My Name is Ran, Ran Uzumaki

Note: Ran in Japanese means orchid.

Synopsis: Ran has lived a life of hell in the Hidden Leaf, after so many attacks on her, both verbal and physical she hides away from the rest of the village. A conflicted student who is hated and shunned by the village and her peers not understanding why, her teachers are not any better with the exception of two. However, Ran passes sympathy as pity, which does not want. One day another student in the academy plays a cruel prank on her inadvertently changing her life forever.

Third POV

A flash of red is running through the village trying to escape from her attackers "Get out of here" they shout. As the girl runs some wood falls from the roofs causing the debris to hit some of her pursuers causing them to freak out "DEMON" the mob screams. The runner does not look back as she keeps running with warm tears in her eyes and she thinks 'I never should have set foot outside today, even if it was a school day. The Sensis' didn't want me there, in fact they never wanted me there' she thought as she got to her home.

She gets into her house, slams, locks the door and barricades all openings. Ran Uzumaki has barely escaped yet another attack in her nine years in the village, it is her ninth year and the anniversary of the fox attack. She is out of breath and goes straight to her room in a nearly rundown apartment and "why is it me" she asks herself. She gets what little food she has since going through trash to find anything, and as she passes a mirror all she sees in that reflection is a worn-out child with rags on, withered looks, hollow eyes that lack a sense of life and distinct birthmarks under her eyes.

Ran's POV

I don't know how I managed to get away from that mob just like I don't why I am treated like a demon as they call me. "Who am I? What am I?" I often ask myself. Once again looking outside of my makeshift blinds to see if any of them followed me back, to my surprise the Anbus were right outside getting the mob to back away. "Leave now by order of Lord Third" the Anbu commander shouted. 'Least the mob is gone' I thought. Then a knock at the door "RAN" shouted someone I knew, it was the Hokage. However, I did not want to open that door thinking it was a trick.

I went silent and hide under that bed and remained silent "RAN" the voice shouted again. 'Not this time' I thought as kept my mouth shut. Last time I opened the door for someone claiming to be the Hokage it was a trick and I got eggs thrown at me.

Third POV

The Third Hokage felt he had to see if Ran was ok 'if only the nine tails never came' he thought. He tried knocking again "Ran" he called again suspecting she might have been injured. "Let me try" Shibi Aburame asked. "Very well then" Lord Third stated as he let the Aburame through to use his insects to see if Ran was in the dwelling.

"She's under that bed and she has the place full of traps" Shibi answered. "I will disable all of them so we can see" he added. Ran noticed all of the traps falling and the door slowly opening. Her eyes widened with fear "GET OUT OF HERE LEAVE ME ALONE" Ran screamed as the shinobi entered her home. Her fear caused some of the items in the house to move, fly off the table, bed, windowsill, plant pots to shatter.

Shikaku Nara and Inoichi Yamanaka acted quickly to ensure more of their own were not harmed 'her powers are awakening' Lord Third thought. He knew of an Uzumaki with the rare gift of being able to access nature powers. Lord Hokage knew a member of the scattered Uzumaki clan could control Earth, Lightning, Earth, Air and Water could be dangerous, especially if they are corned like Ran was at the moment. Nara managed to keep her still with his shadows and not harm her at the same time. The Hokage tried to explain once Ran was released but she would have none of it and slammed the door. "JUST GO AWAY" she screamed debris, stone, ant sized fire and ice balls hitting anyone within range.

Lord Hokage's POV

After I returned to the tower, I had taken notes on her home and how she had to live. 'I have to make changes for her I need to get Iruka to take her to her new living space where she will be watched' I thought. I knew the mob could have been harmed a lot more if she was corned and none of the Anbu let alone shinobi expected to see this type of power awaken.

I saw those eyes, hollow and she looked rather sick which could explain why she was not doing well and was getting worse. This was a concern, she was very lethargic, looked very thin and this was not good. 'Minato Kushina I will make things right and make sure your child gets better. Those eyes when her powers awakened, she looked angry about being bothered again.

I wrote the order to move Ran Uzumaki into a better living space. 'I hope to help her and make her think she is not a demon nor the fox' I thought.

Third POV

Once a shinobi got the order to give to Ran, he set it on his desk. His son Hibachi saw it and read it and made changes claiming she was to be banished. 'There since everyone wants her to go away and no one wants her here anyway' Hibachi thought as his dad took the scroll of orders to Ran. As soon as Ran read it she knew 'so that's it go away and never come back, gladly I hate it here'.

Ran's POV

'Dragged here against my will' I thought as I trudged into the academy and wrote everything down in the journal about my banishment then out of nowhere "it was Ran" one of the students said. "Ran get out wait in the hallway" Iruka sensi pointed at the door. I didn't see any point in arguing and not staying so I went to that awful place I have been forced to live in and just get out. On my way out I showed the guard the order and he pointed outside the village and left with my head down.

Iruka's POV

Once class was over, I went to get Ran but she was gone "Ran" I called out and I asked the other teachers if they had seen her. "No" "Haven't see her since you kicked her out of class and I got her journal she dropped it on her way out" one of the replies I got said. I read all of it. 'Banished' I thought thinking I read it all wrong.

I went to the Hokage who read it and he got the shinobi "what are you talking about I never opened it" he replied. The guard brought in confirmed the order of her banishment. All Shinobi both Chūnin and Jōnin were gathered about Ran's disappearance.

I regrated saying all those terrible things to her she didn't deserve it; she was sick and needed help not this and now she's gone. 'Please be alright Ran if you are found I promise I won't look at you like the fox, you had nothing to do with it' I thought.
