"Midoriya, you need better control of your quirk. You can't expect other heroes to be there to help when you keep breaking your bones. Bakugou don't let your pride and past grudges cloud your judgment, take that battle training as a lesson." Aizawa-sensei spoke in front of the class "Now pick a class representative." He got back into his sleeping bag and rolled to the corner of the room to leave the class to fight amongst themselves.
Ida's plan to vote for the class reps seemed to have backfired against him as he had no votes. While Midoriya and Miwako stared at the board in horror. They were class president and vice president respectively. She waved her hands back and forth while shaking her head "Absolutely not. I don't want this responsibility. Yaoyorozu can take the title."
Kirishima turned to her in shock. "Seriously! You don't want the position?"
"Yep it's a big no thank you for me."
Class ended and everyone made their way into the lunch room. Mouth watering scents filled the air and hearts were practically shining from Miwako's eyes as she smelled her favorite meal. Ramen was the food of the gods.
"Uzumaki there you are!" She looked up to see Mina coming towards her and Bakugou's table with others in tow.
"Hey Mina" Miwako introduced herself to the two others that she didn't know.
"Denki Kaminari at your service!" He winked and then asked, "How about we get to know each other a little more later one on one?" She laughed and the person with tape arms beside him took over.
"Ignore him, only 1 day of getting to know the guy and it's already apparent that he's a huge flirt. I'm Hanta Sero. You were pretty cool in the observation room. How'd you get your hair to float like that?" He asked
She hesitated not really knowing how to explain that away when she was saved by Mina who turned to her as she was eating and asked about her quirk. Miwako explained how she put down 'markers' on whatever surface she touches, allowing her to teleport to any of them at any time within a certain distance.
"That's actually how I got into the room without you noticing Kiri. I placed a marker on your back as you carried me through the ice. Also, I already took it off so you don't-" An alarm blared around the school. Every student was freaking out trying to rush to the exit. Mina grabbed her arm and pulled her into the frenzy, not paying attention when Miwako tried to warn her. "Mina, wait! If we rush in now we'll-" it was too late as their hands disconnected.
Miwako tried calling out for the others but her voice wouldn't carry over the panicking of the other students. Her temper started flaring when she kept feeling elbows hitting her in the sides. An elbow hit landing right on her diaphragm and she bent over wheezing when a hand shot out from the crowd and grabbed her elbow.
Miwako felt slightly disoriented as she was pushed roughly back into the wall, two arms caging her in. Looking up, she saw two vermilion eyes glaring right at her. "Why the hell do you have to be so short?"
"Thanks for the save Katsuki. Don't act like you're mad when I know you're not. Such a tsundere."
His eyes widened in fury "Don't call me that!" She patted his chest and said, "Don't worry I've had a lot of experience with tsunderes." She laughed harder at the sound of Bakugou and Kurama cursing up a storm.
"I'm not a fucking tsundere you shitty girl!"
"You've been acting too arrogant lately! Don't think you can make fun of me without consequences."
The crowd dispersed once Ida took control of the situation and Mina was quick to rush up to her. "Oh my god Uzumaki I'm so sorry!"
"Hey it's alright, I know you were just trying to get us all out. No worries, oh and call me Miwako." she said kindly as they got back to finishing their lunch.
The next few days weren't anything special until Aizawa announced rescue training with All Might and another pro. Once they got to the USJ all the students were impressed by the training grounds and excited to meet pro hero Thirteen.
Miwako sensed something wrong and looked towards the center of the building. "Aizawa-sensei what the hell is that? '' Her finger pointed towards the ominous swirling purple and black cloud. They didn't have to wait long as hordes of villains walked through.
"Kaminari, try to see if you can bypass their interference." Aizawa demanded as he pulled his googles up as his scarf flared out around him. "Uzumaki hand me one of your weapons. Get to the school and gather the teachers" She threw one of her marked kunais without hesitation. Before his eyes were completely concealed he looked at her mouthing something and hoped she understood the message: Bring Ghost here. She nodded and disappeared from view.
"Thirteen protect the students!" Aizawa got into a fighting stance and unwrapped his capture weapon. Midoriya was freaking out about the large number of villains "Aizawa-sensei, your quirk isn't made to be a frontline fighter! You can't fight them all on your own!"
"You can't be a hero with only one trick Midoriya." Seconds after he finished talking, the ceiling broke
Miwako appeared at All Might's side, luckily, he was talking with Principal Nezu. "Villains are attacking the USJ. Communications are jammed and there seems to be someone with a warping type quirk there too. They said they wanted All Might and saw the schedule for today's training."
All Might got out of his seat ready to get to the students, but Nezu stopped him. "You are in no condition to fight at the moment, you must stay here a little longer or else you would just deflate the second you get there. Miwako, let me call the teachers here so you can take them all at once."
She nodded as All Might still tried to protest. "But they need me! I'm the reason the villains are attacking!"
"Dad, you know Principal Nezu is right. I sent Ghost there to help, they aren't defenseless." She said and Nezu beamed at her. "What great foresight."
"It was actually Aizawa who thought of it."
The scattered students all looked up as a hundred masked women fell from the shattered ceiling. Some recognized her immediately.
"Ghost!" Midoriya screamed. No one has ever seen her fight before, she always stayed strictly a rescue hero, but today, she came with a Katana in hand taking out villain after villain without hesitation. Lightening the load off of Aizawa.
Ghost spread out gathering students from the different zones to bring them all to the entrance. Two of her clones were next to Thirteen giving her the best first aid she could.
Midoriya couldn't understand why she never once took on any villains. She moved swiftly and seamlessly as she weaved between them, in perfect sync with Aizawa. He screamed when he saw one of her clones pop into smoke when hit by that large creature.
Multiples of her jumped onto it, trying to hold it back, but it was too strong. It landed a massive hit against Aizawa, injuring one of his eyes before she could get him to safety
"You're getting in my way." Shigaraki said as he reached out to catch the nearest clone to him but all it did was pop in his hands.
A shot rang out from next to Aizawa as a group of other pro heroes stood around him. Shigaraki clutched his hand and widened his eyes. "How?" They got there too fast, he knew he should've had more time. He glanced between them all and saw a student standing with them. "You…It had to have been you! Nomu get her!"
The creature moved with such speeds that it shocked the rest of the teachers, but luckily, Miwako was able to get them all away to safety with the help of Ghost. She broke away from all the teachers so the monster wouldn't go after them all at once.
Midnight tried releasing her quirk, but it did nothing to it. It seemed as if it either had such a high resistance to toxins her quirk couldn't work before it got out of her pink cloud, or it didn't even need to breathe.
Miwako scattered her kunais around, flashing to them one by one to keep the monster focused directly on her. Snipe tried shooting its legs, but nothing happened. It regenerated too fast. She coated her tanto with as much of Kurama's chakra as she could without it being noticeable and flashed behind the thing. Swiping at its legs it cut through like butter, causing the beast to fall face first.
This time, it stayed on the ground, that is until Aizawa blinked and its limbs regenerated. Miwako's eyes widened as she hastily flashed away. He tried his best to keep his eyes open, but the prior injury to his eye made it even more difficult.
Midoriya watched in fascination as Miwako worked alongside the teachers keeping the monster at bay along with the rest of the villains. He screamed along with his classmates that were next to him when he felt himself get lifted into the air by the back of his shirt. When he turned he came face to mask. "You children are too close to this fight."
He paled and opened his mouth to speak but his attention was then taken away by the sound of bursting doors.
"I am here!" All Might was finally there, but for once, there was no smile on his face. His precious students were in danger and possibly severely injured by these villains. He took in the sight of his daughter fighting a creature several times her size and his fellow pros all struggling. Thirteen was even severely injured.
He didn't hesitate to help his daughter in her fight "Miwako step back". He didn't even register that he used her given name. She instantly went back to Aizawa's side, most villains already completely captured with only a few stragglers. She took out several bandages from her pack and started bandaging his face, making sure to avoid covering his uninjured eye.
She watched as All Might took on the Nomu, the beast barely even moved after getting hit. Her eyes widened when he was about to suplex the creature and a warp gate opened up. "All Might let go!"
Without hesitation she appeared at his side and gripped his hand to take him back over to where she was standing before. The other teachers had left to gather the other students now that All Might appeared. He was confused why she told him to let go but when he looked back he noticed what could've potentially just happened. "Thank you Miwako."
Shigaraki was furious. That girl again! She's ruining everything I worked for. "Kurogiri, get that girl out of here now."
She was about to slip through the black hole that opened under her, however a hand gripped hers as an explosion sounded close to her ear. Bakugou ripped her away from the warp gate and dropped her onto solid ground before yanking at the metal collar around the villain's neck, pinning him to the ground.
He let loose a few explosions out of his hands and leaned his menacing face closer. "If I feel you even slightly twitching under my hand I'll fucking incinerate you." Kirishima, who was next to him, looked at them in concern. "Dude I don't think that's what heroes should say."
"We need to get our gate back. Go, Nomu" Shigaraki ordered.
Miwako threw her last kunai on the ground between the Nomu and Bakugou and did what she had only ever watched her papa do before: Flying Thunder God: Guiding Thunder. The Nomu was redirected to the farthest mark she had on the opposite side of them as she flickered right where her weapon landed.
Shigaraki stomped his feet and screamed. "No! This is cheating!" He threw the biggest tantrum she had ever seen a grown man throw as she slowly stood up. As suddenly as it appeared, he became still. "Those markings on your face…a quirk is it? Animals tend to have sensitive hearing, I wonder…do you?" She was confused until she noticed he wasn't looking at her, but somewhere behind her. She turned as did everyone else that noticed the line of his gaze. There was a villain hidden in the shadows with a speaker for a mouth.
Bakugou's eyes zeroed in on the 4 beads on her necklace. She didn't have her noise cancelers on. He let go of the villain as he ran toward her, already guessing what was about to happen. "Miwako!"
Suddenly, she slapped her hands onto her ears and screamed. Somewhere in the USJ, they could also hear the pained roar of Hound Dog, but no one else could hear whatever it was that she could, but blood could be seen dripping between her fingers.
"Nomu." Shigaraki called, laughing historically.
Bakugou blinked twice, trying to regain his bearings as he was now on the floor, holding onto Miwako, dust covered where they once stood. He looked down at her as her face scrunched up in pain. He ripped the beads off her neck and forced her to move her hand placing them inside her bloody ear canal.
"Oi, whiskers can you hear me?" He asked as she stared right into her eyes. She brows wrinkled as she just watched his mouth move. She shook her head, lifting her hand to try and touch her ears, but he slapped it away. He looked up and saw Kirishima standing close by. "Shitty hair! Come over here and watch her, she can't hear shit. I'm gonna go kill that fucker."
He tried standing, but a hand gripped onto his pants. Miwako looked at him confused, still slightly disoriented from the high frequency used. He grabbed her hand pulling it away from him and tried to speak as clearly as he could, hoping she might be able to read his lips. "Stay here, I'll be back soon."
He ran to where the other villain was hiding who started to run away after seeing his murderous look. "Oh I don't fucking think so!" Bakugou yelled as he positioned his now full gauntlet right at him, releasing a crippling torrent of flames and heat.
Bakugou walked to where he could hear the villain's pained cries to make sure he couldn't escape. After seeing him on the floor, clothes fried to a crisp as he twitched on the ground, Bakugou turned back around, confident he wasn't going anywhere.
He took Miwako back from Kirishima's hold. She seemed more lucid than before, but after a quick check, she still couldn't hear anything. He clicked his tongue in frustration as he held her close, keeping her shielded from the wind pressure resulting from All Might's fight as he dug his heels into the ground.
He carried her to the medical staff outside the building once the fight was over. He overheard some of the statements his classmates gave as he watched Miwako get checked over.
"Ghost appeared and helped, but suddenly she fell to the ground holding her ears and then just poof! Gone, right in front of us" Someone said.
Bakugou frowned, as he continued to hear the same story from others.
Bakugou walked to Miwako's house the day after the attack after not hearing a word from her since she left with the paramedics for them to take a look at her ears. He knocked loudly on the door and waited for someone to open it.
"Young Bakugou! What a pleasant surprise, are you here to check on Miwako?" All Might opened the door wider and let Bakugou in.
He tried shaking off the feeling that he knew him from somewhere, but that was just ridiculous. He's known Miwako's father for years now, of course he would feel some familiarity to the older man. "Yeah, is she in her room?" He asked as he slipped off his shoes and into the slippers that Miwako had specifically bought for him.
"She's actually in the shower now, but go ahead and head up to her room if you want. I have to leave now for work." All Might said as he rushed to put his shoes on.
Bakugou nodded as he walked up the stairs. He's been here billions of times and knew the layout as if it was his own house. When he got to the second floor, a small smile formed on his face when he heard singing coming from the bathroom.
That look quickly disappeared when he opened her room to find pictures and decorations she never had before. Forgetting to close the door behind him, he took several quick steps in as he saw the picture of 3 people on her desk. He carefully picked it up and was majorly confused about who the people were.
He knew she had a twin, knew her mom had long red hair, knew she got both her hair color and eye color from her dad. If he hadn't known they died years ago he would have said that this was them, but it couldn't be. He placed the frame back where he found it and walked to the ones on her walls. He took note of what a majority had in common. A headband with a metal piece and a swirling design right in the middle piece.
In the photos Miwako wore her hero costume surrounded by people he never met and who he would have sworn was her twin if he didn't know he died years ago. He stopped walking when he saw white peeking out of a mass of black cloth. He didn't register the sound of water turning off as he crouched down to the floor and pulled back the rough fabric, revealing a white painted porcelain dog mask on the ground. He picked it up and the mass of black on the ground. Lifting it, he could tell it was a cloak, one he saw just the day before.
"Katsuki?" A scared voice called from behind him.
