After the chaos of Mario and Donkey Kong's mornings without coffee and breakfast, the Smash Mansion was starting to settle back into its routine. But in a quiet corner of the mansion, in a room filled with ancient artifacts and mystical items, another character was about to face his own morning crisis.
Link, the Hero of the Wild, woke up feeling unusually groggy. He sat up in his bed, blinking at the morning light filtering through the curtains. His first thought was to start his day with a hearty meal and a cup of strong tea, just like he would back in Hyrule. But as he opened his food stash, he found it empty.
"No... food?" Link muttered to himself, his usual sharp senses dulled by hunger.
He made his way to the kitchen, hoping to find something to eat. The kitchen, however, was eerily silent and devoid of the usual breakfast items.
Link opened cupboards and checked the pantry, but there was nothing but crumbs and empty boxes. He sighed, rubbing his eyes. Without his morning meal, he felt weak and unfocused—hardly the state a hero should be in.
"Maybe there's something in the garden," Link thought, making his way outside.
In the garden, Link found Isabelle tending to the plants. She looked up and smiled when she saw him, but her smile faded when she saw his disheveled state.
"Good morning, Link! You look a bit off today. Are you okay?" Isabelle asked, concern in her voice.
Link nodded weakly. "I'm just... hungry. There's no food in the kitchen."
Isabelle frowned. "That's odd. There should be plenty of food. Maybe someone forgot to restock."
Link sighed. "I can't start my day without breakfast. It's throwing me off."
Determined to help, Isabelle suggested they check the storeroom where extra supplies were kept. Link, grateful for the help, followed her.
As they walked through the mansion, Link's steps were slow and unsteady. Normally, he moved with the grace and speed of a seasoned warrior, but today, he felt like he was trudging through mud.
When they reached the storeroom, they found Kirby rummaging through boxes. He looked up and waved at them, a concerned expression on his face.
"Hey, Kirby," Link greeted him. "Are you looking for breakfast too?"
Kirby nodded vigorously, his cheeks puffed out. "Poyo! No food anywhere!"
Isabelle started searching through the boxes, and after a few minutes, she found a stash of fruits, bread, and other breakfast items. "Here we go! This should help."
Link and Kirby's eyes lit up. "Thank you, Isabelle," Link said, taking an apple and a loaf of bread.
Back in the kitchen, Link quickly prepared a simple but hearty breakfast. He shared some with Kirby, who happily devoured everything in sight.
As Link ate, he felt his strength returning. The grogginess and sluggishness that had plagued him all morning began to fade away, replaced by his usual vigor and alertness.
"Much better," Link said, finishing his meal. "Now I can finally focus."
With his breakfast crisis averted, Link felt ready to take on the day. He grabbed his sword and shield, eager to start training and prepare for any battles ahead.
"Thanks again, Isabelle," Link said, giving her a grateful smile.
"Anytime, Link," Isabelle replied, her tail wagging happily. "Just make sure to let us know if you need anything."
