So there is a bit of a debate on whether or not Edward left Bella in the woods. You are both right. This [We'd gone only a few steps into the trees when he stopped. We were barely on the trail–I could still see the house.
Some walk.
Edward leaned against a tree and stared at me, his expression unreadable.
"Okay, let's talk," I said. It sounded braver than it felt.}
Then this. Dr Gerandy {"What happened to you?" he asked casually.
I froze under his hand, tasting panic in the back of my throat.
"Did you get lost in the woods?" he prodded. I was aware of several other people listening.
Three tall men with dark faces–from La Push, the Quileute Indian reservation down on the coastline, I guessed–Sam Uley among them, were standing very close together and staring at me. Mr. Newton was there with Mike and Mr. Weber, Angela's father; they all were watching me more surreptitiously than the strangers. Other deep voices rumbled from the kitchen and outside the front door. Half the town must have been looking for me.
Charlie was the closest. He leaned in to hear my answer.
"Yes," I whispered. "I got lost."}
And finally this "Bella?" Charlie asked.
I looked at him uneasily.
"He left you alone in the woods?" Charlie guessed.
I deflected his question. "How did you know where to find me?" My mind shied away from the inevitable awareness that was coming, coming quickly now.
"Your note," Charlie answered. surprised. He reached into the back pocket of his jeans and pulled out a much-abused piece of paper. It was dirty and damp, with multiple creases from being opened and refolded many times. He unfolded it again, and held it up as evidence. The messy handwriting was remarkably close to my own.
Going for a walk with Edward, up the path , it said. Back soon, B .}
Even though they stopped where she could still see the house they were technically in the woods, and the fact that Edward left a note shows that he knew Bella would wander deeper into the forest. Playing devil's advocate perhaps it was the safest choice to make. Driving after him as upset as she was she could have died in an accident.
Edward fans you will probably get mad at me in this chapter but before you give up on this story please read the bottom A/N
Chapter 14
Bella heaved a sigh before she pushed past Alice and made her way into the house.
The first thing she noticed was an amused Rosalie holding a cloth bag. Whatever was inside the bag was squirming.
She looked further into the house to find Emmetts back, his large body blocking her view of something.
Moving forward she could see Jasper. He looked up at her, sending calming waves her way. It looked like he was holding someone's arm.
Taking another two steps she could see a shirtless Edward. A whimper slipped from Bella's lips. She was sure it would have been a scream if not for Jasper's influences. The arm Jasper was holding was slowly knitting itself back onto Edwards body. Looking at Emmett she could see he was doing the same as Jasper with Edwards other arm.
"Bella, love, I-" Edward started to speak. Realizing he was unable to go and comfort her, he stopped talking.
"Bella," Carlisle's voice barely registered. "I assure you he is going to be just fine. I know this might look a bit... disturbing."
"No doc." Charlie said, "This isn't disturbing at all."
Bella thought he was being sarcastic but she couldn't tell.
She rushed to Edward landing hard on her knees in front of him and wrapped her arms around his torso. "Edward, I'm so sorry. This is all my fault."
"Does anyone else find something wrong with this?" Charlie asked the room. "And I can't believe I am about to say this, but I don't mean the disassembled teenage vampire."
It took Bella a few moments to realize that her bottom half was pressed against the couch, not Edwards legs. Her thoughts went to the squirming bag Rosalie held. The comprehension had her squeezing him tighter.
"Perhaps you boys can bring Edward upstairs to his room. This way he could finish pulling himself together in privacy." Carlisle suggested.
Jasper picked Edward up, keeping his arms secured to his body so they would continue to knit back together.
Emmett grabbed the bag from Rosalie and flung it over his shoulder. It wiggled and squirmed against his back side. "Eddy, if you keep kicking my ass, I don't want to hear any complaints later when I'm kicking yours." Emmett quipped.
As soon as Bella's foot fell on the first step she felt a cold hand grasp her shoulder. "Bella dear," Esme said gently. "Why don't you stay with us?"
"But," the word came out in a whimper. She looked up the stairs with despair and desperation.
"Bells," Jake said, "He is going to be fine. You won't make any difference up there. You are needed down here more, I have a feeling you are going to play a big part in this conversation."
Reluctantly joining the downstairs group Bella made her way back to the couch.
"So," Charlie began, "You're all Vampires."
Noone confirmed or denied it.
"I expect you have a lot of questions." Carlisle said.
"You bet your ass I do."
"Perhaps we should all sit down then." Carlisle said and Esme offered refreshments to their guests.
Noone wanted anything so they all sat down, with the exception of Jake who chose to stand keeping a small distance away from the rest of the group.
Before Charlie could say anything Bella yelled. "How could you?! How could any of you do that to him?! How dare you!"
"Bella I'm afraid he didn't give us much choice." Bella did not miss the fact that Carlisle seemed to have trouble looking at her.
"Liar!" She yelled
"Isabella." her father Chided
"Listen up child." Rosalie said snidely "If you want to know the truth I will tell you the truth."
As Rosalie told Bella what happened Jacob couldn't help but relive his account of the event.
He had just left the house directly after that shit show of a phone call. There was an hour before he had to be on patrol but he had to warn the others that the leach was threatening to break the treaty. Maybe they could do something before things got out of hand.
He stript down and phased as soon as he was under the cover of the trees. The whole pack was there. He wondered why he wasn't called before concentrating to see what was going on.
The pack was spread out trying to cover as much of the treaty line as possible. Bella's leach, along with momma leach, dr. fang, the big dude, Barbie vamp and the mood ring were lined up on the other side of the treaty line. Edweirdo was pacing back and forth almost manically. He kept looking toward their Lair like he was waiting for something. The majority of the pack were following his movements but the rest were going in the other direction just in case he was a distraction and one of the others tried to cross the border.
Through the pack mind Jake could hear dr. fang speaking too low for human ears. He wondered if the good doctor realized the pack could hear every word.
"Edward, son, please calm down, I am sure Bella is just fine." The doc said, but Eddy boy was not listening.
Momma leach tried next. "Edward, You just need to be patient. Bella will come home. I am sure of it."
The mind reader turned completely away from the pack, stopping all movements. He was as still as a statue. The little pixie psychic sped over to him. When he turned everyone could see the massive grin on his face. She smiled back at him. They just stared at each other. It was creepy. The mind reader's smile slowly fell.
Through gritted teeth he asked. "When, Alice." His tone sounded as if he asked multiple times and didn't get an answer.
"Soon. Let's go back to the house and wait."
"No! I will be waiting right here." He turned away from her, setting his gaze intently on the road leading out of La Push.
Pixie begged. "Edward please." His head turned to her so sharply that if he were human Jake was sure he would have broken his neck.
An angry snarl came from him as he tried to make a break for it. He only took two steps when the big dude lunged for him. Blondy and mood ring were right behind him.
They gained a grip on Edward, pulling him away from the line. When fissures started to form on the mind reader's skin the other three vamps stepped in separating the others from him.
Jake could see them now. The mind reader took advantage of the destruction and made a running leap over his pack. They jumped up trying to grab him but he was just out of reach. Running faster than ever before Jake jumped up on the backs and shoulders of his pack using them as leverage. He grabbed the vampire's leg with his teeth flinging them both back over the treaty line. Releasing Edwards leg Jake slammed a paw into the middle of his chest and let out a great roar.
You are putting Bella in danger! Jake thought loudly.
"You are the danger to her." Edward hissed.
'No asshole! The Red-head is the danger, and instead of surrounding the rez to keep her safe we are all here dealing with you.'
The pack's chaotic thoughts seemed to form two opinions, most of them wanting to fight and kill the Cullins. Sam seemed unsure what to do. He didn't want a battle with them right now if it could be helped, but his anger and fear were telling him to kill them.
'His feet didn't touch the ground over there.' Jake thought to Sam.
'That doesn't matter. He crossed the border. The treaty doesn't say as long as your feet don't touch the ground we're all good.' Sam thought back.
'Maybe there could be a compromise, You don't want this fight.'
'Why the hell are you trying to protect them?' Paul thought.
That was a good question. Why was he?
"For her." Edward's voice joined the irate wolves. "You know harming us would destroy her."
Realizing how calm Edward now was, Jake took his paw off of him and backed away.
'Alright a compromise' Sam thought. 'I'll deal with this, you go home. You're on Bella watch for the night.'
Jake didn't stick around to hear the compromise.
Coming back to the present he heard the end of Blondie's account.
"It was only thanks to your friend here that he is not ash." She gestured to Jake.
"I owe you a thank you for that." Edward announced.
"I didn't do it for you." Jake told him.
"I know." Edward smiled. Bella rushed over and practically jumped into his arms.
Jacob glanced over at Charlie. The police chief looked like he was about to have a heart attack.

I want to note I am not making Edward a bad guy. Jealousy is a bitch, it makes us irrational and unreasonable {It makes us do stupid things,}. The closest thing to being Jealous Edward has experienced was with Mike, whom he quickly determined to not be a threat.
In the story Edward told Bella he was going to break the treaty. It also says you could tear a Vampire into many pieces and unless you burn the pieces they will eventually pull themselves back together. I wanted to work with that Idea.
That gave me another Idea, {Franken vamp}. That would be an interesting story. Anyway I'm sorry if I offended anyone. For those of you I angered, please note my summer has been a literal hell. So please try to be nice.
Thank you for reading.
