"It's about damn time you showed up." Bakugou stood at the gates with his signature glower. He was dressed in suitable attire to exercise and a small bag at his feet.
"Bakugou, I said we'll meet ten minutes before. Here I am ten minutes before on the dot." She decided to tease him slightly. "Aww were you so excited to see me you came extra early?"
"Tch, Get a fucking move on already, I don't wanna waste any of my time."
She laughed as the gates opened and there stood Aizawa and Nezu who hopped down from Aizawa's shoulder, holding a pass in his hand. "Hello there! I am Principal Nezu, welcome to UA. Here is your day pass."
Bakugou took it and looked at her questioningly. "Why doesn't she need one?"
"She has special permission to be on campus." Nezu said cheerfully, but changed the subject quickly. "Behind me is Aizawa, a teacher at UA who will be your supervisor today. He will show you to your designated training area. I do hope you enjoy your visit here young man."
"Follow me" Aizawa said and turned to walk without looking behind to see if they were following or not.
They walked leisurely to the gym, Bakugou looking around him at the campus to see what it looked like, never having visited before. "Why are you able to come here?" He asked
"I'm her godfather." Aizawa said ahead of them.
"What!" it was Miwako that screamed, shocked at the news.
Bakugou turned to her weirded out by how she seemed surprised at the news. "The fuck! Don't tell me you didn't even know who your own godfather was."
"That's exactly what I'm telling you. When did this happen?" She screeched, pointing an accusatory finger at Aizawa who looked annoyed.
"... You're dad didn't say anything to you, did he?"
"No he did not!"
Aizawa nodded and turned back around to continue walking. "Well now you know."
Miwako's mouth was wide open the entire walk to the gym, trying to process the new or old piece of information depending on how it was viewed.
Once they got to the gym Aizawa directed Bakugou where he could set his bag down as they got into position on the mat. A manic grin plastered on his face as he positioned his hands to his sides, palms out.
"First to pin the other, wins. No maiming, no large injuries. Ready? Start." Aizawa stepped back to watch the match. He already knew Bakugou was planning on getting into UA and wanted to evaluate him. From the little Miwako spoke about him, he could already tell that he would be a problem child.
After the first loud explosion of his quirk, Aizawa was sure the kid would have no problems passing at least the physical portion of the entrance exam with a quirk like that.
However, quirks aren't everything as the scene before him proves it. Miwako was already on top of him. "Miwako wins."
Even after she got off, he stayed laying on the mat with wide eyes before they narrowed. "Again."
He found himself back on the mat once more. "Again" He growled.
Over and over this repeated until their time was up. Not once did he ever manage to land a hit on Miwako, but surprisingly, the time it took to get him on the mat started to increase little by little.
Bakugou's whole body was aching with bruises by the time they had to leave. He said nothing as he was gathering his things, too deep in his thoughts as he observed the female next to him. It wasn't until Aizawa spoke that he looked away from her at the gates. "Bakugou, you have potential, but that's all it's going to be if you don't do something about your attitude. Pride and arrogance can cost you your entire career or even your life in this field. I better see improvement when evaluating you during the entrance exam."
Bakugou had a small flashback to when he saw Miwako jogging in the park, the words she said were almost the exact same. Instead of speaking he just nodded, still thinking as he walked away. The entire week following the spar-more like beat down-he was noticeably quiet. Everyone that had any prior experience with him knew something was majorly wrong.
However, just as suddenly as his attitude shift came, it swiftly disappeared. He was back to being his brash, loud, and crude self. It was also then that Miwako's phone wouldn't stop ringing with notifications from him wanting to fight again.
After days of leaving him on read as he got more and more persistent she decided to tease him slightly: Is asking for a fight your way of asking for a date?
The reply was instantaneous: WHAT THE FUCK! Who would want to date you bitch? I JUST WANT TO KICK YOUR ASS!
I don't think we should keep bothering the teachers at UA for a fight
DID I SAY TO BOTHER THEM?! Learn to fucking read whiskers. Come to my house, no quirks. We'll use my backyard.
No.
Miwako laughed as she put her phone down as it buzzed excessively. She placed it back in her backpack before getting back up to continue her training. It was a bitch and a half regrowing her reserves, but it was necessary. She had to train with Kurama all over again to get used to merging their chakras to be in sink and not sink into a pit of rage. It was significantly easier without the festering hatred for the village the second time. It just ate away a lot of her chakra and before she knew it, she pushed too far and passed out on the forest ground.
It was morning by the time she woke, the sun barely peeking over the horizon as she slowly picked herself off the cold forest floor.
"About time you woke up brat! I had to use that stupid thing you call a phone when it kept ringing." Kurama was there next to her as she unknowingly used him as a heat pack during the night snuggling up next to him.
That made her shoot up and scramble for her phone. She winced at the amount of missed calls, her soul slithered out of her body as she whimpered at the impending lecture. "I'm dead Kurama."
He scoffed, "You should be on your fucking knees thanking me. I made sure they knew you were and that you just passed out due to chakra exhaustion of all things."
Rivers of tears ran down her face as she crushed him in a hug. "Kurama I love you."
"As you should."
Unwrapping her arms, she bit the bullet and called All Might first. She had to pull the phone away from her ears once the call went through due to the high volume All Might was using asking if she was alright. He went onto a tirade about taking years off of his life and that she was grounded.
Her jaw dropped. "Grounded! I've never been grounded in my LIFE!"
"Well now you are!"
"But-"
"NO BUTS YOUNG LADY! I know you can take care of yourself, but you always check in and this time you didn't, causing all of us worry. We were about to dispatch a group of heroes to help scour the forest for you until Kurama picked up."
"I'm sorry Dad" She whimpered
A loud exhale could be heard over the phone. "I know you are kiddo, be more careful next time and come home please."
"I'll be home soon Dad. I gotta take the train this time though, I used up too much chakra."
"Alright, I'll be here when you get back. I love you."
"Love you too."
She sighed as she started packing everything up and hopped on Kurama's back so they could get to the edge of the forest faster. Once they got closer to the tree line, he disappeared back into the seal as she walked to the closest train station.
It was a sight to see a young teenager with dirt and leaves caught in her hair sleeping on the train. She had a pleasant dream eating and bowl after bowl of ramen, it was interrupted by a niggling feeling of being watched in the back of her head. Slowly blinking her eyes and letting out a large yawn, she tried to regain her barings.
She let out a silent shriek at the narrowed vermilion eyes not even a few inches from her face. "'bout fucking time." Bakugou growled.
She looked around toward the other passengers for help, but they all looked away, none wanted to deal with the pissed off teenager.
"Are you stalking me?" She whispered in fear.
"Like hell I'd waste my time on that crap. I'm on my way to school." He stood up straight and that was when she noticed he was wearing a black uniform with a bag swung over his shoulder. "The hell happened to you?" He said, referring to her disheveled state.
Miwako reached up into her hair, pulling at the leaves and twigs that got tangled in it. "Oh, I was just training and fell asleep in the woods."
His eyes widened in shocked rage. "What!" He whisper yelled to her as it was rude to talk loudly on the train. "The fuck were you thinking falling asleep in the woods by yourself, or even on a train for that matter."
"Wasn't actually thinking. I didn't do it on purpose, I just trained too much and passed out. It's fine."
"The fuck! You're old man let you do that shit?"
She pouted and mumbled something. He leaned in closer, not able to hear her. "Speak the fuck up."
She blushed and spoke out through gritted teeth extremely embarrassed. "No, I got grounded the second I called him when I woke up."
He leaned back, shoulder shaking as he tried stifling his laughter at her misery. She glared at him. "Stop fucking laughing its not funny. I've never been grounded before." She looked around as the train slowly came to a stop. "Where are we by the way?"
"Shizuoka Prefecture."
She let out a sigh of relief. "Oh thank god, I didn't miss my stop I think. Since I'm grounded my dad would probably take my phone so I won't be able to talk to you for a while."
"Hmph, your damn fault. Text me when you get it back then, I want a rematch." He got off the train after that and Miwako went back to relaxing until it was her stop.
The second she walked through the door she was wrapped in Aizawa's capture weapon as he glared at her with his quirk active. "You are grounded for 2 weeks, no training, no phone, no tv, and no leaving the house." All Might stood next to him vigorously nodding his head at everything he said.
She shrugged, the punishment wasn't that bad. Aizawa narrowed his eyes and he glanced at All Might who was trying to think of a better punishment for causing them all to worry so much. He snapped his fingers, finally able to think of something that would really get the idea into her head. "And no Kurama." He said
That really seemed to catch her attention as she started to struggle like a worm. "No Kurama?!"
"NO KURAMA!"
Once the capture weapon fell away, she rushed over to them begging. "Why can't Kurama stay with me?" Said person then came out of the seal as she wrapped her arms around his neck putting her face cheek to cheek with him. "You can't take him away!"
All Mights started to feel a bit bad, and changed the punishment about Kurama slightly. "Only for 2 days. He would still be in the house with you, but you can't talk to him at all. We would let him go outside, but he doesn't like wearing clothes. It would be labeled public indecency if he claimed he was a man with a fox quirk that doesn't want to cover up. And we want to make sure you're listening to our rules so he has to enforce them while we are not here."
She whimpered and turned to Kurama. "Are you agreeing to this?"
He smirked, "Damn right, this will be fun."
"Traitor" She whispered
All Might kneeled on the floor in front of her and grabbed her shoulders. "Are you sure you're not injured anywhere?"
"I'm alright Dad, I really did just drain my chakra."
He sighed in relief. "I'm really glad you're safe. Now…" He straightened and transformed into his stronger form. "TO YOUR ROOM YOUNG LADY!" He said pointing towards the stairs.
She got up and hung her head as Kurama cackled next to her. "Yes Sir."
She ran outside the second her punishment was lifted breathing in the fresh air. She decided to let Bakugou know that she was finally ungrounded. It took him a little while to text back since he was in school, but when he did he wasted no time telling her to fight him already. She had nothing better to do and agreed.
She looked up the address he sent her and saw that surprisingly it wasn't too far from where she already was and headed over.
Mitsuki was pleasantly surprised when she opened the door and saw a familiar face standing there. "Hello dear, are you here for Katsuki?"
Before she could answer, someone else did it for her. "Ya old hag! I told you I would answer the damn door."
The happy look on Mitsuki's face disappeared in a blink of an eye as she turned and slapped Bakugou in the head. "Don't call me that you ungrateful brat!" She opened the door wider and stepped aside. "Come on in."
"Thank you Mrs. Bakugou."
"Call me Mitsuki dear, there are 3 Bakugous in the house, it'll get a little confusing." Mitsuki said as she closed the door behind them.
Bakugou grabbed her arm, pulling her towards the sliding glass doors in the back of the house. "We're training, don't bother us!"
Miwako turned as she was dragged to look at Mitsuki. "You have a beautiful home."
Mitsuki smiled at the compliment. "You're such a sweet child. Katsuki you should learn from her!"
He dragged them to the middle of his yard and started stretching as Miwako still looked around. "You're rich rich aren't you? What do your parents do?"
"Fashion designers, now shut up and get ready to die." He sprung himself at her without a moment's hesitation. She turned slightly and used his momentum against him to flip him into his back.
Again he found himself staring at the sky in a few seconds. He sat up angry, fight after fight yielded the same results. The bruises on his skin popping up in the same places as before. After the 20th time he was knocked down he yelled. "I thought I said no quirks!"
She stepped back confused. "What are you talking about?"
"You used some type of martial arts quirk, or maybe precognition quirk to see me coming!" He accused.
There was a pause and she bent over laughing, even falling to the ground clutching her stomach. He stared at her, eyes white in anger. "What are you laughing at? YOU LOOKING DOWN ON ME?"
It took her several moments to regain control of herself as she whipped the tears from her eyes, still chuckling slightly. "Bakugou…I never once used my quirk on you."
"What?" He was frozen, not able to process what she said.
Miwako frowned as she fully stood up and looked at him. "Is it so hard to believe that I could beat you without a quirk?"
He still said nothing as he stared at nothing. She got concerned at his lack of response and came closer to reach a hand out to his shoulder. "Bakugou."
He flinched back. "How could you beat me so easily then? I even used my quirk on you! Is-are the others wanting to get into UA like you?"
She dropped her arm. "No, not everyone is as good as I am. Bakugou…you are skilled, even if our spars don't seem like it."
"If I'm so fucking skilled how the hell do I keep losing then?"
"I've just been trained a lot differently from you." She looked at him in concern. She always knew his superiority complex would get a major hit once he entered UA. She had no doubt he could get in the hero course, but that doesn't mean she didn't think there was someone out there that could outpace him at first. "My sensei told me years ago that 'there are people out there stronger than even me, yet younger than you' when I first started training. When you get into UA, there are probably going to be kids of Pro heroes around, and they have very different training than you. I believe Endeavor has a son our age and he would most likely go to UA for the hero course."
His eyes widened. "You said when I get in, not if. Why?"
"Because I believe you actually could." She slid back into a fighting stance. "Now, come at me."
He smirked as he got shot forward. Words were never his strong suit, fighting was. As they fought, instead of immediately downing him. Miwako took her time and corrected his stance, gave input on his fighting style and by the time they were done, Bakugou was able to pick up on everything quickly.
They took a break and went back into the house for a drink of water. During that time, Miwako asked for a piece of paper and a pen and wrote down a training schedule for him. "Here, do this to build some more muscles. Careful with it, you're still young, so if you push too hard it could be detrimental instead of helpful."
He growled as he swiped the paper out of her hand. "Don't tell me what to do! Why are you telling me I'm young when we're the same age? You sound like a grandma."
