Ride of the saviors

The three ran towards Accelerator's testing ground for the night. Both Misaka's and Touma's phones had been damaged in her last attack so they were relying on GV's for an accurate time, they were late though. The test had started.

GV came to a snap decision and spoke "Misaka and I will go ahead to help the sister, we'll then try to lure Accelerator to you."

Touma frowned slightly before replying "Fine, just don't do anything that would cause the scientists to think you two beat him."

GV laughed quietly before replying "I don't know if we could. Either way, Misaka are you okay with me carrying you so we could go faster?"

Misaka looked over confused "Very well but what exactly are you planning?"

GV stopped for a moment as did Misaka, Touma kept running. GV lifted her up and Misaka was slightly surprised he was strong enough as he didn't look it.

He then took a step and Misaka felt the magnetic field forming before they were suddenly shot forward.

Touma was ahead of them and he had just went down a staircase to ground level. Misaka wondered if GV intended to go down the stairs carrying her but he just leaped off the raised area and use magnetic force to slow them down on the landing.

As they shot past Touma GV spoke "Be quick Touma, I don't know how long we could hold him."

Touma said something in reply but by that time they were already ahead.

"I kind of get what he was saying before, about if the sisters. I have been thinking of them as one group that needs saving but it isn't that. Each of them might look the same but underneath they have lives and ideas of their own." Misaka spoke as GV carried her. He just nodded at that, not wanting to take his eyes off the path.

After a few more moments he stopped "Jitt, no more cables under this path, We are close but we will need to walk from here." He let Misaka stand and the two of them ran on.

Joule looked out the window of the apartment, she had seen the lightning.

"Shall I check it out Joule?" Lumen asked.

"Yes," Joule replied "make sure he is safe."

[ACSRS: Ketsui to kakugo]

They arrived in time to hear the sister roll painfully against the switchyard ground. They had discussed the plan on the way here.

Misaka stepped in to the switchyard to confront Accelerator. He was talking to the sister as he hadn't yet noticed Misaka had arrived "Aren't you guys all supposed to be mentally linked together or something? I gave one of your buddies a big hint during the last experiment. Shouldn't you have had time to learn from it by now?"

"Accelerator!" Misaka called out, before he got too close to the sister on the ground.

"What?" Accelerator was surprised by her sudden voice and he looked over to see her holding an arcade token.

Misaka aimed not at him but at the pile of containers next to him. Accelerator saw that and laughed "You again? You think you can do any better this time? You know you can't hurt me!"

"Oh really?" Misaka fired and the containers began to fall, her shot had knocked the bottom container so that it didn't support them all.

Accelerator sighed "Yes, really." and lifted his hand. When the first container reached him it suddenly changed direction and it flew towards Misaka.

She quickly through up a magnetic field to throw the container out of the way but another was already coming.

Accelerator saw a slight movement out of his periphery so he threw the last container towards the movement, in that instant GV rushed out and pulled the sister to her feet.

He began to pull her away but he had to duck a reaching hand from Accelerator and on pure instinct he kicked out at the same time.

Just before his leg made contact it hit "Something" and he felt a wrenching pain.

He flew back, his leg twisted at an impossible angle.

"Gen-" Misaka called out then she stopped herself and continued "GV!"

GV kept a straight face as Accelerator turned to him "Two dumb moves, idiot, First was coming here in the first place, second was trying to hurt me. I could kill a person for that you realise. You should just hobble home now while you can!"

Misaka used electromagnetism to throw another crate but Accelerator just threw it right back "And you!" He turned to Misaka then "I would have thought a level 5 was smart enough to realise when they are beaten. What do you think you could beat me? There are two ranks separating us you realise!"

GV was taking this time to hobble but home wasn't where he was going, he escorted the sister behind some containers.

She looked at him "Why are you doing this, askes Misaka who cannot explain you coming to save her?"

GV's smile was pained "Your big sister is trying hard to help you, she wouldn't let you die."

"I mean you, why did you come, Misaka clarifies." the sister clarified.

GV sighed dramatically as he sat on a pile of metal bars "Because it was the right thing to do, okay?"

"That is illogical, noted Misaka." "I am aware."

Misaka meanwhile was dodging objects that Accelerator was throwing at her one at a time "What move are we up to now, Level 5? 50? 100? I was told you would die before 200 so I really hope you make this fun for me!"

Finally one of the objects (A metal bar like the ones GV was sitting on) hit her, dislocating the shoulder of the arm she fired her railguns from. She yelled out in pain.

"Now both of you have a wounded limb," Accelerator spoke loudly so that all of them could hear him "if you give me the doll I will let you go without killing you. What a good offer right?"

A new voice spoke then, near the entrance that the two electromasters had come in. "You won't be hurting anyone else."

Misaka held her arm and looked over to see Touma standing there bravely. "You made it." she said quietly.

And the battle with Accelerator begins. I will be splitting this into a few chapters, maybe 3-5 depending on how long I make them.

Either way yes. The time has come for the battle I have been waiting for.

You might wonder why I changed the order of events. Mostly it was so GV got to the fight sooner than if (as in the original) Misaka stayed at the bridge until the battle began.
