(A Christmas Wish)
*December 24th, 1941*
*10:55 pm*
*Anya's Room*
The Christmas night was beautiful as Anya lay across her bed, waiting to open her gifts in the morning while she heard Christmas music from outside.
"It's almost Christmas. I hope Calvin is okay. My only wish is just to see him one more time.." Anya whispered to herself while she continued to lay across her bed in silence; however, this was interpreted by the sound of her telephone ringing.
"Huh, I wonder who's calling my house.." Anya spoke to herself while sitting up on her bed to reach for the phone as she answered it.
"Good Evening, Anderson residence here. How could I help you?" Anya spoke to whoever was on the other side of the line with curiosity in her voice.
The caller was none other than Louise who was currently at Miller Manor with Judith.
"Anya, get dressed, quick! It's about Calvin! He wants to see you and Judith! You don't have much time since he leaves in an hour, so please get ready, we'll pick you up." Louise advised Anya from the other line with urgency in her voice and this made Anya's eyes widen with surprise and shock.
"O-Oh, my god. I-I'll be waiting for you guys! T-Thanks for letting me know!" Anya responded with excitement and shock in her voice before quickly getting up to get herself ready to see Calvin for the final time.
Anya proceeded to run to the bathroom and turn on the shower so she could freshen herself up, and that's what she did to get ready.
*Miller Manor*
Meanwhile at the Manor, Louise, and Judith were ready to pick up Anya and they discussed the current events.
"So, explain to me what Calvin said to you? I thought he had already left for the army." Judith curiously asked Louise while she sat on the couch as she waited for an answer.
"Well, my Dear Brother told me that he was stationed at another location in New York, and that's where he was for the last few days, and now since he's actually leaving tonight, he wanted to see you and Anya." Louise explained to Judith while the girl nodded understandably.
"I see, and I hope we can make it in time. I still haven't said goodbye to Calvin officially…" Judith responded in a worried tone of voice while Louise quickly gave her reassurance.
"Don't worry, I'm sure we'll make it in time to see my Dear Brother, and we should head out, my Butler is waiting for us." Louise advised Judith with a warm smile which was returned by her.
"Of course! Let's go see Calvin." Judith responded to Louise as both girls quickly exited the living room so they could enter the car.
*Anya's Home*
*11:25pm*
Anya stood outside of her home to wait for her friends, and during this, the girl took a moment to think about everything that had happened to her throughout the year.
"This year has been quite eventful. I've changed so much as a person and met new friends." Anya spoke to herself while looking up to the sky to see the beautiful cloudy skies as it indicated it was going to snow, and this made her think about Calvin.
"This weather reminds me of when Calvin departed. I just hope I can tell him how I feel. I want to tell him how much I love him…" Anya spoke to herself once more in a soft voice as she shivered slightly due to the cold.
This moment of thinking would continue for a few more moments before the Limo that carried Louise and Judith arrived thanks to the help of Louise's Butler.
"This must be.." Anya spoke in curiosity as she saw the windshield slowly open to reveal the two girls.
"Get in Loser, we're going to see Calvin. You don't want to be late, don't you?" Judith spoke to Anya in a playful voice and this made her friend chuckle at her banter.
"Of course, and thank you guys very much for talking me to Calvin." Anya thanked Judith and Louise with joy in her voice as she entered the limo.
After this, the limo began to drive away from Anya's home before making its way to its destination.
*Addams Airport*
*11:55pm*
After nearly thirty minutes of driving, Anya, Louise, and Judith finally arrived at the airport.
"We made it, I'm afraid I'll have to wait inside, but you and Judith go out and see him, quickly now. You have five minutes left." Louise advised her friends while opening the doors thus allowing two girls to exit out of the car.
"Thank you, Louise! We won't be late." Anya thanked Louise with a smile before turning around to run inside the airport so she could reach Calvin.
Anya ran through the busy airport with Judith by her side as she thought about all of the times she'd spent with Calvin.
"Calvin, Please be here. I still want to talk to you, I-I just want to tell you how I feel!" Anya thought to herself as she continued to run across the airport before finally making it outside.
The beautiful night sky illuminated thus making the scenery look beautiful, and there, Calvin stood.
"C-Calvin!" Anya cried out as loudly as she could, and luckily this caught his attention.
"Anya! Y-You made it.." Calvin uttered in surprise as he turned out and was met with Anya running towards him.
Anya ran towards Calvin and she hugged him warmly before ending the hug with a warm kiss on his lip.
"I love you too, Calvin. I accept your feelings. I'll happily be your girlfriend. But promise me one thing.." Anya spoke to Calvin with a mixture of joy and concern in her voice which made Calvin smile.
"I'm glad you accepted my feelings, and sure, anything." Calvin responded as he waited for an answer from his girlfriend.
"Promise me you'll make it back, okay?" Anya requested Calvin while this made the boy smile as he nodded.
"I promise, my love…" Calvin responded to Anya once more before hugging her warmly, and during this, he saw Judith smiling at him which made him smile back.
Calvin waved goodbye at Judith which made her wave goodbye back and despite the pair not speaking, this small interaction was just enough for Judith to feel at peace with the departure.
"Thank you for visiting. I'll see you all soon." Calvin spoke to Anya and Judith for the final time before giving his girlfriend a small kiss on the lips before turning around to walk to his flight.
Anya smiled warmly as she saw Calvin walking toward his plane, and she finally felt at peace with everything.
"Goodbye, Calvin. I'll be waiting for you.." Anya whispered to herself before smiling warmly. Soon after this, the airport clock struck midnight indicating it was Christmas as It was now snowing lightly.
"Anya, I'm happy for you. I wish nothing but the best for you and Calvin." Judith spoke to Anya while walking towards her friend which made Anya turn around.
"Thank you, Judith, and Merry Christmas, my friend." Anya responded to her friend before hugging her warmly which was returned by Judith.
"Merry Christmas, Anya, and anytime." Judith responded while hugging her friend tightly for the next few seconds before releasing each other from the hug.
"Oh, I've been meaning to tell you something. I-I didn't tell Charlotte but I wrote a check to the Harrison Orphanage. It should arrive in their mail in the morning. That should help them for the rest of their lives.." Judith spoke to Anya in a warm voice as this shocked Anya greatly.
"J-Judith, y-you're the best! Charlotte and Mary are going to be happy when they find out. When did this happen?" Anya responded joyfully while giving her friend another hug which was returned by Judith.
"I wrote the check yesterday. I wanted it to be a surprise. It's also my way of showing kindness to those I care about.." Judith responded while Anya was joyful to hear this.
"And thanks to you, Mary and the orphans will have a wonderful year in terms of finances, and it's all thanks to you and your generosity." Anya responded to her friend while this made Judith smile once more as she nodded in agreement.
After this, Anya and Judith began walking back to the main airport building where Louise and her butler were waiting.
"This year has been eventful with ups and downs. I've met so many wonderful people, and I could not be more blessed with what I have. I know things are rough right now; however, I will never give up. I must push forward for my boyfriend and my friends." Anya thought to herself with a smile as she continued to walk with Judith.
Anya stopped for a moment to look up at the beautiful snowy sky and was reminded once again of her loved ones, and how much she helped them and how much they helped her, and this type of feeling was something Anya could never replace in her heart.
With a new burning hope in Anya's heart. She vowed to continue pushing forward. And so for the course of the next year, Anya continued to enjoy the fellowship and company of her friends, and as long as Anya had those who care for her like Charlotte, Nancy, Mary, Mai, Russell, Miss Joyce, Cynitha, Emma, Allison, Louise, Claudia, Carrie, Alice, Judith, and other people. Anya will never be alone but surrounded by loving people.
The Christmas Arc ends!; However, The story continues in 1943!
