Digimon Tamers AU Chapter 1: The Adventure Begins.
*This is Shinjuku, Japan, my home town. It's usually quite peaceful around here. There are usually some good TV series to watch, but this particular grew quite popular. Its called "Digimon." There was only 2 seasons of the show so far, but what really made it explode was the card game. I only started playing it a few months ago, but then something strange happened. One of my cards turned blue. I was unsure of what it was until I scanned it in my card reader. It started to glow and change shape into a device unknown to me. It made me more curious, so swiped my favorite Digimon card, Dracomon, through it. The device started to react and to a big surprise, the impossible happened. A beam shot out toward my backyard. I followed it and saw Dracomon standing there excited to see me. After this event, this made believe that Digimon was more than just a show or game. My name is Rick Atlas and this is an adventure of a life time.*
*Shinjuku, Japan*
Rick was traveling home on his scooter with a bag filled with bread. "Hopefully this amount food should keep Dracomon full. Nah, he's basically a bottomless pit. Oh well it'll have to suffice." Rick enters his house and his mother greets him. "Hey Rick, how was school?" Rick looks to his mother and replies, "It was good, but time went so slow." As Rick was talking to his mom, he the eyes of his partner, Dracomon peeking through the crack of his door. Rick was gesturing to close the door. "Is everything okay sweetie?" Ms Atlas asked. "Yep, everything is all good. Just have uh, a lot of homework to do. So, I'll get to that now." Rick zips past his mother into his room quickly. "My son, always on the move." Mrs. Atlas shakes her. "He does take after you a little bit honey." Mr. Atlas responds which makes Mrs. Atlas smile a little. "I suppose so."
*In Rick's Room*
"Dracomon, what did I say about laying low until I got back into the room?" Dracomon looks at Rick. "Sorry Rick, I was getting antsy just standing here like a toy. Also, I'm lucky that your little sibling hasn't found me yet." Rick chuckles nervously, "Yea, that's true.. I know she can be a bit rough, but maybe she finally found a friend to play with. Anyway I bought some bread from a bakery as I was coming home." Rick dumps out the bread for Dracomon to eat. Dracomon takes a bite of the bread and he was in heaven. "Wow this is the best bread I ever had!" Dracomon says as he continues to eat. Rick smiles and replies, "Not wrong there partner."
As the duo was eating, Dracomon pauses and looks out the window. Rick looks at Dracomon. "What's up Dracomon?" Rick asks his partner. "A digimon is approaching and its fast." Rick was surprised. "What? Right now?!" Dracomon replies, "Yes, right now. Lets get moving!" Dracomon opens the window and jumps out of it. "Dracomon, wait up!" Rick shouts and follows his partner Digimon to where he senses the Digimon. Rick puts on his Black sunglasses to see through the Digital Field. When they arrive, the duo spot the Digimon. "Lets who we have here." Rick takes out his D-Ark and analyzes the Digimon. "Mothmon, an armor insect Digimon, Its special attacks are Morphon Gattling and Poison Dust. Be careful Dracomon, this one will a be handful." Dracomon nods in response. "You worry too much Rick, we got this." Dracomon charges in to fight Mothmon.
"Try this on for size, Baby Breath!" Dracomon breaths a fire breath attack toward Mothmon, but he easily dodges it and retaliates. "Morphon Gattling!" Mothmon fires his attack from his gun stinger. Dracomon was dodging the attack though it made him tap dance dodge. "Rick a little help" Rick takes out his cards. "Lets see what can suppress that attack. I know which one. Digimodify! Cherrymon's Cherry Blast activate!" The data from the card is loaded into Dracomon. "Lets stick in your pipes! Cherry Blast!" Dracomon fires the attack into Mothmon's Tail gun blocking the gun holes. This surprised Mothmon. "What the? Its stuck!" Dracomon responds, "That's right. No more weapon for you." Mothmon smirks, "Maybe you forgot, but I have other attacks too. Poison Dust!" Mothmon releases a poison gust from its wings in to paralyze Dracomon. "What the? I cant move.." Dracomon was struggling to move while the Mothmon was laughing. "Where's the tough guy now? Now to end this." Mothmon was unblock his tail gun and was ready to open fire on Dracomon. "Dracomon! I need to help him fast but what can help?" Rick was looking through his cards until he spotted one that was useful. "Ice statue? Wait I remember what it does! Gotta act fast! Digimodify! Ice Statue activate! Mothmon attacked he hit the statue instead but he felt weaker. "What is this..? I feel.. weak. What did you do to me?" Rick smirks, "The Ice Statue card when its attack, any power up you had received gets sapped away for a bit." Dracomon smirks as well, "Nice job partner, now to finish this Baby Breath!" Dracomon attacks with his fire breath again this time connecting his attack to Mothmon. "Aghh! I'm literally on fire!" As Mothmon screams he data dissolves into particles.
Rick breaths in relief. "Whew. Talk about a close save, but we did it! You we're awesome Dracomon!" Dracomon laughs a little, "I didn't do it alone. You helped me a lot back there. We're a team." Dracomon goes to hug Rick on there victory. "Yea, your right. Partner's for life right?" Dracomon responds, "Partner's for life!" The duo proceed to return home. As they walk through the town pass by a TV showing some kind of attraction which caught Dracomon. "Hey look, its that girl I saw on your computer." Rick turns around to look at what Dracomon was talking about. "Which girl and why were you on my computer without my permission?" Dracomon smiles nervously, "Uhhh, I was.. bored. Anyway the girl goes by the name of "Lissa". Rick thinks a bit. "Lissa? As in the Idol? Oh, I guess there's a performance of hers coming soon." The duo continue walking and Dracomon was wondering something. "Would it be funny if we ran into her?" Rick thinks on it. "It would be cool, that's rare chance don't you think?" Dracomon responds, "I don't know. I mean I was kind of a rare chance of appearing as your partner Digimon, right?" "Touché." Rick replied. Unknown to the duo, across the street, was a girl was looking the duo. She was with "friends" when she spotted them. They were saying some rude things about them not to the girl's liking. One of the girls said very sarcasticly, "Oooo, Digimon. He is such a child." Another girl said, "That boy needs to grow up. Right, Lissa?" Lissa responds in a way that she's part of the joke, "Alright that's enough girls. Lets get moving okay? We got better things to do than talk about someone's brother in a Halloween costume." One of the girls respond, "Yea, your right Lissa. Lets get a move on girls." As the groups was walking away, Lissa looks a the duo one last time apologetically.
