flew off into the sky with the intention of protecting them all from the attackers.

"I won't be able to hide here anymore..." muttered Naruto as he heard the words of the humans in the village. "It's a pity I liked that forest, but that doesn't matter now because... I'M BACK!" He exclaimed forming a small Rasengan in his right hand.

Our beloved protagonist attacked the first ship, a Geth battleship literally exploded into hundreds of thousands of pieces when Rasengan made contact with the black metal, causing that not a second later another strong explosion forced those present to close their eyes and cover themselves with something to avoid an accident that could seriously injure or even kill them... the reason for the second explosion was that the Mass Effect core did not withstand such an attack from Naruto.

A Few Hours Later

A group of people quickly descended from a frigate, but suddenly stopped a few meters away from it with what their eyes saw.

"Commander Shepard, ma'am... Is this...?"

The woman (29) known as 'Jane Shepard' has a fair complexion and is 5'7'' tall. She has semi-short red hair that reaches to the nape of her neck and green eyes. Her clothing consists of Onyx N7 armor that highlights her voluptuous body.

The named slowly nodded her head and formed a small smile at the graveyard of ships scattered on a plain with no inhabitants, there were also many wrecked robots next to them.

"This was undoubtedly your doing... you have to be thankful you were here to stop the Geth invasion."

The only guy who wasn't too happy was the only alien in the group who observed with a look of few friends the feat of the 'Guardian of Humanity... or 'Demon' for the Turians.

"..."

Nihlus, the Turian wraith was not as racist/xenophobic as his fellow wraith Saren, but like any good Turian he was not at all happy that a certain unnamable had been so close to him... he prayed to the Spirits that he would never cross him in his life with that damned demon.

In 2157, humanity made contact for the first time with an intelligent alien species known as the Turian Hierarchy... everyone would expect that it would be written in a history book as a beautiful day where humanity discovered that it was not alone in this vast universe, right? Well no, actually, the opposite happened. Unfortunately that didn't stop there because the contact was not only bad, it was... horrible, and that's still an understatement.

The alien species that made "contact" with humanity were called Turians, they were the space police of the known galaxy and one of the leaders of the Citadel in their Council... obviously they were not a pacifist race because their whole society was militarized to the bone and even before they joined the Citadel they were a pretty racist and expansionist Empire, but even today that is still common in their more extremist and conservative circles.

Anyway, back to the main topic, the contact as you noted was not peaceful and humanity faced its first war against a hostile alien species. The whole confrontation was concentrated on a planet called Shanxi, after the Turians defeated the small human fleet protecting the planet they prepared to land and occupy that place with their ground force... the inhabitants would never have had a chance to last even three months with the few supplies they possessed at that time. Even though this was a serious problem, they would never surrender to the alien invader.

But mankind had something or someone to help them when Shanxi was about to be occupied by the hostile aliens. This hooded guy killed every alien that landed on the planet and even as if he were a deity he flew out of Shanxi and destroyed almost the entire Turian fleet in the blink of an eye, it was all over so fast that the ships did not even register what attacked them, not even the black box was saved from destruction. ... Curiously the humans had no casualties on the planet, which was a relief as if it were a miracle.

From that moment on, he was called by many names: Protector of Humanity, The Protector, Hooded One, "God", Our Hero, Friend, Brother, etc. But everyone unanimously agreed in calling him "Guardian of Humanity".

Omake 1

It was night, Naruto was watching the sky full of stars sitting on the roof of his house.

"I miss you all so much... Mr. Kratos... Mrs. Faye... brother Atreus..."

Our beloved protagonist pulled the Leviathan axe from his back and stared at her with a great level of sadness to the point that he was making a great effort not to cry.

"I'm doing my best to keep humanity safe from the dangers that plague in the darkness."

Naruto ran his right hand over the ancient runes of the powerful Nordic weapon that despite being so ancient still conversed very well thanks to its wielder who took great care of it.

"You know... so much has changed, they have evolved so much in such a short time that I can't help but be amazed."

The man with spiky black hair stood for a while in silence with a thoughtful look on his face.

"Possibly the day will come when they won't need me anymore... pirate attacks on human colonies are becoming less and less, almost null I would say."

Naruto couldn't help but smile at the prospect of seeing humanity taking its deserved place in this vast universe.

"Sometimes I wonder... When will I see them again?"

The man with eyes as dark as coal set the Leviathan axe to his right side and then leaned back on the roof of his hut with the intention of enjoying this beautiful night.
