[ACMI: Hizumi]

GV slid down the wall using an electromagnetic field, the rebar in the wall made for a good target for it. He dropped onto a balcony before knocking on the window softly. There was a sound of movement from inside the room followed by the rustle of fabric as the person inside slid the curtains away. A young woman with wide eyes and black hair looked out. He waved from just outside of the window's sight and she opened the window to look.

At this he poked his head out of hiding and spoke "Greetings Miss Nunotaba. I believe you were inquiring after my services. I did send the message saying I would come to you, correct?"

The woman was shocked for a moment before asking "Are you [Bolt from the blue]?"

GV nodded and she opened her window wider to allow him to come in to her small apartment. He did so and at her direction sat on a chair she pointed to.

Nunotaba Shinobu sat down on her own chair and began to explain "On the 20th I will need a bodyguard as I intend to enter a restricted section of the lab that I work at, if I was captured then I would likely be silenced."

GV nodded "And the large group to be saved?"

Nunotaba took a deep breath and began "Many years ago, some scientists obtained a gene map of one of academy city's level 5 espers. From that a project was started that involved the cloning of this level 5 on a massive scale. The intent was to create an army of level 5s."

GV nodded again but more slowly.

Nunotaba continued "It was discovered that the clones could only replicate her powers up to level 2 or 3 and so the project was scrapped. A few years ago however they found a new project that could use the sister units; Level 6 Shift."

GV frowned "Is that what is sounds like? I though Espers only went up to level 5?"

Nunotaba nodded "Normally yes, this project was to take the highest level Esper and train him to become a level 6. The method however was twisted."

She took a deep breath and spoke quickly "The clones would be combat opponents for him for him in battles to the death, 20,000 clones who have free will are forced to die, normally at least six of them die per day!"

GV was shocked into silence as she continued in a more level tone of voice "He has already been doing this for four years at this point and he's killed over 8,000 of them. The experiment must stop."

There was silence for a moment before GV spoke "Do you want to hire me as an assassin instead?"

Nunotaba looked up in shock as he continued "I would give discount rates on the assassination on this level 5."

She laughed softly and sadly "You wouldn't stand a chance against him, regardless it isn't even all his fault. He has been taught not to see the clones as 'People' he currently sees them as something like training devices. If we can break down that mindset then he likely wouldn't kill any more of them."

GV silently reflected on this level 5. It was pitiable in some form of distorted way. An Esper being taught that a group of people had no value? Take that a step further and you could have something like the Sumeragi seven, a trained killer that did not care about his targets.

If he could stop the level 5 from becoming a monster and save the remaining clones, then this would be a good plan.

[ASG:Beginning of a Long Night]

"So," he asked Nunotaba "what's the plan?"

She smiled "The clones have a hive mind they can use to communicate thoughts and feelings to each other." She pulled out a data stick from her pocket "This contains the closest thing they have to emotional data, opionions formed after one of them drank tea. I have intensified that feeling and will upload it to their network to make all the clones acknowledge the fact that they have emotions and free will."

GV nodded as he replied "So they gain self preservation instincts and refuse to fight the level 5, he then sees them as people and refuses to fight them, stopping the project?"

Nunotaba nodded "Exactly, the restricted section of the lab that I work at has a computer that controls some machines I invented that give the clones their minds. I can use that computer to the clones currently getting their minds to place the emotional data into the network."

GV nodded "I'm in, I'll give you the discount rates as we are doing a good thing."

GV waited in the lab's basement. He had been able to get there via some hacking and traveling under academy city. At first it had surprised him that most labs were connected underground but it made some kind of sense. If a lab needed to get rid of evidence, they weren't just going to bring them through the front door.

He had begun exploring the underground paths over the last few weeks after Joule told him of how Therestina Kihara likely used it to beat them to the lab with the comatose students.

It was past time for Nunotaba to arive and he wondered what was keeping her. Finally however he heard the door above him open and close followed by a few steps down the stairs. He waited a moment longer before she quietly called "Blue? Are you here?"

He revealed himself and joined her as they made their way to the computer that controled the learning devices.

GV quietly asked "What kept you?" Her quiet voice came back "They highered mercenaries to guard here and another lab, I needed to wait for my distraction in the other lab to draw them away."

GV nodded and the two of them continued on.

And finally the plot of the sisters arc is known by someone else!

My god, most of the plot in this arc is just Misaka

Either way at the end of the chapter it is the 20th (probably)
