Chapter 22
The next day they were all sluggish but forced themselves to act at least semi-normal to keep eyes off of them, especially due to the eyes that were on Miwako. They took their seats as Aizawa started class. Finals were only 1 week away, time flew by and now everyone was scrambling to figure out how they were going to study.
Miwako was average in the class, but she knew her math grades were slipping and she needed help. She looked next to her and saw Kirishima with a terrified look on his face and grabbed his attention and gestured silently to Bakugou. He immediately caught on to what she was suggesting and stood by his desk, faces pressed up against each other cheek to cheek with tears in their eyes as they clasped their hands together.
"Please tutor us∼∼∼" They bat their eyes at him with both hands clasped and pouting.
Bakugou looked disgusted and pushed their faces away from his "Get the fuck away from me! Why the hell should I tutor you extras? Seems like a waste of fucking time."
Miwako gave a dramatic sigh with a hand over her heart "I guess you can't tutor us while working on your own assignments huh? I see that we have no other choice than to ask Momo for help since you obviously can't do it."
His competitive nature reared its ugly head yet again. "Are you saying I can't do something, Whiskers? I'll beat the information into both your heads!"
Kirishima and Miwako high-fived. "Great! Text us when you're free to help us study!" The rest of the day was spent lamenting over the exams and predicting what would be on them. Especially the practical. Miwako had an idea of what they would be doing, but even the close relationships she had with her teachers didn't allow her to know exactly what they were planning.
"Hey, let's go on a date or whatever." Bakugou said as they walked home from school. This shocked Miwako and she turned to look at him. "I thought you'd be more focused on studying and practicing for the finals. Did you change your mind?"
He scowled and pulled one of her pigtails. "You think I can't multitask! Don't fucking look down on me. I got it all planned, tomorrow we go to the aquarium right when it opens. I am not spending the day around bratty crotch goblins. In the afternoon we would go to the cafe so I can beat the information into you and shitty hair's heads." He grinned after he explained.
She laughed and looped her arm around his. "Sounds like a plan. It'll be a nice breather after everything." They continued their walk until they got home. The next day Miwako got up early and picked out a skirt, crop top, and a bomber jacket for her first date. She decided that she would let her hair down for the day, something she rarely does. She already packed her bag with everything she needed to study the night before so she grabbed it and walked downstairs.
"Where are you going kiddo?" All Might asked from the kitchen. "I'm going on a date with Katsuki." She said cheerfully as she put on her sneakers.
He spit out his coffee into the sink. "D-Date!? Since when?"
"He asked me yesterday. We're gonna go to the aquarium and then meet up with Kirishima, later on, to study at the cafe."
"He asked you on a date but then you are going to study after with someone else? Are you alright with that?" All Might asked, while he didn't have much experience in the dating department that just doesn't seem right.
"Of course I am. The finals are coming up and I'm just happy he still thinks about spending alone time with me that doesn't have anything to do with school. I already know how much he wants to be the best so why would that bother me? He's just being him." She didn't understand what the problem was. So what if they weren't going to spend the whole day just the two of them, they do that already.
A knock sounded at the door and Miwako was about to go open it when All Might rushed right past her and swung the door open in his larger form. "I heard you were taking my daughter out on a date."
A flash of panic briefly crossed Bakugou's face before it smoothed over again. "Yes sir."
All Might leaned down and spoke through gritted teeth. "There better be no funny business. Have her home by 9." And then he leaned back to straighten his back with a joyous laugh, nothing like the tone he used before, and smacked Bakugou on the back hard enough to make him stumble forward. "You kids have fun now!"
Miwako shot out from behind him and started dragging Bakugou to the train station, waving goodbye. "See ya later Dad!"
He smiled and waved back before closing the door immediately pulling his phone out of his pocket, chewing on his fingernails. "Aizawa! Miwako is on a date!"
Bakugou lifted the bouquet of wildflowers he had in his hands. "Here." He said aggressively as he shoved them into her chest. She smiled as she looked at it in her hands. "It's beautiful." She took the flowers and started to weave them into a flower crown as they walked. He took her bag from her so her hands would be free and carried it the rest of the day. Once she finished and placed it on her head she turned to look at him. "What do you think?"
He gave her a lopsided smirk and tilted the crown on her head. "Looks alright." She laughed, arm in arm with him as they made their way to their destination. He paid for their tickets even though she protested. He kept her away from the ticket booth by holding the back of her jacket.
The aquarium just opened so there were only a few people in at the time with them so there wasn't a large crowd taking up the entire view of the smaller tanks. They were lucky that day since she got to see a seahorse giving birth. "Katsuki look! She's having her babies."
"That's a male dumbass. Male seahorses are the ones that give birth."
She turned back to the tank in wonder. "Huh, the more you know."
He trailed behind her as she hoped from tank to tank. He already came here multiple times with his family over the years and just enjoyed watching her get excited over seemingly mundane things.
She was standing in the middle of the underwater tunnel watching as a whale shark swam above her and he couldn't help but take a photo. It was the perfect shot, he could see her smile as her head was tilted up and he was lucky enough to get a second one where she was looking straight at him with her hand reaching for his.
He took it and spun her around, her laugh echoing in the small space. He could listen to that sound for hours. He swooped down to steal a kiss before letting her go. Walking past through the tunnel they made their way outside, where they kept their larger sharks and two touch tanks that people could reach in to touch stingrays and epaulette sharks.
Miwako excitedly bent over to touch one. "Woah, they feel so weird." Her fingers ran across some of the sharks she could reach. She spotted a ray a little farther out and placed her hand on the rail to keep it steady as she stretched out farther.
She didn't notice her skirt riding up due to her movements, but some definitely did. Bakugou quickly moved behind her as he shrugged his jacket off, leaving him in his rusty orange t-shirt. He wrapped it around her waist as he glared at the people behind him. "The fuck are you extras lookin' at!"
His actions and voice caused her to look back, but her sudden movement made her hand slip and she was about to fall right into the tank if Bakugou didn't have fast enough reflexes to catch her and pull her back toward him. "Tch, be fuckin' careful." He growled.
"Thank you." She reached down to pull his jacket off from around her waist, but he slapped her hands away. "Keep it until we get out of here."
They continued walking around the aquarium, but he kept his arm around her the entire time, glaring at the other people around them. They already spent a good hour and a half and it was starting to get busier. She pulled them into the gift shop for souvenirs before they left to get lunch.
He took her to a hole-in-the-wall ramen place. She would forever say that Ichiraku ramen was the best, but this place definitely could take second place easily. She wiggled in her seat as she went through bowl after bowl.
Bakugou wanted to be disgusted, and he probably would be if it was anyone else, but it wasn't anyone else. He just watched fondly as the bowls started to stack up next to her. The owners watched in amazement as a small girl went through 6 bowls before stopping. She started to take out cash to pay, but Bakugou was smarter than her. He already paid as she began her 6th bowl, knowing that she would fight him on it again.
Miwako pouted at that. "Why would you pay? I ate a lot and you already spent money on the tickets for the aquarium."
He rolled his eyes "What kind of man would I be if I let my girl pay?"
"But the food was expensive!"
"You saying I can't afford to feed you?!" He roared. Passerbys flinched at his sudden loud voice. They looked at her in concern but saw that she was amused and chuckling at his behavior.
It was finally time to meet up with Kirishima. He was already standing with his own bag in front of the cafe by the time they got there. "Eijiro!" She called out to catch his attention. He looked up from his phone and his eyes widened at their form. He knew they were close, but didn't know they held hands.
"Hey Miwa, Bakubro. You should wear your hair down more, it looks great!" He said, causing her to blush slightly. "Thanks Ei." They all walked in together and chose the booth farthest in the back. Miwako and Bakugou sat next to each other as Kirishima slid into the seat across from them. History was Kirishima's worst subject, so he started with that as Miwako took out her math book. Bakugou had all his notes out to review as he answered their questions.
He got so frustrated with Kirishima that he rolled up his workbook and started hitting him in the head, screaming as he pointed to the problem. Miwako gave a sheepish grin to the waitress and mouthed a silent apology.
Hours passed and they decided to pack up for the night. Miwako lifted her arms up behind her head and pushed her chest forward to stretch out her back after being hunched over for so long. Kirishima stared at the smooth expanse of her stomach as her shirt rode up and a small blush appeared on his cheeks and ears. A harsh kick landed on his shin making him jump out of his seat. "Ow! What was that man?"
"She's mine." He growled as his arm wrapped around her shoulders pulling her closer.
Kirishima looked between the two with a dumbfounded expression. "Wait, you and-you guys are dating?!"
"Yes"
"I guess?"
Bakugou turned to her, furious. "What do you mean 'you guess'?" She scratched her cheek, "Well you never really asked me to be your girlfriend."
"Like hell, I told you I don't just kiss anyone and that you're mine didn't I!"
"Katsuki…that is not asking me to date you."
"Well, shit do I have to ask you now?!"
She shook her head and snickered. "No, you don't. We're dating."
"Damn right." Bakguou said, nodding his head. Kirishima's eyes bounced back and forth between the pair. A large grin plastered on his face. "Well, congratulations. I'm happy for you two."
"Thanks Ei, you're the first person to know."
"I'm honored." he said with a hand on his chest. They wrapped everything up and headed home. Bakugou took her back home, she would have flashed there herself, but not with the commission watching her.
All Might and Aizawa were waiting for them on the couch when they walked in. "So how was your date?" All Might asked.
She sat down on the couch and told them about what she saw. Both men were listening carefully and nodding along as she spoke. "So he acted like a gentleman the entire time." Aizawa said, staring right at Bakugou.
"He was perfect." She confirmed.
"Is this…" All Might pointed to the pair. "Official?"
They nodded. "Then no more sleeping in the same room." All Might concluded.
"But why now?" Miwako asked.
"Because you guys are now together."
"We started dating during the internships, and it didn't affect anything."
I need to have a talk with Best Jeanist. "Well…" He looked at Aizawa for support.
Aizawa whipped out a book from who knows where. "If you two want to keep sleeping in the same room, then we will be going through the sex talk." He was so tired.
The pair flinched back. "Like hell we are!" Bakugou screamed.
"Either the talk or no sharing rooms, your choice." He was internally begging them to not share rooms, but his expression didn't change.
They looked at each other, faces carefully blank, and then turned back. "We'll take the talk." Neither wanted to give up cuddling.
Fuck. "Fine," Aizawa said and opened the book. "This is the anatomy of the male penis along with the scrotum. Sperm is produced in the testes and is mixed with semen when the male ejaculates." He turned the page. "This is the uterus along with the fallopian tubes and ovaries. The onset of sexual maturity begins during a female's first period. This means that the female can now get pregnant. Each month the female goes through what is known as the menstrual cycle. The egg travels from the ovaries into the fallopian tube where if there is sperm present it will fertilize the egg and it will get implanted in the uterine lining. If there is no fertilization the lining will be shed and that is a period."
Aizawa slipped through the book, talking about everything he could including different protection and how to use it. "Miwako you can talk to Recovery Girl more about birth control if you want to get on them. I don't know how it would affect you due to your higher metabolism and Kurama's chakra running through you. Any questions." he said as he snapped the book of horrors closed.
He looked around and all three of them had carefully blank faces. "No, I think we will be fine. Thank you." Miwako said as she pulled Bakugou up and walked upstairs.
All Might was mumbling to himself on the couch. "How could this be? She was only 10 not too long ago and now she has a boyfriend. She can't be old enough to date. This has to be a mistake. Did I do something wrong as a parent?"
Aizawa rolled his eyes and got up to leave. He wasn't paid enough for this and hoped that it would be the last sex talk he would ever give. He burned the book the second he got home.
Miwako took over Bakugou's training for the practical as she took him to the forest where she normally goes. She made sure the person following her doesn't realize she left the house. "Alright, we only got a week but that has to be enough. Take off all your weights, you have to get used to fighting without them now."
They got into fighting positions opposite of each other and when Bakugou moved to charge at her, his eyes visibly widened at his increased speed before a wild grin spread across his face. He was improving at such a rapid rate. He actually managed to land several hits on her this time, but still couldn't win.
After several rounds without quirks, she had them take a break while she put up barriers around them, giving them a large area to work with. "You can use your quirk now, but let's take away your sight again. You need to develop a danger sense that is so ingrained into you that you just move without even registering it."
They trained vigorously every day, sometimes even having Kirishima joining them. He was the perfect sparring partner for Bakugou since he could take the damage while increasing his own defense at the same time. She could already see them having an agency together when they become pros. They would be the perfect team.
She spent the nights making seals that Bakugou could use in a pinch. They would be hard to explain away, but she wanted to make sure she did everything she could to keep him alive. She had paralysis seals and exploding tags ready for him. He already carried her privacy seals and barriers, what's a few more.
She appeared at the cabin, the day before the written exams and saw Dabi already there waiting for her on the couch. "Glad you actually came." She said to catch his attention.
He was sprawled out, arm over his eyes as he rested. "Wouldn't miss this for the world dollface." He sniffed the air and his arm moved as he lifted his head. "Aww did you bring food for me?"
She rolled her eyes and pushed his feet off the couch placing the bag of takeout on the coffee table. "Yes, now make room. I'm starving."
She took out his portion and opened her own box. "By the way are you allergic to anything?"
"No, why? Trying to kill me with it?"
"Why is that the first thing you ask? I can't be friends with a ghost. Tell me something about yourself then."
He moved the food away from his mouth, taking on a look of extreme concentration. "I hate fish."
"I'm not picky with anything I eat." she said.
"I didn't ask."
She sighed in irritation. "You didn't have to. This is us trying to get to know each other so I'm going to offer up stuff about me too." She got up and turned on the TV. "Let's watch a movie." She started scrolling through everything she had and saw one that she thought he might like. "Ever watched Pirates of the Caribbean?"
"Never able to watch movies as a kid." Everything he said was either so irritatingly sarcastic or downright depressing. "Well now you can, it's from 2003 and there are 6 of them." She clicked on the first of the franchise and pressed play.
"It's ancient."
"It's good, now hush."
The movie played and Touya actually found himself smothering a small smile or two from some of the scenes. This was actually the most relaxed he had ever been since leaving his family. Everywhere he went he had to be on guard to make sure that he wasn't taken by surprise. He had a goal to live for after all. They were able to watch the second movie until it got too late and they had to leave.
"Hey, the commission has a tail on me so be careful." she warned.
That caused him to raise an eyebrow. "What'd you do?"
"Unfortunately caught their attention." She said before disappearing.
AN: Alright guys don't kill me for such a long wait. I'm uploading this without doing a final check for spelling errors so please ignore those until I can fix it. It has been a long several months. I'm still working full time however I am back in school again so free time has been pretty scarce. I've been trying to write as much as I can however this is taking me much longer than I hoped it would. When I originally started writing this story I figured I could have it done within a year. I am so off from that estimation it's not even funny. I didn't take into account wanting to rewrite it and then working full time as well.
I do have a question for you all. Would you prefer me writing several chapters and uploading maybe 2 or 3 at a time without editing and then going back to refine it once the story is complete or go one at a time like I have been?
