The two construct kaiju were panting heavily as they squared off once again. The white saurian construct kaiju roared loudly as it charged, destroying several buildings in its way. The three-headed kaiju construct flared its wings and took flight into the sky just as the white kaiju managed to arrive where it once was. The white kaiju construct came to a skidding halt as it charged its fins before unleashing another powerful beam of white light from its mouth and into the sky.

The black kaiju took evasive maneuvers as it flew around to dodge the intense beam of white light, while at the same time, firing three black lightning bolts from its mouth to shoot the other construct. Explosions rang out all around the white kaiju, but that didn't stop it from continuously shooting its beam to shoot down its foe. The white kaiju and black kaiju inhaled deeply, and at the same time, fired their beam and lightning bolt attacks. The huge white beam and three black lightning bolts collided in the air and created a chaotic explosion of white and black that shook the air for miles, blowing out windows from cars, buildings, and homes.

Both beasts ceased their attacks as they stared each other down, once again arriving at the fact that they were stalemated. They could end each other, they had the power to do so, but thanks to that power, unless they managed to wipe them out completely, their powers would either regenerate or fully rejuvenate them back to fighting shape. Truly, this battle could last for hours, but both knew that this battle would come down to one hit. It was just a question of which of them would land that final blow. The Protector of Life or the Harbinger of Death?

Suddenly, the white kaiju was besieged by another huge kaiju-like monster. This one had a large body, an elongated head with many rows of sharp teeth, and a total of four spikes protruding from its face. It had a total of nine eyes, four lined up on each side of its face ranging from biggest to smallest, with the largest eye in the center of its forehead. The kaiju produced several tentacles, and each one had a mouth with hundreds of jagged, sharp teeth. The beast released a unique shrieking roar as it launched its tentacles and latched onto the white kaiju's tail, shoulders, the back of its neck, and the heels of its feet.

The second black kaiju released black lightning that surged down the tentacles and began electrocuting the white kaiju. The saurian construct roared painfully as its body was showing cracks along its body. Another black construct appeared; this time it was humanoid. It first appeared as a skeleton, but soon more formed around it. A torn black cloak, damaged armor, muscle, and a large sword in its right hand. The humanoid construct's head remained a skeleton as its eye sockets glowed with two points of dim grayish light and was adorned with a kind of crown that floated atop its head.

The humanoid construct twirled its sword around and stabbed the white kaiju through its chest, causing it to roar in pain as black cracks started to form over its body. The electrical attacks from the other kaiju construct intensified, increasing the damage the white construct was taking. However, something started to happen. The white kaiju's eyes started to glow bright red, and soon all its dorsal spines shifted to a bright red color. A loud whirring sound kicked up as the white kaiju inhaled and shot a beam that was laced with red fiery light. The humanoid construct's entire upper half was blown away by this attack, while parts of it were now burning with crimson flames. The white kaiju wasn't done yet as all its spines suddenly changed, transforming into violet crystals. The crystals spread out from its back, and managed to go to each point where the tentacles were gripping it.

The second construct kaiju was shocked as the tentacles it was using were quickly becoming overgrown with more star sapphire crystals. The crystals acted as if they had a mind of their own, growing around the construct tentacle mouths before shooting down the tentacles themselves towards the main body. The three-headed construct kaiju saw this and immediately unleashed it triple black lightning, using the electrical beams to slice through and sever the tentacles that connected its ally with white kaiju.

The white kaiju flexed its body and shattered the overgrowth of crystals until only its spines were made of the star sapphire crystals. The saurian construct used its claws to pull out the sword from its chest and then crushed it in said claws before closing the "wound" it was given. The black cracks had all faded away, and its body had returned to its intact state, while its eyes remained bright red.

The humanoid construct shattered, but after it did, a new one formed in its place, now dual wielding swords. The second construct kaiju slithered over to the humanoid one, taking its place at its side, while the three-headed construct kaiju descended and came to hover above the two.

Saint Anne figured that it was more than likely Angel of Death's Sasha and Marcy. She was starting to get worried for her seven alternate selves, but her worries were slightly alleviated when she earlier saw beams of multicolored light creating explosions, both on the ground and in the air, with one of the bigger ones happening at the portal where Angel of Death and her horde of zombies had arrived through. And now that she had a moment to look, the portal was completely gone. Not only that, but it seemed as if the number of Black Lanterns had been cut down considerably since this fight began.

Meanwhile Angel of Death was using her ring to contact her two generals in this undead army, and asked them, "Sasha, Marcy, what the hell is going on?! Why is the portal gone?! I thought you two were dealing with those other mes?!"

{We've got problems, Anne! They figured out a way to destroy us, and I don't mean just wiping our bodies out! They can destroy our rings too!} Dread Knight Sasha exclaimed.

"Wait, what?! That's not possible! The only one that should be able to do that is right in front of us!" Angel of Death retorted.

{Ugh…s-she's not lying, Anna-banana. We saw it. Somehow, when they combine the green light with any of the other six lights, it allows them to permanently end us! We're both messed up because of it. I got stabbed three times, and I'm not healing,} Death Maid Marcy informed.

{It's the same for me, too. Those bitches cut off half of my left arm, and it won't grow back!} Dread Knight Sasha added.

Angel of Death growled, she did not see this coming in the least. Not at all. The only threat they were supposed to face was the White Lantern, or so the darkness told her. It made no mention of the other seven lights having the ability to permanently destroy them. And now their portal to their universe had been destroyed, and their army was getting cut down right now.

"Don't panic, we just need to kill this Anne in front us. After that, we can remake our army with the bodies here, and I'm sure this universe has a Terri we can use to make us another portal so we can get back to ours, and then after that it'll be business as usual!"

"WE'RE WITH YOU, ANNE!"

"ALL THE WAY!"

Saint Anne's construct roared yet again as she made more constructs appear around the kaiju construct. Several fighter jet constructs, along with some sci-fi space battleships formed, taken from her favorite sci-fi movie series, "Star Battles". With a single mental command, the fighter jets flew and began launching missiles at the black constructs ahead of them, at the same time, the space battleships rotated their turrets and began unleashing a barrage of laser blasts. All this while the white kaiju construct let out a challenging roar as it began running toward the trio.

Death Maid Marcy's construct made the mouths on its tentacles channel black light energy before discharging that energy in the form of beams from all twenty of the tentacle mouths, and a bigger one from its main mouth. The three-headed kaiju construct fired three supercharged lightning bolts from the three heads, and the humanoid construct twirled its swords around and slashed the air repeatedly, throwing several energy crescents at the incoming attacks. Several explosions erupted in the space between the two warring sides, obscuring both opponents from each other. But Saint Anne's kaiju construct continued charging ahead, breaking through the flames as it raised its claws to strike down the first thing on the other side.

The humanoid construct used its swords to block the white kaiju's claws, but when it did, the three-headed kaiju construct opened all three of its mouths and bit down on the shoulders and the third bit the construct's neck. The white kaiju construct was going to do the same to Angel of Death's construct as she did Death Maid Marcy's, but before she could, the lich giant construct pierced its swords into the midsection of the white kaiju construct. Dread Knight Sasha slashed outwards as she severed the beast's top and bottom halves. Once that was done, the three-headed kaiju construct bit down as hard as it could and jerked its heads violently and swiftly, allowing it to rip off the head and arms of the upper body.

The center of the chest was the only thing that remained as Death Maid Marcy unleashed another barrage of black energy beams, concentrating them on that single point. Saint Anne quickly rearranged the remainder of the construct into a huge shield as she attempted to block the attacks, but ended up getting pushed straight to the towards…

"OH C'MON! NOT DIS–!"

The twenty-one beams pushed her all the way to the theme park where a huge explosion erupted and created a mushroom cloud that shot into the air. Saint Anne shot a beam of white light that obliterated the rubble around her and gave her some moving space. The Thai teen groaned in pain for a moment before her ring emitted more white light that healed Saint Anne from the inside out, what little blood was on her disappeared as she managed to get back to her feet.

"Damn it…how can I – AAAAAAAAH!" Saint Anne screamed.

Two black harpoon constructs pierced Saint Anne's shoulders at the same time. The speed and force of the harpoons threw Saint Anne forward and back to the ground, face first. Another two harpoons descended from the sky and pierced through her calves to the ground behind them. Saint Anne screamed again as she felt her flesh tear and bones shatter from the attacks, she tried to focus the power of the ring to dispel the constructs and heal her wounds, but it wasn't over. Dread Knight Sasha and Death Maid Marcy appeared, with the former driving both of her swords into the lower back of Saint Anne, while the latter drove bladed tentacles into the tops of both of Saint Anne's hands.

Death Maid Marcy squatted beside Anne as she smiled at her. "Sorry, Anny. But we need to end this like now-ish. And we can't have you making more constructs or healing right away."

"Kinda hard to concentrate when you're in a crap ton of pain. Hey, let me know if this hurts," said Dread Knight Sasha as she twisted the two blades in Saint Anne's back.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" she yelled.

Angel of Death now walked towards Saint Anne. She conjured a black construct sword and raised it up as she approached her. "Sorry, me. But I can't let this drag on any longer. Death comes for us all…" Angel of Death took the sword in both hands. "And now she's here!"

Suddenly, a marble sized sphere of energy flew through the air and exploded against the side of Angel of Death's face. The explosion made Angel of Death stumble to her left a few steps as smoke rose from her face.

"ANNE!" Sasha and Marcy exclaimed.

Part of Angel of Death's face was gone, exposing her skull and the hole that had been made because of the explosion. The damage was quickly being undone, and once it was fixed, Angel of Death turned to her right to see which of the seven Annes attacked her, but she gave pause when she saw who it was.

"…Sprig?"

Saint Anne's eyes widened when she heard that name and quickly turned her head in the same direction. It was just as Angel of Death said, it was Sprig, and yet not Sprig. It was an orange construct version of Sprig, but this one looked…maniacal, almost crazed.

"Hey, Anne!" greeted Orange Sprig. "Say 'hi' to the rest of the fam!"

"What?"

Suddenly, Angel of Death was struck with a spiked gauntlet right in the face. The object that flew by and punched her turned out to be Orange Hop Pop. A morning star flew in and struck Angel of Death in the middle of the face and sent her flying backwards. Angel of Death groaned as her face healed and now she saw that the second attack came from Orange Polly, who was wielding a spiked ball and chain weapon.

"Lieutenant!"

"Grime?!" Dread Knight Sasha gasped as she turned around, having heard the voice come from behind her.

She was greeted to the sight of Orange Grime as he struck Dread Knight Sasha in the head with Barrel's Warhammer, sending the Black Lantern flying in the opposite direction. Two orange hook chains suddenly pierced into the shoulders of Death Maid Marcy and dragged her back with a swift of violent tug. The undead teen maid was dragged across the rubble before a huge laser sword came down and pierced through her chest and pinned Death Maid Marcy to the ground. The Black Lantern was shocked when she noticed who it was.

"A-ANDRIAS?!"

"Hey there kiddo! You've looked better," said Orange Andrias.

Now that the other two were gone, the additional torture from their actions had ceased. This allowed Saint Anne to focus enough to use her light to shatter the black constructs and heal her wounds. Now that she was standing again, she finally took the time to notice the orange construct versions of her Amphibia family and friends. But something felt off about these constructs, she could feel it with her power. There was…some kind of consciousness within them.

Shaman and Guardian descended from the sky, with the former already channeling the Green Light of Willpower as she and Guardian readied to lay Death Maid Marcy to rest.

"G-Girls, c'mon…please don't do this," the undead teen maid pleaded.

Shaman and Guardian gritted their teeth and steeled their nerves as the Indigo Tribeswoman and Blue Lantern channeled their lights and fired a combined beam attack, bathing Death Maid Marcy in their dual lights as she shrieked loudly before her entire body and the black ring were destroyed.

Dread Knight Sasha heard the cries of her undead girlfriend and let out a primal scream as she formed her sword again. But before she could go and attain vengeance, Star and Knight blocked her path, both wielding swords made of their dual lights.

"I'LL KILL YOU!" Dread Knight Sasha shouted.

"We're sorry," said Star.

"But we have to," added Knight.

The Green Lantern and Star Sapphire flew towards Dread Knight Sasha and engaged in a fierce sword fight with the undead warrior teen. Sparks flew in the air with each clash of their constructs, and each time Dread Knight Sasha's sword shattered to pieces. But she wasn't about to give up, for as soon as the constructs broke, she reformed them. Again, and again her constructs broke, but that didn't stop her from wanting to kill their versions of her other lover. Knight raised her sword and blocked a mighty overhead strike from Sasha's huge sword, blowing away the rubble around them as it was pulverized by the sheer force of their blades colliding.

There was definite bloodlust in Dread Knight Sasha's eyes as she rapidly reformed the sword as it continuously took damage from the dual light construct sword. However, her focus on killing Knight was so strong that she completely missed it when Star sidestepped to the left from behind Knight and stabbed straight through Dread Knight Sasha's chest. The zombie blonde girl looked down at her chest as several star sapphire crystals started to erupt from the stab wound, coated in Knight's green light.

"Dammit…I'm gonna regret not being able to play with the skimpy looking Anne here," Dread Knight Sasha mused.

"I'll make sure to show some extra affection to my Sasha on your behalf," Star promised.

"Tch, you better, Boonchuy…"

The crystals rapidly grew out and surrounded Dread Knight Sasha's body until she was completely engulfed by them. The green light that was energized into the crystals sealed her fate as the crystals shattered apart, and with it, Dread Knight Sasha.

"I'm also gonna spend more time with my Sasha and Marcy after this," said Knight as she released her construct.

"Word of advice, Knight. Don't hold yourself back, just tell them how you feel. I guarantee you, you won't regret it," Star advised.

Knight blushed for a moment, but shook her head as she, Star, and the others, flew to meet Saint Anne and finish the fight with Angel of Death.

Angel of Death's eyes were wide, she had just witnessed her two undead lovers' demise. They couldn't be brought back, not even with her power.

"No…"

Saint Anne watched as the seven Annes returned from their battles with Dread Knight Sasha and Death Maid Marcy. She could tell that that wasn't easy for them, and it wasn't an easy thing to see, even knowing her own Sasha and Marcy were alive and waiting for her.

"Did you guys manage stop the other zombies? I saw you found a way to take them down, but I wasn't sure," said Saint Anne.

"Yeah, don't worry, we managed to clean up the last of them back in the city," said Shaman.

"And we shut the portal, so no more reinforcements," Guardian informed.

"All that's left is the goth version of us," Scarlet announced.

"By the way, is there a reason why it feels like those constructs are kinda alive?" Saint Anne asked.

The others had knowing looks, but they didn't know how to quite tell her.

"Never mind. Probably don't want to know."

"Heh…Heh-heh…Heh-hahaha-HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Angel of Death laughed.

"Is it mean, or does she look like she's on the verge of going crazy?" Queen asked.

"What?! Now she's stealing my thing?! I'm supposed to be the crazy one here!" Avatar complained.

"So…my parents are gone…my army is gone…my…my girlfriends are gone…I'm all alone now…HEHEHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! WHY DON'T YOU GET IT?! LIFE IS NOTHING TO YOU AND ME! WE WEREN'T ASKED TO BE MADE, BUT WE WERE!" Angel of Death pointed directly at Knight, causing her to flinch. "AND YOU KNOW IT AS MUCH AS WE DO!"

The others looked at Knight, unsure what Angel of Death meant by that. But Saint Anne knew, through the power of her ring, she could sense that this Anne was the same as herself and the Black Lantern Anne. She was an Anne who was brought back to life by The Guardian.

"I DIDN'T ASK TO BE MADE! I DIDN'T ASK TO HAVE THESE MEMORIES OR THESE FEELINGS! SO…YOU KNOW WHAT…? I'M THROWING IT ALL INTO THE VOID! INTO THE DARKNESS! IT'S TIME FOR THE BLACKEST NIGHT TO REALLY KICK OFF!"

Angel of Death raised her right hand as the ring on her finger crackled and raged with black light. She then took that hand and thrusted against the ground as she dropped down to one knee. The earth beneath their feet began to violently shake. The others were starting to wonder if Angel of Death was trying to set off a massive earthquake. But the reality of her actions was far, far worse. About twenty feet behind her, the ground began to crack as eerie black light poured from the cracks in the ground. Something began to push upwards out of the ground, and whatever it was, it was big.

"Oh, fuck me, what now?" Scarlet asked.

The answer came in the form of a giant Black Lantern Power Battery breaching through the surface as it rose higher and higher. The Black Lantern Power Battery finally stopped rising, reaching the size of a ten-story building.

"Oh, what fresh hell is this?" Queen asked as she shook her head at the sight of the huge object.

The center of the Power Battery began to release an extremely loud buzzing sound, like hundreds of thousands of flies were buzzing all at once. That's when the opening of the huge Power Battery erupted with a stream of darkness that poured out into the sky. Upon closer inspection, the darkness that was pouring out of it was in fact thousands of Black Lantern power rings. The rings continued to fly out of the Power Battery and into the skies, but even more disconcerting was the fact that the stream of rings wasn't showing any signs of stopping.

{Warning: Multiple objects are exiting Earth's atmosphere,} their rings warned.

"What is she doing?!" Star asked.

"IT'S SIMPLE! YOU WIPED OUT MY ARMY! SO, I'M GOING TO MAKE A NEW ONE HERE IN THIS UNIVERSE! I'M GOING TO SINK THIS UNIVERSE, AND EVERY UNIVERSE INTO DARKNESS, AND RETURN IT TO WHAT IT ONCE WAS!" Angel of Death declared.

As she said this, the black light of her ring crackled even more, sending streaks of black lightning arcing across the ground, and reaching out in all directions. Saint Anne stepped out in front of her alternate selves and thrusted her ring forward, forming a barrier around all of them as the black lightning raged and pounded against her shield. The dark aura that surrounded Angel of Death started to become something, taking on the silhouette of someone. It looked like a zombie, but this silhouette seemed to have a consciousness of its own as it leered at the assembled Lanterns.

"What…is…THAT?!" Queen exclaimed.

"What did the goddess-angel looking version of us call the one behind this…?" Avatar asked.

"Nekron…the Entity of Death," Shaman answered.

Angel of Death recalled the black lightning, coalescing it towards the ground where she had thrust her hand into. Slowly, Angel of Death began pulling her hand out of the ground, and as she did, the other Annes realized that she was pulling something out of the ground. With one swift pull, Angel of Death revealed what she had. It was a scythe, the shaft was made of wood, but the top of the scythe was fashioned from a smaller version of the Black Lantern Power Battery behind her. Although part of the Power Battery was elongated and fashioned into a curving blade. Angel of Death took her weapon into both hands as black light arced from the corners of her eyes, and when she looked at them, it was with the same menacing stare as the ghost of Nekron that surrounded her.

The seven colorful Annes all felt a chill run up their spines, it didn't dawn on them until just now what they were truly facing. This was Death itself. Angel of Death twirled her scythe around and dashed straight for the group of Annes. With a single slash of her weapon, the scythe cut through the white barrier that Saint Anne had created. Angel of Death raised her weapon again, the blade glowing with dark energy.

Knight, Avatar, Star, Guardian, Shaman, Scarlet, Queen, and Saint all raised their rings up and created a rainbow barrier, reinforced by Saint Anne's white light. Thankfully the shield was raised just in time as Angel of Death slashed the scythe, creating an enormous black energy crescent that wailed like a thousand tortured souls. The black crescent crashed against their shield and instantly pushed back all eight Annes as they tried to keep the shield from shattering. But that was a task easier said than done. Saint Anne could feel it, they all could, somehow, Angel of Death had gotten even stronger. Perhaps her complete embracing of death allowed her to tap into the primordial power the Black Light of Death itself, allowing her to directly channel the Entity of Death's power. Which would explain why the shadow of Nekron was now surrounding her.

"I'm just going to say it! Killing zombie Sasha and Marcy before taking her down, probably wasn't the smartest idea!" Avatar stated.

"Oh, you fucking think?! But this is bad! She's super charged! And pissed!" Scarlet noted.

"She just lost the only other two people she cared about! And now, she's going full death mode," said Star.

"Uh, guys, shield's cracking!" Guardian shouted.

Unfortunately, it was true, the shield was cracking. All eight Lanterns poured more of their energy into their shield, but as they did, Saint glanced over her shoulder and saw that Angel of Death had managed to get behind them. The Harbinger of Death raised the scythe up, pointed the opening of the Power Battery of the scythe towards them, and fired an equally huge beam of black light.

"AH, CRAP!" Saint Anne yelled as she whipped herself around and formed a shield of white light, while at the same time still reinforcing the shield that was formed by the other seven lights.

The crescent in front of them, and the beam behind them, both attacks were pressing on them from both sides. The eight Annes grunted with strained effort as they poured more and more of their lights into their construct, but as they did, their rings began giving out warnings.

{Warning: Power Levels at 33%.}

{Warning: Power Levels at 32%.}

{Warning: Power Levels at 30%.}

{Warning: Power Levels at 35%.}

{Warning: Power Levels at 38%.}

{Warning: Power Levels at 31%.}

{Warning: Power Levels at 310%.}

The power levels of their rings were already dropping fast. They hadn't been keeping up with their charges what with all the fighting they had been doing, but they didn't think they were getting that low already. No, it was because they were doing all they could to keep Angel of Death's attack from killing them.

The two attacks continued their press until the crescent got another boost of power that rocketed it forward at the exact same time the beam of black light doubled in size and power. Before any of them could react, the two attacks exploded around them. Throwing all eight Annes in different directions as they hit the ground like lead weights. Some crashed into the ground, creating huge craters. Others smashed through some buildings that were, miraculously, still standing.

Saint Anne found herself thrown against some rubble. When she regained consciousness, she cried out in pain as she realized that some rebar from the wall had pierced through her stomach, right shoulder, and left thigh. Angel of Death landed a few feet away and started walking towards her wounded prey. But a yellow, Mongolian sandworm construct erupted from the ground and swallowed the death bringer. The construct didn't last but a few seconds as a ring of black light shot out from the inside of the construct, cutting off its head as both sections of the worm fell. Angel of Death quickly launched her right hand forward and grabbed something in the air. The air shimmered as Queen's invisibility faded while Angel of Death closed her vice grip around the Yellow Lantern's neck.

Scarlet charged in from behind and landed a punch in the middle of Angel of Death's back. The ring glowed bright before shooting a large beam of red light through Angel of Death's chest, but Scarlet didn't stop there. She grabbed Angel of Death's head and violently twisted it around as a sickening spinal snapping sound echoed in the air. Once she was facing her. Scarlet exhaled a huge plume of napalm blood breath right in her dark double's face and angled some of it to fall on the right arm. The blood breath managed to eat right through Angel of Death's arm, loosening the grip enough for Queen to rip the hand off her throat.

The acidic fire ate through Angel of Death's body, revealing her skeleton. Which was odd, as it normally would melt even the bones. That's when Scarlet saw that the bones had been coated in black light, effectively protecting them from the flames. The entire spine of the upper torso rotated around to match the new position of the skull's head just as the skeleton thrusted its hand through Scarlet's gut. The entire lower half twisted around so that now Angel of Death's body was fully facing the Red Lantern. Queen raised her right fist to fire, but a construct skeleton fist came down from above and smashed her into the ground below.

Angel of Death's upper half regrew its muscles, skin, hair, and then clothes. The Black Lantern smiled wickedly as Scarlet began to cry out in pain, feeling the searing heat of Angel of Death powering up an energy blast from inside of her stomach. Before the death bringer could fire, a violet buzzsaw construct sliced Angel of Death's arm off. Not wanting to find out if the ring could still fire, Scarlet ripped out the arm from inside of her stomach and threw it in the opposite direction. When she did, a black light tether sprang out from the severed half and connected to Angel of Death's bicep. The arm was drawn back and reattached itself, making it whole once again. The beam charge was still there on the ring, so Angel of Death took aim at Scarlet and prepared to fire.

Just as she was about to do so, a puff of purple smoke surrounded her, and she suddenly felt someone's hand on her shoulder. She didn't get a chance to see who it was, not that she needed to. Because in the next moment, she was teleported away from Scarlet and Queen. The Indigo Tribeswoman teleported Angel of Death high into the air before releasing her and shooting a beam of indigo light from her ring. The beam struck Angel of Death in the back, sending her on a collision course with the ground below. But she was not having it as Angel of Death spun around sliced through the beam with her scythe. Shaman saw this and quickly teleported again just before the black crescent reached her. Another puff of smoke surrounded them, and Angel of Death suddenly found herself with a collar around her neck and connected chain. This construct was made of orange light, and at the other end was Avatar.

The Orange Lantern rapidly spun in the air, taking Angel of Death with her as the two went 'round and 'round before Avatar released her and threw the Harbinger of Death straight towards the mountain in the distance. It was the same mountain where the Hollywood sign used to be before it got blown up in Frog-vasion. Angel of Death landed right in the middle of the divided mountain, and up above the divided mountain were Knight and Guardian.

"Feeling kinda guilty about blowing this place up a second time," said Knight.

"Better the mountain, than a dead universe," Guardian reminded.

Angel of Death grunted, but then noticed the area getting bathed in blue and green light. The Harbinger of Death raised her head and watched as both Knight and Guardian formed an incredibly large ball of swirling green and blue light. It looked half as big as the moon and was rotating at such a high speed that it began kicking up a whirlwind. The Green and Blue Lantern released their battle cry as they brought down their attack, slamming it atop Angel of Death like the hammer of God. The rotating energy began to tear apart the land, reducing what was left of the mountain to nothing but tiny pieces of rock that were being drawn in by the tornado that was forming around them from the winds their giant light ball created. But it wasn't just their lights. Once they had pinned her, Star, Queen, Scarlet, Shaman, and Avatar arrived and slammed their hands against the sphere. The sphere, which was only glowing with green and blue light, now shined with the colors of a rainbow, and tripled in size.

This has to work!

C'mon!

There's no way she can take all seven lights together!

Just a little more!

These were the thoughts running through their heads as they desperately tried to stop Angel of Death and end the Blackest Night. However, their hopes were dashed as a single blade of black light sliced through the sphere. The attack was so swift that the sphere had a delayed reaction. All of a sudden, the tornadic winds died, making the air go still. The sphere showed a single black line of light that divided it down the middle before the entire attack broke down into multicolored particles of light right in front of the seven Lantern Annes. The seven Annes gasped in shock, they knew it was a long shot, but they hoped that this would work.

"My turn."

Angel of Death grabbed her scythe with both hands and spun around once as she slashed the air. This resulted in the creation of a black lightning sphere that rotated counterclockwise. The seven Lantern Annes were sucked into the rotating black lightning sphere, where they were assailed by multiple black lightning strikes and buffeted by the intense g-forces of being spun at such a rapid speed. The black lightning sphere continued to rotate before the entire thing released a huge explosion that leveled everything in a one-mile radius of the epicenter.

All seven Lantern Annes were strewn all over the newly created wasteland. They groaned and moaned from the pain their bodies were in and struggled to get back to their feet. Their auras were now dimmer than before, visibly indicating that their rings were close to their last bits of charge. A shadow appeared above them, and when they looked up, they saw the Black Lantern Power Battery floating overhead. The giant lantern had followed its master all the way out here, and said lantern dropped from the sky and landed right behind Angel of Death with a thundering thud. Much to the other Annes' horror, Saint Anne had been chained up and was now being held captive by the Power Battery. The black construct chains wrapped around her arms and legs, stretching them out in different directions to the point that it felt as if her muscles were close to tearing, and her bones about to pop from their sockets. Another chain had wrapped around her neck, squeezing tightly just enough to cause pain and restrict her airway without letting her pass out.

"This is all your efforts amount to in the end. No matter how you struggle, no matter how much you kick and scream, death comes for everything and everyone. Life is a mistake. When you think about it, I'm doing the entire multiverse a favor. Darkness, stillness, which is the true nature of all the universes! All living things weren't given the choice if they wanted to exist, just like me, just like her!" Angel of Death pointed up at Saint Anne, and then pointed at Knight. "And just like you. Light and Life thrusted itself into the darkness, and selfishly thought it was the right thing to do! Well, it was wrong! And now, I'm going to correct that mistake for all of us!"

Knight managed to get back to her feet first, she panted heavily, and had some blood trickling from her mouth and from her head. But she managed to power through the pain and stand as she moved closer to Angel of Death.

"You're right about us not being the same. Just like you two, I was brought back from death. I've been struggling, wondering what I'm supposed to do with this new life. Or if I'm even the 'original Anne' or her clone. If anything, aside from us three, these others are more the 'original Anne' than us," said Knight.

"Then you know what I'm talking about."

"I get how you feel, but I don't agree with it," Knight retorted.

Angel of Death narrowed her gaze.

"Am I a clone or am I still Anne Boonchuy. I may never get a chance to ask The Guardian, but I know that these feelings inside me are real. What I feel for my friends, my family, for the family I have in Amphibia. These are real, and they're just as much mine," Knight furrowed her brow as she took a confident step forward and raised her right fist, her ring glowing in response to her strong willpower. "It took me looking death – literally – in the face to finally get it. I am Anne Boonchuy! I'm sorry for what you went through, the struggle you must've endured, but I won't let those feelings drag other universes down into the darkness with you!"

"…Heh…So, you're saying I'm basically weak. Right? Guess that fits, I never was good at much. But apparently…I'M REALLY GOOD AT THIS KIND OF STUFF!" Angel of Death proclaimed as she raised her scythe and dashed towards Knight.

"KNIGHT!" the other Annes cried out.

The Green Lantern didn't run, she stood her ground and formed a construct sword that resembled the one that was given to her by her sword master, Tritonio. Saint Anne could feel it, she could feel the strong will of Knight to live on in spite of death's approach. That's when her ring started to glow brighter and brighter. Just as Angel of Death slashed, Knight slashed as well. Their two blades met, and instantly black and green light erupted from the point of contact. A shockwave was released all around from their clash, but something strange started to happen.

Suddenly, Knight's green ring rapidly changed colors as it became bright white, just like Saint Anne's ring. The symbol in the center morphed until it was now the symbol of the White Lantern. Knight's uniform remained the same, but changed colors, taking on white and silver accents much like Saint Anne's. The sword construct that Knight was holding now became a white construct and was now stronger than it was before. With a fierce battle cry, Knight pushed forward and followed through with her slash, forcing Angel of Death back as she skidded on her heels for a few seconds before stopping.

Star suddenly felt a surge of power as her ring also turned white. Her uniform lost its violet-pink coloring, and now became bright white. The Star Sapphire insignia around her naval disappeared and was now replaced by the White Lantern insignia. The crystals on her right and left hand, along with the ones on her boots, were replaced by diamond-like crystals. Her eyes no longer glowed violet, but now bright white, with the glowing streak in her hair changed to white as well.

Guardian's hair, which was originally glowing bright blue, now glowed bright white, same for her eyes. Scarlet's flaming red hair now changed to white flames, and her eyes glowed white as well. The armor that covered her arms and each side of her torso took on a silver coloring, as her pants changed to a silver and white pattern.

Shaman, Queen, and even Avatar, all their uniforms were now sporting the colors of the White Lantern. But that wasn't the only thing. All of their rings were now white, just like Knight and Saint Anne's rings, and each one had the symbol of the White Lantern on their uniforms.

Angel of Death looked around and couldn't believe what she was seeing, all of them, somehow, had transformed into White Lanterns.

"None of us here are giving up on life!"

"It's because of life that we have the people we love!"

"Life is about hope!"

"The fear of losing life makes us appreciate it even more!"

"We rage when we lose that life to something unfair!"

"Compassion allows us to connect with the lives of others!"

"And what's life without wanting more?!"

Saint Anne's eyes shined bright as the constructs that bound her shattered to pieces, once freed she rose above the Black Lantern Power Battery to join her fellow White Lanterns.

"And that's how we LIVE!"

Angel of Death looked up and snarled as she now saw the multiple White Lanterns join her side, but even so, she wasn't about to be stopped, she wasn't about to let this be her end, for she was the one who was going to bring an end to all living things.

"IF THAT'S HOW YOU WANT TO PLAY IT, THEN LET'S GO!"

Angel of Death flew straight towards the Black Lantern Power Battery and passed through its opening. Within seconds black light began to engulf the entire structure, shrouding it darkness as that dark mass rose higher into the air. The mass of darkness started to take on shape and form, transforming itself into an unholy amalgamation of Angel of Death and Nekron. The giant, which now stood higher than the remaining skyscrapers in the city, held out its right hand as the construct manifested the scythe that Angel of Death was holding earlier, only now it had grown to match the size of its new wielder.

The eight White Lanterns were not deterred as they raised their right fists in unison, and together, they called upon the power of the White Light of Life, along with the lights of Willpower, Love, Hope, Avarice, Rage, Fear, and Compassion. The white light surrounded them, and in much the same way, formed a construct giant to match the one across from them. This new construct resembled them, but instead of a tattered cape like its dark counterpart, this one sported two huge angelic wings. The construct held its right hand above its head, and within its hand it formed a hilt made of white light. But the other seven colors of the Emotional Spectrum came together and formed the sword's blade with the white light creating an outline of the blade to contain the united lights.

The White Lanterns cried out as one as their construct flapped its wings and propelled them forward. The NekrAnne construct let out a horrible shrieking roar as it swung its scythe to meet its opposite. The two blades crashed into each other and created an intense shockwave that reverberated through the air. The raindrops around them were instantly pushed way, leaving a space free from rain for at least two to three miles before the raindrops resumed their normal fall. The two giant constructs began their battle, clashing their blades and creating more shockwaves with each strike of their weapons. Despite their great size, they moved with just as much speed and strength as if they were normal sized people.

The NekrAnne construct slashed horizontally, but the White Lantern Angel flapped its wings and flew into the sky to avoid the slash. Once in the air, the White Lantern Angel raised its sword and slashed the air in front of it. A rainbow formed in its wake, and from that rainbow flew out giant constructs of a red dragon, an orange leviathan, yellow monster bat, a green lion, a blue liger, an indigo mantis, and a violet heron. The red dragon unleashed a blast of raging red flames that bathed NekrAnne, but the Lord of the Undead pushed through the flames and grabbed the beast by its neck and slammed it down to the ground. That's when the orange leviathan came in and whipped NekrAnne in the face with its tail, making it release the red dragon as it as thrown to the ground.

NekrAnne let out a wailing cry of fury as she took her scythe and slammed the butt of it against the ground. The earth rumbled violently before two huge skeletal construct hands erupted from the ground and grabbed both of the constructs before crushing and shattering them. The assault wasn't over as the green lion flew in and swiped its claws at NekrAnne, forming four, huge green gashes in its back. NekrAnne turned around to attack, but the green lion inhaled and released a powerful roar. The roar was laced with green energy as it assaulted the construct's body, making NekrAnne have to hold on and weather the attack. That's when the indigo mantis flew closer to slash NekrAnne's head off, but the Lord of the Dead was ready.

Using its scythe, NekrAnne launched her weapon forward, but instead of cutting the construct, she used her blade to hook onto the indigo mantis. NekrAnne then used its scythe to toss the indigo mantis right at the green lion. The two constructs rammed into each other, ending the green lion's roar. NekrAnne jumped into the air and came down with her scythe, piercing through both constructs at once and shattering them as well. The orange leviathan slithered across the ground and managed to swiftly coil itself around the legs of NekrAnne, before snapping its jaws around the black constructs neck. Again, NekrAnne wasn't having this as the construct's body produced hundreds of long, sharp spikes. The orange leviathan was pierced multiple times, and just like the others it, too, shattered.

The onslaught wasn't over as the violet heron flapped its wings forward, sending a hailstorm of energy feathers raining down like arrows on NekrAnne's position. The black construct rolled on the ground as numerous explosions went off behind it as the NekrAnne construct flew up into the sky and sliced off the head of the violet heron. The blue liger appeared from overhead as it came down with a tail swipe, hitting NekrAnne in the head, and then sank its fangs in its right shoulder before taking them both back down to the ground. NekrAnne released a burst of black light from its body and shattered the final construct.

NekrAnne stopped her descent and looked around, wondering where the White Angel Lantern had gone, but it soon got its answer as the black clouds formed by the Blackest Night suddenly had a hole blasted through them, allowing for the sky to be seen for the first time since this night began. The symbols of all the seven Lantern Corps and the White Lantern floated high above as all their lights gathered as one. The eight symbols lined up along the length of the White Angel Lantern's sword, and once they had, the blade shot high into the air and tripled in size as a rainbow of colors comprised the blade. The Lord of Death saw this, and new that that this was going to be the final attack, or at the very least, that's what it was going to make it.

The White Angel Lantern dropped from the sky, holding its sword with both hands as it prepared to slash with it. NekrAnne released its necro energy as black lightning surged around its body. The black construct shot towards the sky, holding its scythe with both hands as it readied to attack. The two opposing sides met in the middle of the sky as they clashed with their attacks. The impact was strong enough to blow open a bigger hole in the clouds, covering the entire Los Angeles area and then some. The two blades created sparks that scattered through the air, along with the clashing white and black lightning as the bolts struck each other as if having a battle of their own.

Suddenly, the scythe started to show signs of cracking, and that's when NekrAnne's scythe blade shattered. The construct's eyes grew wide, not believing what it was seeing. The blade of the White Angel Lantern construct shattered as well, but it was only the energy that it had wrapped the original blade in. The construct spun around and with one swift motion drove the rainbow blade straight through the heart of the NekrAnne construct. The monstrous construct let out a painful wail as the White Angel Lantern construct flew forward, taking NekrAnne and itself down to the ground. The two constructs hit the ground like a falling star, sending a column of white and rainbow light shooting into the sky. The construct of NekrAnne started to act erratically before its mouth and eyes had white light pouring out from them. In the next moment, the entire construct shattered into pieces. When the construct was gone, it was revealed that the rainbow blade of the White Angel Lantern construct had pierced through the Black Lantern Power Battery. A moment later, cracks of white light formed along its surface before the entire thing exploded.

Far off in the distance, the buzzing of the Black Lantern power rings ceased, and then all of them shattered one after the other. With their fragments disintegrating mere seconds after. The black clouds faded away, allowing the sky to be fully seen in all directions. The horizon started to glow as the new dawn approached, illuminating the ocean and casting new light upon the city, signaling the end of the Blackest Night.

At ground zero, the eight White Lanterns stood in a half circle around the body of the Black Lantern Anne. Her body was gradually turning to ash as her power ring slowly cracked, showing that her time was almost up. The ring had lost its luster, and whatever bits of power it had left were being used to sustain this undead state.

"I guess…this is it…"

"Yeah…it is," said Saint Anne. "But it doesn't have to be. I can use this power, we all can. We can save you." The original White Lantern Anne knelt in front of her undead counterpart. "Only if that's what you want."

The former Black Lantern stared into the sky, which was now becoming blue and orange thanks to the rising sun. With a smile, she said, "No…let me go."

"You…You sure?" Knight asked.

"I'm tired…I just…I just want to rest now…" the undead Anne's expression turned sorrowful as she asked, "I…I know this is a stupid question to ask…but…do you think…do you think they can forgive me…? Mom…Dad…Sasha…Marcy…they have to hate me for what I did…I killed them…and brought them back to life as zombies bent to my will…I…I was a monster…I'm so pathetic…"

Star moved closer and got down on her knees next to the undead Anne and held her hand. "I'm not sure I understand exactly what you and the White Lantern you have gone through. But tell me, did you love them?"

"…I did…even when I was like this, I wanted them close to me…"

"I don't doubt the love that my Sasha and Marcy have, and I don't doubt Mom and Dad's love. I'm sure you'll find forgiveness," said Star.

Knight moved closer and added, "Mom and Dad gave me a message before they released themselves from their rings."

Angel of Death slowly turned her head towards Knight and looked up at her with expecting eyes.

"They said, 'We'll be waiting for you'. And they smiled when they said that. Mom and Dad are waiting, go and see them. Go and see Marcy and Sasha too, just remember to apologize to them," said Knight.

The undead Anne smiled and cried, hearing those words somehow relieved her fear. The black ring shattered, and the former Black Lantern Anne closed her eyes. The rest of her body quickly turned to ash, leaving nothing behind.

"Anyone else feel like we really didn't win?" Guardian asked.

"We stopped all life in the multiverse from getting wiped out, but I guess we were expecting something to save this version of us," said Queen.

Avatar sighed. "Not all of us get an exactly happening ending. We just gotta make do with what we've been given."

Scarlet crossed her arms and asked, "So, what now?"

Saint Anne rose to her feet and said, "Well, I'm going to go and find my Sasha and Marcy, hug them, kiss them, tell them I love them. Then I'm going to do the same for my Mom and Dad. Then I'm going to help with the cleanup. But before all of that. I'm going to undo the damage that the other us did."

"I think I know what you're talking about. Since we still have these powers, maybe we can lend you a hand?" Shaman suggested.

"I won't complain if you do," said Saint Anne.

The eight White Lanterns raised their fists into the air and concentrated. As one, a brilliant white light erupted from all eight of them that quickly grew bigger and bigger. The light bathed over any and everything. And as it did, the vegetation that was lost in the battle began to grow back, but it didn't stop there. The light kept going, passing over the Los Angeles area. Several people who were injured were suddenly healed of all injury, and those who had died were returned to life. The light continued to go until it had passed over the entire planet, undoing the damage done by the Blackest Night. Although they were aware that not all of the dead could be revived, the ones that were eliminated due to the Lanterns' attacks could not be revived due to there not being a body for them to fix or return life to. They might've been able to bring back a body and soul, but they collectively believed that they shouldn't cross that line. They weren't gods, even if they had the power of one right now. After another moment, the light they emitted faded. As soon as they did this act, the White Lantern rings the seven had changed back into their original colors, along with their uniforms.

"Sweet, looks like we got a full charge as a parting gift," said Knight.

"Guess that's the end of that power up," said Avatar. "Fun while it lasted."

"I don't suppose I could ask you guys to help with the clean up?" Saint Anne asked.

Before an answer could be given, a portal opened that resembled the one the seven used to get to this world.

"Guess that's your answer," said Shaman.

Saint Anne shrugged. "Well, I guess this is goodbye. Wish we all met under different circumstances."

"Maybe we will again, but hopefully not because of another multiversal catastrophe," said Guardian.

"Dude, don't jinx it," Queen admonished.

"Alright, alright, enough with sentimental crap. I got a horde to get back to! Someone might've taken some of my stuff while I was away!" Avatar complained.

Guardian, Knight, and Shaman felt sorry for this Anne. She had no one back in her universe, and the ones she did have were just copied personalities she had imprinted on constructs. It was just as Avatar said, not every Anne was going to get a fairytale ending.

Avatar was the first to go through the portal, followed by Shaman and Star as they waved goodbye. Scarlet followed after them, and Queen nodded to Saint Anne before jumping through. Guardian fist bumped Saint Anne, and then Knight as she walked through the portal. Knight, however, looked back at Saint Anne.

Out of the other six Lantern versions of themselves, Saint Anne and Knight had the most in common. This Anne chose to embrace her life, Knight chose to move forward even with the knowledge that she was a copy, and Angel of Death felt that her life wasn't her own.

"Hey…uh…I…"

"You won't become her," said Saint Anne, already sensing what her double was thinking. "We can't change where her path took her. But you can choose where yours goes. I chose to embrace this life. And after today, I can feel it. You've embraced yours. Don't doubt yourself, Anne."

Knight smiled and replied, "Thanks. And take care."

The final alternate Anne passed through the portal, and with that, Saint Anne was alone. Well, not really, she had her friends and loved ones waiting for her. There was going to be a lot of things to explain, and a lot of cleanup to do. Not only that, but now she was basically a demigoddess with her newly acquired power of life.

"Guess I can consider this training for when I decide to take up The Guardian on their offer or not."

(Scarlet Avenger's Universe)

Anne suddenly appeared on a rooftop. It was the middle of the day, and from what she could tell, she had been transported to the rooftop that overlooked Marcy's hospital room. The Red Lantern sighed and raised her ring to contact Mr. X.

"X? Hey, you there?" Anne asked.

{Yes, I'm here. What's wrong?}

"Sorry for being MIA for so long, a lot of crap happened," Anne apologized.

{Uh…Hun, what are you talking about? When did you go MIA?}

"What? I've been gone for hours, dude," Anne retorted.

{Uh, Anne, it's only been thirty minutes since you last checked in.}

Anne paused, thirty minutes since her last check-in was when she arrived here. The Thai teen raised her left wrist and checked her watch. The clock read "1:03 P. M.", which was the time she saw right before she got sucked out of her universe.

{Anne, you okay?}

"Uh…yeah…yeah, just a little tired. I'm going to head back to base and crash. I'm kinda beat," said Anne. "Oh, and X. I have a lot to tell you when my little nap is over."

(Avatar of Avarice's Universe)

The world that Anne was on was the one she was on before. The beach looked nice after seeing a real life "Night of the Living Dead" on steroids. Orange Sasha and Orange Marcy appeared behind Anne. They were back in their beach attire from before Anne left. Both constructs glanced at each other, wondering what their master was thinking as she stood there and watched the sunlight reflect off the waves.

"You good, Anna-banana?" Orange Marcy asked.

"Yeah but fighting the living dead…kinda changed my perspective a little," said Anne.

"How so?" Orange Sasha inquired.

"For one thing, I'm thinking that killing off everyone and imprinting them into constructs isn't exactly all its cracked up to be. So, instead…" Anne turned around and gave them a sharp toothed grin. "I'll only take the ones I think are cool, ones that are strong enough to keep my horde safe! And I think I'll use this universe as my personal vault. That way I won't have to convert everyone back home. Plus, if everyone's dead, how can they make new things for me to take?"

"Huh, you make a good point," said Orange Sasha.

"Brilliant plan, Anne," Orange Marcy agreed.

Anne reached out with both of her arms and brought her two constructs in for a hug. The constructs of her best friends hugged her back and smiled as they did.

"We'll always be yours Anne," the two said in unison.

The two constructs couldn't see it, but as Anne hugged them, a single tear fell from her right eye. She smiled as well, but even though she was, there was a noticeable sadness to it.

"Yeah, you'll be mine forever…"

(Fear Queen's Universe)

Anne found herself back in front of the Plantar home. The toad tax collectors were still on the ground and foaming at the mouth from having been overloaded by seeing their worst fears thanks to Anne's earlier actions. She looked around and realized that everything looked exactly the same, and none of the Wartwood citizens seemed as if they were particularly surprised to see her back after being gone for so long. Or maybe she wasn't gone as long as she thought.

"Hey, Anne, are you okay?" Sprig asked.

"Y-Yeah. Sprig, did I go anywhere just now?" Anne asked.

"Uh, no. There was a kind of flash of light, but it was only for a second," he answered.

Flash of light…but only for a second. Did time get warped when I was taken? Anne thought. Damn, there's so much to process, but I do remember these assholes saying that Sasha was being held prisoner in Toad Tower.

"Alright everyone, listen. There's going to be a lot of things happening really quick. First off, we need to find out why they said you all didn't pay your taxes. Personally speaking, I'd look into Toadstool," said Anne.

"No arguments here, we'll get to the bottom of that," Mrs. Croaker promised.

"Second thing, I'm heading to Toad Tower and rescuing my girlfriend. I know this is going to stir up a storm with the toads, and I'm sorry. But I can't let Sasha rot in a prison cell, who knows what they're doing to her – have been doing her!" Anne calmed down for a moment as she added, "I know that this will cause trouble for you guys. So, if you want to, you can blame everything on me. Tell the toads I was holding the town hostage and you had to do what I said. I'll take Sasha and get us out of Frog Valley."

Hop Pop furrowed his brow and walked until he was standing in front of Anne. "Ah ain't about to paint ya like some kinda villain. Ah'm not gonna speak fer everyone here, but Ah ain't about to abandon one of my grandchildren."

Polly hopped until she was standing next to her grandfather. "I'm with the old man! If you're going to mess up some toads, then I'm in! Plus, I just gained a whole new respect for you! I need you to teach me your ways of intimidation!"

If I did that, I'm more than sure my ring would abandon me and go to her. Which somehow frightens me way more than the zombies, Anne thought.

"Well, you heard them, the Plantars are sticking together," said Sprig.

"Not just you lot!" Wally exclaimed. "We're tired of their shakedowns, and how they do whatever they want!"

"Yeah!" Ivy shouted as she hopped out of the crowd and onto the fence post. "I say we follow Anne's example! Let's stand up the toads!"

"YEAAAH!" the townspeople cried out as one.

Anne wasn't expecting that. They were all fearful of her, paranoid that she was going to harm them in some way. And thanks to her ring she could sense exactly what they were afraid of when it came to her. But now…she didn't sense any of that. She could no longer feel the fear they had towards her; it was gone.

"You guys…trust me? I mean…after what you saw me do? I kinda proved you all right about being afraid of me," said Anne.

"True, but when ya think about it, you could've done what you just did at any time ya wanted," Stumpy pointed out. "If ya really meant us harm, ya could've just done so and been on yer merry way. And yet, despite all the grief we've given ya, not once did ya turn that fancy ring on us."

Anne felt her heart swell when she heard about how they wanted to stand by her side. And now, with renewed vigor, Anne was ready.

"Alright, then I'll leave these toads and the tax money to you until I get back," Anne's ring shined with yellow light as her body underwent a quick transformation into her uniform, "and when I do, I'll introduce you guys to my girlfriend!"

"Toad Tower's in that direction, Anne!" Sprig announced as she pointed in said direction.

Anne floated upwards into the air until she past the tops of the trees and took off like a rocket straight for Toad Tower.

"Go get 'em, girl!"

"I know her!"

"She lives in my basement!"

As Anne flew through the rainy skies, she narrowed her gaze as thoughts of Sasha and Marcy entered her mind.

I will save you Sasha! And when I do, we'll work together to find Marcy! I won't let anyone take those I love from me, and those who try, I'll make sure they know the real meaning of the word fear!

(Emerald Knight's Universe)

Anne had returned to her universe at the moment after she had stopped the gang war shootout that was happening. She realized that whatever power the goddess angel version of herself had, it apparently bent the laws of spacetime. Once Anne was done with her hero thing, she decided to head back to her home, and from there, she called Sasha and Marcy over, along with Mr. X. She had told them that she wanted to have a talk, and it was something that she had been putting off for a while. No matter what happened, Anne didn't want to have to keep lying to them.

Once they had gathered in the living room, Anne took a deep breath, steadied her nerves, and began her explanation. She told her parents and Mr. X what really happened at the final battle back in Amphibia. Before now, Anne, Sasha, and Marcy had fed the adults a lie that the three of them united their powers together to blow the moon up and end the Core. While Anne admitted that they did use their powers to fight and stop the Core, she corrected the last part of the story by telling them that she sacrificed her life by taking on the full power of the Calamity Gems.

Understandably, her mother and father were shocked, and cried when they heard what became of Anne after she used the power to stop the moon. Mr. X remained stoic as he took in this information, after all the things he had seen, stuff like this hardly fazed him. But that didn't make it any less shocking for him. Sasha and Marcy confirmed what happened, how they watched Anne's ashen body break down into leaves that flew into the air and disappeared.

It was at this point that Anne made everyone aware, for the first time, what happened after her death. She explained that she was brought to some kind otherworldly plane of existence, the little house, the old timey computer, and of course, the god of the multiverse, The Guardian. Anne explained that the Calamity Gems were in fact fragments of this multiversal god's power. That the gems were sent out as a test to see what mortals would do if given great power.

Mr. X didn't need to be a god to know exactly what people would do if they had three fragments of a god's power. The Amphibian royalty was one case, and Earth's history showed time and again how great power was used for all the wrong reasons.

Anne continued by informing them that out of all the different universes where the gems were sent, that Anne was the first one to use their power for good. And for essentially passing this test, Anne was given the right to succeed The Guardian as the next god of the multiverse. Naturally, everyone's jaws dropped.

"Hold on! Y-You mean, that thing said you could become a god!" Sasha exclaimed.

"W-Wait…Anne, does that mean…you came back as a goddess! Is that why you can use that ring?!" Marcy asked.

"Wow…My daughter's a goddess, and I mean a real goddess," Bee gasped. "That is AWESOME!"

Oum slapped him upside the head.

"What? It is!"

"I…I can't believe it. I always hoped that you would reach your potential, Anne. But…this is going far above and beyond," said Oum.

"Okay, okay, hold on. I'm not a goddess, I turned down the position," said Anne.

"WHAT?!" everyone, aside from Mr. X, yelled.

"Guys, I'm thirteen going on fourteen, do you really want a teenager like me in charge of an infinite number of universes?" Anne asked.

The group took a moment to think about that, and collectively, they came to the same conclusion.

"No, we don't," they answered.

"Right."

Anne continued, explaining that she told The Guardian that she was still too young and inexperienced to be a deity, especially when she realized that she had grown a lot during her time in Amphibia, and learned so much about herself and others, but was still able to see that she herself had more room to grow as a person. It was thanks to this introspective that The Guardian decided to give Anne a second chance at living, and so sent her back, telling her that she had seventy-eight years more to live, well, seventy-seven now.

Then Anne explained the biggest reveal. She told them all that The Guardian made a "copy" of her right before she died during the final battle.

"I…I didn't know how to tell you guys, because I didn't know how to process it myself. I'm a copy of Anne, that's what they said. So, I'm like a clone of her." Anne tightened her fists as she kept going. "I know this is a lot to take in, and I'll understand if you guys don't want to see or speak to me. But I won't stop caring about any of you. I will always protect you. I may not be the same Anne, but I have her memories, and her feelings. I am Anne Boonchuy."

There was a great silence that fell over the room. After the longest minute of Anne's life, someone finally made a move. Oum and Bee rose from their seats and walked over to Anne, and once they were in front of her, both parents gave her a hug.

"You are our daughter, Anne," said Bee.

"You'll always be our little Anne. You're no copy, a mother and father can tell," said Oum.

"Mom…Dad…" Anne whispered as her voice cracked.

Sasha and Marcy stood up next, they nodded to each other and stood on either side of Anne as they hugged her as well.

"You are Anne, copy or not, that doesn't change how I feel about you," said Sasha.

"Me neither. When we saw you die, we thought we had lost you forever. Having you back is nothing short of a miracle that I'm not taking for granted," Marcy added.

"Sash…Mar-Mar…"

All four of them hugged her tight, and the dam finally broke in Anne. The tears that she had been holding back came flowing out as the strength in her legs gave out. Gently the four guided her and themselves to the floor as they kept Anne at the center of their group hug, reassuring the Thai teen that she was loved, no matter whether she was "copy" or the "original" she was loved by those around her.

Mr. X remained in his seat, deciding not to get involved in this moment Anne was having with her loved ones. But now he had gained a greater respect and appreciation for this young woman before him. Truly, The Guardian made the right choice.

(Azure Guardian's Universe)

Sasha stretched her limbs as she yawned. "Jeez, what a day."

"Need a buguccino?" Marcy offered.

"Why not? Hit me," Sasha replied as she held out her cup.

The two were going through some reports of different regions that were still in need of help, and unfortunately, there were still pockets of loyalists who were trying to fight back against the new government that was being established and sought to rekindle the war machine of the Core. Even with Andrias publicly making an announcement that said loyalists should back down and cease their resistance, they only took it as Andrias being held hostage and forced to say such things.

"Those idiots are really getting annoying. The war is over, why do they keep fighting us?" Sasha lamented.

"It's just how things go. We're kinda changing the status quo here. With ARM uniting the different races of Amphibia, there's going to be hardliners that don't want to change things. Either out of a sense of 'tradition', 'power', or just old-fashioned bigotry," Marcy explained.

"Sounds stupid, but I guess I can understand being too stubborn and stupid to know when to change."

Marcy shook her head and gave Sasha a light bonk on the head. "Sashy, don't do that. You're way better than you used to be. And if you can change, then there's hope for them."

Speaking of hope, the doors to their work room opened with a swift "whoosh" sound. And standing behind them was Anne. The two girls stared at their best friend as they saw her stride in with a determined look on her face.

"Hey, Anne…what's up?" Sasha asked.

"I've…I've made my decision," said Anne.

"What decision?" Marcy asked.

"About your confessions."

Sasha spat out her drink as she rushed to her feet. "Whoa, what?! You, uh, you d-decided?!"

"A-Anne, uh…wow, I-I wasn't prepared for this," Marcy stammered.

Anne let out a sigh as she explained, "Look…something happened. I saw a lot of things, and it made me realize that I shouldn't put certain things off. Things like how I feel about you guys. It's a long story, and I'll tell you later, but…I can't choose between you."

Sasha and Marcy had a feeling that this might happen. Anne had a big heart, but they also knew that making her decide between them would make her feel pressured to consider the other's happiness, or loss of happiness if she chose either one over the other.

"We get it," said Sasha. "It was a lot to dump on you in the moment."

"It's okay, Anne. Sasha and I talked about it, and it's fine if you don't want either us or feel that way towards us," Marcy assured.

"I said I can't choose between you two. So…I'm going to do something incredibly selfish and stupid instead!" Anne proclaimed.

Sasha and Marcy looked at each other in confusion, not understanding at all what Anne was getting at.

"I want to go out with both of you! I…I want us to be together as…as girlfriends!" Anne declared.

Sasha's jaw dropped and so did Marcy's.

"Anne…are you suggesting a polyamorous relationship?!" Marcy exclaimed.

"Is that allowed? I mean, I've heard of polygamy, but…"

"I know it sounds stupid, selfish, and makes it sound like I'm indecisive as heck. But…I think we could make it work." Anne stepped forward until she was standing in front of her potential girlfriends. She then held out both of her hands and asked, "That is…I hope you two are willing to give it a chance. Because I believe in us."

Sasha glanced at Marcy, and she glanced at Sasha. The two girls had to admit, they never thought about that as a solution, everyone would win. They'd get to be with Anne, and no one had to feel left out. But the real question is, were they willing to share Anne?

"Mar-Mar, you think you'd be okay with this?" Sasha asked.

"I honestly don't think I mind. And…well…" Marcy blushed as she decided to make another confession. "I can't deny that spending these last couple of months together and seeing how much you've changed since last time…I've kind developed a crush on you, too."

Sasha blushed when she heard that, and Anne chuckled upon seeing the blonde's reaction.

"Oh…uh…wow, I…wow," Sasha blabbered. "I mean, if you're okay with someone like me…both of you! Then…I'd be down for a poly-whatever-ship."

Sasha took Anne's right hand, and Marcy took Anne's left hand. Finally, Sasha and Marcy held hands as the three teens smiled and blushed at their newly formed relationship.

"Why does this feel so awkward and yet right at the same time?" Sasha asked.

"Oh, good, I thought it was just me who felt that way," said Marcy with a smile.

Anne couldn't help but smile as well, it was as she always said, all would be well.

(Indigo Shaman's Universe)

Anne blinked and when she did, she found herself back in Wartwood. Although everyone was right where she left them. Maddie was still being held by her father and siblings, and the healed frogs still had looks of amazement and on their faces from being healed from the poison and their injuries. But Anne was sure they would've all moved around, surely they weren't waiting for her return. Were they?

"Maddie, why are you guys still here?" Anne asked.

"What do you mean?" Maddie asked as she had her father release her.

"I mean, it's been hours since I was gone," Anne clarified.

Maddie gave Anne a confused look. "Hours? Gone?"

Anne furrowed her brow and asked, "Maddie, did anything weird happen just now?"

"You mean aside from what you just asked me?"

"Yes."

"Well…I thought I saw a flash of light, but I'm not entirely sure," Maddie answered.

"I see…" Anne was starting to understand. The goddess-like Anne must've distorted time and space, bringing her back to the exact moment when she was taken. As far as anyone here as concerned, she hadn't been gone at all.

"Master, are you okay? Oops! S-Sorry, that slipped," Maddie apologized.

Anne sighed as she dismissed her tribal attire and returned to her original clothing. The Thai teen walked up to the goth frog girl and ruffled her hair as she smiled down at her. "It's fine, Mads. I'm not gonna sweat the small stuff. Still not a witch though."

Maddie chuckled and looked up at her "master" and asked, "Are you okay? You look like you went through something."

"Ooh, I did. Trust me, it's too dark even for you to know," Anne assured her.

"I've seen Sprig's death in my dreams, it'll be a surprise for him," Maddie informed in a haunting tone.

"…You know what, that doesn't even faze me anymore."

Mayor Toadstool and his impromptu mob walked closer to Anne, with the mayor saying, "Well, Ah guess ya ain't so bad…and…thanks for healin' our townsfolk and whatnot."

"Hey, it's no problem. This place is my home for the time being, and I'm not going to let something, or someone hurt my family. Even if my stay is temporary," said Anne.

"Oh…well…fine then. Alright everyone, let's get to work fixin' up the place," said Toadstool. "That includes you, Boonchuy. Hop to it."

Maddie blinked and so did Anne. The two chuckled at how Toadstool basically acknowledged Anne as part of Wartwood. As Anne headed off to help with the cleanup, she glanced up at the sky.

Sasha, Marcy, I will find you. And we will find a way back. If the other Annes managed to do it, then so can we. And I promise, I'll never take you two for granted.

(Violet Star's Universe)

Anne suddenly lurched forward and nearly took Sasha and Marcy with her in the process. The Star Sapphire blinked, and realized she was back in her own universe. And from the looks of things, it was at the moment of when she was abducted.

"Whoa, babe, you trip on something? Or is Marcy's clumsiness catching?" Sasha teased.

"Hey! Anyway, are you okay, Anne?" Marcy asked.

"Did anything strange just happen?" Anne inquired.

"You mean other than a flash of light going off and then you tripping forward and almost taking us to the floor? Nope," Sasha answered.

"Okay…" Anne quickly brought Sasha and Marcy into a tight hug, which surprised her lovers, well not completely. "Let's go to bed."

"Anne~, you that frisky that you can't wait for us to eat first?" Marcy asked.

"No, I…I just want to hold you guys," Anne insisted as her voice trembled. "I love you guys."

Sasha and Marcy could feel their lover trembling as she held them, and it was then they understood that Anne was upset. For what reason was unclear to them, but that could wait. Their lover was upset, and they needed to attend to her.

"Yeah, sure, let's head to the bedroom," said Sasha.

"We'll have someone bring our food to our room," said Marcy.

After that, the trio headed to their bedroom and got into bed together. True to her word, Anne wasn't in the mood to do anything intimate, she just really wanted to hold and be held by her two girlfriends. The blonde teen and Taiwanese teen could see that Anne was clearly sad about something to the point of tears being shed, but they had no idea why. Was the gravity of everything that they were doing, the ruling of Amphibia, basically running away from Earth to live in Amphibia, the possibility of her parents getting harmed because of their actions, was that all just now hitting her?

"Anne, baby, please tell us what's wrong," Sasha gently asked.

"We're here for you, Anna-banana, just tell us," said Marcy in an understanding tone.

Anne managed to calm down a little and looked each of her lovers in the eyes. "I know this might sound crazy, even with everything we've been through. But that flash of light, someone took me out of this universe and into another…" Anne explained as much as she could about the events of the Blackest Night, about seeing her alternate selves, and fighting against the one that was hellbent on plunging the multiverse into the darkness. "…I…I just wanted to have you guys close. Seeing those different versions of me, it made me realize just how lucky we are that we're together. That I'm with the two of you, like this. And it also made me realize how badly things could've turned out if one thing or another happened."

"…That's just…a lot to take in," Sasha admitted in astonishment.

"The multiverse, alternate realities. And you met several different versions of yourself, and ones of us that weren't exactly nice…" Marcy reiterated as she recalled the parts that Anne told them in regards to Scarlet Avenger, Avatar of Avarice, and Angel of Death.

"I guess we are lucky, even more so. We're the versions of us who managed to be together despite the odds," said Sasha. "I can't imagine what you felt seeing all that right in front of you."

"I'm still processing it, but…like I said, I'm even more glad that we're together. That's why, no matter what happens, I want us to be honest with each other. If there's something wrong, let's talk about it and try to find a solution. I know we'll have fights; no relationship is completely argument free. But at the very least, let's never forget how much we love each other," Anne declared.

Sasha brought her head down and kissed Anne gently on the lips. "We won't. No matter what happens, I won't ever regret being in love with you, Anne Savisa Boonchuy."

Marcy titled Anne's head in her direction and gave her Thai lover a kiss as well. "I agree. After hearing all of that, I think it's destiny that we're together. It was meant to be."

Anne blushed but smiled warmly at her two lovers. "Would it be too kneejerky if I said I wanted to marry you two right now?"

"Uh…I…I…I…" Marcy stammered.

"If-If that's what you want, Anne. Then, uh, y-yeah! Let's tie the knot!" Sasha proclaimed with enthusiasm, and nervousness.

Anne chuckled as she clarified, "Dudes, it's fine. I'm just really emotional right now."

"Completely understandable." Sasha blushed and added, "But…I mean…it's not like I wouldn't want to, just to make it official and say I did put a ring on that."

Anne rolled her eyes.

"I wouldn't mind either, but…maybe when we're older? Like eighteen? I know it's a long way off, but I think it would give us time to sort out our feelings and make sure it's something we'd want. Plus, we'd need to be legal adults to get married," said Marcy.

Anne smirked as she said, "Uh, who's the queen here? Legal marriage age is whatever I say it is here."

"Uh…"

"Um…"

"…Yeah, in hindsight, that sounded wrong. Okay, eighteen it is then."

The trio cuddled closer, and Sasha just had to say, "Plus, it'll give us an idea of you'll grow up to be as hot as your mom."

"Really, Sash? We're having a moment, and you bring that up? Wait…are you saying you think my mom's hot?!" Anne exclaimed.

"Weeeellll…" Marcy let that dangle in the air.

"I can't believe you two! You two only wanted to go out with me because you were hoping I'd look like my Mom when I'm older, right?!" Anne accused.

"No, Anne, we love you and wanted to go out with you because of you," Marcy assured.

Sasha shrugged. "Yeah. You becoming a hot MILF like your mom is just a bonus."

"I hate you two."

"We love you too, Anne," the two replied.

"I want a divorce!"

"We're not married yet," they responded.

"Fine, we'll get married tomorrow, and then I'm divorcing your cute assess!"

"No, you're not~" they sang.

Anne sighed heavily and held her lover's closer. "Just shut up and hug me."

(Saint Anne's Universe)

Thankfully, there were at least some happy endings to go around. Thanks to her and the other Annes, most of the people who were killed and turned into Black Lanterns had their life restored, which included Marcy's parents. Those who were resurrected from the grave had their bodies reduced to ash and their souls freed to return to their original resting places. Anne wished she could give them back their bodies to bury, but Anne wasn't sure she could do that without fully bringing them back to life.

The cleanup efforts for Los Angles and the surrounding areas were extensive, as was the efforts around the world for what the Blackest Night wrought. But thankfully, this world had its hero, the White Lantern, to help with that. Of course, she took breaks in between, but thanks to the power of the ring, her health wouldn't be an issue since it could heal her of any malady her body might get, virus or otherwise. And as much as Mr. X wanted to keep this under wraps, the level of destruction far exceeded that of Frog-vasion, and there was no level of coverup that was going to keep people from knowing what happened during the "Blackest Night". So, Mr. X decided to get ahead of the information war that was soon to sprout. He released what information he could, and after convincing Anne to wear a mask to conceal her identity, he was able to release that information as "The Saint, the White Lantern of Life".

Of course, there were many religious people who denounced her title of "saint", and some were calling her a "false god". But Anne, while in uniform and with her mask on, assured everyone that she never proclaimed herself to be a god, nor was she looking for people to worship her. She was given the power to protect life, and she was going to do that. Thankfully, being friends with a living god gave Mr. X a lot of leeway when it came to how he could handle Anne, which translated to allowing her to do as she pleased. She could wipe out an entire nation or bring it back to life with a wave of her hand if she so wished, who was really going to argue with her?

Another thing to be thankful for was Marcy's identity not being leaked. With the chaos of the Blackest Night, ground zero of the event could not be identified. So, Marcy's zombie resurrection couldn't be traced as the original. Then there was the Angel of Death, the Black Lantern Anne, who arrived to continue what Marcy started. That battle wasn't captured on video. There were snippets of the battle online, but since it was from people who were running for their lives, the footage could barely be considered high quality, so it was safe to assume that no one was going to figure out that there were at least nine different versions of Anne Boonchuy fighting in Los Angeles for the fate of the multiverse.

For the time being, the Boonchuy and Waybright families were making use of the bunker that they took shelter in during the attack. It would serve as their temporary living arrangement until all three families had places they could go back to. And it helped to keep the girls together, especially for Marcy's sake as she was still getting over how she brought about all this death and destruction. The Taiwanese teen was lamenting her actions as she sat down and looked at the newsfeeds on her computer.

"Once again, I managed to hurt more people," said Marcy.

Sasha walked up and pushed the screen of the laptop down as she gave Marcy a serious glare. "Nuh-uh, none of that. Don't go blaming yourself for this."

"Can't I? I'm willing to give you that the Core made me do all those things during the invasion. But this go around, it was all me. I decided to give into my dark thoughts, and I decided to wear the black ring," Marcy reminded. "My own Mom and Dad can hardly look at me. And I don't blame them. I said horrible things to them right before I…I ripped their hearts out and made them my zombie slaves."

That was something that neither Anne nor Sasha could deny. While Xia and Ling Wu were informed about Marcy returning to normal, and free of the dark influence, her parents…weren't exactly in a hurry to see her. Not for a lack of means, since Mr. X offered to secure the Wus private transportation to bring them to see Marcy. But they refused and believed that they needed some distance from her, assuring him that they were okay with her being looked after by Mr. X and asserting that they were alright with either the Boonchuys or Waybrights looking after her for a while.

"Give 'em some time, Mar-Mar. They just need to process this thing, we all do, really," said Anne.

"I know…but I still don't think I deserve to be with either of you."

"Ugh," Sasha raised her fist and bonked Marcy on the head.

"Ow! Sashy!"

"For a genius, you can be pretty dumb. We forgave you, Marcy. I know it's going to be hard, but you need to try and forgive yourself. You made mistakes, and Frog knows neither of us is going to stop making mistakes, big, small, or cataclysmic. But like a wise a super girl once told me, forgiveness isn't easy. We have to work towards it. And Anne and I will be here every step of the way," Sasha assured.

Anne walked closer and sat down on Marcy's left as she brought her into a hug. "Sasha's right, we'll be here for you. And I'll make sure your life is filled with light to chase away the darkness."

Marcy teared up and leaned against Anne's shoulder. Sasha sat down on Marcy's right and wrapped her arm around the Taiwanese teen as well.

"And I'll be here to remind you of how cute and nerdy you are," said Sasha. "You're stuck with us, Mar-Mar. So, you better get used to it."

Marcy chuckled as she replied, "Oh, what a terrible fate. Guess I'll just have to endure it."

Anne rolled her eyes. "You lucky you're cute."

"Which reminds me, you said that the violet-colored Anne was…um…" Sasha gulped. "Getting it on with her Sasha and Marcy. Like, as a throuple thing?"

Anne blushed hard, and so did Marcy. "W-Why did you have to bring that up?! Y-You're not saying we should…?"

"AH! Sashy, I haven't prepared my heart!" Marcy exclaimed.

"No! I mean…ugh! What I'm saying is…those versions of us managed to be more than friends. I was thinking…maybe we could give that a try? T-To be clear, I meant the throuple thing, not the other thing!" Sasha clarified.

"Oh…" Anne rubbed the back of her head as she replied, "I wouldn't mind."

"If you two are really okay with someone like me, then I'd be happy to," said Marcy.

"So, it's official. We're each other's girlfriends."

"Yeah."

"Guess we are."

"…"

"…"

"…"

"Now what?" Anne asked.

"Should we kiss to make it official?" Marcy questioned.

"Um, I-I guess," Sasha told them.

"You've been on more dates than me or Marcy. Out of the three of us, you have more dating experience, Sash," Anne pointed out.

Sasha blushed as she retorted, "Y-Yeah, but not with two girls I've known most of my life! T-This is different! Those others…I…I didn't really feel what I'm feeling for you two, so…I'm nervous as hell, okay!"

Marcy and Anne giggled at Sasha's flustered state. It was reassuring to hear that none of them had any clue what to do. With that in mind, Marcy took the initiative and kissed Anne and Sasha on their cheeks, causing both teens to blush harder.

"M-Marcy!" they stammered.

"I'm not confident enough for a lip-to-lip kiss, not yet. So…I hope you guys can settle for that," said Marcy.

She's too cute, Anne and Sasha thought.

The blonde and Thai teens responded by kissing Marcy on her right and left cheeks respectively.

Little did the teens know, Oum and Bee Boonchuy were secretly watching their daughter and her friends. They had come to see if the girls were doing alright, but it seemed as if they were more than alright.

"Ha! Honey, you owe me that gaming computer I was wanting!" Bee whispered in excitement.

"Oh, c'mon, Bee! This was a million and one chance! You just assumed this might happen, not every friendship between girls ends up like this," Oum retorted in a low whisper.

"Doesn't matter, it happened, now pay up!"

"…We're in a bunker, and the world is still recovering from a zombie apocalypse."

"…What's your point?"

"Ugh, you're lucky you're cute."

The multiverse is vast, and ever changing. Promising many things, happiness, tragedy, hope, these things are abundant. The power of the Lights of the Emotional Spectrum found their way to these different universes, and in the process changed the trajectory of each Anne Boonchuys' life, for better and for worse, and somewhere in between. But it will be up to them how they decide to wield their lights going forward, and may their foes beware their light…

"…You think you know how the story ends…?"

"With Anne always in the limelight? Always getting the girls and saving the day?"

"Sometimes to the biggest threats are the ones that are closest to you..."

"An Unseen Threat you could've never imagined..."

"I'll see you soon...Sis."

"Ahahahaha...Hahahahahahaha...Ahahahahahahaha...!"

To Be Concluded...
