Almost Lost him
What if the sisters had Nightmares over almost losing Lincoln in "no time to spy?" spoilers apply if you haven't seen it yet.

"Goodbye Everyone."
Those were the last words that Lori Loud heard from her younger brother Lincoln as he closed the entrance to the makeshift escape pod in the rocket that was sending them to space. He had chosen to make the ultimate sacrifice and save his family from spending the rest of their lives in space while dooming himself to it. As the septic tank fall back to earth the only thoguht in Lori's mind was "this can't be happing!" the tank landed on the beach and the family got out, she tried to say something…anything but it was as if her mind had been shut down unable to process what had happened due to a combinations of grieve and disbelief. As the rocket made its way into orbit all Lori could do was scream the name of the one person left behind " LINCOLN!"
Then Lori awoke with a gasp. She wasn't at the beach she was in her old room at her old house, Leni sleeping in her bed not too fat away. "darn it" she thoguht "how many times have I had this nightmare?" It had been about a week since her Pop Pop's wedding to Mrytle, but instead of being focusing on that, or that she had a new gran-gran, or that she (after her sister Lynn "training" her do so), had caught the bouquet at said wedding which meant that her and Bobby's wedding would be next, all her mind seemed to be able to think about was how close she had come to losing her only brother.
"this is literary pointless" she thoguht to herself. Her little brother WASN'T on a one-way trip to outer space, She KNEW that because of Mrytle suggestions of using Lisa's laser so shoot down a satellite to bring the rocket back into orbit that he was in his own room sleeping. She was sure of it! but her mind still wasn't at ease so she wondered if she should get up and see him there for herself. "well… sleep isn't coming anytime soon so I might as well" she thoguht. She got up and walked silently over to her room door only to be interrupted by her roommates voices
"Lori? What are you doing up?" Leni asked.
Lori turned to her "I could be asking you the same question Leni?"
Leni frowned "I…Totes can't sleep."
Lori then walked to her sister bed and asked, "why is that?"
While it subtle Lori could tell there was some fear and sadness in Leni eyes as she said "I…keep thinking about the wedding and what happened at it"
Lori raised her eye brow in confusion "you mean you are happy over having Mrytle as are new gran-gran?" she asked.
Leni shook her head "no…I meant I keep think about Linky and what almost happened to him."
Lori's was shocked! Leni couldn't sleep for the EXACT same reason she couldn't!
Leni, not understand what Lori's face meant added "I know it's silly and that he's in his own bed but I can't help it, sorry."
Lori shook away her shocked expression "no Leni that's not silly at all. I…actually can't sleep for the same reason"
now it was Leni's turn to be shocked "you can't?" she asked.
Leni shook her head. "I…was actually getting up to prove to myself he's in his room….want to join me?"
Leni thought about it for a few seconds the nodded her head. Both girls quietly left their room and walk down the hall to Lincoln room. Lori, as quietly as she could opened the door. She looked in the room and saw that he was asleep in fact asleep in his bed with bun-bun in his hands. She breathed sight of relief.
"Lori move over I want to see Linky too." A voice whispered and tried to push Lori out of the doorframe.
'don't push me Leni." Lori whispered back"
the voice replied, "I'm not Leni!"
Lori looked and to her shock it there next to her wasn't Leni but instead Lola. "Lola?! What are YOU doing out of bed?"
the pageant loving girls glared "Same as you I want to see Linky!"
Lori glared right back at her "Lola just go back to bed!"
"NO! not before I see Linky!"
"hey, move it along we want to see Lincoln too!" came a third voice.
Lori and Lola turned to see Luna, Lynn Jr, Lana, Luan, Lisa, Lucy and even Lilly standing in the hall
Lori sighed " everyone go back to your rooms right now"
The girls glared at her. "oh, I see how it is if you want to see that Stinkcoln is sleeping in his room its ok but if we do it is wrong, well I'm not giving up!" said Lynn jr. Leni, Luna, Lana, Luan, Lisa, Lucy and Lilly all nodded in agreement and moved forward to push past Lori and Lola to get to the doorframe. The 10 girls started to push and shove each other to get to their common goal but soon became entangled with each other making ay forward movement impossible.
Lori had enough "OK EVERYONE STOP!" she said in voice barely above a whisper. The other sister stopped in that tracks. Lori sighed "look everyone if we keep this up we're liable to wake up Lincoln as well as Mom and Dad and I don't want to have to explain to them what's happening here."
"But you don't have to worry about that" said Leni. The others sisters gave her their full attention "and why is that Leni" said Luan.
"because mom and dad are right here!" came the response. The girls turned and sure enough in the hallways stood Rita and Lynn sr.
the two just stared at their daughters for a few minutes. "girls you should all be in bed" said Rita in stern voice.
"we know mom" Lori responded
"but we wanted to see that Lincoln was in his room" Lana continued
"we…needed to know that he was still here after….." said Lucy
Rita and Lynn sighed in response.
"we….understand girls in fact we…got up to see him too" said Lynn sr. Rita nodded
"I….think we need to talk about….what happened but here is NOT the place to do it lets go
The girls and their parents were sitting on the coach look at phots of Lincoln, each of them had a thoguht of a moment they shared with him playing in their heads
For Lynn is was when he and Lincoln were on "legend of the hidden temple" he was ecstatic that he could finally share something with his son! Oh, sure they didn't win and they hat to run in the airport in the underwear. But it was all worth it to be able to share something with the only other male member of the house.
For Rita it was when Lincoln had helped her with her novel. While she wasn't upset at him destroying the original he HAD allowed her to started anew, something she wanted to do for quite a while. She had always loved writing, and while the novel never got published, it did encourage her to find a new job which in lead her to her current job of a newspaper columnist
For Lori it was when he took on her job at Gus's Games and Grub. While he had milked her into giving him free stuff (latter she found out it was to impress that little red haired jerk Chandler so that he could go to a party at the sewage plant) he willingly gave up the opportunity to go to said party to make amends to her. Lori had always been impressed with him, next to her (and sometimes even above her) he seems to be the most level handed and the one who could lead the siblings for a common goal.
For Leni it was two memories, the 1st had been him helping her to learn how to drive, while he ultimately ended up failing the driving test ( up until she had earned it thanks to Lisa's invention) he still had been so helpful and had learned to speak Leni (she still couldn't find that country on a map no matter how hard she looked) the 2nd memory was when he and Clyde got her job at Reiningers back. She had worked so hard there only to be fired because of a misunderstanding but then like the hero was Lincoln had come in and saved her job. She still worked there and had gotten promoted to temporary manager.
For Luna it was that awesome concert they had gone to. While she had gone overboard in trying helping him, once she explained why she was trying to help he was much more receptive to her tips and they had a blast. it was easily one of the best concerts she had even gone to, and most of the was due to her being able to bound with her little brother. She also thought of the time he had helped her convince her parents to get her that "Mic Swagger shirt"
For Luan it was him helping her with her birthday service business. He might have become a bit egotistical, but he was just starting out and when he brought up the fact that her business would take a hit if she didn't help him, she immediately drop whatever grudge she held and went to help him. The two had performed great and it was easily one of her best times she had in running that business.
Lynn remembered that time where Lincoln and her had teamed up to find out why Chef Pat seemed to have such a grudge against her. She had given up on having a good meal at middle school due to it and now she didn't have to worry about that at all. They had made a great team! She wondered if she could have asked him to join the hall monitors.
Lucy memory was one that filled her with both happiness and shame for it was when he willing took the fail for her during the toilet clogging incident. She was all set to take accept responsibly for her actions, only to have him swope in and take the blame (and the taunting that came with it) because he knew that despite, how she came across as emotionless to most in the world, that she was sensitive to her image of being a darkness loving little girl.
Lana had two big memories with her brother. The first was when he helped her save his science class frogs from being dissected, it had been fun to have gone on that rescue mission and it had resulted in not only the frogs being save but also the live dissections being replace with virtual ones so that they students could still learn but not have to deal with grimmer aspects of dissection. The other was when he had helped her try to win a race so she could get a ride along with Bobby Fletcher. While he HAD resorted to cheating on her behalf she knew that it was just caused he cared for her and wanted to see her dream come true. He head might but been in the wrong place but his heart wasn't.
Lola remembered when he had help her learn to read. She wanted to read so badly not only so that she could enjoy the books he keep suggesting to her, not only so she could take part in the contest to win the pizza party but also so that she could stop being ashamed over her troubles with reading (Lisa called it Dyslexia) he have even tried to take the fall for her but she couldn't let him do that, not when he have been so patient with her in helping her, and not when he had stop caring about the contest because he knew that her reading was more important.
Lisa kept thinking about time when she had joined him in his fifth-grade class. While she had annoyed him and his classmates to the point of hm asking her do change herself, he was also the first to ask her to go back to how she used to be because he saw that her work was important. He was a good man indeed.
While Lily was too young to truly remember the time she spent with Lincoln she did look up to him a LOT. He was kind, he was patient and he as resourceful. He was a big inspiration for her when she thoguht of her out plans, in fact during the Sundae incident and especially during when she accidently shrunk her preschool classmates when she had "borrowed" Lisa invention she thoguht to herself "what would Lincoln do" and both time had helped her out in implementing her own plans.
As the group remember these times they become even more uncomfortable with what took place on the island. Tears began to from in their eyes, even Lynn Jr's and Lisa's and they become overcome with a melancholy over almost losing the only son/brother they had.
It was Rita who broke the silence first.
"Ok everyone just sitting here and look at these pictures isn't helping…we…NEED address what…almost happened.
While sisters were hesitant at first they all knew that she was right .
"When…Linky offered to stay behind I…want to scream NO you can't leave me" said Leni
"I was so sure he was just going to get in the pod after us when I heard him telling "I'm so sorry" to Pop-Pop and Gran Gran I thoguht he meant he was sorry for unintentionally causing what happened to that.,. He was going to…." Lana said getting choked up at the end
Lynn suddenly glared at Lori
"WHY didn't YOU try to stop him Lori, you were the last one of use besides him, to Pop-Pop and Gran Gran to get in the septic tank"
Lori glared right back
"I literally had no idea he was going to do that Lynn, I thoguht he was going to get in right behind me, DON'T YOU THINK I WOULD HAVE GRABBED HIM I KNEW WHAT HE WAS PLANNING!?"
"don't say that Lynn she had no idea what was going to happen none of us" Lucy said
Luna look at Lucy with a glare
"oh, you're one to take miss I "I should have brought more coffins"! I know you like the macabre but that was a little too much to joke about."
Lucy gave her a cold stare, even colder the what she usually gave.
"I was trying not to panic and it was dealing with it the only way knew how I didn't mean it to sound like a joke!"
This time it was Luan who glared at her
"Well next time keep it to yourself, I'm all for a good joke but time and place!"
Lisa came to defend Lucy
"oh, that's the pot calling the kettle black"
Lana tried to quiet everyone down
"GUYS keep it down we don't want to wake Lincoln up"
Lola more out of habit and at the frustration of how scared and sad she felt responded
"well, if we didn't wake him up already, you certainly just did with your loud voice!
The girls arguments became loud and loud and Rita had had enough!
"ENOUGH!" she said as sternly as she could
The girls stop arguing with each other
Rita took a breath
"look girls I know what happened was scary and I know you're all confused and maybe even mad at it but you shouldn't take it out on each other!"
The girls expression soon turned sheepish and they apologized to each other and to the parents.
"Thanks mom…I…I guess we just let out fears take over" Luna said.
Lynn spoke up
"we know Luna we know…it was…traumatic for us too"
Rita let out a sob
"My only baby boy …almost died on that rocket and I couldn't do ANYTHING about it…." Before being overcome with emotions. Lynn rushed to hug and comfort her like he did back at the beach.
"we went to that island to welcome a new member of the family not lose one!" He cried
"How…could did he do that?!, Does he not know how important he is to us?" Lola said in a tone that was mixture of both anger and sorrow
"but….that my choice." Came a new voice
The group trying to see Lincoln in the living room doorway
"Lincoln did we wake you up?" Leni asked.
"I was hearing some noises downstairs and wondered what was going on so came down to check but…let's not talk about that right now" Lincoln answered. He cleared he throat and continued
"look everyone…I…KNOW what I did was drastic but I had no other choice!, it was MY fault we were in there so…if someone had to pay the price is should've been me" he said guilt-ridden
"But…Linky that's just totes wrong! how did you think we are going to explain to your friends…our friends….Everybody why you didn't come back with us?" Leni told him in a sorrowful voice
"and Fifi was the real villain, she was one who wanted to send us to space" reasoned Lori.
Lincoln turned to her, he voice full of guilt and anger
"yeah but I was the one who was tricked, she played me like a dime store harmonica. She was right I was just a stupid kid playing pretend spy" tears began to run down his face
The rest of the family stood in a mixture of shock and sorrow.
"NO" screamed Luna as she rushed over to comfort him
"no Lincoln you are NOT at fault for what happened, Fifi was the one who kidnaped Gran- Gran, Fifi was the one who sent her minions out on us and Fifi was the one tried to send us to space."
Lucy soon joined in "you are not at fault NONE of us blame you for what happened" as she too hugged him.
The rest of the group said nothing as the joined in the group hug and that was all the reassurance Lincoln needed to know what lucy said was true
Lola face turned slightly sad as she said, "but please NEVER sacrifice yourself for our sake again…I don't want to live in a world without you!"
Lynn Sr. Added
"NONE of us do champ"
The Loud family hugged each other for a few more minutes and then separated
I…Fell much better now" said Luan
"I concur" said Lisa
Lincoln the asked
"so should we all go back our own rooms? "
Luna answered "I…have a better idea.
The entire loud family was in the living room preparing to go to sleep
"good night kids" said Lynn sr.
"good night mom and dad" the kids said in unison, before saying the same to each other.
Soon enough everyone was peacefully sleeping apart from Lincoln
"this is nice" he thoguht and then felt someone clinging to him. He looked around and at his chest laid lily
"What are you doing Lilly?" he asked
"I want to sleep here, that ok" she answered, with puppy dog eyes
Lincoln, unable to resist his youngest sister's cuteness could only say "ok"
Lily cheered and said
"I wuv you Lincoln"
Lincoln smiled
"I love you too Lilly."
The loud family then drifted off to sleep knowing that there were there.

So, this is my 2nd fanfic (first to be publish on this site though, I had the idea soon after I watch "no time to spy" and checked out Jtom09're review of it where he brought up that we didn't seem much of the sisters reactions to Lincoln almost death and I thoguht why not?
I tried to have every sister have some part to play but it was hard for Lilly cause she's so young. I also admit the ending might be a little….lackluster but couldn't think of a better one.
Anyways tell me what you think and reviews are welcome!
