(Allison's New Friend)

It was yet another cold yet cloudy day as Allison was relaxing at Central Park with Carrie and Russell, who decided to join him.
"It sure has been snowing these past few days. I'm glad that today has been rather light." Allison spoke to his friends as he rubbed his face with his gloved hands to keep his cheeks warm while Russell and Carrie nodded in agreement.
A"Definitely! This cold weather just needs to go. I miss when it was Summer or Spring since we could have hung out more." Russell responded while lying on the light snow's furnace while Carrie began to speak.
"Well, at least we're hanging out today, so things seem to be looking good thus far, but moving on, we should go out on a date sometime, just me and you... Carrie spoke to Russell in a rather flirty voice that made Allison smile while Russell felt himself blushing.
"Oh yeah, I recall that you and Carrie are dating. That's wonderful to hear, my friend. How does it feel to date her?" Allison asked Russell with a curious smile while he and Carrie awaited an answer from him.
"C-Correct, and it feels good. Carrie confessed her feelings to me right after the Talent Show, so I accepted her proposal and things are going wonderful.." Russell responded with a confident smile while Carrie smiled with a red face.
"Oh, Russell. You were such a gentleman as well, but you were muttering and stuttering like the cute idiot you were, but it just made it more cute." Carrie responded kindly in a playful banter way before wrapping her arms around her boyfriend's waist to warmly kiss him.
Allison smiled at what he had seen before looking up to the sky to think to himself.
"I'm glad Carrie and Russell are dating, but it seems like everyone is finding love like Anya might get Calvin, Charlotte has Emma, and so forth while I'm still searching for my special someone.." Allison thought to himself before letting out a sigh as he got up from the bench.
"I'm going to take a walk around the park for a bit, but I'll be back in a few minutes, okay?" Allison spoke to his friends once more as Russell and Carrie nodded understandably.
"Oh, okay. Is anything okay? We could walk with you if you want?" Carrie responded to her friend with concern in her voice; however, she was met with Allison smiling.
"I'm okay. I just need to exercise for a bit, but I'll be okay. I won't take too long." Allison responded once more before waving goodbye and proceeding to walk on his own.
"Glad to hear and stay safe, my good friend." Carrie responded to her friend while still holding on to Russell as she and him would spend some quality time alone.
Meanwhile, Allison would begin walking across the beautiful lightly snowy Central Park as something or rather someone would capture his attention.
The person was standing in the snow, observing the tree while muttering something to themself which captured Allison's curiosity.
The person had a bob cut with feminine yet tomboyish features with medium-sized curls on each end that had a rather messy look to it while also wearing a casual suit.
"I never saw them around, but why are they staring at the tree.." Allison thought to himself before taking a few steps closer to the person; however, he stepped on a small branch which caught their attention.
"H-Hey, could I help you? You seem interested in that tree right? It's fascinating how winter can change the scenery in things, right?" The person spoke to Allison with a smile while Allison smiled back.
"I-I agree, and I was curious to know why you were looking at the tree, but it seems I have my answer" Allison politely responded with a smile while the person chuckled.
"Oh, you saw me, right? I tend to get rather observant at things, so I might just capture attention, but what's your name? I'm Amelia." Amelia responded to Allison calmly while they waited for an answer.
"That's a beautiful name and I'm Allison. It's a pleasure to meet you. I hope my company can be enjoyed." Allison greeted back while shaking hands with Amelia.
"So what brings you here? Are you here to enjoy the view as well, Allison?" Amelia curiously asked Allison while waiting for an answer as the young boy began to nod his head.
"Yeah, I'm here with my friends to hang out, but I just took off on my own for the moment since I wanted to walk the park for a bit." Allison responded with a smile as Amelia smiled back.
"You have a beautiful smile, Allison. It truly fits your face, I like that." Amelia complimented kindly, and of course, this made Allison blush madly as he quickly came up with something to say back.
"T-Thanks, same for you, b-but do you want to be friends? Y-You seem nice, and I'm enjoying our small talk thus far as well.." Allison responded while he waited for a response as the young person nodded in confirmation.
"Sure, why not? I don't have many friends anyways, so I might as well make some, right?" Amelia responded kindly and this made Allison smile.
"Thanks, I'm sure we'll become good friends, and someday, I'll even introduce you to my other friends as well." Allison responded kindly while Amelia chuckled warmly at this.
"That would be great, my friend. I'm usually a loner for most of the time, but this will give me a good chance to brush up on my social skills." Amelia responded before sitting on the ground while Allison sat next to the person.
During this, Allison would stare back at the young person, and there, he would feel a connection to this person as he smiled at him.
"I agree, I used to be in the same boat as you. I never had any friends growing up; however, that changed when I met Anya, another friend of mine and the rest is history. I learned to become a better person in terms of socializing while also learning how to accept myself as well." Allison spoke to his new friend once more while Amelia nodded as they followed along on what their new friend had to say.
"You seem to have good friends. You should cherish them. You just never know what might happen so please love them in any way you could, okay?" Amelia advised Allison in response to what they just heard while smiling at their new friend and thumbs up which made Allison return the favor.
"I will. That's why I'm always willing to spend time with them in any way that I could." Allison responded once more as both he and Amelia exchanged smiles yet again before Amelia got up.
"We should hang out, just me or you. I want to know you more, so how does next week sound? We could go ice-skating and don't worry, I'll pay since it's my little treat." Amelia requested their new friend and this was quickly accepted by Allison who was eager to know more about his new friend.
"Of course!, I'll write down the phone number to my home and I'll see you then." Allison responded excitedly while he took out a small paper and pencil that was in his purse, and he began to write down his contact information so he could give it to Amelia.
Amelia would accept the contact information with open arms before placing it in their pocket.
"Alright, I guess we can call this a hangout session. I can't wait to see you then, and by the way, you're pretty darn cute. I can't wait to make the guys and girls jealous." Amelia spoke once more to their new friend before waving at them while Allison waved back with a chuckle.
"T-Thanks, and I'll be seeing you then, Amelia.." Allison spoke to his new friend for the final time while he saw Amelia quickly running from the scene, leaving him feeling happy.
"What a nice person. I was feeling a little down, but they managed to cheer me up, so I'm happy about that, but I should head back to Russell and Carrie before they get worried about me." Allison spoke to himself while looking at the tree that was being observed by Amelia before quickly walking back to where his friends were in a happier mood than ever.
