Johan deeply inhaled and all of the blood from Andrias' severed hand was immediately sucked into his mouth. "Ahhh..." He slowly advanced toward the group with one emotion on his face: Hunger.
"He's a...he's a..." stammered Marcy.
"Vampire," finished Anne with fear. "How did he get like this?!"
"He...he told me to put the Stone Mask on him," said Polly, who was now starting to regret her decision.
"Well, that was a dumb idea," snapped Yunan.
"More," growled Johan. "More!" He suddenly leaped toward Anne and dug his nails into her throat. She let out a gurgling choke as she tried to force him off, but couldn't. "JoJo..." she choked. "Stop..."
"JoJo!" Sasha grabbed the abandoned gunblade and pointed it at Johan with trembling hands. "Don't make me do this!" He looked up at her, growled, and sunk his nails deeper. "I warned you!" BANG! Johan looked up, pulled the bullet out from between his eyes, and held it between his fingers. He licked it clean of blood and flicked it away as the bullet hole healed itself.
"Okay," said Sasha with fear. "I'm starting to believe the whole 'DIO was a vampire' thing now!"
"How do we stop him," Yunan asked. "After he drains Anne, he'll come after all of us next!" She had faced a lot of horrors before in her lifetime as a soldier, but never had she faced an undead being.
Andrias chuckled as he wrapped his bloody stump with a piece of his cape. "Oh, the irony. I don't have to lift a finger to kill you after all! Your friend is going to do it for me!"
"Does anyone have any garlic or silver stakes," asked Marcy. "That always works in the movies."
"Wait, I got some garlic in my pocket," said Hop Pop as he pulled out some cloves of garlic. "I always save these for a rainy day." He held up the garlic to Johan's face. "JoJo. Listen, I don't want to have to do this, but if you keep this up, I'm going to have to..." He didn't get to finish his sentence as Johan swatted the garlic out of his hand. "How was that supposed to work exactly?"
"What about sunlight," asked Sasha. "That's always the number one way to kill vampires."
"Oh, sure, we got plenty of sunlight," snarked Polly. "IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!"
"Wait," said Sprig. "Ripple gives you the power of the sun!" Johan's eyes widened with fear. "Oh, you don't like that, huh?" Sprig took a deep breath and activated his Ripple, and Johan flinched in reaction. "JoJo, if you can hear me, I love you like an older brother, but if you don't get off of Anne now, I will Overdrive your butt from here to kingdom come!"
What Johan did next surprised everyone. He let go of Anne and held his hands up defensively. "Sprig, I was just kidding!"
"Huh?"
"Yeah, how else was I going to make Andrias drop his guard?"
"Again, huh?"
Then he grabbed a large stone floor tile and flung it at Andrias, who didn't have enough time to stop it and it slammed him straight in the face, breaking his nose in the process. Then he yanked Andrias' beard, ripping it off and making him scream in a high pitch, followed by a slam into his chest; Andrias was sure he felt his ribcage crack. Then at inhuman speed, Johan ran behind Andrias, grabbed him by the tail and began to spin him around. Faster and faster, building momentum until he let go and sent Andrias flying out a window. "So long-a Andrias!"
Everyone was silent with shock. To see a scrawny kid effortlessly lift a giant such as Andrias and throw him out the window was...well, it was something. "Holy frog," was all they could think to say.
"JoJo, you're still you," asked Sasha.
"Yeah, I'm still me," he replied with a smile. Then Sasha ran up to him and hugged him, startling him. Then he returned the hug.
"Don't ever scare me like that again, JoJo," she whispered. "I thought I lost you."
"I can't keep any promises, but I'll try."
Meanwhile, Diego managed to crawl out of the rubble that was once the throne and shouted, "GUARDS! KILL THEM ALL!"
A group of Newtopian guards burst down the doors and pointed their spears at the group. "Guards, stand down," shouted Olivia. "Andrias lied about everything! He wants to take over the world!"
"We don't take orders from traitors, my Lady," one of the guards said, making her gasp.
The guards lunged forward, but Johan raised his hands and red tendrils shot out and impaled themselves into the guards before draining them of all their blood. No. They weren't tentacles, but rather, his own blood veins.
Anne and her friends watched the scene with horror. "This is what vampires are capable of," asked Marcy. "This is nothing like that movie Sasha made us watch."
"Fairy Blood Fest," recalled Sasha. "A classic."
After reducing the guards to withered husks, Johan retracted his blood veins back into his fingers, then licked them clean. Diego watched as a smile formed on his face. "So this is the power of the Stone Mask. Mmm, mmm, mmm," he chuckled as his began to transform into his raptor form with the help of Scary Monsters. "You know, I haven't had a real challenge in a while. I HOPE YOU DON'T DISAPPOINT, JOESTAR!"
"WRRRYYY!"
Diego and Johan charged at each other and began biting, kicking, and scratching each other before Diego grabbed Johan by the throat and threw him at the wall. He then began strangling Johan, only for Johan to grab him by the tail and throw him to the ground before slamming his feet into his chest, making him spew blood. Diego then turned into a pteranodon and tried to fly away, only for Johan to grab him by the wings and pull him down before slamming him into a pillar.
Johan licked the blood off his fingers as he grinned before he scratched his nails across the wall as he scratched his claws along the wall. "Wrrryyy..." he growled. Diego changed back into his newt form and spat blood. "Such a shame, Joestar. In another life, we could have been friends. Partners. BROTHERS-IN-ARMS!" His head turned into that of a T-Rex, only for Johan to dodge and sink his nails into his throat. He let out a gasp as he returned to normal.
"How do you know that name," Johan asked as he tightened his grip.
SCHUNK! Silver Bullet had snuck up behind Johan and pierced his barbed tongue into his back. Then suddenly, the cone snail let out a squeal of pain as he pulled back his tongue and writhed around. Johan regurgitated the poison and spat it out onto the floor. "What did you do to my snail," choked Diego.
"Did you forget about my Stand," Johan asked rhetorically. "I had DARE modify Silver Bullet's sense of taste, tricking him into thinking he licked some salt. I won't ask again, Diego." He began to slowly drain Diego's blood. "How do you know that name?!"
Diego choked, "The...Meteor..."
"What?"
Diego didn't respond anymore as he turned his tail into an ankylosaurus' and slammed it into Johan's chest, sending him flying into another pillar. Johan got back up and his internal injuries healed on their own. "Wrrryyy..."
The others watched with dumbfounded awe. "This has become a fight between monsters," said Grime. "We cannot stay here anymore."
"We've gotta get out of here now," said Hop Pop. "But how?"
Anne looked at her hands. "We opened a portal to defeat Funny Valentine, we can open another portal to get us home."
"I'm with you, girl," said Sasha. "But this could drain whatever powers we have left."
"It can't hurt to try," Marcy replied. "I'm willing to try anything!"
Anne and Sasha look at her skeptically. "Are you really sure you want to do this," said the former. "After all that you've done..."
"I'm sorry, okay?" cried Marcy. "Running away and dragging you girls and JoJo here was the stupidest mistake of my life, and I want to do anything to make up for it! I'll go home with you...even if it means moving to another state."
Anne put a hand on her shoulder. "We'll make it work somehow. We're never going to drift apart."
"As sappy as that is," said Sasha. "She's right. BFF's forever, right?"
Marcy smiled. "Right. Let's get that portal open."
"Just think of home and hum the tune from the music box," said Anne. All three girls raised up their hands, activated what little of their powers they had left, tried hard to picture their home in their minds, and together, they hummed the song again. The ball of light shot out of their hands and formed a window that revealed a Los Angeles highway at night. The girls' hair and eye color returned to normal again and they collapsed, but were helped back up thanks to the Plantars, Grime, Olivia, and Yunan.
"It worked," cheered Sprig and Polly.
"JoJo! They got the portal open!" called out Hop Pop.
A punch from Diego sent Johan sliding across the floor, coming to a stop at the group's feet. He gave them a thumbs up. "Great."
Diego saw the portal and said, "They got it to work?!"
Before anyone could make another move, Andrias' voice rang out, "JOESTAR!" The giant salamander king crashed through the ceiling and glared at the group. Blood was leaking from his mouth, his breathing was ragged, and his face was twisted with rage. Then he saw the portal. "They got a portal to open on their own? NO! I WON'T LET YOU ESCAPE!" He charged forward, swatting Olivia and Yunan aside.
"Everyone, go!" shouted Grime as he summoned Toxic Avenger. "I'll hold him off!" Well, he didn't really get the chance. Andrias summoned Imagine Dragon, who blasted a fireball out its mouth and sent Grime flying out the window.
"Grime!" shouted Sasha. She summoned Slash and tried to attack Andrias, only to get swatted out the same window.
"Sasha!" called out Anne.
"Quick," shouted Marcy. "Into the portal everyone, hurry!"
Anne, the Plantars, and Johan ran into the portal. Anne called out, "Marcy, hurry!"
"I just need to-" SHKAKOOM! A ball of fire blasted Marcy, scorching her entire body. She collapsed and did not get back up. Andrias stood behind her, Imagine Dragon by his side. "Now look what you made me do," he growled as he dismissed his Stand.
Time seemed to slow down for Anne. The sight of Marcy being roasted before her very eyes played over and over again until she cried out, "MARCY!"
Then, all she could see was white...
The next thing Anne, the Plantars, and Johan knew, they lying on top of a family's car. A human family's car. The father took a picture of them with his phone. Anne, the Plantars, and Johan looked around and they saw towering skyscrapers with the lights all turned on, roads made of asphalt, billboards, and cars driving on and off the freeway.
"What the...?!" exclaimed Polly as she held Frobo's head close.
"Oh, my frog!" exclaimed Sprig.
"What is this place?" asked Hop Pop.
After a brief moment of silence, Anne gave the answer. "Home."
"We're back on Earth," said Johan solemnly. A car horn honking made him jump. "Uh, guys, we need to get off the street. We're causing a traffic jam."
Meanwhile, somewhere in an office in an undisclosed location, a blonde-haired, blue-eyed caucasian man in a pink suit was typing away on his keyboard when suddenly, he heard a groan behind him. He turned around and gasped when he saw a blue newt as large as a man wearing a pink suit, and covered in blood. The man let out a scream, grabbed the keyboard and held it up in defense. "What the hell are you?!"
"Your...turn..." Those were the last words the newt said before collapsing, never to get back up again.
The man's eyes suddenly dilated for a brief moment before they returned to normal. The fear was replaced with calm as he set the keyboard down. "Yes," he said. "It's my turn. Now, I have to dispose of the body."
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap appeared next to him.
