"I thought my powers woild come back, after resting, as I have t protect my ffiends!" Casey said.
"Yeah right, like a runt like you can stop me, without our so-called powers, you have nothing!" a voice said making her turn around, seeing a monster that looked like it was ade out of symbiote there.
"So what, uncle Rockie doesn't have powers, and he's awesome!" Casey said feeling her courage returning, making the monster chuckle makimg her friends, especially Crystal and Yama vanish, leaving her alone...
Casey was then awake after that, realising it was three in themorning, but was a bit shaky after that bad dream she had, breathing deeply hearing her mom come in, sensing something was wrong with her, makin Casey feel bad dreams, makimg her guess it was mom senses goimg to the kit hen, noticing that Rocket, Ranger and Riley were exhausted, guessing they'd had bad dreams too seeing Crystal there wonderimg what was going on with her mentor and his sibs, noticing that Casey also looked tired.
"We've been having trouble sleeping recently, which is odd for us." Rocket said.
She noticed that something from her world was in the compound, making Casey curious, seeing her going out of the kitchen, stunned that an Nightmare Beast was why her best friend, along with her mentor, and his sibs, making Casey ask what she had sensed hearing her explain makimg her impressed.
"How do we stop it, Crystal?" she askdd her.
"The only way to weaken, or defeat an Nightmare Beast is being brave, which we can do." she told her. making Casey sigh, because she wasn't feelijg brave, feelimg her squeeze her paw gently, because normally, Casey was the brave and condifent one.
"Don't worry, we can do this, me and you." Crystal said which was making her feel better, seeing the nightmare creature, grabbing at Crystal despite hr wearing her super-armour, makimg something bubble inside of her.
"Powers or no powers, I'm still Raccoon Girl, so leave Crystal alone!" she said, unaware that she was glowing, impressing Crystal, noticing her friend's powers were back, but boosted, watching her kicking the nightmare beast's butt, impressing her, seeing Casey yawning hearing her ask, that if the nightmare monster was gone, then she and her family could sleep, making Crystal nod.
"We should go check on uncle Rockie, okay?" she said rubbing her eyes with her paw, being on her friend's back goimg to the living area, seeing that Rocket was asleep, resting his furry head on the kitchen table, seeing Crystal pick him up gently, putting him on one of the couches, which was more comfortable for him to sleep on, along with Ranger and Riley.
"I'm gonna go sleep, then we'll figure things out." Casey replied goijg to her room.
Crystal understood checking on her, seeing her asleep, tucking her into her bed, kissimg her furry forehead, seeing a smile on her face in sleep makimg her relieved, leaving er be, so would check on her later.
Later the next few days, Casey began to stir, remembering the other day, seeing that Crystal had texted, replying, using her super-speed power to go to the kitchen, almost knockijg over her uncle making her anxious, seeing Rocket happy, that her powers had returned but strongerfnoticimg she was glowing.
"Yeah, that's been happening since the other day, after bearing that nightmare creature." Casey replied.
"That's intresting, just like your mom..." Rocket replied to her, makimg her confused, seeimg Celesta smile alomg with their mom and dad as they had been sleepimg too, explaining about her powers evolving, making her impressed, and curious wondering what that meant, makimg them exchange asmile, guessing she had to figure it out on her own.
"I'm just worried, that when she gets upset, or angry, or faked out, that won't mean I'm on the recieving end of amplifiedpowers because of it?" Rocket said making Celesta understand, , assuring him that her and Casey's mom would teach Casey, to be in control of herself and her powers, stunned that her younger twin-sister's powers had evolved so early, makimg Rocket guess, that Casey was a pretty rare member of the family, guessing maybe joining the Avengers intern program might help, making Casey's parents exchange a look.
"Maybe we should make up our minds, Rocket even though it might help, with her evolved powers." Soren told him.
"I get it, but I wouldn't put Casey in a dangerous situation, I am her uncle after all." Rocket told them.
"We'll talk about it later, when Casey isn't around or in bed." Poppy told him.
Celesta understood, as it was rare that her younger twin-sis had gotten her powers boosted, when she was this little, guessing that was why their uncle wanted Casey to be in the Avengefs intern program, even if hir parents freaked out, drinking coffee making Rocket smirk, telling Casey to get a snack, while he and her parents were talkimg, seeing Crystal there, wondering what was goimg on, tellimg her.
"That's cool, but maybe your parents will let you join the program, and awesome that your powers came back, but stronger." she told Casey seeijg her drinkimg ice-tea along with eatimg cookies hoping her parents would let her join the program, makimg Crystal nod drinking soda after training with Rocket, makijg Casey grin at her best friend, after she told her how it went.
