Mila and Tech's wedding was just around the corner, and there was still one final thing to take care of besides the bachelor and bachelorette parties; the one thing every girl who dreams of her wedding day dreams of almost as much as marrying a prince: the wedding dress.

Mirabel, being the Madrigals' family designer, was more than eager to get to design the wedding dress. However, when Boba asked his girlfriend to be his date and he told her his brother Tech was the one getting married, she felt a little upset that he didn't even ask her if she would contribute to designing any of the outfits. Roya was an amazing designer too. So, naturally, when he asked Mila about this, the bride thought it would be a brilliant idea if Roya and Mirabel combined their abilities and designed Mila's wedding dress.

Mirabel knew Mila's tastes and their family's culture and traditions, and Roya knew about color coordination, how to make fancy clothes that were also very comfortable, and she already had great designs for some shoes to go with Mila's dress.

Except….

"No, no, no!" Roya said, crumpling up the paper Mirabel had drawn a design on. "That one is all wrong. Puffy sleeves are out. Showing a little more shoulder is in."

Long story short, Mirabel and Roya were having a teensy bit of trouble agreeing on a design for the wedding gown.

"But Tia Alicia had puffy sleeves on her wedding dress, and her mama wore it when she got married." Mirabel said.

"In other words, it's already been done twice in her branch." Roya said. "By now, it's considered outdated. This is a special wedding. It needs a special dress."

Roya drew something a little different. The design she drew was of a purple mermaid dress with gold lining. It would really outline Mila's figure, it was her favorite color, and the golden bits would represent how her and Tech's love was as good as gold.

"No, that won't work." Mirabel said, tearing that from the sketchbook. "It looks too tight, and it's the wrong color."

"Well, my mom didn't get married in a white dress. Hers was yellow. Besides, Mila said how fascinated she was by the fashions of other countries in your world. She says my kingdom reminds her a little of what she's read about some place called India, I believe."

"Well, we're not having the wedding in India or your kingdom." Mirabel said.

Mirabel showed another design she had of a gown with tulip sleeves and a nice embroidered design of marigolds, but Roya thought the sleeves were too long on that one. Then Roya brought out a design of a strapless with lots of flowers, but Mirabel thought that one looked a little too out there.

"What is it with you and making your cousin's dress conform to only your family's traditions?" Roya asked.

"What do you have against long or puffy sleeves?" Mirabel said.

"Excuse me if some girls like to let their shoulders breathe a little more."

Like any argument, this one did not go completely unheard.

"What's going on in here?" asked Padme, walking in.

"Someone here thinks she knows more about dress designing than me." Roya pointed her thumb at Mirabel

"I've been designing and sewing longer than you. Ever since I was six." Mirabel said.

"I started sewing when I was four, and I started my own fashion empire at thirteen. And I'm a princess with a very saucy wardrobe."

Mirabel and Mila both started shouting out a bunch of things in Spanish or Hindi. Padme spoke a lot of languages, those two included, but hearing them at the same time was not something she was used to, even in all the times many senators started talking at once during a meeting, and some of them shouted in their native languages..

"QUIET!" Padme shouted. That made the two girls freeze.

It wasn't usually like Padme to raise her voice, but being that she was both a friends to both halves of the couple and one of the sponsors for the wedding, the only transaction she cared about was that Mila and Tech's big day be as special for both of them as possible, and she was pretty sure friends or family members arguing was not on the list of things to make it special.

"Look at you two. Fighting over who's the best designer. Both of you have beautiful designing styles, and I'm sure you can both make a design that's just right for the wedding, but arguing isn't helping anyone."

"But we can agree on a design for la vestido de boda. Princess Fashionista hates everything." Mirabel said.

"Well, Specs doesn't like my originality." Roya said.

"Hey, no need to make fun of my glasses."

"If I may suggest, is this wedding Roya's, Mirabel's, or is it for Mila?"

Both girls suddenly were silent. Maybe they really were only thinking about what kind of dresses each of them would like for their own weddings, and not enough about how Mila would like to dress for her special day.

"Padme's right. No two brides are the same. And being in such a big family, I should know about everyone having different tastes." Mirabel said.

"And I should've remembered how when I custom designed other outfits how I let the wearers have the final say." Roya sighed. "This is Mila's day. We shouldn't ruin it for her by arguing."

"Si. This is for my prima. She was there for me all my life, it's my turn to be there for her. Why don't we show Mila our designs and see which one she likes best?"

"Agreed. Where is Mila?"

Mila lay on top of Tech, kissing him like there was no tomorrow. Tech had his arms around her waist as he felt her constantly pressing her soft lips against his. With all the wedding planning, they took any chance they could to squeeze in time for making out. And now was the first time in days they had any alone time.

"I believe I've said it before, but I'll repeat again… I love you." Tech sighed, kissing his fiancé again.

"I love you too. More than you'll ever know. You know, once we're officially married…." Mila fluttered her lashes. "We can take things to a new level… starting our own family."

That made Tech a little nervous, but at the same time, he also wanted to kiss her deeper. So, he did. Anytime those two started making out, they just never wanted to stop, so they just kept kissing and kissing…. Until they were interrupted by someone knocking at the door.

"Tech, is Mila in there with you?" said Hunter's voice on the other side.

"Yes, she is." Tech said. "We're both decent."

So, Hunter came in.

"Mila, your cousin and Roya are looking for you. They say it's dress related." said the oldest Batcher.

"Okay. I'll be back soon, mi amor" Mila said, kissing Tech's lips once more.

"Why can I not join-" Tech began, until Mila told him…

"It's against tradition, and bad luck, for the groom to see the bride's dress before the wedding."

When Mila left, Tech was also worried. The wedding was days away, and he still hadn't picked his outfit. Most grooms would probably think it simple; just pick a tuxedo that's the right size, put on a tie, and you're done. But, not in this case.

Tech saw how passionate Mila was about every detail in this wedding, and given how they came from two different worlds, not only were they combining their traditions, but also adding their own twists to make each bit of their special day their own.

"You feeling okay, Tech?" Hunter asked.

"It's… complicated. I am feeling this odd sensation in my stomach, which I suspect is from nerves, however I am also having my own doubts." Tech sighed.

"Tech, are you having second thoughts?"

"No, of course not. I want to marry Mila more than anything. It is what happens after the wedding that worries me."

"You mean the big crowd at the reception?"

"That, but more the fact that there is a lot of pressure to ensure the wedding day goes perfectly, and that Mila is eager to start a family. Raising a child is not something any amount of data can prepare one for. That, I learned from all the times we've babysitted the children. Raising even one child of my own is a mission I may have less time to prepare for than I think, but I have even less time to select an outfit."

"Since when are you worried about clothes?"

"I am uncertain, but ever since Mila accepted my marriage proposal, I find myself caring more for things I would not make a fuss over otherwise. The outfit I wear will tell our guests, and more importantly, Mila, just how much I am devoting to this important occasion."

Tech had not experienced a lot of parties where he was the center of attention. When his friends threw him his first birthday party, the attention was shared between him, Crosshair, Hunter, and Wrecker since they all had the same birthday. This time, there were two less guests of honor, and the stars of this party were the bride and groom.

Everyone goes to weddings mainly for the bride, some say. You know, the dramatic entrance, the gorgeous dress, and credit typically goes to her for picking a great man and planning every detail for the wedding. But, for the groom, the pressure is on. Taking care of the wife, making babies with his wife and then taking care of them too, providing for the family, and being head of the household. Tech spent his whole life with his brothers. Now, he was about to have a wife, and he wanted to give her everything, starting with showing her that their wedding day meant as much to him as it did to her.

So, naturally, Tech went right on to looking for his wedding outfit.

At the tuxedo shop Tech's best men gathered all the best suits they could find, and brought them to the dressing room for Tech to try them on.

"We got nearly every kind of suit they had in here!" Wrecker said. "And these things too."

Wrecker tossed in some neck ties and bow ties he'd found too.

Tech started out simple. White shirt, black jacket and pants, and a red bowtie. A classic look. But… maybe a little too Spy Movie for Tech. And a top hat seemed a little too much too.

"That was only the first one." Echo shrugged. Then he picked up a royal purple suit. "Here, try this one."

Tech looked at the suit and thought. It was Mila's favorite color, after all. So, Tech tried it on. But, the only problem…

Tech was scratching like crazy, as it turned out this suit was made of a particularly scratchy nylon that was not good on Tech's sensitive skin. It was just giving him a rash. So, he tried on another suit that had black and white stripes.

"Why does this remind me of a movie we saw last Halloween?" Crosshair thought out loud.

"Probably because it is only appropriate for that time of year, not for a wedding." Tech answered.

So, Tech tried on a bunch of other suits of different colors and styles. But, the tangerine suit was too tight, the jungle camo suit looked a little too… wild… and the silver glitter tux made Tech look like a walking disco ball with glasses. And when he tried on a sky blue one, it did not do his complexion justice.

"This… is more challenging than I thought." Tech said.

"Well, there's still more to try on." Hunter said. "Let's just keep going."

But, Tech didn't like any of the suits they found. So, when they got home, for the first time, Tech looked frustrated.

Mila, on the other hand, was finding things she liked about the various designs Mirabel and Roya came up with, but she couldn't pick just one she liked. She really liked the strapless top on one of the dresses Roya designed, but she also liked the embroidered marigolds on one of Mirabel's. On another, she liked that it had purple ribbons, and on another, she loved how it was made with a special glitter silk. Now she was frustrated too.

But as Mila left the room to try and clear her head, she bumped right into her fiance, and they both fell down.

"Oh! Hello, Techy-Bear." Mila said flirtatiously.

"Hello, Mila. It appears you've taken falling for me literally." Tech said, making Mila laugh, prompting the girl to kiss him.

"Uh, think you might wanna take the makeout session from the floor?" Hunter said.

The couple both turned red, and they picked themselves up.

"Mila… would you be alright if I simply wore my armor to the wedding?" Tech said.

"You still haven't gotten a suit?" Mila gasped.

"I will take that as a no."

"Right back at you. Tech, the wedding is days away! As much as I love you, we can't just wear our regular clothes to an event like this one."

"Mila, you still don't have your wedding dress ready, do you?" said Echo. He'd seen the girls freak out about their clothes plenty of times before.

"It's coming along… I think." Mila said. "I don't know! Agh!"

Mila rushed off in a stress attack. Now Tech was stressed again too.

If there was one thing that was guaranteed with pretty much every wedding, it was bound to drive everyone bonkers! This was especially so for the bride and groom.

Mila sat outside in the palace backyard garden. It was particularly starry that night. And, she wasn't alone for long.

"Mind if I join you?" said a familiar voice.

Mila looked up and immediately started to smile when she saw her boyfriend, and he was carrying a little basket and a rolled up blanket.

"I don't mind at all." Mila said.

Tech sat down by his girlfriend on the blanket and set out the little basket, where inside were some little sandwiches and pieces of fruit he put together himself. He needed something to de-stress, and he decided to try something to help Mila do the same.

"I had the idea that some time alone might be good for both of us." Tech said.

Mila sat with Tech and enjoyed the little picnic he made. Sure enough, it definitely helped them de-stress some.

"I can't tell you how stressful this has been." Mila said.

"Normally, I am able to think clearly in stressful situations," said Tech. "But yes, it is stressful to plan a wedding. It is definitely not the stressful situation I am accustomed to adapting to."

"I know what you mean, and that's coming from someone who nearly blew up her own bedroom with a million science experiments."

Mila looked at Tech, and the two of them kissed under the starry night sky. The couple lay down together on the blanket and looked up at the stars. The constellations were surely different on Naboo than back in the Encanto.

"Do you remember our first outdoor date under the stars?" Mila sighed.

"I do. I have noted all the constellations we spotted."

"And all the times I've gone to other planets with you, I got to learn about so many the people of my world wouldn't see otherwise. My favorite that I've seen so far in this world…Cora the heart star."

You've probably heard of Polaris the North Star, but Cora the Heart Star was a special star that could be seen by many planets in the Galaxy, and legends said that when a couple kissed on a night they see it, it sealed for them an eternity of happiness together as their love grew and grew. And Mila spotted that very star tonight.

"One kiss seals the deal," said Mila, fluttering her lashes. "But, maybe we should play it safe?"

Tech knew exactly what Mila was getting at. So, he puckered up and once again he was making out with his love.

And they weren't alone. Lamenta had been stargazing too, and she had a little idea to share with Mirabel and Roya.

Tech and Mila slept very soundly that very night, and they were still hugging as they woke up the next morning, greeting each other with a good morning kiss.

After breakfast, though, each of them was in for a special surprise, and it wasn't their bachelor/bachelorette parties.

Tech couldn't believe it when his brothers brought out a special bag they said was from Roya and Mirabel.

And when Tech opened the bag… inside was a suit. It was no ordinary suit either. Tech tried it on. It was a lovely purple with sparkling constellations all over it like the ones Mila and Tech were looking at last night. It had a little handmade pin of a marigold flower, and it even had a red tie the same shade of red as the stripes on Tech's armor. It felt very comfortable, and it looked amazing on him. Tech actually smiled very genuinely when he saw himself in this one.

"When Lamenta told us how she overheard you two under the stars last night," said Mirabel. "And how you were struggling to find a suit you liked, we thought…"

"Why not create a suit you would associate with a happy memory you and Mila made right before the happiest memory of your entire lives?" Roya finished.

"I really appreciate the outfit, girls." Tech said. "Thank you. And what of Mila's wedding dress?"

"Oh, it's finished." Mila said. "But, you're just going to have to wait until the wedding to see it like everyone else."

Tech sighed with a little disappointment.

"Although, there is one thing you don't have to wait until the wedding for." Mila said, and she pulled Tech into yet another kiss.

"Do those two ever do anything besides kiss?" Roya said.

"They're waiting until after the wedding for that." Mirabel said.

Roya rolled her eyes.

"You know that's not what I meant."

"For what?" Lamenta said.

"You'll learn when you're older."

Tech and Mila kissed a little more. They finally had everything ready. The cake was picked out, the caterers, the wedding party, and the wedding suit and dress. Now, there was only one thing to do before the wedding: the bachelor and bachelorette parties.
