Hey Arnold – Back at home (Chapter 17)

It has been a wonderfull easter sunday.
The sun was shining and no cloud was seen on the sky.
Stella and Miles thought it would be a great day to visit the zoo.
„Look, the flamingos!", Helga called and ran to the compound, Arnold after her.
„Yes, they are as beautiful as you! They are pink and have long legs!", Arnold said.
Helga's Face turned red and she said: „Uhm...phew...thanks, Arnold!"
„You're welcome, Helga!", Arnold smiled and her right hand. „I like to announce the truth!"
„Hold your horses, Romeo!", Helga said shy.
Arnold smiled and they continued their walk.
Stella and Miles overheared it and smiled.
„So sweet, both of them!", Stella swooned.
„You're absolutly right, darling!", Miles answered.
Arnold and Helga reached the gorilla compound.
„Do you know, that Gorillas are much like us humans?!", Helga asked Arnold.
„Yes, we had that in biology at school.", Arnold answered.
„Oh...criminy...i thought i could tell you something you don't know!", Helga sighed.
„It's okay, Helga. I know, you are smarter than me!", Arnold said and looked into her eyes.
„Uhm...well...no, not really!", Helga said in a faint voice.
„You are the smartest girl i know!", Arnold said sincerely.
„Oh Arnold…", she swooned, „...and you are the nicest, loveliest and most cuddlesome boy i know!"
This time Arnold was turning red and they hugged each other.
They remained the hugging for 90 seconds and turned back the gorilla compound, hand in hand.
„I am glad they extended the zoo.", Helga mentioned, „Before their was not much place for all gorillas."
„Yes, i felt sorry for them back then!", Arnold added.
They did not mention, that a person in a hoody was approaching them from behind.
Stella and Miles also could not see him, because they were standing at the ice cream stand.
„WHAT? WHAT WAS THAT?", Helga screamed and was suddenly hanging half in the compound and half at Arnold's hand."
The hoody-guy had tossed her over the fencing.
„HELGA! OMG! KEEP HOLDING!", Arnold shouted to her.
Stella and Miles heard his shouting and hurried to them.
„Chase the hoody-guy!", Arnold said to Miles., who did it instantly.
Stella tried to help Arnold rescuing Helga.
„I'm so glad i always have a rope with me!", Stella said.
„Really?", Arnold asked.
„Sure!", Stella answered, „Years in the jungle a leading to habbits!"
„Fast! I cannot hold you any longer, Helga!", Arnold said.
Helga was about to grab the rope, when she noticed something pulling her foot.
„A gorilla wants to pull me down! HEEELP!", she cried.
Miles returned with the hoody-guy and two policeman.
He was holding a tranquilizer gun and shot at the gorilla.
„Don't tell me, you always have that with you!", Arnold said.
„No, of course not!", Miles answered, „I borrowed it from the zoo administration."
Arnold and Stella were pulling Helga back up.
Helga panted and trembled all over her body, when Stella and Arnold were hugging her.
„Th...thank you, Stella and Arnold,...i...i think i was never as scared as just a moment ago.", Helga said with a shaky voice.
„I would do EVERYTHING for you, Helga!", Arnold said.
„Oh Arnold...i love you yo much!", Helga swooned and kissed him right on his mouth.
„I love you, too!", he answered tenderly, as the lipps seperated again.
Then he turned to his father and asked: „And they gave the gun to you without pushing you back?!"
„Yes!", Miles answered, „They know me from the news and know what i am capable of. They even offered me a job here at the zoo!"
„Hey, that's wonderful, darling!", Stella cheered and hugged her husband.
„Yes dad, that's great!", Arnold added.
„Yes, congratulations!", Helga said.
„Are you feeling better?", Miles asked Helga.
„Yes...thanks for the help!", Helga answered.
„You are part of the family!", he sad.
Helga smiled.
„SO...and WHO is this hoody-jerk now?", Miles asked.
Of course it was Wolfgang's brother.
The policeman arrested him.
„So...do want to go home or maybe some ice cream?", Stella asked Helga and Arnold.
„Uhm...as long as i can sit eating it, i would like some ice cream!", Helga answered, „I still feel a little shaky!"
„Okay!", Stella said, „Some ice cream and maybe after that some more animal watching."
And so they walked to the ice cream parlor at the zoo and Helga could relax with cocoa and ice cream.
