Harry tells all- book 1.
Chapter 1
Harry sits on a chair in Grimmauld Place, quietly brooding about how miserable his life has been. Entering the room, Sirius Black walks over to his godson and claps a hand on his shoulder. Harry looks up at the sensation and smiles warmly at his Godfather and gives him a tight hug.
Next into the room, came Remus Lupin, The Weasley Family and Albus Dumbledore. Following them, were Minerva McGonagall, Emmeline Vance, Aberforth Dumbledore, Severus Snape and Alastor Moody. The rest of the Order enter followed by Professors Sprout, Flitwick, Vector and Sinistra. Last to enter is Harry's first friend, the Half Giant, Rubeus Hagrid.
Sighing in trepidation, Harry walks around in agitation and noticing this Sirius looks up in alarm and draws the attention of Albus Dumbledore.
Walking over, Albus and Sirius talk quietly and ultimately, decide to get Harry's attention and discuss this in a calm manner as a group.
Starting the discussion, Harry stands up and faces the group. He nervously clears his throat and with all eyes on him, he begins.
Harry looks up and smiles. Turning towards dumbledore he tells him fiercely that he ruined his life. With the horrified gasp of his audience and a look of shock on Albus Dumbledore's face. He says it all began on October 31st, 1981. With a glare towards dumbledore he says, "you dumped me on the doorstep of the worst people imaginable my so-called relatives the Dursleys". "Which has been the worst decision you could ever have made."
Shocked, Dumbledore asks, "Why do you feel that way, Harry?"
In response, Harry lifts his shirt, and carefully points out each scar littered across his body. Pointing at one near his stomach, he states, "this is where Uncle Vernon whipped me with his leather belt, pointing at another area he says, Vernon whipped me here too" he shows them the whip marks littered all over his back.
Openly sobbing, Dumbledore apologises repeatedly saying through sobs "I'm so sorry Harry, I, we never realised how bad the Dursley's behaviour was" To which Harry responds with, "as long as you truly did not know and willingly condoned their physical punishment, then its ok, you are forgiven". He then turns around and says, "that's the remnants of the Dursleys but I'm afraid that there is more, so much more that you need to know about".
He glares at the headmaster and the deputy headmistress and states, "there's more" and lifts up his sleeve, and showing them the long scar on his arm down to his elbow, saying " this scar was where I was bitten by the Basilisk at the end of my second year" and lifting his right hand, he says "and of course, you mustn't forget this" " this scar is courtesy of Dolores Umbridge, during detention, and sarcastically says "our beloved high inquisitor".
Harry takes a breath and says, "this is why I was cross with you both this year." Turning towards Dumbledore, he says, "you ignored me for the whole year" turning towards McGonagall, he says "and you didn't listen to me when I tried to tell you about the detentions, instead telling me to keep my head down" "It felt like first year all over again, being treated as someone who should be seen and not heard".
With his rant over, Harry stands there, eyebrow raised as if to say 'well'? Meanwhile, everyone just stands there, mouth agape in total silence and shock.
Albus Dumbledore works up the courage to approach harry but is cautious because he can feel the anger pouring from him. He steps up in front of him and with a weary and apologetic look on his face, says "Harry, I'm so incredibly sorry about all of this, I never knew anything about the Dursley's treatment of you, and I'm dreadfully sorry about ignoring you and how that made you feel". He steps back and Professor McGonagall steps forward and says, "I truly did not know about Dolores Umbridge's behaviour, I'm truly sorry and I also apologise for my dismissive behaviour in your first year that nearly cost you your life". With this, she breaks down in floods of tears flinging herself forward and sobbing uncontrollably on Harry's shoulders.
Patting her shoulder awkwardly, he encourages her to move back and signals for Professor Sprout to come and fetch her and comfort her until she calms down. Clearing his throat, he says "it's ok, Professor McGonagall, if you genuinely had no idea about what was going on, then I forgive you".
Clearing his throat he says, "I know that was difficult but there is more yet to come."
Turning around and lifting his shirt, he shows the crowd his back absolutely littered with scars. He says "these scars are the ones that are the most embarrassing. They were caused by Uncle Vernon wielding a whip which I had to suffer through every night for the first 10 years of my living there at Privet Drive".
He also says, "I have personally fought Lord Voldemort four times now and I do not wish to fight him anymore, I'm tired of constant battles and not being told information that might be useful for me to know".
After his rant, he takes a breath and waits for his audience to speak.
The first to step forward was Remus, who simply opens his arms and locks Harry in a tight embrace, while openly sobbing. While sobbing, he apologises for not being there for Harry growing up, simply saying "I'm so sorry for abandoning you to the Dursley's, but I honestly thought that you would be safer without me". To which Harry replied, "It's ok, Uncle Moony, it's not your fault that you have a furry little problem". Further to this, he says "as for you, Uncle Padfoot, I forgive you for your abandonment because it was caused by circumstances beyond your control, I forgive you both, now come here and give me a hug and forgive yourselves".
