Hey Arnold – Back at home (Chapter 15)

Arnold, Helga, Phoebe and Harold were enjoying the evening.
Suddenly they were joined by Patty and Harold.
Patty boxed Harold into his ribcage and he said: „Uhm...Helga? I wanted to...uhm...apologize for mocking and insulting you all the time! I...uhm...i am an idiot!"
Helga looked wideeyed at him and answered: „Yes, that's right!"
„HEY!", Harold shouted, but was again boxed in the ribcage by Patty.
„Okay, sorry, i accept you apology, if you swear to never do that again, okay!?", Helga said and reached her hand to him.
Now Harold was looking with wide eyes. But he took her hand, shaked it carefully and said: „Oh...uhm...Patty was right, you really are okay, Helga!"
„Thanks, Harold!", Helga said and smiled lightly.
„See? I knew you can do it!", Patty said and kissed Harold on the cheek.
Helga and Patty looked at each other and laughed heartly.
„I see you!", Patty said and pulled Harold on the dancefloor.
Helga saw them dance and smiled.
„Patty really is a good person!", she said to Arnold.
„Yes. I knew since she spared you from getting pummeled. And i am so happy about it!", Arnold said to Helga.
„Would it have to been a bad thing for you back them, if she really had pummeled me?", Helga asked.
„Yes, your wellbeing was important for me even back then!", Arnold answerd.
„Ohhh Arnoold!", Helga swooned and kissed him.
Arnolds eyes were getting wide. He laid his hands onto Helga's cheeks and kissed back. They hugged each other and were almost inseparable.
Rhonda was watching this scene and was about to take a picture and send it too all other people but she decided against it and only smiled at them.
„Why should i plague them?", she thought to herself, „They are so happy with each other!"
Suddenly Curly was beside her and asked: „Should i kiss YOU like that?"
„WHAAAT?", she shouted, „N...NO! GO AWAY!"
„The day will come, where you are bidding me to be so tender to you!" he said to her.
„NEVER!", she shouted, „NOW GET LOST!"
„Like my princess demands!", he said and strolled away.
Now Helga and Arnold were rid out of their kiss as they heard:

„Happy new Year, Arnold!", Helga said
„Happy new Year, Helga!", Arnold said.
„Happy new Year, you two!" ,Pheobe and Gerald said in unison.
„Happy new Year, you two, too!", Arnold and Helga said, also in unison.
„Have someone told you, that you are a sweet couple?!", Phoebe asked.
Arnold and Helga turned red.
„No, not really, but thanks Pheebs!", Helga answered.
„But you two are made for each other, too!", Arnold said.
„Thanky man, i approve that!", Gerald said and looked lovingly to Phoebe and kissed her on the cheek, which made her giggle.
„Year, we are two powercouples!" Helga said with a little smile on her face.
„You're absolutly right, Helga!", Gerald added.
All four kids were laughing heartly.
Harold and Patty spotted this scene and heard the conversation and Patty mentioned to Harold: „See? Without all the fighting you had with her over the years, we maybe would now be stainding beside them and laughing with them. If you really try to get more mature, maybe we can do it next New Years Eve."
„Uhm...yes Patty. If it makes you happy, i will try hard!", Harold answered.
„You really like me, do you!?", she asked.
„Yes, very much!", he answered.
Patty smiled and kissed him on his mouth for the first time.
„WOW!", he thought to himself, „That's not that yukky than i thought it would be. It's feeling good!"
Patty giggled seeling his big eyes and said: „I make a young gentleman out of you, i promise!"
„O...okay, whatever you say, Patty!", he said.
The Party was running untill 3 AM und the guests were leaving.
„Thanks for this great party!", Patty said.
„Yes, it was very nice!", Ronda added.
„I'm glad you liked it!", Arnold said.
„We are seeling us at school!", Helga said.
Rhonda was going towards Helga, which makes her wonder.
„Uhm, Helga?", Rhonda asked.
„Yes, Rhonda?", Helga asked back.
„Uhm...i spotted your kiss before midnight and…", Rhonda said, but was interrupted by Helga.
„You don't have…", Helga said it a slidly upset tone.
„No, no,...i have not took a picture or something!", Rhonda said.
Helga was relived and calmed down.
„No, i just wanted to tell you, that i'm happy you and Arnold are so happy together! You really fit!", Rhonda said.
„Uhm...thanks, Rhonda! Sorry for acting up, i just cannot stand gossip!", Helga said.
„Yeah, that's the reason i was holding back.", Rhonda said, „Listen Helga, i think you...you really are okay! Since you and Arnold are an item, you are much nicer and somehow i like you now!"
„Thank's Rhonda, i appreciate that, really! You are okay, too!", Helga answered and smiled.
Rhonda smiled back and said: „Thanks, Helga! I wish we could have become friends much sooner!"
Helga sighed and answered: „Yes, was too stubborn the last 8 years to realize that friends are important in life. But you all have not made it easy for me. That started already at preschool. But i do not want to let out all that psych-stuff right now."
„Maybe some day we can discuss all this stuff, if you like!?", Rhonda asked.
„You know what? That sounds good to me!", Helga answered.
„Fine! Im'm looking forward to it! And no fear, i keep it a secret!", Rhonda said.
„Good! Now be careful driving home!", Helga said.
„Good night!", Rhonda said.
Arnold and Helga helped his parents and grandparents cleaning up the room and after that they were sleeping with a big grin on their faces. In their own beds, of course!
