Meeting with a shadow

GV was spending the morning of August 22 thinking while walking around town. He was putting together a list; There seemed to be a couple ways to stop the experiment now and he was considering if they could be done.

Option one would be to have the level 5 that Nunotaba said was the core of the experment quit. The units themselves might have been able to convince him had they received that update data. He didn't know what Last Order was but by blocking that upload it might have doomed the units to death.

Option two is to take the level 5 out of the equation, likely through death. If the esper was really as powerful as Nunotaba said it was then this idea was unlikely to work.

Option three in these cases then became 'destruction of support' or at least that was Zeno taught planning and prioritising. In this case it might be sabotaging labs related to the program, however that didn't seem to have a large effect. Nunotaba claimed that Railgun was helping with that but from the reasearch he did last night they were only stronger after all of that.

GV sighed as he walked down the path in the park. It was getting later so he needed a plan. It would likely involve Railgun in some way so he would have to meet up with her to plan.

[ACMI: Nichijou]

A few minutes later he saw two surprising faces looking at a cardboard box with a cat inside. The boy looked to be the same he had once allowed to run away from Railgun, the second was clearly one of the clones.

They seemed to be talking about the cat. As he approached he was just in time to hear the boy say "Okay, okay," before bending down to pick up the kitten "I guess you are coming with me."

The sister looked back at the sound of his footsteps, metal boots could be loud when not trying to hide the noise.

GV greeted them politely and the boy shrugged and greeted him back. The sister unit stayed quiet at his approach.

He decided to start with the one that would likely converse more openly so he turned to the boy "I never did learn your name but it seems you are doing better since I last saw you?"

The boy scratched his head "I'm sorry but when did we meet, my memory isn't that good."

GV glanced at the sister unit who was listening attentively before looking back to the boy "Over a month ago when Mikoto Misaka tried to electrocute you?"

The boy shook his head "Sorry I don't remember, that sort of thing happens a lot." He held out his hand "My name is Touma Kamijou, good to meet you."

"Likewise, my name is-" He paused for a moment trying to pick which name to use "Genki, call me Genki."

"One name?" Touma had a questioning look but GV brushed it away "I don't have a family name, long story."

Finally GV turned to the sister unit "And which of Misaka's sisters are you then?"

While Touma was confused "More than one?" the sister looked up at him as if concidering the answer before querying quietly "First, ZXC741ASD852QWE963, do you know the password?"

GV shook his head, he hadn't heard that password yet and so the sister answered "Then think of me as simply a younger sister it is easier for you, Misaka replies with a sigh."

Touma asked his question again louder "She has more than one sister?"

GV looked at the sister unit and weighed his options, but before he could answer she did "Big sister Misaka has a lot of younger siblings, informs Misaka without a shread of doubt."

GV simply looked at Touma and shrugged as if that explained everything. He was however seeing now what Nunotaba had hinted at before, that the clones really were people in their own right; They self-identify and have independent thought, the two keys to free will. Either way he had a job to do.

"I'm sorry, I don't want to take too much of your time, but do you know where your big sister is?"

The sister stared blankly at him for a few moments before speaking "She was seen getting on a tour bus earlier, Misaka promises, but it has been quite some time and Misaka doesn't know the route it takes."

GV sighed "Where did it pick up from?"

The sister unit told him and he departed with a wave to the two of them.

Finding the bus took longer than he planned but it was eventually obvious, Misaka had gone to the 'Tree Diagram Information Receival Center'

Likely the supercomputer had run the calculations for the experiment in the first place so she might be on her way to hack it.

GV got to work and ran, it already being late afternoon.

Either way GV meeting a sister unit. He gets a chance to use his fake name again.

Also for those readers who also read my other story, I'm sorry it hasn't uploaded but it isn't really my fault. My upload date for that story was on Christmas day and New Years day, and I wanted a break. Sorry for that cliffhanger.
