Study group and clean-up

[ACSR: Chiisana Nozomi]

GV waited in the frog doctor's office, he was taking a quick break before the talk began. The door opened and Heaven canceler walked in followed by Mikoto Misaka, the railgun.

"You're here?" Misaka asked in mild shock upon seeing GV but he just nodded "I am just checking in to see everything is calming down in regards to your sisters."

Misaka didn't need to explain she was here for the same reason so they both seated themselves to let the doctor begin.

"I'm sure you will be happy to hear that they are all doing well. That also includes the one who was injured. She seems to be making good progress, on the surface anyhow."

"What does that mean?" Misaka asked slowly. The doctor tilted his digital clip board so that Misaka could see what was on it as he continued "Following my initial examination, I have learned a few things." Misaka took the offered pad and looked at it as he continued "As we suspected, they are clones created from the somatic cells of the original, you of course. During the creation process various drugs were administered to the culture fluid that they were born in. These drugs promoted rapid growth of their bodies. They developed incredably quickly from fertilized eggs to their current form in a mere 14 days. The girls already have a shorter lifespan than ordinary people but the accelerated growth they went through has shortened it even further."

"Shortened? How much?" Misaka sounded worried.

"I can't really give you an exact timeline," the doctor thought with his hand on his chin "But I would guess in their current state they have a year or two."

There was a sound of creaking as Misaka sat back against her chair "Oh no."

Seeing the mood in the room had just dropped the doctor spoke "Which is why they need to be adjusted."

"Adjusted?" Misaka asked as the doctor pointed out on the pad that seemed to be showing hormone levels. The doctor continued "Here, take a look at this. What we will do is balance the hormones that promote rapid growth and regulate the rate of division of the cell nuclei, by doing so we should be able to recover a certain degree of their lifespans."

He smiled and continued "We can't let so many young lives be cut short can we? We are currently in the process of dividing this research among organizations outside of the city. There will be constant communication between these facilities insuring that everything that can be done for them, is."

Misaka smiled "Outside facilities? That sounds perfect."

The doctor continued "The fight for those girls will continue and while it may be a long road, this time at least it won't be a fight for their lives, merely a battle so they can live."

After a few moments more of checking the electronic pad, Misaka bowed and left the room. Now with only Heaven canceler and GV in the room, GV spoke "Can those outside facilities be trusted, wouldn't the city try to do something to prevent their work being copied?"

The doctor sighed and began "The cloning process that academy city used for those girls was a fairly standard one, you heard of dolly the sheep right?"

GV nodded so the doctor went on "The main secrets that would be leaving the city would be the drugs used to speed up the aging of the girls. The Testament unit that they were taught with doesn't even need to be mentioned to them as it isn't part of the issue."

GV nodded again "So they will honestly be safe out there?"

The doctor nodded and GV stood to go but before he left the doctor stopped him.

"One more thing, I heard what happened to Nunotaba Shinobu."

GV stopped and looked around.

The doctor nodded when he saw he had GV's attention "She was sold to a group called STUDY. Their front is a medical technology company which is how I heard about this."

GV nodded "I'll look into it."

[ACSR: Uiharu Kazari]

Joule rang the bell on the door and Saten opened it "Come on in, we were just checking what ingredients everyone bought."

Entering the room Joule saw boxes full of high quality beef on the floor, Uiharu meanwhile was digging through her own shopping bag.

"I focused on summer vegetables, stuff that's in season like corn. I also bought this pack of mushrooms and some tofu." Uiharu took out each ingredient as she named them.

Misaka smiled "Sounds tasty and healthy."

[ACSR: Onee-sama...]

Kuroko gave one of her creepy smiles before starting "I brought something that can enhance a young lady's natural beauty. You should prepare yourselves because I think you're going to be very impressed with my contribution to the pot."

Uiharu looked impressed "Sounds interesting Shirai. What did you bring?"

Kuroko was clearly enjoying the attention but she acted modest, or rather as modest as she was able to and continued "I admit, I was unsure of what to bring at first. There I was, standing in the pet shop with plump mice in my hand, not certain what to do."

The reaction from everyone else was near instant at that comment but Kuroko pushed right on "However! It wasn't long before I had an epiphany and I knew I had found an ingredient fit for Sissy!"

If anything that made the fear on Misaka's face grow but Kuroko continued right on "The ingredient that I chose is; Turtle! It will enhance sissy's fresh youthful skin making it even more beautiful than before!"

Kuroko then tried to get Misaka to drink turtle blood, long story short she was knocked out by a walking stun gun. It was then Joule's turn.

"Umm, I bought eggs." Joule said slightly shyly, she took the plastic box that the hard boiled eggs had been stored in as she carried them here.

Uiharu smiled "Eggs, good to have."

They began the pot and in went the stock and the ingredients (Including the turtle, Kuroko had bought it for all of them to share of course).

After the pot had been emptied and Uiharu was putting in new ingredients Saten wondered if Haruue would get there before they finished everything.

"You know, it's a real mystery." Uiharu said something for seemingly no reason so Kuroko obligingly asked "What's a mystery?"

Uiharu continued "Why is it that food always seems to taste better when it's eaten as a group?"

That bought smiles to everyone.

"I think cooking it while we eat like this makes a difference too." Saten commented "I guess there is nothing that beats home cooking when it comes to stew or cookies, right Misaka?"

Misaka coughed out the soup she was drinking at Saten's comment.

Saten enjoyed the chaos she created for a moment before the door bell rang again, it was Haruue, she had noodles.

As the sun set and twilight began the friends enjoyed each other's company. Of course they did get studying done but they would all remember the stew better than anything else that day. Joule also gave out her tickets and (After turning the light's off so she couldn't get stage fright in-front of her friends and Saten using a flashlight as a spot light) Joule gave a small performance of her song.

Right, so the start of the silent party arc.

GV isn't going to charge in looking for Shinobu, he is going to do some investigations on his own to find her. It was bad form for hired help to let her be captured in the first place.

Next time; The idol event! ...Maybe
