Many years had passed since Trunks's arrival in the past, and Adam and his wife Eve had had children named Cain and Abel in that time, who were now grown to adulthood. Trunks still missed his time and every day lamented that he would have to wait countless millennia to complete the mission he had arrived for, but he trusted in God's plan.

One day, Cain and Abel offered sacrifices to God. Cain's offering was the produce he had grown that year, while Abel's offer was the firstborn of his sheep. God accepted Abel and his sacrifice, but did not accept Cain and his. Cain was angered at hearing this, and slapped his offering off of the pedestal he had placed on it. As he walked towards the forest, God spoke to him.

"Why are you angry and downcast? If you do what is good, will you not be accepted and hold your head high? If you do not do what is good, sin is crouching at the door, and desires to overtake you. You must rule over it."

Unfortunately, God's warning fell on deaf ears, as Cain approached his brother Abel from behind in his field. Luckily, Trunks was in the area and noticed Cain prepare to strike Abel in the back of the head. Trunks sped to Cain and grabbed his right hand, yelling at him,

"Hey, stop!"

Cain attempted to wriggle out of Trunks's grip, and hearing the commotion, Abel turned around and saw Trunks holding his brother by the wrist. The confused Abel asked,

"What's going on?"

Trunks replied,

"Cain was planning to kill you and then lie to God about doing so."

Abel was shocked, and Trunks scolded Cain, telling him,

"You two are brothers, and brothers are supposed to love each other! I knew a man who was once evil beyond comparison, but through his love for his family, he ended up dying a good man. You can do the same Cain! This isn't what God wants!"

Trunks's words got through to Cain, who fell to his knees and said,

"Oh brother, how can you ever forgive me?"

Abel knelt down and told his brother,

"Like Trunks said, brothers are meant to love each other. And by recognizing your wrongs and regretting them, you have redeemed yourself in the eyes of the Lord."

Cain embraced Abel, and Trunks smiled at the sight. Because of Trunks's intervention, Cain never gained the Mark of Cain, and his descendents were never cursed. As a result, his descendents would never slowly taint the world with sin, and although sin still existed, it was small enough for God to never flood the world.

Trunks watched humanity's progress from the sidelines, occasionally coming to the aid of the many heroes of the Bible. From aiding Moses and the Isrealites in reaching the promised land to helping King David defeat Goliath's brother Ishbi-Benob, Trunks's presence allowed these heroes to complete their journeys much easier than in the original history.

The future warrior also kept up with his training, growing astronomically stronger to the point where by the time of Jesus's birth, Trunks's power had grown so great that his base surpassed his former Super Saiyan transformation 10-fold. However, he had never bothered to find out how to ascend it, and he didn't need to. He hadn't even used Super Saiyan since he arrived in the past.

When Jesus was born, Trunks accompanied the 3 wise men in journeying to his birthplace, and when Jesus came of age, Trunks joined him and the disciples. Until eventually, the last supper came…

The last supper had just ended, and certain words of Jesus were echoing through Trunks's head.

'Truly, Truly, I say to you, that one of you will betray Me.'

RIght now, Trunks was following the man who he knew would be the one to do it: Judas Escariot. Judas was walking away, most certainly to rat Jesus out to the authorities. Trunks refused to let that happen. He couldn't. He unsheathed his sword and charged at Judas, yelling,

"DIE, TRAITOR!"

However, before Trunks could reach Judas, he heard a familiar voice yell,

"Put your sword back in its place!"

Trunks stopped in his tracks and turned around to see Jesus, holding his hand out. Trunks yelled at him,

"Lord, please let me stop him! I don't want you to die!"

Jesus replied,

"He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword. This is meant to happen, Trunks. Please allow it too."

Trunks stammered, saying,

"But you…I…"

Jesus nodded at him, and eventually, Trunks flew off. He could listen to His words, but he couldn't bear to watch Him be executed. So he traveled deep into the woods and waited for 3 days to pass. Once the wait was over, he traveled to Jesus's burial place and blasted down the stone guarding it with a ki blast.

Once he entered, he saw a man staring at him in shock. Joseph of Artheminia. At the same time, Jesus rose from behind him, leaving the man in even more shock, praising God for this miracle. Jesus then said to him,

"Thank you for taking care of Me."

Trunks asked the Son of Man,

"What will you do now, Lord?"

Jesus stayed silent for a moment and then pointed at an opening in His tomb, telling Trunks and Joseph,

"I will go east."

With tears in his eyes, Joseph of Arimathea asked Jesus,

"Will I ever see you again?"

In response to this question, Jesus drew a map in the sand at His feet, showing 9 locations on an unknown landmass to Joseph, but Trunks quickly realized that this was the United States. Jesus then cryptically said,

"Everything is circular…if it rotates."

The Son of Man then vanished into the light, Trunks following after him. In time, Joseph of Aramathreia would create a map based on what Jesus showed him, and Jesus and Trunks would travel east until they reached the shoreline. Along the way, the 2 lived with and learned the language of each culture they passed by. Trunks would commonly asked Jesus what His words to Joseph of Arimathea meant, but He would always respond,

"All will become clear in time, my friend."

Eventually, the 2 reached the far east and began to build a ship. The locals offered to help, but with Trunks around, it was unnecessary. Jesus sailed on the ship while Trunks flew, and eventually they reached North America. They would live with the natives for many years, until in 95 AD, Jesus's mortal body finally died. Afterwards, at Jesus's request, Trunks tore his body into multiple pieces and hid them all over the world.

After Trunks finished burying the last of Jesus's remains, he looked up into the sky, thinking to himself,

'I've already seen so many people die, and there's still so much time left before my father is even born. What should I do now? God, please give me a sign!"

At that moment, a bright star twinkled in the sky. As Trunks looked at it in awe, he realized what God was trying to tell him.

"I can use my power to aid other civilizations…to help them the way Jesus would. But also like my father would. Thank you Lord."

Trunks then shot off into the air. Luckily since God had made him biologically immortal, he didn't need to breathe in space. And so, in only a few moments, Trunks exited the Earth's atmosphere and arrived in its orbit. He took a moment to admire the planet's beauty.

'Lord God…I never truly appreciated your work until now. I promise that I will be back one day. And when I do come back, I'll save the world.'

Trunks then flew off, not to be seen on Earth for the next several millennia. He would only be remembered as the legendary 13th apostle, who roamed the Earth and aided others in following God's will. But his legend was only just beginning.
