November 30th, 2019 - 05:30:10, F.O.B. Fenty, Jalalabad Airport, Afghanistan, Captain Price, Major MacMillan, Kyle, Soap, Alex, Farah, 1stLt. Vasquez and SSgt. Jackson get to Laswell as soon as they touch down for a debrief. While the others unload The Wolf's dead corpse for the C.I.A.
Laswell: Congratulations on a job well done. As much as we can all hear the ice in the glass, I'm afraid our toast has to wait. Hadir and his new Al-Qaeda/Taliban friends are on the move.
Farah: Where are they?
Laswell: One step at a time.
Alex: No one said they're friends.
Col. Norris: The General would tend to disagree.
Laswell: Norris, I asked you to let me—
Col. Norris: Do it, Laswell. Or I will.
Laswell: *sighs* Command has officially re-designated the Afghan Military.
Kyle: You wanna translate that from bullshit to English?
Captain Price: It means they're on the list.
Farah: What list?
Col. Norris: Foreign terror organization list. I've ordered my Marines to treat Farah's army as hostiles.
SSgt. Jackson: Hadir?
Col. Norris: Hadir.
Alex: What?! They're our allies.
Col. Norris: Not anymore.
Captain Price: You keep your muppets on a short string, Colonel.
Col. Norris: Or what?
Captain Price: Or I'll FUCKING hang you from it.
1stLt. Vasquez: Hey, hey, hey! Ease up, BOTH of you.
Major MacMillan: This pissing match isn't gonna change anything. Stand down.
Alex: Kate, these people need our support.
Laswell: There's nothing else we can do.
Soap: *points at Laswell* There's plenty we can do.
SSgt. Jackson: Be my guest.
Alex: I'm tired of being told who my friends are.
Farah: Alex, don't.
Alex: I'm going back to Kabul. I'm staying with the Afghan National Army.
Laswell: What you're doing is illegal.
Alex: I'm pretty sure everything we do is illegal.
Kyle: Only the good stuff.
Soap: You got friends nearby.
[Alex, Kyle and Soap shake hands]
Alex: You too.
1stLt. Vasquez: *sighs* This is bullshit on so many levels for all of us. So if you're gonna commit desertion for Farah and Afghanistan, you better do it now. My team and I'll hold the guards off.
Alex: Thank you, Lieutenant. This means a lot to me.
[Alex and 1stLt. Vasquez shake hands]
Farah: Thank you. For everything.
Captain Price: Oh, it's not over yet. Trust me.
Farah: I always have.
SSgt. Jackson: I get you don't personally like Laswell and Alex. Hell, I don't like 'em either. But what's really going on, sir? This can't just be a simple re-designation.
Col. Norris: *sighs* I dunno yet. I can't say for sure.
Major MacMillan: We don't need facts. What's your gut telling you?
Col. Norris: Marshal Karim's Afghan Military has been fighting the Russians, Al-Qaeda and the Taliban for ten years. The C.I.A. could've started helping them at any time back then. Why only now? Al-Qaeda and the Taliban have been stealing all kinds of weapons from the Russian Armed Forces, and the Piccadilly Circus Attack isn't their only plot throughout the decade.
SSgt. Jackson: Now that you've mentioned it, the timing does seem kinda suspicious.
Major MacMillan: If I've learned anything from my years of working with MI6, it's that those three letter agencies love to watch our every move and keep everything they have and acquire to themselves only.
Col. Norris: Okay, I'll keep digging. But we need to keep this between the three of us.
SSgt. Jackson: Not a problem, sir.
Major MacMillan: Agreed.
Col. Norris: Keep your eyes and ears open, guys. Especially around Laswell, Alex and Farah.
[SSgt. Jackson, Major MacMillan and Col. Norris look at Farah]
As he watches Echo 3-1 and Kilo 1 peacefully leave F.O.B. Fenty, Bravo 6 reminisces about the first time he met Farah and started helping her and the Armed Forces of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
--
Captive
1st April, 2009 - 06:50:10
3 Lt. Farah Karim
Afghan Army
Registan Desert, Afghanistan
--
At the time, the Afghan Army was not well-trained yet. Which led to the capture and/or deaths of numerous young and old local soldiers throughout the Second Soviet-Afghan War.
Third Lieutenant Farah Karim, who only had one year of military service under her belt, Private First Class Hadir Karim, Private Azadeh Chitrali, Private Ayah Barech, Private Darine Ananzi, Private Ghalia Afridi, and Private Nadia Gaba were among the former. Held captive in the Russian Armed Forces' only penal colony in Afghanistan.
The fireteam's plan to escape was set in motion when Farah was woken up by Hadir after spending three days in solitary confinement without food or water. It turned out that during his transfer, Kilo 2 stole a key.
And that led to President Imran Zakhaev and Prime Minister Viktor Zakhaev themselves torturing both him and Kilo 1 for that key and some intel. The former shows the latter how to break a female soldier/"terrorist" by raping her in the cell, waterboarding her in the Torture Room, and threatening to kill Azadeh in front of her.
Imran Zakhaev: (Dari) There will be no escape, Farah. No one is coming to rescue you. I am in control here, and I can make your life much, much easier. Now, tell me about "Lieutenant Karim" and the failed message.
[Farah spits at Imran Zakhaev's face]
Imran Zakhaev: *chuckles* (Dari) Playing it rough, eh, Farah? Exactly what I had in mind. I've been patient with you, but no more.
[Viktor Zakhaev waterboards Farah]
[Farah stays awake]
Imran Zakhaev: (Dari) So strong, Farah. Keep it up and you will see Hadir. One more time. Who is Karim?
[Farah spits at Imran Zakhaev's face]
Imran Zakhaev: *smiles* (Dari) So you do like to play rough. So do I. (Russian) Viktor, bring her.
Viktor Zakhaev: *nods* (Russian) Gladly. This one is my favorite. *grabs Azadeh* (Dari) I found one of you "sisters".
Azadeh: *yelps* (Dari) I said nothing, Farah.
Farah: (Dari) It's okay, Azadeh.
Imran Zakhaev: *equips Desert Eagle* (Dari) Quiet. Her life is in your hands now, Farah. Stay awake, she lives. Pass out, she dies. *nods at Viktor Zakhaev*
[Viktor Zakhaev waterboards Farah]
[Farah stays awake]
Imran Zakhaev: (Dari) Congratulations, Farah. You saved a life. Now, in order to keep it, you have to tell me the truth.
Farah: (Dari) I did what you asked!
Imran Zakhaev: (Dari) I have changed our little agreement. Do you want me to change it any further? Now, the truth.
Farah: (Dari) *sighs* The messages are from me. I am Karim. I am responsible.
Imran Zakhaev: (Dari) Of course you are.
Azadeh: (Dari) Farah, no.
Imran Zakhaev: (Dari) We knew all along. (Russian) Take her back to her cell.
[Azadeh screams]
Imran Zakhaev: (Russian) Don't forget to tell the others that their fearless leader has broken.
[Viktor Zakhaev drags Azadeh away]
[Desert Eagle melee hit]
When Farah came to, she was met by the Prime Minister, who tried to offer her food. Of course, it was another one of the tricks that gave her false hope just to make her suffer more.
The actual reason why Prime Minister Viktor Zakhaev was in Kilo 1's cell was to question her about the key Hadir stole a few hours ago. And she protected him like she protected her female Afghan Army teammate back in the Torture Room.
Viktor Zakhaev: Now, where is the key your brother stole from me.
[Farah spits at Viktor Zakhaev's face]
Viktor Zakhaev: *chuckles* (Dari) It's okay. I like it, Farah. *backhands Farah* *roars* *wears black leather gloves* This country is a breeding ground for terrorists. We Russians are here to bring law and order to this land! And no terrorist thief will harm our country! *strips, strangles and rapes Farah* I WILL PROTECT RUSSIA!
[Farah whimpers]
[Viktor Zakhaev moans]
[explosions]
[Farah gasps for air]
Viktor Zakhaev: *grabs radio* (Russian) Yuri, what is happening?!
Yuri: (Russian) We are under attack! Your father was caught in the blast of a hidden bomb! He WILL live, but his left arm is gone!
Viktor Zakhaev: (Russian) Give him most of the base's medical personnel and equipment and put him on a plane back to Russia immediately!
Yuri: (Russian) Yes, Prime Minister!
Viktor Zakhaev: (Russian) The rest of you prepare to move all prisoners to the Warehouse and burn it to the ground! (Dari) You did not save your people, Lieutenant Karim. You killed them!
[Viktor Zakhaev leaves the cell and coordinates with his men]
Farah: (Dari) We have to leave, or we are all going to die.
Since she understood Russian already, Farah freed herself from her restraints and cell. All because the Prime Minister did a terrible job of keeping her secure and left a spoon for her to break and use as a shiv.
Once outside, she killed a guard, took his GSh-18, crawled her way to a path leading to the exit, found all of the female members of her squad, used the key she hid from everyone to open a locker full of AK-74Ms, and led her teammates out of the Penal Colony's main prison building. Farah, Azadeh, Ayah, Darine, Ghalia and Nadia proceeded to evade, shoot, explode and murder their way to the Warehouse in search of the male portion of their Afghan Army strike force.
They reached the front door but were almost immediately surrounded and overpowered by the place's Russian Ground Forces guards. The entire squad was about to be executed on the spot.
However, a three-man British S.A.S. team saved them just in time from a skylight. This unit consisted of a young Captain Mac 'Baseplate' MacMillan, a more youthful Lieutenant/Leftenant John Price, who was under Captain MacMillan's mentorship, and an even more youngish Second Lieutenant/Leftenant Mac 'Gaz' Newcastle, who was relatively new to the special operations world.
British S.A.S. Operator: Who's "Third Leftenant Karim"?
Farah: I'm Karim.
British S.A.S. Operator: We got your messages. *takes off CM-7M Military Gas Mask* Leftenant John Price. Where are the others? *helps Farah up*
Farah: In there, straight ahead.
Leftenant Price: Stay close. *puts on CM-7M Military Gas Mask*
Captain MacMillan: Up and at 'em, mates! Let's go! Got two.
[C7A2 fire]
[C8 SFW fire]
[G36KV fire]
Captain MacMillan: Clear, push up.
Farah: Hadir? HADIR!
Gaz: This is a mini-gas factory. The Zakhaevs are burning the evidence.
Farah: Uh— And the prisoners!
Gaz: We're gonna breach. Stay back!
[C6 Breaching Charge detonation]
[G36KV fire]
Gaz: Hallway, clear.
Ayah: (Dari) Fahd, no!
Captain MacMillan: Okay, let's get them out of here.
Ghalia: Kierran! Hadir!
Leftenant Price: I'll open the sprinklers. Get that door open, Karim.
Azadeh: (Dari) Mardik, can you hear me?! MARDIK!
Hadir: Sister? Si-SISTER! Sister, help! Help!
[Leftenant Price and Gaz try and fail to turn on the sprinklers]
Darine: Amro!
Nadia: Help them!
Farah: *tries to open door* Hadir! HADIR! I can't! It's locked!
Leftenant Price: Hooley!
Hadir: FARAH! Th-The door, Farah! Hurry! Hurry! HURRY! FARAH!
[Farah and Leftenant Price pry the door open]
Hadir: *gasps* Sister.
Farah: Hadir. It's okay.
Hadir: They came.
Farah: Yes.
Hadir: We did it. You did it.
Farah: Catch your breath. Collect survivors and supplies. We're leaving.
The joint S.A.S./Afghan Army squad then stopped at nothing to save Hadir, Private Fahd Barech (Ayah's husband), Private Kierran Afridi (Ghalia's brother), Private Mardik Chitrali (Azadeh's spouse) and Private Amro Ananzi (Darine's cousin). 09:00:11, F.O.B. Fenty, Jalalabad Airport, Afghanistan, after the jailbreak, the British Army got Farah and her men and women healthy and on the road to an extraction point set up by the Afghan National Army Commando Corps.
Leftenant Price: (off comms) Go north. Avoid the highway. (on comms) Alpha 7 to Big Bird, confirming station time.
Big Bird: Ten minutes, Alpha 7, over.
Leftenant Price: (on comms) Rog'. Hold orbit. (off comms) Hurry now. Even when hit hard, Prime Minister Zakhaev's gonna come and claim his dead.
Farah: (Dari) Go. Wait for us.
Mardik: (Dari) Yes, ma'am.
Leftenant Price: You know he's gonna make you pay for this.
Hadir: We will make them all pay.
Leftenant Price: My men have cleared the road to the north. ANA Special Operations Command is already waiting there to pick you up. It's safe. *gives Hadir a compass*
Farah: Thank you.
Hadir: Thank you. The revolution begins now, sister.
Farah: The war begins now, brother.
Leftenant Price: (off comms) Even war has a high ground. Stay on it. (on comms) Alpha 7, wheels up in two.
Kilo 1 and Kilo 2's entire team then got back home safe, bringing even more motivation to be better soldiers for Afghanistan with them. And the rest is history.
