The morning sun began to creep over the horizon, casting a golden hue across the sprawling grounds of the Smash Mansion. Inside, the usually bustling kitchen was strangely quiet. Normally, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling bacon filled the air, signaling the start of another day for the Super Smash Bros Ultimate characters. But today, something was amiss.
Mario, the ever-cheerful plumber, stumbled out of his room, rubbing his eyes. His signature red hat was slightly askew, and his mustache looked a bit frazzled. He made his way to the kitchen, expecting to be greeted by the comforting smell of coffee. Instead, he found an empty pot.
"Mamma mia!" Mario exclaimed, his voice tinged with panic. "Where's-a my coffee?"
Luigi, who was already seated at the table, looked up with tired eyes. "I-a don't know, Mario. It looks like-a we ran out."
Mario slumped into a chair, his usual energetic demeanor replaced with a sluggish, almost lethargic attitude. "This is-a terrible. How am I supposed to-a save the princess without my coffee?"
As the morning progressed, it became clear that Mario wasn't the only one affected by the lack of caffeine and breakfast. The usually harmonious Smash Mansion was quickly descending into chaos.
Link walked into the kitchen, his eyes half-closed and his hair in disarray. "Hyaa... I need... something," he mumbled, barely coherent.
Zelda, looking equally disheveled, was leaning against the counter, staring at an empty cereal box. "It's all gone, Link. There's nothing left."
Samus, still in her Zero Suit, groaned as she rifled through the pantry. "Who finished all the coffee? This is a nightmare."
On the training grounds, the usual morning sparring sessions were less about training and more about surviving without breakfast.
"Falcon Punch!" Captain Falcon's voice lacked its usual enthusiasm as he weakly threw a punch at Pikachu, who dodged it effortlessly.
"Pika... Pi?" Pikachu looked confused. Even the energetic little Pokémon felt the absence of food.
In the living room, characters who were usually up and about were now sprawled out on couches and chairs, unable to muster the energy to do anything productive.
"Fox, you okay?" Falco asked, plopping down next to him.
Fox grunted in response, barely lifting his head. "No coffee... no mission. I'm done."
Kirby, who was normally a bundle of energy, sat quietly in a corner, looking at his empty plate with a sad expression.
Back in the kitchen, Mario was still lamenting the lack of coffee. "I-a can't go on like this, Luigi. We-a need to find a solution."
Luigi nodded, though he looked just as defeated. "Maybe we-a can go to town and get some more supplies?"
Mario perked up slightly at the idea. "That's-a great idea, Luigi! But first, we need to wake up the others."
Mario and Luigi made their way through the mansion, rousing their friends from their coffee-less stupor. It wasn't an easy task, but eventually, they managed to gather everyone in the living room.
"Listen up, everyone!" Mario called out, trying to sound more energetic than he felt. "We-a need to go to town and get more coffee and breakfast supplies. Who's with me?"
There was a collective groan, but one by one, the characters stood up, determined to restore their morning routine.
The journey to town was a slow one. Without their usual morning boost, the characters moved at a snail's pace. Mario led the way, trying to keep everyone's spirits up.
"Just think about-a the coffee," he said encouragingly. "We'll-a be back to normal in no time."
Peach nodded, though she looked ready to collapse. "I just want my tea," she muttered.
Bowser, surprisingly cooperative, grumbled as he walked alongside the group. "This is the worst. But fine, I'll help. Just this once."
After what felt like an eternity, the group finally reached the town's café. Mario pushed open the door, and the smell of freshly brewed coffee immediately lifted everyone's spirits.
"Ah, finally!" Mario exclaimed, rushing to the counter. "We'll take-a all the coffee you have!"
The barista, slightly taken aback, nodded and began preparing the largest order of coffee she had ever seen. Within minutes, the characters had their cups of steaming coffee and breakfast plates in hand.
As they sipped their drinks and enjoyed their meals, the energy and enthusiasm returned. The camaraderie was restored, and the Smash Mansion would soon be back to its usual, lively self.
Back at the mansion, Mario and his friends felt rejuvenated and ready to face the day. With their morning routine back on track, they were reminded of the importance of breakfast and coffee in their daily lives.
"Mamma mia, that was close," Mario said, taking a final sip of his coffee. "Let's-a make sure we never run out again."
