Breathing styles come from the creative to even the most deadly advantage. one of those is the most off putting but dangerous breathing styles. Meet Obanai Iguro also known as The "Serpent Hashira".

Obanai is a tall lean muscular man that has black hair and a condtion with his eyes that is colored known as heterochromia. His right eye is yellow and the left eye is turquoise rendering him into a near blind state. He wears a black and white striped haori and is covered in bandages, mostly the mouth is covered. Like all demon slayers he holds the demon corps uniform and is approximately twenty one years old. The most astounding feature he possesses is a snake; A white japanese snake coiled around his neck at all times, making him one of the only hashira who possess no crow. The snake is named "Kaburamaru" to which obanai treasures him as his friend.

Obanai is one of the most strict and serious characters making him almost menacing looking like a mysterious villain in the background. Given this, he is not a nice guy or is he fair. In several ocassions he is shown to disdain the weak and sees the strong as a fitting until they die to their breaths and even used the lesser demon slayers as nothing more than obstacle's when it came to the hashira training.He also opposes the demons and will merciless kill them on the spot no matter how many.

Despite his ruthless and aloof nature, Obanai foes hold severak attachments to his comrades such as kaburamaru and mitsuri. To sanemi and himself both are like the sides of a coin but have a deeper connection to each other. Deep down, He is a broken man who burdens himself of being born as the person he is today.

So who is Obanai?

Well as it comes to show, Obanai like the rest who have a tragic backstory but with a disturbing twist. Since his childhood he was the first male to be born out of his siblings as the household he resided in was all of woman and daughters. He had all fifty siblings and over the course of three hundred seventy years he was the first male to exist.

The household rich and seemingly peaceful had a much darker secret, containing a snake demon. This demon made itself as the secret behind the atrocities the family commited for theft and murder in order to sustain it and in return they are rewarded with wealth. Obanai was introduced to the demon when he was twelve but rather than killing him the monster carved an agaped scar into his mouth making form like the lips of a snake as it took a liking him too well.

Sheltered and imprisoned, Obanai was fed, Cleaned but unable to leave his cage as the air he breathed in become his and his room becoming inert, nothing more than a prison. Until one night a snake came to his room in fear obanai thought this was his preparation as death was upon him. But rather than biting him, the snake curiosity interacted with the poor soul, both struggled to hold their fears but after sometime theu became best friends forging a bond like a puppy and human.

On the night he managed to escape from his cell, furious and hungry. The demon murdered all his family members remaining with only one cousin. Moments before he could be devoured, Rengoku's father the former flame hashira decapitated the demon ending it's reign for good.

However destiny wasnt kind to him. As the sole survivor of his family, the cousin dispised him angrily claiming how much damage he caused and would rather saw him die then the others. Leaving him as they parted ways. As a result obanai loathed himself as a monster. The ghosts of his family haunt his very being, wishing he was never born.

To this day, He joined the demon slayer corps and took his hate and might against the demons that corrupted his being since childhood. But Obanai will always tell himself he was and always responsible for the deaths he caused. No matter how much he'll forget, those memories will haunt him until death.

He invented is own breathing style known as Serpent breathing. This breathing style is originally formated from water breathing. This style can hit a target in multiple spots as if they were being attacked by a snake itself. His sword is S shaped and combined with his breathing style makes his attacks unpredictable and swift due to the pattern.

Another interesting fact about Obanai, unlike other hashira he requires no need of nutrition for three days making him have the smallest appetite of them all. Why he doesn't eat as regular as other people his due to his past and self hatred.

He can also kaburamaru as his second pair of eyes, He never seperates from his snake and the two are mostly seen together at all times.

So what would happen if he joined the loki familia?

Well, This would be a sort of pickle in a 50/50 deal. First off as we know, Obanai is extremely strict and doesnt take lightheartedness for a second even on missions. If he were around loki who would be under alcoholism and parties he would belittle her status and behavior. But if presented in a different environment then perhaps he might have a change. however he stil retains his place as a hashira and lives by it's title.

For allies such as lower adventurers he would not get along with them and would ignore them as if they are dirt in his fingernails with only complaining how weak they are. Even for the higher Adventurers, he would admire and have respect for several but not as what he suspects. And to worry what hes like to them, Obanai would be seen like a freak in the crowd where he gives the impression of an assassin. But he would listen upon Finn's commands.

He will not do much as to aid or provide adventurers help or necessities even if they are short in numbers. But he will however kill the enemy when faced upon him. He would mostly go on solo missions and get the job done. He will not want a party provided for him, Hes a loner who choses to do things by himself.

If he were in the dungeon, He can take on higher monsters than himself, Targeting specific spots on the body doing crippling damage. One Form of his serpent breathing can kill multiple targets in one, This can be used for killing smaller monsters. Even without food he can survive with limited resources pending where he goes. If he were blind or ambushed kaburamaru can sense the presence of other monsters informing obanai of where they would attack. However due to his limited blindness he has a short amount of time to see into the transparent world.

The Transparent world is a vision where the user can sense and see the weak spots of the enemey both organs and body internals.

Obanai is one tough survivor and killing monsters will be just like the demons. If faced with one of the friendly kind, he will not hesitate and kill them on the spot. No matter how much bell will plead it will not matter to him.

All in all, Obanai is the quote "Monster's aren't born, there created." He sees himself as a monstrosity and deserves to die and would rather be reborn as a new being if he ever reincarnates.
