Inside there is a Demon

Konoha was experiencing a great day. Everyone was in high spirits and people were chatting and interacting with one another. The sun was bright above the village, money was flowing regularly through the village, and it would seem that everything was going well.
In the academy students were gathered in the front of the school and all of them were chatting with one another and discussing the upcoming event. Most were excited while some were nervous with how they were going to do.
A few were very arrogant about the situation, believing they will shine through no matter the situation. Those people in particular was a black hair boy with black eyes wearing a blue collared shirt and white shorts, a red hair boy with whisker marks on his face and grey eyes and wearing the ugliest orange jumpsuit, next to him was a red hair girl with her hair in pig tails and blue eyes and whiskers on her face. The final one of this group was a black hair girl with black eyes and wearing the same blue collar shirt with the white and red fan on the back and black shorts and sandals.
These four in particular were considered the highest ranking members of the potential genin in the entire village. Each were talented in their own way; regardless, the red-haired boy was the shortest among them and considered the runt in height to the class. He was still strong in his own right and was viewed as a prodigy similar to his father and mother.
Next to them, the girl was equally a prodigy similar to that of his parents while the two black hair children were considered up and rising stars among the children.
These four were the children of the Hokage and the son and daughter of the Uchiha clan head. Menma Uzumaki Namikaze, Kyoa Uzumaki Namikaze, Sasuke Uchiha, and Tara Uchiha.
While they were chatting one person was sitting off on the side leaning against a tree with his hands behind the back of his head and his eyes were closed. He is wearing a simple black long sleeve top and long sleeve bottoms while wearing some basic slip on shoes.
His hair was long and gold, going down his back to the point that he had it tied up in a ponytail and while most couldn't see his eyes, they knew they were blue.
This, was Naruto Uzumaki Namikaze.
The Black Sheep, the Runt, the Disgrace, the Discarded One, the Problem Child, and the list goes on.
Naruto growing up knew that his treatment was not normal but he didn't really pay much attention to his growing up. He didn't care what people thought about him after a few years of going through this mess.
His parents made it apparent to him that he was unwanted and that his siblings were their hopes for the future. Same with his godfather Jiraiya and godmother Tsunade who always seemed to like spending more time with his siblings than him. Kakashi his godbrother was another person similar to the rest of his family. All the training, love, affection, care, and just general attention went to them.
At first it hurt Naruto but as he grew he started to distancing himself more from his family and finding it kinda numbing. Not painful anymore but just that he was so numb to the sensation that he just couldn't bother to muster up the energy to give a shit.
But that changed when his parents announced his siblings as the next heirs over him and he while heartbroken, he was more angry. That they were justifying their decision with the fact that he was lazy, unwilling to train, and that it was better that his siblings have the power in the future.
Naruto knew that his siblings once they had the chance they would have him disowned and banished from the family without hesitation finding him more of a scar on their family name. Seeing him as nothing more than a mistake, they told him this, and also treating him as less than garbage. Whenever they could taunt him, argue with him, and blame him for their failures mistakes. It got so bad that no one believed him in the least and all he did was end up punished or ridiculed publicly.
Over time, the public and other clans adopted the same point of view of him and while some were not active in his mistreatment, they didn't help him and left him to his own devices when they had the option to help.
Naruto felt his life meant nothing and that he was just floating without a purpose, but his fortune changed on his 8th birthday.
"Alright students!"
Naruto's attention from the past is brought back to the present when he saw a brown hair teacher with a scar over his nose standing there with a smile on his face.
"Please everyone gather around!"
The students did but Naruto refused remaining situated underneath the tree making Iruka frown but sigh.
"Alright as you know your parents are coming to watch our Taijutsu tournament so everyone do your best and I'm sure you'll find praise for your efforts even if you don't make it far."
Naruto rolled his eyes.
'This is so pointless, I want to train, wonder if the hag will show up.'
Naruto remained underneath the tree while the teacher explained the rules of the tournament and allowed the parents and clans to filter into the area. Most of them were high ranking clan members including the current heads and some of their direct subordinates including other children.
Naruto saw his parents sitting off on the side watching his siblings with smiles on their faces and Kushina, a red hair woman, talking animatedly with a black hair woman who was smiling and giggling about something.
Naruto didn't may much attention to them, just glad that after this he could leave and go find the old hag.
Naruto heard the announcement of the first fight which pitted some pink hair girl shouting about true love to a blond girl she was fighting. The minute the fight started Naruto could only sigh and fall asleep.
Nothing worth watching in his mind.
Off on the side; Menma was glaring at his brother for being so lazy and stupid. How couldn't he pay attention? It reminded him one of the reasons that his parents always told him that they were destined for great things. Naruto was just a mistake and something he hoped one day to correct with his removal from their family.
Kyoa, she was of the same mind as her brother and just glaring at Naruto and glaring at the girls for failing to show what women could do in their field of work.
Sasuke scoffed at Naruto and his sister did the same, not bothering to even acknowledge him.
The adults however, Minato frowned at his son and sighed.
'Naruto why can't you take this more seriously? This is a important day to see what you have to work on and improve on. But you are just sleeping? I wonder where we went wrong with raising you.'
Kushina frowned, it would seem her son hadn't pay attention to her lessons and now she had to once again beat the lazy nature out of him, again.
Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Kakashi weren't bothering to pay attention just talking about which of the children would win this event and gambling on the event getting frowns from those around them.
The fights continued on after Sakura barely managed to edge out Ino which received her scolding from her father and mother.
Kiba defeated his opponent which was a civilian.
Menma and Kyoa both smashed their opponents with ease and so did Sasuke's sister.
All the fight progressed with the predictable result of the clan children being still in the tournament other than the Haruno girl but they wrote that off as more luck.
The final bout was about to begin,
"Naruto Wake UP!" Iruka got a big head and shouted at his least talented student.
Naruto yawned and rubbed his eyes,
"Oh is it my turn?" Naruto got off the ground, dusted the grass off his pants, and walked to the center with his hands in his pockets. "Well?"
Sasuke walked into the center and smirked,
"You should just forfeit and save yourself the embarrassment after all no one can defeat an Uchiha elite."
Naruto stared while putting his finger into his ear and started picking it clean.
Sasuke growled,
"Hey loser are you listening your superior is talking to you!"
Naruto finally pulled his finger out of his ear and held up some ear wax,
"Geez that thing was wedged deep in there." He flicked it at Sasuke and it hit the center of his head.
This made Sasuke roar and charge him.
"Wait Sasuke I didn't say-"
The boy ran at Naruto who just stood there with a bored expression on his face before sighing.
Minato just shook his head,
"Naruto why do you continue to shame yourself like this you could easily have reached great heights if you just tried."
Jiraiya just pat his students shoulder knowing this felt like a black mark on their family history.
"Wait what the hell!" Everyone turned to the fight and saw Naruto standing off to the side with Sasuke face first in the dirt.
"Seems like you tripped." Naruto shrugged his shoulders, "Well whatever, I forfeit." Naruto walked away from Sasuke who was glaring at his back, "This is such a waste of energy, I could be training." Naruto yawned, "Or napping both sound pretty good."
Sasuke heard his sister snicker,
"It would seem the dead last got the better of you brother pretty shameful to act in such a manner in front of our parents and sibling no?"
Sasuke turned his glare to her and she saw his face was red and he was reaching into his pouch. Her eyes widened,
"Sasuke stop!"
He pulled out a kunai and charged at Naruto's exposed back. He raised the blade and aimed it at the teen's neck and smirked darkly as he was about to hit his mark.
Soon he felt his head going straight up,
'huh? What just happened I was sure-,'
His vision darkened and he felt a thump on the back of his head and he soon knew nothing else.
Naruto pulled his fist from Sasuke's face and looked at the blood dripping off his knuckles.
"Huh? I guess I need to hold back even more that could have killed him," Naruto whispered.
Naruto turned from him and sighed while swiping the blood from his knuckle.
Everyone stared in shock, Minato and Kushina being the most shocked by their son's sudden action and behavior.
Seeing him walking away they rushed to him and grabbed him.
Naruto turned his head slightly to them and stared with a bored expression.
"Yes?"
"Naruto," Minato frowned, "What you just did, you could have killed Sasuke."
Naruto continued staring,
"Well I did say I tried to hold back or are you saying I should have allowed him to hit me with the kunai, leading to being possibly paralyzed or even killed by his actions?"
Minato blushed in embarrassment realizing he was in the right.
Kushina however wasn't letting him off the hook.
"Regardless you need to show more restraint that could have been a different situation if you have actually killed him."
Naruto shrugged his shoulder,
"If he died then he died. That's all there is to it."
Everyone that heard him froze in shock, Mikoto the most terrified of the situation that her son about got himself.
"Naruto! How could you say that about a friend!"
"What friend?" Naruto turned completely to her, "I think you are under the impression that I care for him in some manner that is familiar. I'm sorry to say I don't. To me, he is just like everyone around me; just people I know but nothing beyond that. If my strike had killed him, then so be it. He was weak enough to die from that blow then he was not meant for a long life."
Naruto turned from his mother and pulled free from her grip but soon found himself confronting his father who was glaring at him with him just appearing in front of him.
"Naruto." He growled in disappointment, "This is exactly why your mother and I are so embarrassed when you are here. You act as if this is nothing, sleep all the time, and barely train."
Naruto raised an eyebrow,
"Really since when did you care about my training you haven't taught me a single thing. As far as I could remember it has always been about the younger ones." Naruto shrugged his shoulders with his eyes, "Not that it bothers me, I just stopped caring." Naruto pushed past him but Minato grabbed his shoulder with a dark glare on his face and some of the people around them backing away in fear.
"There is another reason we need to talk, I need to know where you learned to fight like that?"
Naruto looked at him and then turned away,
"Not really your business really. I mean, what I learned is what I learned nothing special."
"Naruto this could be instrumental in helping your peers in improving don't you want to help them?"
"Not really."
Everyone was again flabbergasted.
"If my peers believe their such hot shit and better than me, then there is nothing that I could help with them. That was purely speed and precision, nothing more. Anything beyond that, well I don't really feel sharing."
Minato grew more irriated, but Jiraiya butted in.
"Brat look if you are learning from someone we need to know who. I mean for all you know they could be using you to get to the twins and if so then we can invite them to train the twins."
"You do realize they are not really twins right?"
Jiraiya snorted,
"They were born at the same time so they are twins, shows what you know brat." He puffed his chest out, "Not as worldly as myself."
Naruto shrugged.
"Suit yourself." Naruto began walking away again but this time Jiraiya grabbed him. Naruto exhaled his irritation. He just wanted to leave and go train with the hag.
"Brat who are you training under?"
"None of your business."
"Damn it brat this is an order!"
Naruto turned his head,
"So does that mean you'll tell everyone here what the twins trained in?"
"Why is that relevant?"
"Because if I'm sharing what I know they should do the same no?"
Jiraiya glared harder, Tsunade having enough of the brat's attitude grabbed him by the front of his top and lifted him up to face her.
"Listen up you little shit I have had it with your attitude. Either answer the questions or I'll pry them out of your head or we can have Inoichi do it." She smirked, "Your choice."
Naruto stared at her in boredom.
She growled,
"Suit yourself you little shitstain!"
She raised her fist back and everyone was surprised but no one moved to help.
Her fist stopped just short of his face and this shocked her seeing that she can't move her arm.
"Who the hell is-"
"That would be me brat."
Turning her head she paled, the person holding her arm was a older woman. She was shorter than Tsunade but not by much. In one hand she had a cane and was standing there with a angry expression on her face. Her eyes were the most distinct being black with gray pupils, glaring holes through Tsunade's head.
"Lady Kure!"
Tsunade grunted as she felt the pressure increase in her shoulder and she dropped the child.
Naruto landing on his feet dusted himself and stared at Lady Kure.
"Your age catching up to you old hag?"
Everyone gasped and Minato quickly hit his son on the back of his head.
"Naruto!" He pushed his head down and bowed his own head, "Lady Kure I apologize for my son's brash behavior. Rest assured the rest of my family doesn't act like this and he shall be disciplined the minute we get home."
Minato lifted his head hoping to appease Lady Kure but all he saw as her staring at him and then him being sent flying laying on his back.
Minato could feel the pain in his chest but he didn't see the movement.
'Wha?'
"Next time you damn brat, don't assume." She dusted her hand off.
Naruto deadpanned,
"You tell me I have a short temper old hag but you seem to be getting worse as time passes. I mean no surprise age does that to people."
Lady Kure snorted,
"Don't get ahead of yourself prideful brat, you are still 200 years too weak to even touch me at my peak." She smiled darkly, "After all I'm a true maiden."
Naruto rolled his eyes.
He knew she wasn't wrong; she had light skin, some small signs of wrinkles on her face and on her body, her chest was not fairly big and her height was on the shorter side of the spectrum. But that happens when you get older.
She had long silver and black hair that seem to highlight her features and she stood there with pride and carrying a cane in her right hand.
Naruto knew she didn't needed to carry it with her to walk but she said,
'Bandits and dumbasses underestimate someone who carries a cane and don't realize that they don't need it or that there is a weapon inside of the cane.'
Naruto never questioned her on it but he just thought it was because of her back.
Yeah he is a dick.
"Come brat, since your not participating in this childish game we shall continue with your training."
Naruto nodded his head before following Lady Kure.
"Lady Kure!"
The woman turned her head, staring at Jiraiya,
"What do you want brat your burning day light?"
"You're the one that taught him how to fight?"
The woman stared,
"I don't see how that matters but yes he is my only student and this little shit is more of a headache than most I deal with and I have a family full of people like him."
"But then why bother training him?" Jiraiya smiled and waved his arms to the twins who puffed their chests out, "I mean we have the prodigies over here! They are learning everything they can and are stand outs among their age group! Surely they would benefit from learning from the Kure family and more so if they could maybe even learn some of your family's secret-"
He found himself staring at the woman who grabbed him by the balls and started lightly squeezing them.
Jiraiya squealed from the sudden pain.
"You know it astounds me how stupid people are. But allow me to paint this as bluntly as possible for the rest of you so there is no misunderstanding and signs that you should try this," She gave a dark glare, "Naruto is my one and only student. He is learning what I teach him and that is it. Anything that comes to him in terms of politics becomes MY business as I won't have some cock sucking villagers trying to intrude on my personal affairs." She smiled, "But we can talk to the Fire Lord and see what his thoughts on the matter."
Everyone paled and shook their heads.
She nodded her head,
"I didn't think so." Turning from the group, "Now come Naruto we have more training to do and I want you to double whatever your doing."
Naruto walked slightly behind his master with his hands behind his head.
"Really, geez the current schedule is already so stressful."
"Triple it!"
"Okay."
"Smartass! I'm not above spanking you!"
"Try it hag you might break your hip."
Everyone could hear them arguing with one another as they continue to retreat from the group but Minato could only stare at the pair and narrow his eyes.
'She is wasting her time, I must speak to her and her clan about this in the hopes of convincing them to come and help us train the twins. After all they are the ones that will bring peace to the land.'
Minato smiled proudly, yes he can imagine it. His two children standing at the top one wearing the Hokage hat, him watching from behind with a proud smile on his face, and the world cheering their name.
Naruto laid forgotten even in this vision of the future.
Arriving in the forest of death, Naruto rolled his shoulders before taking off his top showing his amazingly tight ripped body and Lady Kure smiled,
"Okay brat, go full power and lets see what we have to work with."
Naruto raised an eyebrow, before releasing a small smirk.
"Don't complain if you die."
Naruto soon was covered in a dark purple mist of chakra and soon exploding revealing his body. It was completely purple with him having veins appearing all over his body and standing there with a grin on his face.
"Lets get started."
"Ah to be young, your still inexperienced."
So begins another training session of the Shinigami of the Shinobi World and her apprentice who will soon be known as the Demon of the Leaf.
