Konori and Kurozuma

Joule had gotten a text from Kuroko that Misaka had made it home, the text had come with a request too.

"Tomorrow we intend to meet up with Konori and help her get to Big Spider before Anti-skill, want to come to act as support?"

At that Joule had smiled and sent a reply that she would be honoured.

Next morning they met up and discussed the basics of the plan between themselves.

Kuroko explained "Satan isn't coming as she can't defend herself against the gang if they go after her, Uiharu is at the office ready to give us all the digital support we need."

Joule nodded "But why am I coming then, I can't fight?"

Misaka smiled "Correct me if I am wrong, your telepathic connections are relatively short ranged. We don't intend for you to come into the fight with us, just act as a communication center for if we are too busy fighting to get a message to Uiharu."

Joule nodded and she and Misaka touched one of Kuroko's arms each. There was a moment of dizzyness and they appeared in an alley infront of Konori.

She reacted with suprise upon seeing them "You three again? Why are you here?"

In a moment Kuroko teleported Misaka behind Konori. Misaka pinned a Judgement armband around Konori's upper arm and stood back in satisfaction.

Konori was just shocked "You brought my armband. But how did you?" she glanced up at Kuroko who winked.

Misaka looked up at her then "You know Konori, I think that look suits you."

At that she looked down at her arm and smiled.

Joule stepped forwards and began humming, They all felt the probe and let it in with no objection. The three were now in telepathic contact with Joule who could relay their messages.

Misaka chuckled out loud but she sent a mesage privately to Joule "Your Telepathy is odd, normally my power stops any Telepathy from affecting me unless I lower my guard."

Joule just smiled, continued humming and sent back "Maybe your trust in me helps it through"

The four of them nodded to each other.

Joule was listening to what was going on through Konori as she was the closest right now even if she hadn't got inside yet. She was standing on top of a roof, looking down at the hide-out of Big Spider.

Even though the people inside were talking loudly she couldn't quite hear it properly from where she was, she was glad for the ability to hear what one of the people in her personal network could hear.

A man she didn't know was inside and talking "Yeah, I know how good you are in the fight. But then Espers are pretty good at fighting too and they have proved no match for our numbers and weapons-"

Konori had reached the door now and she called out into the room "Hold it!"

From Konori's sight that she was sharing she could now see the inside of the building, The person that had been described as Kurozuma was there as well as the members of big spider.

Kurozuma asked "Mii?" he then smiled "You're looking good today."

The man in the back who seemed to be leading them spoke, his voice shaking "Is that you Konori?" to which Konori smiled "Hebitani, you've become quite the scumbag since last we met haven't you? Relying on your minions and weapons to win battles for you."

The man that Konori identified as Hebitani spat out a retort "Please you dumb brat, you don't know anything, you turned your back on us and joined up with judgement."

He looked around the room "Go on, show these two just how much we are capable of."

The followers raised their guns and Joule sent out a message "Now Kuroko!" followed quickly by another "Get a coin ready Misaka."

[[ACSR: RAILGUN SHOOT]]

Kuroko's sight was from one of the windows on top of the warehouse, she looked at the guns and needled them to prevent them from firing then teleported in herself.

"Hello there," she spoke cheerfully as she held up a needle "I'll be happy to stick these into your bodies if that would be quicker."

"Esper?" the man questioned loudly "We have our ways of dealing with you."

"Oh yeah?" came Misaka's voice from outside, she didn't even wait for Joule's signal before using a railgun to blast the truck into the building and then walking in through the hole left in the wall.

"Do you really think we'd fall for the same trap twice?" Misaka spoke scathingly. She turned to the man smiling "You must be stupider then you look."

The man gave his order "Kill the girl!" but the other members were backing away when they saw what they were facing.

A commotion rose from the members who very rightly didn't want to fight a level 5.

Hebitani took a pistol and threatened the other members "I said kill her else die now!"

Konori smiled and looked at Misaka and Kuroko "I want you two to stay out of this, please respect your elders for once, okay?"

Misaka and Kuroko had been getting ready but at Konori's words they just nodded to each other and Joule assured them that she'd say if they needed to get back in, Kuroko teleported herself and Misaka to the window she was hiding at a few moments before.

The fight then began in earnist, most charged towards Kurozuma but he just smirked and punched out the first two who reached him. A couple had the bright idea of targeting Konori, forgetting in the heat of the fight that Judgement taught hand-to-hand combat. They were taken out quickly too and Konori walked up besides Kurozuma and they faced down the remaining members together.

As she reached him Kurozuma was taunting "Come on boys, this is sad. You need to put some heart into it." as he said heart he kicked someone hard enough to make them hit the wall (The boxes next to the wall actually).

"Or else it won't be a challenge!" Kurozuma finished as he backhanded someone onto the floor.

A man started to draw something from a pocket but Joule observed Konori stare at the pocket before running forward and disarming the gun he was drawing. "I'll be taking that," the gun dropped to the floor and she kicked it towards the center of the room, she then reached into the man's coat "And this too," she pulled a stun gun out of his pocket before finishing "You don't need a stun gun do you?" before giving him a zap with his own weapon.

Kurozuma looked over to her and smiled "So your ablity is X-ray vision? Feels good to use it right?"

Konori blushed and smiled back "Sure does."

A man came towards Kurozuma swinging a pipe and he ducked and hit the guy while saying "I'm not going to let you have all the fun though!"

The two of them continued to fight their way through the melee, Kurozuma with powerful strikes and Konori with swift, precise movements and the stolen stun gun.

Eventually the sound quieted, only three were left standing. Kurozuma, Konori and Hebitani.

Kurozuma looked at Hebitani and asked "So, what will it be?"

Hebitani was silent for a moment before he started to laugh "You really think you've beaten us don't you? You're wrong," He unzipped his shirt "take a look at this!" to reveal that he was wearing a crude explosive vest.

He quickly pulled out and lit an igniter "Go on, I dare you to come closer, I'll blow us all sky high!"

Joule felt Kuroko about to jump in but Misaka stopped her. Joule just sent one message "If he lights the fuse, be ready to teleport everyone away."

Inside the building Hebitani was still standing there with the igniter "Well, what's the matter? Are you scared now?"

All Kurozuma did then was to take off his jacket, revealing his body underneath. "What a pain..."

Hebitani held the lighter up as if to ward him away "No, stay back! I'll blow us up!"

Kurozuma looked him dead in the eyes as he reminisced "Ah Hebitani, we had some good times together didn't we?"

Hebitani took a step back as Kurozuma took a step forward. "Stand still," Hebitani ordered "Not one step more!"

Kurozuma ignored him and continued walking towards him "We all used to hang out just because it was fun." Hebitani looked freaked out Kurozuma continued "What happened to that?"

Hebitani continued to say things about stopping until Kurozuma hit him. Hit him doesn't get the right idea across though, it was a single punch to the gut that mad him fall to his knees and broke the explosive jacket.

Even after Hebitani fell, Kurozuma kept his arm extended and asked "What happened to you? What changed? Why this?"

Hebitani groaned and said "I had no choice, what else could I have done? This is the only place we belong. I had to find a way to keep Big Spider together. And that could only happen if I took your place. And that is why," Suddenly a knife was pulled out from under his jacket "I have no choice but to eleminate you once and for all!"

The knife rose towards Kurozuma's chest, but before it hit a sucker punch hit Hebitani in the face. He was not only knocked to the floor, Hebitani bounced twice and slid back.

Kurozuma looked down at him "Hebitani, that isn't where you belong, your place is wherever you can be yourself. Haven't you realised that? You can't be yourself if you are pretending to be me."

Misaka and Kuroko teleported back into the room, Konori looked over at them and smiled. Joule sent them all a message, she was coming down to meet up with them now that the crisis had passed.

A minute or two later Anti-skill showed up and at Konori's direction began arresting the members of Big Spider that were just starting to wake up.

Joule met up with the four from the building but Konori requested that she stand back with the others so she could talk to Kurozuma herself. Joule agreed and broke up the mental network and sat back with Misaka and Kuroko.

Kurozuma was glancing at the Anti-skill trucks and he sighed "I'm glad that is over at least."

He looked at Konori and smiled before putting his arms together as if to be hand-cuffed "Here." he drew Konori's attention to it.

Konori looked sad before Kurozuma smiled again, giving her confidence. She spoke formally "Wataru Kurozuma, On behalf of judgement I am placing you under arrest for suspicion of assult."

A quiet laugh came from Misaka and a wry smile appeared on the faces of Kuroko and Joule.

Konori prepared her hand-cuffs and put them on Kurozuma. He smiled and looked at her Judgement armband "That looks good on you." he complemented before leaning down and examining her chest "Your jacket looks tigher than when you last wore it." Konori blushed "Yes well, I do drink milk every day." The two smiles as if they had just told an old joke.

The three girls with them looked down at their own chests and sighed.

Joule talk 12: Left out and Looking forward

When Joule got home Gunvolt was making supper.

When she told him of the last few days he looked up in suprise

"I would have helpped if you had asked." he explained

Joule shrugged "I'm fairly sure my friends could have dealt with it without me, there was no need to pull you away from your project."

Gunvolt nodded. The new job he had taken was exactly what he needed and Joule had even offered to help. They both wanted that job to be a success.

The targets had been found recently and were being transfered to a hospital to treat them.

Even if his current employer was only out of prison on bail, she was at least not breaking the law with her current plan.

Joule smiled at him as he served supper.

Welp, that is a thing, if you know the railgun series well enough you should easily know GV's new employer but I am hiding it for now.

Either way end of the Big Spider arc. I don't feel like it was the arc to include the characters as really Konori and Kurozuma are the arcs main characters.
